oh wow a (insert fandom here) subreddit how cool we get to share art and and ideas and talk about the games and characters.

*browses and sees it mainly consists of people bitch about fanart and ships and how it´s incorrect. Constant gatekeeping of media and posting mean comments when people post their ship art of characters kissing or snuggling or whatever.* like gurl, the media you want to gatekeep and keep ´realistic to canon´ includes spaceship flying foxes, wolves and rabbits. Some also include humanoid feminine goats with makeup and cartoon skeletons drinking ketchup. Others include a cartoon pshycotic bunny with sharp teeth and his detective beer bellied dog man partner. Why would it be so far fetched to imagine them also snuggling and kissing one another? Like shooting and murdering one another is totally A-ok, but snuggling and kissing? Disgusting. Oh and don´t think I don´t notice how some people specificly target the gay ships "unrealistic" and gets downvoted while the straight ships are getting upvoted and praised as "realistic". Or just certain ships that others have considered "better". Yall need to calm the fuck down. Make love, not war 😍😍😍 Anyhow, I just wanted to type this to say that at least I and many others appriciate AUs and alternative takes on characters while taking inspiration of the source material.
