Always dancing when you’re around • Ana Maria Crnogorčević
Hidden moments with Ana whilst your relationship is hidden from the public, until it isn’t not more. This fic is requested!
Tumblr media
“You’ve had too much to drink.” Ana giggled as you cling onto her arms, stumbling around with a cheeky grin on your face.
“We just won the best trophy, EVER!” You exaggerate, grabbing Patri’s hand. “MVP MVP MVP.” You began to chant, the rest of the team joining in.
You hiccuped and held onto Ana’s waist to keep you stood up right. She was the sober one, not a fan of drinking, but you had taken this opportunity to drink and oh did you drink…
“Baby, I feel all fizzy.” You held onto her, sliding your arms around her waist to keep you on your feet.
“Fizzy?” She chuckled. “Y/N/N, do you mean dizzy?”
You hummed and giggled, looking up at her. “Kiss me” You bit your lip, you hands rubbing at her sides.
“That I can do.” Your girlfriend smirks, leaning down to break the height barrier and kissing you softly until you pull away for a breath of air.
“You taste like cola” You tell her, dropping your head on her chest.
Later that night you were laying in bed with Ana, you were dead to the world as you were slotted between the taller girls strong thighs, your head on her chest.
She scrolled through her Instagram feed, clicking on Claudia’s story to see a video of Patri and Cata doing shots, what Claudia didn’t realise is that she had also captured yours and Ana’s heated moment in the back of the video which had now been posted for the world to see.
And that’s where the talking started. You and Ana had almost been dating a year when the first idea of you as a couple had popped into the public eye, and the fans went crazy for it.
-
When the full time whistle blows, you shake hands with the Switzerland team. Your eyes however only looking for one person. Your person.
"Y/N!" You turn around and see Ana calling you over, stood with Mariona and Lia.
"Hey" You smile softly, just wanting to wrap your arms around the taller girl and tell her how sorry you are.
Spain beat Switzerland 5-1 to advance to the quater finals. You were happy for your team but the feeling was bittersweet as you knocked your girlfriend out of the tournament.
"I'm sorry." You smile sadly with a few tears pricking in your eyes, you didn't like to see Ana sad and knowing you scored 2 against her makes it worse.
"Don't be sorry my love." She puts an arm around you and you hug her gently, being careful with your actions as your relationship is well and truly kept out of the public eye.
You tug on the bottom of her jersey as you pull away from each other. "Can we swap?"
"Of course!" She smiles through her tears, pulling her shirt off and swapping with you.
You keep control of yourself to not look at her with the eyes that are kept away from the rest of the world. Mariona nudged you and giggled when she saw you trying hard to look away from Ana's body.
"I wish we didn't have to do that." You frown, looking at her sad eyes. "I just want to hug you so bad right now." You breathe out.
"Me too, but not here, love." Ana looks at you with her loving eyes, the ones filled with adoration saved especially for you. "I'll find you inside." she promises.
You nod as you continue to chat for a while, until Alexia comes over and tells you that the national team staff have asked for everyone to come into the changing room to get ready to head back to the hotel as you had a flight to catch.
-
Once you'd changed back into your travel wear you put Ana's jersey into your own bag to keep it with you so it wasn't to get lost with the luggage for the kitman.
You waited outside the Swiss changing room with Mariona, turning your head everytime the door opened.
Finally Ana emerged alongside a few of her teammates that you didn't know too well. She told them that they should go off ahead and that she would catch them up, wanted a few minutes with her 'club teammates'.
Mariona turned her back to keep watch for Vilda or any of the other spanish staff that would put an end to the meeting.
"I love you so much." You whispered as Ana held you close, rubbing her hands up your sides as she kissed you softly. "Keep messaging me everyday, even when you go back to Switzerland?" You ask, holding her hands in yours and fiddling with her ring, the ring you have the matching bracelet too.
"I'll message you everyday sweetheart." She kissed your forehead. "Go show the world what a true star you are yeh? I've seen the running for Golden boot. Your in the lead." She smirks. "I want the trophy on the shelf above the bed. Next to the photo of us on the beach."
"I'll try my hardest." You nod, going on tiptoes again to kiss her, melting into each others touch but being broken apart when Mariona coughs, the signal to tell you to split because someone was close by.
Ana presses one more kiss onto your mouth. "I could kiss you forever." She whispers. "I'll see you soon."
-
On the bus to the airport you sit besides Mariona. You could say you were best friends but she was more like your sister.
"What's the address for the base camp hotel?" You lift your head up from her shoulder.
"Um, it's on my phone somewhere. Sent it to Laia the other day. Why?"
"Ana just asked. Said she wants to send something." You shrug your shoulders a little to say you didn't know much more than that. "Can you send her it from yours?"
She nods.
"Thank you."
You rest your head back onto her shoulder and scroll through social media.
Someone had been keen to spying out the events between you and Ana after the game as photos and videos had made it to Twitter already.
Under a photo of you swapping shirts there were loads of comments saying 'Aww' and 'Barca friends!' but a few fans weren't silly and they knew what they were looking at.
One comment said: 'Reason 1482 to why I think they're dating! Watch Mariona giggling at Y/N when Ana takes off her shirt!🤣'
You smirked to yourself and slipped your phone away, trying to get a bit of sleep before the plane ride.
-
Why Ana wanted the team hotel address all came clear a few days later when a parcel turned up for you.
"Y/N, a package!" Vilda calls you over after a training session, handing you the brown box.
"Thank you."
You take the box up to your room and put it on the bed. "What did you order?" Mariona asks, laying on her bed in your shared room.
"Nothing" You tell her, using a pen to stabbed at the tape to open it up. "I think it's from Ana."
You open the box to see one of her hoodies, one she took back from you after you'd 'borrowed' it from her in the first place. You smile as you lift it up and put it onto the bed, seeing her Barca shorts from a few seasons back with '18' on the leg of them. She knew you loved to wear her old Barca stuff around the apartment and for bed sometimes.
You find a beaded bracelet with the letter of your name on, another with an A too. A small note telling you that she has the matching ones.
"You two make me sick, your so soppy." Mariona teases, flopping back the bed.
Rummaging through your bag you pull out your phone and try to call her. It goes to answer phone a few times then you realise she must still be travelling home to Switzerland.
Instead, you decide to leave her a message.
You
I love you Ana. Call me when you land, I miss your voice. ❤️
-
Spain get knocked out by the Netherlands and your on your flight home when you see the message you’ve been waiting for pop up on your phone.
Ana 👅👅
Flying back to Barca tomorrow morning babygirl, I’ll crash at yours and pick you up from airport xx
You giggle at the name of her contact, remembering when she had changed the name one evening on the bus home from an away game. You hadn’t changed it back.
-
The day after you arrive back in Spain, Ana packs your bags and takes you out for the day. All secrets. That’s what she told you.
She drives down the main road and you wonder where you are going to, she only told you it was a trip. The beach? A night further down the coast line of Spain?
“The airport.” You look at her, half excited and half very confused.
“I’m taking you away for a trip to my home. For our anniversary.” She smiles, looking very incredibly pleased with herself.
“Switzerland?!” You gasp a little, having wanted to visit Ana’s home country for so long.
-
The plane ride dragged a little, having only been home for less than 24 hours.
You got through customs and collected your bags, deciding to get a coffee to help keep you awake.
“Here” You pass Ana her coffee, taking a sip of yours before screwing your face up. “Oh my god, that’s fucking rank.” You whisper, keeping your voice down with the language you chose to use.
Ana chuckled, taking your coffee and switching it with hers. “Have this one.”
“Thank you, bebita” You used the spanish pet name she loved so much.
You stared into her eyes a little too long and you were snapped out of it when two teen girls came rushing over.
“Hi! We are big Barcelona fans, could we get a picture?” The tallest girl asks.
“Your my favourite player!” The smaller girl tells you.
You take selfies with them and sign their phone case before they rush off back to wherever they appeared from.
-
Within minutes your phone was blowing up with mentions and tags on your social medias. Photos of you and Ana sharing coffee and looking at each other with loving eyes had been stuck on the internet. Typical.
Comments:
- OMG THEY’RE SO CUTE
- They are defo dating!!!!!
- Y/N is wearing Ana’s jacket!! Look 3 posts ago on her feed - it’s the same one!
- WHERE IS THIS? 😱😱
“Hmmm, they know.” Ana mumbles into your hair, her chin resting on the top of your head.
“We did well keeping it quiet for so long”
-
You trip in Switzerland was almost over, one day left before you had to fly back to Barcelona.
“I want to post something.” Ana breaks you out of your thought as you search through the suitcase to find your pyjamas.
“Post what?” You look at her, finding the shorts you were after and getting changed.
“Us.. for today, our anniversary. One year is a big deal Y/N”
You nod, looking at her. “If your okay with that then I’m cool with it too.” You smile.
Ana took her phone out and made an Instagram post with a caption:
One year with my favourite girl❤️‍🩹
In the post she attached a few photos and videos along with it.
1. A photo of you walking up ahead, climbing a mountain in Switzerland.
2. A video of you both dancing in the changing room after the champions league final. Ana had put her arms around you and forced you to dance in the middle of the locker room.
3. A photo of you both with the UWCL trophy on the pitch after the match.
4. A photo of you asleep in bed, a blanket covering you and a sleep mask with false lashes she had stuck on the top to make it look funny.
5. A video of Ana giving you a piggy back on the beach. Keira had taken this video on a double date with her and Lucy.
6. A photo of you in each others jerseys after the world cup match, Mariona and Lia stood at your sides too after they had switched as well.
7. A photo of you asleep on Ana as she tried to read a book, your head nestled into her neck.
8. A photo of you and Ana on the beach. You had your hands over your breasts, as you had stripped from you bikini top, and sunglasses on your head. Ana sat behind you and peering over your shoulder making a silly face.
9. A video of you dancing in the rain outside the stadium in Germany at your game against Bayern.
10. A picture of you both kissing in the club after the UWCL win.
You smiled as the tag came up on your Instagram feed, reposting the post onto your story with the video of you dancing in the rain.
Giggling as you wrote a cheesy caption with
‘Always dancing your around 😘’

