So I have a plan for my Skaven army. However, I’m not the most adept painter, and thus I want to do some testing of my color scheme first! Thus, I 3D-printed some giant rats. Or rather, the same giant rat 6 times. Half I’ve primed white, half black. Gonna test them with the same colors and techniques two at a time to see what I like.

Painting tiny fire!! I’ve two fires in the campfire set of terrain bits from @wizkidsgames. This is actually the bigger one believe it or not. This particular unit goes underneath a pig on a spit. The smaller fire goes under a pot of stew. There’s also this nice sitting log in the set. I took this painting-in-progress to a group critique today. It was very helpful. When I got home a did a test of some of the suggestions I liked, by just trying them digitally. I think I’ll need to set up a photoshoot to get the lighting right, but I think it may be cool, as I’m a big fan of dramatic/theatrical/ baroque lighting.