After the fall (Alexia x Reader)
Part Two to this ficlet.
A/N: I don't know anything about injures or medicine so I'm sorry if it might does not make sense.
Alexia is sitting in one of the seats in the hallway of the hospital. The dried tear stains are still visible on her face, while her leg bounces in anxiety on not knowing what is going on with you.
As soon as the ambulance arrived in the hospital you were wheeled away, leaving Alexia behind to wait for any updates on you, but so far she has received nothing, not a single word was said to her about what state you are currently in or what's being done to you.
And that was almost thirty minutes ago already.
The wait was driving her insane. Her mind keeps wandering to a lot of what if scenarios. What if you woke up with no one by your side? What if you have serious injuries that could affect your life? What if you will never be able to play the sport you love so much again? What if the fall was life-threatening?
A hand, landing on her shoulder, breaks Alexia out of her thoughts. Looking up, she hopes to be finally met with a medical member to get an update, but instead she is met with a concerning Mapi, some of your other teammates right behind her. In realization, her shoulder slump in defeat.
She informed the entire team of the location of the hospital after arrival and of course she is grateful that she won’t be alone anymore, but there is nothing she would love more than receiving an update on you.
“I haven’t heard anything yet.”, Alexia quietly mutters to the defender in front of her. Mapi squeezes her shoulder in return, hoping to give her some comfort. Everyone who was allowed to come to the hospital sat down on the other chairs in the hallway. For the most part it was quiet, no one really finding words to say, except the usual “They will be okay.” and “We will make it through this together.”.
But with every minute passing, doubt started to set in. If it really will be okay, then it wouldn’t take as long as it would, right?
Before the thoughts can take over again though, the door, where you were wheeled in earlier, opens up. A doctor steps out with a clipboard in his hand, he shortly looks down at said board before turning his attention to the group, “Here for Y/N L/N?”.
At the mention of your name, Alexia immediately jumps up from her seat, “Yes, is she okay? Can I see her?”.
“Calm down, everything is okay so far. It took us a little longer as we had to make sure that no serious internal damage was taken from the fall. Luckily there is none, but she did receive a concussion and her left arm is broken along with some broken ribs. Also, her left leg got sprained and a lot of scratches are scattered across her body.”, the doctor explains in a calm voice.
Everyone visibly calms down a little after knowing that there was no serious damage and that it’s ‘just’ a few broken bones, since everyone honestly expected worse from the way you fell and curled up on the floor.
Alexia can feel tears forming in her eyes, this time from relief of finally knowing about your current state, “So, can I go to her?”, she tries again.
“Only one person at a time.”, is all he offers in response.
The midfielder glances towards her teammates, having a silent conversation with them. It was obvious that Alexia would be the person to visit you first, but she still wanted to make sure everyone was okay with that.
“Go.”, Mapi encourages her captain, giving her a light shove in the direction of the doctor, who was waiting for one of them to follow him to your room.
With a nod towards the rest of the team, she starts to follow the doctor.
“We are here.”, he says, mentioning to the door they both came to a hold in front of, “I have to go now but if you need something, press the button in there and a nurse will come. Bye.”.
“Thank you and bye.”, Alexia thanks the doctor, standing now alone in front of the door. She doesn’t know why she is suddenly so hesitant on opening that door. All she wished for the past 2 hours was nothing other than finally being by your side again, but now she is scared. Scared of the injured sight of you that she will have to face as soon as she steps inside.
Taking a deep breath, she opens the door and makes her way into the dim lit room, closing the door behind her. Turning around again, she sees you lying in bed, looking at her through half closed eyes, “Hey.”.
“Hey.”, she chokes out, walking over to you and taking a seat on the chair on the right side from the hospital bed. She softly reaches her arm out to put a strand of hair behind your ear, that fell in front of your eyes, “You really scared me.”.
“I’m sorry.”, you whisper to her, not having enough power to talk louder than that. Alexia now runs her finger through your hair, “I really thought I might lose you at that moment, the way you were curled up on the floor I-”, she explains, voice breaking at the end of thinking about you lying on the floor earlier.
She doesn’t even notice that she started to cry until you wipe her tears away with your uninjured arm, “I’m really sorry, I scared you like that. Falling off the tree wasn’t really my plan to be fair.”, you say, hoping to lighten the mood a bit.
A teary chuckle leaves Alexia’s lips, “Would have been concerning if it was. Also, you are never allowed to climb a tree ever again.”.
“Sounds good to me.”, you mumble, trying to fight off the sleep that keeps on trying to creep up on you.
“You should get some sleep.”, the midfielder whispers, using her unoccupied hand to pull the blanket a bit higher on your body.
“Maybe.”.
Humming at your answer, she presses a small kiss on your forehead, “Sleep.”.
The silence that falls over the room after, makes Alexia believe that you did fall asleep until you whisper once more, “Thank you for being here.”.
“Of course, I will always be there for you.”.
And she meant it, Alexia was by your side through the entire recovery process, supporting and helping you in every way she could until you two were finally back on the field together.

"I just don't understand!" - Karen Carney (part one)
Tumblr media
Kaz and y/n have to deal with y/n's sister getting pregnant while their IVF continues to fail.
Again. It was a negative again.
A tear slid down y/n's cheek as she stood in the bathroom, the pregnancy test facing the ceiling now, not pregnant, again.
Karen was due home any moment now, and y/n didn't want her to find out it has failed by finding her sat on the toilet crying, so she cleared everything away and went to the kitchen to start a cup of tea.
When Karen got home, she called out for her wife. "Y/n, my love, I'm home!"
"in the kitchen, I'm making a cuppa." Y/n stated, all sadness washing away for a split second when her wives arms circled around her waist and pulled her in against her chest.
"I missed you today. Everything is boring without you." She mumbled, placing soft kisses on y/n's neck from behind.
When the kettle finished boiling, Karen stepped away to finish making the tea for her wife, leaving y/n watching her with careful eyes.
"Babe.." y/n started slowly. "I did a test today.." If it wasn't for the sadness lacing her wives words, Kaz may have held a little bit of hope. Instead she finished the tea's in silence before turning around to face the other.
"That's okay." She muttered, pulling y/n into a tight hug and allowing her to let out a soft cry. "There's always next time, and the time after that. We won't stop trying okay. I want a baby with you. I don't care how long it takes."
But life really likes to kick you in the teeth.
The couple were out to dinner with y/n's mother, father, younger sister and her fiancé, when the her sister suddenly stood up. She cleared her throat and brought the attention to herself. "There was a reason we asked to have dinner tonight.." She started looking at her fiancé. "And that's because we're pregnant. We weren't really trying, it just happened and we're really excited." The two had no idea of the troubles that y/n and Kaz were facing, maybe if they did they'd have been more gentle with it.
Her eyes met her older sister's, craving her validation as she always had growing up, and y/n couldn't let her down. She let a fake smile grow on her face and tried to act as happy as she could. "I'm so happy for you, I'm expecting to be godmother, I don't care if I'm already the aunt."
"Of course." Her sister grinned happily.
For the rest of dinner, Karen kept her hand planted firmly on her wife's thigh, as y/n kept the fake smile plastered to her face.
It wasn't until they actually made it home that the smile dropped. Y/n's bottom lip began to wobble as her eyes glassed over.
"Come on, let's get you inside, my love." Karen spoke, wrapping her arm around y/n's waist and bringing her upstairs to their bedroom.
The tears let go then.
She broke down into sobs, backing against the wall and slowly sliding down it.
Kaz walked over to her and pulled off her high heels, before getting her out of the red dress she'd been wearing. She helped her get changed into a pair of shorts and one of her own Chelsea jersey's from the year prior, the year of her retirement.
Once she was sure you'd be more comfortable, she pulled you up into her arms, whispering sweet nothings into her ear until the cries became silent whimpers.
"I just don't understand!" Y/n whispered into the air, cutting through the silence that overtook them. "I do everything I'm supposed to, Kaz, why isn't it enough."
Karen sighed softly, letting y/n pull at the hem of the jumper she'd been wearing on top of her button up as she thought of what to say next.
"I don't know, sweetheart, I wish I had all of the answers and I wish that you didn't have to feel what you feel anymore, but I don't. All I can say is that you are the most perfect person ever, and one day, you will have our baby growing inside of you, and you'll somehow be more perfect than ever."
"I love you, Karen Carney-y/l/n."
"I love you too y/n Carney-y/l/n."
Karen fell asleep that night in suit trousers and a button up, it was arguably the worst sleep she'd had in ages, the clothes not comfortable in the slightest.
But with her wife pulled up into her arms, laying on her chest, she didn't care how uncomfortable she was. She had you, and that was all that mattered.

So this is a little something I had in my drafts for a while. Anyone interested in reading something like this? Can Ale change our reader mind about relationships. What do you think?
The player
A player.
That's what people use to describe you and while they're not entirely right, they're not entirely wrong either. So there's this rumour that the fans got out and that you maybe like to sometimes fuel. It is said that you take home every captain you win against. That's the stretch, you do maybe end up in bed with a few of them, but that's only fun and games, they know it's only a one night stand and they're OK with that. So what's the big deal? That's just how you are, you don't do relationships, you don't believe in marriage or want children. You just don't understand the need to marry someone to be with them, it's just a piece of paper from the town hall, it makes a big mess if things don't go well and you divorce. With splitting money and everything, you don't need all that, if you ever find someone you like you'll just be with them, if things turn wrong everyone just goes their ways and that's that, no big deal, or anything. But right now you have just started to shine, this is the big moment of your career, everyone eyes are on you, you just transferred at Lyon for big money and you're going to show you worth as much or more and you have to focus on that, you don't have time to commitments and relationships. So an occasional hook up comes in handy. And with being training or travelling all the time and not liking to go at clubs what could you do? Start answering DMs, you'll find only crazy people there. So you play against 11 women, each game, one is bound to catch your attention and for some reasons most of them are capitans. And of course you like to stir the pot and a picture with both yours and the rival player shirt trown on the floor finds its way into your Instagram stories, driving fans crazy. The beginning of May 2022, Barcelona.Jenni Hermoso hands her phone to Alexia Putellas. "What is it this time, Jenni?". Alexia looks at the picture, it's a screenshot of an Instagram story, from Y/N Y/L/N. Alexia rolls her eyes, she knows all about your behaviour, your antics. She's complaining disgusted. She looks at the picture, yet another one with two shirts this time with them, there are two medals one gold and one silver. Alexia thinks "so Lyon just won Lique 1, again. That's how you celebrate?". Alexia hands the phone back to Jenni. So what, Jen? She's posting these kind of pictures almost everyday. " Jenni laughs like is obvious " We'll face Lyon in the final. What if she comes to you you're our captain.

Home for the Holidays (Alexia Putellas x Reader ficlet)
18. "cancelling all other plans so they can spend the entire holidays together."
Hope you don't hate me for being a few weeks late. This one's not the best but covid really took me out. Merry Christmas, dear friends. I hope 2024 is full of magic for you all.
Tumblr media
"Are you excited to go visit your family for Christmas?" Lola asked you at the end of the last training before Christmas. This was your third year in Madrid and every Christmas, you left Spain to visit your family in Denmark. You usually looked forward to the time with them since you didn't get to go home often.
"Yeah!" you lied. "We're going to make cookies like we do every year and I've been on a crafting kick, so I made a bunch of pinterest-y crafts to give them." You hadn't told anyone but you were dreading going home this year. Not because you didn't love your family but because you didn't want to leave Alexia alone. Her mom and sister had gone on a vacation for a week to Japan and due to a volcanic eruption, they had gotten stuck there. So far, there was no news on whether they'd make it back this weekend for Christmas.
Not that anyone knew you and Alexia were dating. That you wanted to throw your traditions to the wind and start building new ones with Alexia.
"When do you leave?"
"In the morning. I have the first flight out at 6am."
"That's too early," Lola said, fake shuddering. "Merry Christmas, Y/N," she said, picking up her bags. "I hope you have a great time."
"Thanks, Lol. Merry Christmas." You smiled warmly at her as she walked away. You finished packing your bag and walked out to the parking lot. On the drive back to your apartment, you  tried calling Alexia. They had finished training  for two weeks yesterday and had a team Christmas party tonight. It surprised you to get her voicemail. Hanging up, you sighed, hoping she was alright. She loved Christmas normally and you knew it was incredibly hard for her to be without her family.
Once you were home, you turned on all the Christmas lights you'd put up. Bright colors and twinkly white lights illuminated your home, bringing a huge smile to your face. The Christmas tree in the corner was filled with the ugliest ornaments you could find. Garlands and tinsel were hung over every window. The older you got, the more time you spent away from home, the more you reveled in tacky Christmas décor.
An hour later, you were curled on the couch with a large bowl of soup, a cheesy Christmas movie on the television, and your puppy sprawled out next to you on the couch. As the couple on the screen slowly fell in love, your mind drifted to the woman you loved. And you started to plan. There was no way you could leave her alone at Christmastime. The thought of her alone dampened all your Christmas spirit.
The next morning, you packed up your bags and the puppy and made your way to the train station. When you should have been touching down in Copenhagen, you were stepping off the train in Barcelona. Although Zazu had only been to Barcelona once, he led you right to her apartment, tugging you along behind, anxious to see Alexia. You had a key to her apartment but this surprise felt worth knocking and waiting for her to open the door, so you kept it tucked away in the side pocket of your backpack.
She answered, a hoodie pulled down over her forehead, hair that had escaped her bun poking out around her face. The initial frown she had at being awoken broke into a smile and then tears.
"Oh, honey." You stepped into her and wrapped your arms tight around her. She burrowed her head into your shoulder, making her hood fall off. Zazu jumped onto both of your legs, barking in excitement.
"I needed you. And here you are," she whispered.
You brushed her hair back and kissed her forehead. "Come on. I'll make you some breakfast."
She hugged you from behind while you made food for both of you. Her arms tightened when you started pulling plates out of the cabinet. All you could do was giggle. Hungover Alexia was always so cuddly. Sad Ale was clingy. This Alexia was a combination of both of them.
“Are you going to let me go so we can sit at the table or do you want to sit on the couch?”
“Couch,” she mumbled.
"Carry this for me," you said, handing her one of the plates. You picked up the empty plate and took her free hand in yours for the short walk to the couch. Zazu had made himself comfortable on one end. His tail wagged excitedly when you walked closer to him. Skirting the coffee table, you put your plate down and then took Alexia's to set down. Sitting, you pulled her down next to you, letting your thigh rest against hers. Picking up her plate, you handed it to her. "Here you go, babe," you said gently.
You ate in silence, enjoying each other's presence after all these weeks apart. After breakfast, you both took a lazy shower. You washed her hair for her and let your hands wander. She told you she was beginning to feel half human by the time you got dressed. She asked to go for a walk with Zazu and you gladly agreed. After sitting on the train all morning, you needed some fresh air and exercise.
As you walked down the street towards Alexia's favorite coffee shop, you looped your arm through hers. Barcelona at Christmastime was a magic and you felt like you were walking in a dream. Zazu tugged excitedly at the leash even though he didn’t know where you were going. Multiple times, Alexia had to tug the leash to bring him back to the correct direction.
You took your coffees to the park, so Zazu could run freely for a bit. You cuddled up next to Alexia on the bench. The wind had picked up and you hadn't worn enough layers. She took her hat off and pulled it down over your ears.
"Thank you." You'd also made the mistake of getting an iced coffee. But when he said their special was an iced cardamom lavender latte, you couldn't resist it. It was also so good that you couldn't stop drinking it, despite how cold you were.
"So, what time do you leave for home?" she asked suddenly.
"I have a flight this evening." You traced small patterns on her arm.
"Today?" she asked sadly. "That's so soon."
"I know. I know. My mom was very annoyed that I pushed it even that long."
"Well, I'm really glad you were able to make this pitstop." She kissed your cheek, letting her lips linger a second longer than she should have in public. "I hated the idea of being alone."
"I hated the idea of you being alone too. Which is why I booked two tickets from here to Copenhagen. If I have to go home, you're coming with me."
"What?" she asked, sitting back in shock.
"Come with me," you said, taking her hand in yours. "I want to show you my life in Copenhagen. I want to wake up with you on Christmas morning."
"You're adorable." Throwing her arms around, she pulled you close. "Merry Christmas, Y/N."
"Merry Christmas, Ale." Before putting your arms around her, you let your fingers dance over the little velvet box in your pocket. Christmas in Copenhagen wasn't the only surprise waiting for Alexia this year.

The sun shon bright in the Barcelona sky as you stood pitch side ready to report on the infamous El Classico. It was a match that you loved to play in but you picked up a serious ankle injury a couple of months ago and you weren’t quite fit to play or even to train yet.
5-0 was the end result yet throughout the halftime and post match media you tried your best to remain fair even though everybody knew you bled Blaugrana.
Like always the team did a lap of the pitch. You knew they were getting close as the fans behind the camera erupted, all of them wanting a shirt signed or a photo with their favourite player. So whilst you did expect to see one or maybe two of your team mates what you didn’t expect was to feel a hand of the small of your back and the sight of Alexia standing next to you. Here she was, the woman who hated doing media with every fibre of her being, voluntarily giving an interview.
“Ladies and Gentleman, La Reina herself”
The use of the nickname she loved to hate earned you a playful shove.
One of the official presenters made the most of having both you and Alexia in an interview given that you hadn’t done for in months. Much to you surprise Alexia was in a chatty mood and you spent most of the interview taking in her beauty. It wasn’t a huge secret that you and her were dating but you never got round to doing a hard launch so to say.
You notice some of Alexia’s hair fall in front of her face so as if by instinct you place it gently behind her ear. This earns you a look off Alexia as if saying are you going to do what happens next when you do this at home. It’s safe to say the thought did cross your mind but you knew now wasn’t the time or place. It didn’t stop you from glancing down at her lips as she spoke about how proud she is of the team. Her passion is one of the things you loved most about her and you know the look in your eyes will show this but you didn’t mind.
Alexia’s hand squeezes your hip, an act which she knows will earn a reaction given you’re ticklish.
“Que?”
“La pregunta?”
You turn your attention to the presenter and it’s clear she asked you question.
“Lo siento” your cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
“Don’t apologise. Alexia gave us everything we need about the game and I’m sure you gave us enough material to make the fans happy”
You both thank the presenter and Alexia waits whilst you give back your mic pack. The two of you are some of the last players on the pitch and walk into the tunnel together. Even though you weren’t playing you did plan on joining in on the locker room celebration but just before you reach the door Alexia grabs your wrist and pulls you back to her.
“What?”
“I thought maybe you wanted to look at my lips some more seen as though you refused to look at anything else out there”
“Why you got to call me out like that?”
“I’m not. I’m simply giving you a chance to do something other than stare”
Alexia’s lips was on yours before you had to chance to reply. She has you pinned against the wall with no care in the world who could see you. Alexia rested one hand against the wall beside your head and her other grabbed your hip. Yours travelled up her back beneath her loosely fitted leather jacket.
For a brief moment you forget where you were and when you felt Alexia’s tongue brush against you lips you allowed her entry.
“Well well well, look what we have here. Our dear captains the celebration are in the locker room but I can see that you are having a very good time out here in the hallway” Mapi says rather smugly.
“Leave them alone Maria” Ingrid pushes her towards the locker room “Not that I want to interrupt but the rest of the team is on there way so you might want to go somewhere else if you want to continue”
All three of you begin laughing at the situation and whilst you wanted nothing more than to pick you where you were before getting interrupted, you knew that it was best to be done at home away from prying eyes and teasing team mates.

leah or alexia with fem!f1 reader? people assume r is straight until she HARD launches at the paddock kissing her gf. reader is also more of an intimidating, scarier driver who people see immediately melt w her gf!! could be at silverstone or barca?
just that person. | Leah Williamson
(I have not named what team and co the reader is with.. so, you can make it up- I felt that adding them to Red Bull would be controversial to you Mercedes fans or others who hate red bull- also, how can you hate red bull?)
Tumblr media
"What's with that face, baby?"
Your eyes flickered towards your slumped girlfriend as you pulled yourself into your race suit, letting it hang at the waist as you focused on getting ready for qualifying. She huffed as she dropped her phone in her lap, laying her head back against the snug sofa that the team had put in your driver's room.
"They're talking about you, and you know who again.." She pouted at you when you couldn't help but smile at your jealous girlfriend, pulling your hair over one shoulder as you made your way towards her.
"You know nothing is going on.. I'm all yours, and best of all, you're all mine." You spoke as your fingers came to lift her head to face you in your standing position, bending down to place a soft kiss on her lips.
"They don't know that."
"I know, and I'm sorry I'm keeping you a secret, but you have to understand that anything could change everything in this sport. Especially for me." Your words didn't deem much of a reaction out of the blonde. Sighing, you placed yourself next to her while patting your lap to urge her to come closer to you.
She shuffled over until her bare thigh met your clothed one and laid her head on your chest, your fingers finding home in her hair as they coaxed through her curled strands.
"I love you." You whispered, your tone casually slipping into your loving one- the only one you use for the blonde and the only person you use it for. Years of trying to make it into the racing business changed your exterior into a hard, not-to-fuck with one, and Leah is the only one that encouraged you out of it. "I'm gonna secure P1 for you, my girl."
She raised her head to face you, biting her lip as she took you all in. The fireproofs you had on protected and shaped your every curve, and she couldn't help but place her hand down on your chest once she sat up, moving closer to your lips as she adjusted herself to straddle you. Her lips teased yours as you tried to connect them, smiling to herself as your hand gripped the back of her head and forced her towards you.
Both your hands roamed each other's bodies, trying desperately hard not to rip her outfit apart as she fiddled with the zip of your fireproofs. "I don't have long.."
She moaned as you flipped to lay on top of her, "You can make it quick."
Your movements sped up when she whispered in your ear, halfway pulling her trousers down when you heard a certain someone bang at your door. "Y/N! I know what you are doing, and now is not the time. Get ready!"
Lowering your head in embarrassment, you went completely still before flopping on top of the blonde underneath you. Herself giggling slightly as you tucked your face into her neck, "I think you need to go, my love.."
You sighed and pushed yourself up, not standing before helping Leah get suitable. Only doing so when you hear your trainer knock on the door once again, "Y/N!"
"Kay!" You shot back before moving back to Leah, who stopped you in your tracks. "I'm okay; go and get pole for me."
You ignored her as you stepped closer, pressing a quick kiss to her lips before rushing out the door and leaving her in the hospitality, assuming she knew where she was going once she was decent.
Racing at Silverstone was your all-time favourite thing to do- the one chance you got to show your skills in front of a home crowd, and the one time a year you got to prove to them that you were a racing driver. A Formula 1 racing driver.
It took you gallons of blood, sweat, and tears to be able to get a position in the job you love, so every race was taken as seriously as you could make it. The British GP not any different from the rest.
This time, however, it wasn't just the crowd you wanted to be proud of but also the blonde footballer that was most likely making her way to the garage as you slipped on your helmet- never having felt so much pressure to make that happen.
A pair of hands slapped your shoulders, knocking you out of your trance from where you stared at the telecoms in front of you. "Alright, Miss GB? Nervous?"
You scoffed jokingly, "Why would I be nervous? Come on now."
Turning, you came face-to-face with your team principal, raising an eyebrow at him as he adorned a cocky grin on his face- always so proud of his two star drivers. If there was one person you could trust with your life, it would be him, which is why you chose to sign a contract with this special team.
"That's my girl. Go easy on your teammate this time, okay? It doesn't matter which one of you gets the pole, no matter how much I know you will be securing it." He whispered the last bit before tapping the top of your helmet and leading you towards the car, your focus drifting from his muttering when you noticed Leah at the back of the garage.
She gave you a nervous thumbs up, which you returned with a curt nod before stepping into the car and getting with it once again.
As predicted, you took pole like a piece of piss- 2 tenths of a second clear of your teammate- and you couldn't have been happier as you jumped out of your car once you had parked it behind the bold number 1. Thankful for your helmet covering the vulnerable look on your face.
Stripping it off when you managed to contain the grin on your face, you placed it down on the little podiums and replaced it with your cap before you felt an arm wrap around your neck, jostling you around.
Your teammate was just as elated as you were as he secured P2. His touch was uncomfortable around you, already knowing the millions of tweets that it was going to cause as you chatted with the two boys. Discretely, you knocked his arm off of your shoulders before taking the bottle of water and gulping it down.
"At this rate, we're going to win every race." He spoke as you were both left alone on the sidelines waiting to be interviewed, glancing at him as you watched it be held. "Hopefully equally.. you just have to let me win tomorrow, as you are currently on 5 wins and I'm on 4. It's only fair."
"You wish." You smiled as you crossed your arms. "You just need to be a tiny bit better than you'll make it; you were too slow around most corners.. pussy."
"Hey, I'm just being cautious; I don't plan to retire any time soon because of medical reasons from a 100G crash."
"That's why I am better." You shrugged, covering your mouth as you elicited a giggle at his offended face, forgetting about the cameras around you.
"Just you wait.."
You 'oooed' sarcastically as he was called up to his interview, himself sticking the finger up at you, before busying yourself by unzipping your race suit and tying it at the waist, waiting for your own turn.
With a pole position tyre in hand, you made your way back through the paddock towards your team's hospitality, occasionally stopping for some fans, before finding your girlfriend on her phone sitting outside with your trainer, deeply frowning at whatever she was looking at.
"Hey. I haven't seen you." You spoke, your voice twinged slightly as you were out of breath, placing your new award on the table and sitting down. She glanced up at you as you sat waiting for her attention, "Congrats."
Your eyes squinted at the blonde as she didn't give you the light of day, your head turning towards your trainer as he just shrugged- always without a clue and always not giving a shit before leaving you and Leah alone.
"I got P1 just for you.." You mumbled, hesitantly pushing the memorabilia towards her with an awkward smile. "I think you're my lucky char-"
She sighed obnoxiously loud, leaning her elbows on the table as she stayed studying her phone. If there was one thing you hated more in the world, it was feeling belittled and ignored, and Leah was doing a damn good job at it.
Pulling your chair in further, you lean closer to her. "What the hell is your problem?"
"Nothing."
"Then why are you being a brat and ignoring me?"
She shrugged as she kept eye contact with you before going back to her phone, not being able to touch the screen with her thumb before you snatched it out of her hold. "Hey!"
You didn't need to look twice before glaring back at her. "Seriously? I told you to ignore it."
"Well, I can't ignore it when it's right in front of me, in real life." She gritted, keeping the volume low to not attract the public's attention while seizing her phone back from your hand. "All over every single screen, all over every social media."
"You are so jealous. It's unbelievable. Tell me one good reason why I would have a relationship with my teammate- one good reason why I would cheat on you."
"I don't know! Maybe you're just that person." Your mouth hung open as she spat back, shoving her chair away as she stood up and walked off. You couldn't let her get away with what she said. Well shouted, and with uncertain glances towards the people around you, you followed after her.
"Leah!"
She ignored you as she headed towards the exit, although you easily caught up to her and grabbed her arm, pulling her closer to you before you smashed your lips against hers. She immediately melted against you as she got what she wanted. Before she saw the look on your face as you pulled back, her smile completely dropped as she looked at you like an innocent puppy.
"You do make it hard for me; never say something like that again."

would you write some cute fluff of alexia being cute nervous to ask reader to move in with her, even though she has no need at all to worry?
“Is it just me or is Alexia acting weird today?” you ask Lucy, as the two of you stretch together in the gym before training.
“Dunno,” Lucy shrugs. “I haven’t noticed anything. But you know her better than I do.”
Alexia has been acting strangely around you for the last couple of days. You’ve managed to keep your romantic relationship and your professional lives pretty separate since you started dating a few months ago, but your teammates all know that you’re together and you never completely ignore each other at work. But Alexia has been weird the last couple of days, keeping more of a distance, being slightly jumpy around you, like she’s nervous by your presence. When you arrived at training this morning, she pretty much ran in the other direction when you tried to greet her with a kiss outside the dressing room, claiming that she had a meeting with Jonatan before training.
“There’s definitely something up,” you muse aloud, watching Alexia across the gym, where she’s loading plates onto the chest press machine with Mapi.
“Maybe she’s…” Lucy starts, but the cheeky grin slides off her face almost as quickly as it appears, and she adds, “Nah, I can’t say that.”
“Say what?”
“It’s nothing,” Lucy tries to dismiss it, folding her body almost in half against the yoga mat as she stretches.
“Lucy,” you warn her.
“Fine,” Lucy rolls her eyes as she sits upright again. “I was gonna make a joke that maybe she’s gonna break up with you, but then I realised that if she does break up with you it’s not a very funny joke.”
“She’s going to break up with me?” you ask, your eyes widening in panic. In all your consideration for the cause of Alexia’s weird behaviour over the last couple of days, you hadn’t paused to think that maybe it’s because she wants to end your relationship.
“No, I didn’t mean…” Lucy starts, in an attempt to fix what she’s said.
“But you said if she breaks up with me,” you point out. “Which means that you think there’s a chance she could.”
“Forget I said anything, it was just a silly joke. I don’t think she’s going to break up with you.”
But now that the idea is in your head, you can’t think of anything else. It all starts to make sense now, the distance, the jumpiness, the nerves. She wants to end the relationship, she’s just waiting for the right moment.
“Oh god, she is going to break up with me,” you say aloud, trying to do the maths in your head to work out when the last time one of you spent the night at the other’s apartment was. Four days, at least, maybe even five.
“I was just kidding,” Lucy tries to reason with you. “Alexia adores you.”
“Maybe not anymore. Not if she’s going to dump me.”
You glance over at Alexia again, only to find her eyes on you this time, and she quickly looks away, diving into a deep discussion with Mapi with their hands covering their mouths that can only be about you. Probably about wanting to break up with you.
“For fuck’s sake, she’s your girlfriend,” Lucy says, rolling her eyes. “Just go and talk to her.”
Lucy’s right, until Alexia actually tells you that she’s breaking up with you, she’s still your girlfriend and you have every right to want to talk to her in the gym. So you push yourself up to your feet and cross over, catching the end of Mapi’s sentence as you get close enough.
“… so talk to her and get it over with.”
“Yeah, Alexia,” you say, alerting your girlfriend to your presence behind her. “Get it over with. Break up with me, if that’s what you want.”
Alexia had seemed nervous when you arrived at her side, but when she hears what you have to say, the nerves disappear and her eyes almost bulge out of her skull in surprise.
“Break up with you?”
Mapi, you notice, is suddenly very interested in checking the weights on the nearby barbell, giving you and Alexia at least the pretence of some privacy.
“I don’t want to break up with you,” Alexia almost laughs.
“Wait, you don’t?”
“No!”
“But you …” you stammer, frowning as you try to remember why you thought she was about to end your relationship. “You’ve been weird the last couple of days. Distant. Nervous. Like you were trying to figure out the best time to end it.”
Alexia actually does laugh this time, tipping her head back, and you can’t help but feel like you’re missing the punchline of the joke.
“I haven’t been distant and nervous because I wanted to break up with you,” Alexia explains, taking your hand in hers and running her thumb over the back of your fingers. “It’s because I’ve been trying to work up the courage to ask you to move in with me.”
“Oh.” Your process Alexia’s words and it all starts to make sense. Relief floods through your body as you realise that your relationship isn’t coming to an end, but instead reaching an exciting new milestone. “You want me to live with you?”
“Yeah,” Alexia nods. “I know it’s soon. I know we’ve only been together for a few months, that you’ve been living in Barcelona for less than a year, but my life revolves around you. I want to go home with you. I want to wake up next to you every morning. And if you think we need more time then I’ll happily wait, but you’re it for me and I can’t imagine my life with anybody else.”
“Yes, I’ll move in with you,” you say, putting Alexia out of her misery as it’s her turn for relief to wash over her face.
“Thank god,” she says. “I was so worried you’d think I was moving too fast. But why did you think I was going to break up with you?”
“Well, I didn’t until Lucy said…”
As soon as you mention Lucy’s name, Alexia is looking around the gym for your English teammate.
“Lucia!” Alexia bellows across the gym.
You watch as Lucy scrambles to her feet, muttering something about hearing Jonatan calling her name as she practically sprints out of the gym to avoid facing the wrath of her captain.
“Note to self,” you say aloud, for your own amusement as much as Alexia’s. “Don’t take advice from Lucy.”
“I think that’s a good idea,” Alexia hums in agreement.

we said forever (and said it too soon)

“Do you think, that maybe in another universe, we would’ve grown old together?” The words were whispered quietly into the air between you and the blonde, your heart breaking as you took the sight of her in as the silence grew.
You watched closely as Leah swallowed hard, her eyes meeting yours for only the briefest of seconds before they darted elsewhere, anywhere but at you, and you cursed mentally as you found yourself absolutely smitten with the way the white suit rested so elegantly on her frame.
“…Maybe, yeah…maybe...in another life, perhaps,” the words were followed with a small shrug, a wince accompanying the action as the skipper looked at the ground.
Feeling your eyes starting to sting, you nodded at her words, your own escaping softly as you took a step back slowly, then another, slowly backing away before she could see you break.
“Yeah, maybe in another life…congrats again, I- I wish you two the best, I really do."

Promises • Mapi Leon
Tumblr media
“MARÍA.”
You weren’t one to shout, never. Shouting at your loved one was something you could never vision yourself doing and you felt sick at the idea of being cruel to the women you loved so much.
But you’d had enough.
“Mapi, 6. 6 o’,clock you were suppose to be there. We had a table booked.” You voice cracked a little “One by the window” You sniffled, upset at the small detailing of the date that was put to waste. Mapi loved the window table.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. I didn’t expect training to carry on for as long as it did. Then we had an analysis session on the opposition and we didn’t know how long that would be either and-”
“It’s fine, I’ve heard enough.” You slide your shoes off and walk into your shared bedroom. “Sleep on the couch” You snap, closing the door behind you and sliding down the wall, head in your hands as tears streamed down your face.
Dating a footballer had its perks. You watched so many amazing games, saw the back halls of Camp Nou and you’ve seen different parts of the world by following your girlfriend around.
But that was just it, you were just following your girlfriend around. You had plans dropped at the last minute to get to the other side of the country when she asked you to come to her game, you flew 7 hours to watch her play in the most prestigious competition of them all.
There was no time for you, as a couple. And you craved the feeling of being loved and respected and like nothing else mattered in the world except for Mapi, and you.
“Y/N, let me in.” She hammered the door.
You took a few deep breaths to try to remain calm but you weren’t sure it was going to last long.
Mapi came in and you let her speak but you continued your night time routine, washing you face and braiding your hair as you listened to her apologies and explanations.
“Y/N, I’ll make it up to you. We can schedule something in for Friday?” She suggests.
“Schedule it in?” You scoff. “María I don’t want to have to be scheduled in I want to be your priority for just a minute, just a few hours where I am the only person that matters to you!” Wiping the tears from your cheeks you keep going before she has the chance to stop you.
"I'm so sick of this 'will we, won't we' shit. I don’t know if your coming or going anymore and it’s exhausting!”
“I’m sorry Y/N. I haven’t been a good girlfriend and I’ve realised that. I’ve realised that I need to be more involved, in us, this relationship. Otherwise we won’t work.”
“I just want some time.” You whisper, letting a few tears eventually slip free.
“I promise you more time, you mean everything to me and I promise to show you that.”

38 with chloe kelly
38 “Where’s my goodnight kiss?”
Checking the time on your phone, you notice that it’s already quite late. But one look around your living room lets you know that no one seems to mind it that much, even discussing what movie could be watched next after the current one is finished.
You usually loved movie nights with the team, but today was just not your day. After having a rather rough time at training, all you wanted to do was have a quiet night with your girlfriend, when the team reminded you of the movie night that would be held at your shared apartment tonight.
Letting out a quiet sigh, you wait for the current movie to be finished, when you stand up, “Alright, I’m going to bed, I’m super tired today, sorry.”, you explain to your teammates scattered around the living room.
Some of the girls were protesting you wanting to leave, other ones simply wishing you a goodnight.
“Goodnight.”, you say to the girls with a small wave around the room before making your way out of the living room.
“Wait!”, almost out of the door the familiar voice of your girlfriend puts you to a stop, turning around to face her, you notice the pout on her lips, “Where’s my goodnight kiss?”.
Blushing at the request and the attention the whole team now has on you two, you slowly make your way back over to her, pressing a short but sweet kiss to her lips, before hurrying out of the room when your teammates start wolf whistling.
“Love you!”, is all you heard before disappearing behind the bedroom door, texting her an ‘I love you’ back, you get comfortable under the blanket.

Mapi x reader where reader gets sent home from the World Cup through an injury and mapi looks after her ?
Ficlet no 1! Thank you for sending me this prompt and I hope you like it! I'm not too sure I like the ending so much but it was good to get back to writing.
Your journey in Australia wasn't meant to end when it did, you were meant to reach the final with the rest of your team but an unfortunate slip from an opposing player in the second half of your 3rd group game meant you were on a flight back home. The England camp had offered to get you help and treatment in Australia so you could stay with the squad but you had decided it was best to head back to your club team and start recovery there. That and you didn't want to do this alone and your love was back in Spain.
Mapi greeted you at the airport with open arms and a slightly sorry smile. “Let's get you home mi amor.” You didn't say much to that, just nodded your head where you had rested it in the crook of her neck. Mapi took your backpack from you so you could just focus on crutching your way to the car, your suitcases having been taken by your team so you didn't have to worry about them.
You didn't have to be at the medical facility until tomorrow, the team having seen the x-ray you had done back in Australia and deeming it okay for you to have the day to unwind. You also had the jet lag to get over being as when you pulled up to your shared apartment with Mapi, it was 10am local time but for your body clock it was about 6pm. You prayed that the on and off sleep you got on the plane would be enough for you to be able to stay awake until bedtime here.
Mapi took your bag upstairs and came back down with your fave old t-shirt of hers and a pair of shorts, the spanish summer being in full force meant that you had to adjust to the climate change too. She helped you into the bathroom and into the walk-in shower where she held you as you cried about the missed tournament and washed your hair when you were ready to get out.
Mapi had got the next few days off of training so she could be there for you and help you and although you tried to protest at first you were so very grateful for the woman. You couldn't do this on your own, there was too much pain not just physically but mentally.
Mapi escorted you to every appointment and was the first face you saw when you woke up from surgery, she didn't leave you alone unless you asked her too and she made sure you were as happy and comfortable as you could be. She watched your lionesses in the games that you did and that is something you would never forget. Not after all she had been through surrounding her national team and the tournament.
When the final was confirmed as England vs Spain you didn't know how to feel. You and Mapi had not spoken yet about her thoughts surrounding the teammates you shared that went back on the letter and were there so this was probably the worst final the two of you could have gotten.
You had spoken to Leah on the phone the other night when she landed in Australia about your sadness at picking up the injury and not being there and how she must feel too. It was easy to talk to her and get the advice she had for you and you were so happy she got to go watch them in person. Her love for football was contagious.
On the evening before the final you and Mapi sat down to talk, she had told you she couldn't watch the game but she wanted you too so she was going to go for an extra session in the gym if that was okay with you. Which of course it was you didn't want to put her through the harm of watching a team she should be on.
You watched your team play their hearts out, you had your Mary Earps shirt on in honour of her fight for Nike to print her shirt and you couldn't be prouder. When the final whistle blew and it confirmed the loss you were heart broken for the girl. You were quick to pull up your group chat and send a message off that you hoped would help them and make them see they did your country proud before you closed the TV off. You couldn't watch the Spanish side pick up the trophy, not today. You were just pulling on your shoes when the front door clicked open and Mapi walked through, take-out bag in hand.
“I was just about to head out to come find you. I have a 30 minute walk to do today which would have gotten me to the gym.” You explained as you tugged your half on the shoe back off again.
“As soon as the final whistle blew I made sure I was heading back to you. I'm sorry he won.” You knew what he she was talking about and you knew that Mapi was going to struggle with this for a while. Playing for your country is always such an honour but not when you have to be abused to do it.
“I’m sorry he won too. Let's not talk about it, it doesn't deserve our time. What have you got here?” You grabbed the bag off the fake blonde and headed for the kitchen, your stomach letting you know how hungry you actually were.
It might not have been the result either of you had wanted and the injury you picked up was also another reason to want to put this world cup behind you, but what did shine through is the love you and Mapi had for each other. No matter what was thrown your way you would deal with it together.

“i was so worried." - Alexia
17. "I was so worried."
A scream. A gut-wrenching, toe-curling, nerve-rattling scream.
Your scream rang through Spotify Camp Nou. Everyone went silent, something pretty difficult for sixty-thousand people. It shook Alexia to her core. She had watched helplessly as a Chelsea player laid a bone-crunching tackle.
She watched helplessly as you were taken away on a stretcher by the medics. Applause coming from everyone. As the match continued, Alexia's mind kept wandering to you. Were you okay? What happened? How bad was it?
Immediately after the match finishes, Alexia sprints down the tunnel, making her way to the medical room. She bursts through the door, everyone looking at her. Slightly embarrassed, she gently closes the door and begins to look around the room for you. When she does find you, her heart breaks. You had a big cast around your ankle and your eyes were red and puffy.
She approached the bed you lay on carefully.
"Hola, bebe," she says sweetly. You bring your eyes up to meet hers. Almost instantly, you're full-on sobbing. Alexia, right away, is by your side, kissing your face, whispering reassurances, and wiping away the tears that roll onto your chin. "It's okay, mi amor. It's okay."
"It's not okay, Ale."
"It will be. I promise. Bebe, you have no idea how scared I was when you went down. I was so worried."
This just makes you cry harder. The reality of everything crashing down on you. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to make you worry."
"No need to apologize, mi amor."

Mapi- "Go to sleep, I will not leave you alone."
content warning: R is a war time reporter assigned to Ukraine
It had been five months since you'd been home. Your job as a journalist for one of the largest news outlets in Spain had sent you to Ukraine to cover the war. The assignment wasn't officially over but they were pulling you out over growing safety concerns. Although you were desperately scared, you didn't want to go home yet. There was still so much news to cover and if you went home, then no one from Spain would be left there to report on what was happening.
They had arranged transport for you the day after notifying you. Which had left you very little time to finish documenting everything you needed for the story you were writing. You worked all night, meeting with different officials and witnesses. And by the morning, you felt mildly confident that you had enough information to write your next piece.
You knew it was nowhere near sufficient, though. All the Ukranian people would be left behind with no option to evacuate with you. And that was something that had begun causing you heartache as soon as you'd read the email you were going home.
The plane ride home was one of the longest flights you'd ever been on. Everyone was completely silent, lost in their own heads processing the last five months and trying to figure out what comes next. Processing how they would return to normal life.
Your team rode in a bus to the office. It was the middle of the work day but your boss had told you all to go home and get some rest.
Your heart started beating a little faster when you saw the familiar car in the lot. And the brunette leaning back against it, arms folded. You'd texted Maria this morning to let her know you'd made it on the plane and you'd see her at home after her training was over. Frowning, you looked down at yourself. Your clothes were wrinkled and hadn't been washed in a few days. You hair was an absolute mess. You smelled slightly from the flight.
But when she spotted you through the window of the bus and smiled brightly up at you, none of that mattered. You waited impatiently to get off the bus. Crossing to her quickly, you collapsed against her, your arms tight around her neck.
"Welcome home, my love," she whispered into your neck.
"I missed you," you said before kissing her. Leaning back, you ran a hand through her hair. "I like your hair."
"Let's get you home," she added. She kissed your cheek before bending down for your bag.
At home, you ate a snack, marveling at how amazing it tasted before passing out on the bed. In month two, your hotel had been bombed and since then, you'd been sleeping on a broken cot in a crowded basement with a bunch of other reporters, never sure when your next substantial meal would come.
It was dark outside when you awoke. Maria had laid a sweater at the foot of the bed for you. Smiling at it, you pulled it on, appreciating her thoughtfulness. It was something small but it meant a lot to you.
You found her in the living room, playing with one of the three cats the two of you had adopted last year. "He's gotten so big," you said after watching her from the doorway for a minute.
She looked up at you, smiling. "How was your sleep?" She held her hand out to you.
"Weird to sleep in a bed," you answered, crossing the room to take her hand and sit down on the floor. "It's going to take some getting used to." The black cat crawled up into your lap. "Hola, mi gordito," you whispered, giving him pets.
"They missed you. They'd wait at the front door after I came in, hoping you'd come in behind me."
"That's really sweet," you said. Leaning down, you kissed the top of the cat's head. You snuggled him close for a few minutes before he jumped out of her arms to curl at your feet.
Mapi watched the entire interaction with soft eyes. She'd missed you. Your presence. Your scent. Your loving nature. Even with all the cats, the house had seemed empty. Clearing her throat, she said, "I've got the potatoes boiling. Figured I'd make your favorites for dinner. Probably been a while since you've eaten any of them."
"Thank you, amor."
"I was thinking about getting a run in before we eat. Do you want to come?"
You felt awful but a run would help. You couldn't remember the last time you had been on a run for exercise. Your boss had essentially forbidden leaving for anything non-work related. "I might be a little slow to keep up with you," you admitted shyly.
"You set the pace, babe," she said, reaching over to take your hand. "I'll run with you."
You squeezed her hand and gave her a small smile, grateful to have someone next to you that was as sweet as Maria. And she was true to her word. During the run if her stride starting getting too long, she pulled herself back. She always let you lead.
And in the shower afterwards, she let you lead the slow dance to relearn each other's bodies.
You were quiet through dinner, Mapi knew it. But she filled the space. She let you be as quiet as you needed to be. She gave you everything that you needed that night. She held you on the couch afterwards, running her hands slowly through your hair. The tv was on low in the corner. She whispered sweet words in your ears and made sure you knew how missed you had been. Your emotions got the better of you at one point and tears had filled your eyes. You tried to hide them but she saw and gave you soft kisses in response.
Everything was fine until it was time for bed. Until you laid down in bed and she turned out the light. The dark. The dark was the worst time over there. During the day, you could see. More people were around. At night, it was dark. You were alone. Even in a roomful of people, you were alone.
You were shaking when she got into bed. "Babe." She touched your arm. "What's the matter?"
"I." You grabbed onto her hand. "Can you just hold me?" She laid down, putting her arm around your waist. "Tighter. I need to feel you here."
She pulled you closer to her, keeping a hard grip on you. "Go to sleep, baby. I won't leave you alone." She kissed the top of your head and snuggled into you. "I love you."
"Love you," you muttered into her, slowly relaxing into sleep.

Alessia Russo /
Sleepless Nights
It was late at night. With a sigh you grab your phone off the nightstand, looking at the time.
2:45. Another sigh leaves your lips as you throw your phone on your bed. Deciding lying any longer in bed will not bring you any sleep you stand up. Grabbing your phone again as well as your keycard you leave your room, happy to not have a roommate you could potentially wake.
Once you left your room you don’t know where to go. You thought to go to the team room at first but ultimately thinking that you needed to find a way to get at least a bit of sleep if you wanted to play good in tomorrows friendly against Portugal you went to the one room you knew Alessia was sharing with Ella. You where hesitant to knock on the door, not wanting to wake either of the two.
After standing in front of said door for another five minutes you finale made up your mind and knocked slightly.
When no one opened you thought about knocking again but decided against it. Turning around to go back to your room but before you could start walking the door opened and a tired looking Lessi was standing in front of you. Her hair was tussled and you thought she looked beautiful.
“Y/n? Is everything alright? It’s 3 in the morning, why are you not sleeping?”
You instantly felt bed to have woken your girlfriend so late at night when you had an important game tomorrow and she needed a good sleep.
“I am sorry Lessi. I shouldn’t have disturbed you.”
Thinking you should just go back to your own room and not disturb her anymore you were about to leave but Alessia reached out her hand to grab your arm.
“Hey it’s alright. You know you can always wake me up. You are more important than some sleep. You look tired. Come here.”
Without another word she pulled you into her arms and you instantly relaxed into her.
“I couldn’t sleep.” You mumbled into her neck. “I couldn’t stop worrying about tomorrow.” You admitted at last. It wasn’t your first camp nor your first game for England but you were never in the starting eleven but with so many injuries in the team you would be replacing Leah in the back. No one had put any pressure on you and all were really happy for you especially Leah herself, one of you best friends and Club teammates. She had told you to not think too much about it and to just enjoy it. And until you laid in bed you hadn’t thought about it to much, but with no distraction anymore your brain wouldn’t should up about tomorrow.
“Oh baby. You will do so good tomorrow. You deserve this so much and I am so proud of you! We all are. You have absolutely no reason to worry.”
She pulled you even more into her and rubbed her hand over your back.
“Can I sleep with you, tonight?” You asked with a small voice, scared Alessia would say no.
“Of course you can, mia amata.” She kissed you on your forehead and took you into her room. Ella was still sleeping in her bed like a stone and you couldn’t help the giggle that escaped your lips at the sight.
“I don’t think anything could disturb her.” Your girlfriend laughed and you agreed.
Alessia climbed back into her bed and patted the spot next to her. The bed was small but you didn’t care. You happily joined her in bed and sighed once again when her arms circled around your body and pulled you closer to her so that you almost lay on top of her. She kissed your hairline and startet to rub your back slightly. “I’ve got you bellezza. Try to sleep a bit more” She whispered into your ear.
Your eyes felt heavy almost instantly. “I love you Lessi” you whispered before you fell asleep in Alessia’s arms, feeling safe in her presence.
With a last kiss to your head she fell asleep too.
*mia amata- my love
*bellezza- beauty
I hope you liked this little ficklet. I couldn’t get this idea out of my head so I had to write it down.

Hope you’re doing okay! I love your fics and would like to request an alexia one if you don’t mind. Reader and alexia play for different teams and have been away from each other for a long time. First time they are able to see each other is on the pitch when their teams play against each other. Alexia is very clingy and can’t hold back from trying to have some kind of physical contact with reader. Reader thinks nothing of it until marking alexia during a free kick when she tries to take her hands off but alexia keeps holding them against her.

Getting to the semi-finals of the world cup with your team for the first time was nerve racking but in a good way, it brought a sense of enormous wellbeing to your lifelong dream.
One problem that came with it though was that you were going up against your girlfriend, whom you hadn’t seen in over a month, and it’d become a bittersweet reconnection.
You both already made your promises that what ever happens, happens and you’d both be proud of each other no matter the result. No bad feelings will be made.
Trailing out of the tunnel for a pitch inspection, you notice the faded, pink-haired woman straight away but seeming as it was in the eye of the public you didn’t over do the reuniting.
“Hola guapas.” You teased as you joined into the little barca circle they made, Frido trailing behind you.
Your eyes focused on the others first, cheekily grinning as you hugged them all before your attention was fully on Alexia.
She made the first move, crashing into your arms, her own tightly wrapping themselves around your waist. You swayed yourselves side to side slightly after you had snaked your arms around her neck, chin resting atop of her head.
You could hear the chatter around you from the other girls, giving you both a moment to share, to which you were thankful for.
“I’ve missed you.”
“So have i, so much.”
She leant backwards from the hug so she could look at you, eyes tracing your features as you stared back at her.
As she looked away she pouted, collapsing her head back on your chest.
“What’s wrong?” You giggled.
“I really want to kiss your right now.”
“I promise after the match, you can have me as much as you want.”
“But not for long..” She murmured, holding on to you tighter as if you’ll leave after her saying that.
“One of us will be able to support either of us in the final.. and then after that, you’ll have me to yourself.”
“Promise you’re okay with any outcome?”
“Prometo.”
You began to notice most of your team going in to start getting ready for the warm ups as Alexia clung to you, fingers locked together on the small of your back.
“Ale, i have to go now.” You mentioned as you tried to softly pull away, however someone kept their grip.
Your hands trailed around where her arms wrapped around you, reaching to where her own were and gently tried to peel them off.
“Ale..”
“No.” She quipped, almost like a toddler when their mum goes to leave them at little school.
“Älskling, i have to go. We’ll see each other later.”
Huffing, she reluctantly pulled away and you kissed her on the forehead as you said goodbye before rushing over to Frido.
“You’re whipped.”
“Callarte.”
Alexia found out she was starting the match this time instead of the bench, which meant that she got to be around you doing what she loved as well as playing. Instead of watching.
She lined up beside you in the tunnel and you smiled at her, the look in your eyes made her melt and you reached a hand out for her, which she took without a thought, squeezing it three times before letting go to walk out.
The match was essentially equal during the first half, neither countries getting the tail end of their chances and it got frustrating.
Fouls and corners were called one by one and your were usually fine dealing with them, but this time it was different.
You had a distraction.
As the minutes ticked, it felt like you had your eye on your girl every second either close or really close, she didn’t move out of your bubble.
You would have guessed her marking you wasn’t their strategy as it felt too personal.
A free kick was called for the swedes, from a bit outside the box, and you trailed closer towards the goal.
Tucking the loose strands of hair behind your ears, you rolled the hem of your shorts up and bent over your knees before you felt a pair of hands grab your waist, standing up straight and peeking over your shoulder you found who you thought the hold belonged too.
You lifted your arms up to your hips, covering her hands with yours, squeezing them to try and lift them off but only halfheartedly. The touch made you tingle.
Your breath grew heavier as she brought her chest closer to your back and you hoped the media didn’t catch the affect this moment was giving you, and you hoped she didn’t realise either.
You didn’t back down from the stake at hand though, managing to trick Alexia with your touch and get your head on the ball, however it flew wide.
Hands flying to your head, you huffed at the misfortune before turning around where Alexia was gazing at you, up and down.
You shook your head slightly, informing her to stop her intentions and ran back towards your end ready for the goal kick.
Spain’s attack came out of nowhere at one point and it left you, Zecira and the forward alone. You had managed to force her wide and she got ready for the cross before it deflected off your thigh, conceding a corner kick.
You trailed towards the box, and catching the eye of your girlfriend, you lifted your shirt up to wipe your face, nothing but intention to play her game also.
Halting beside her, you ruffled out your top to straighten it once again before moving your hand to the side behind Alexia, ready to defend against her.
When the ball crossed in, your touch brushed her ass and she froze, missing the chance completely. The ball seemingly finding its way back to the keeper for a goal kick.
“You play those games, don’t think that i’m not going to join in.” You winked at the now flustered spaniard before running back to your position to continue the match and this new game.
