Evento no Paraná reforça importância dos cereais de inverno

Investimento em tecnologia e inovação são as chaves para o desenvolvimento da agricultura. O tema foi um dos destaques da 19.ª edição do Wintershow, o maior evento técnico de cereais de inverno do Brasil, que terminou nesta quinta-feira (20), em Guarapuava, no Centro-Sul. Organizado pela cooperativa Agrária, o evento investiu na apresentação de novidades e soluções na produção da cevada e do trigo, matérias-primas essenciais para as indústrias da cooperativa. Segundo o secretário da Agricultura do Paraná, Norberto Ortigara, não há setor com potencial competitivo tão alto quanto o agro paranaense, e que o governo tem o compromisso de impulsionar as novidades tecnológicas, investindo em mais infraestrutura e conectividade. “Vivemos um momento único de inovação, de reunião de propósitos para fazer a diferença. Já temos qualidade e sanidade reconhecidas”, afirmou. Cereais de inverno Historicamente, o Paraná lidera a produção de cereais de inverno no Brasil. Aproximadamente 60% da produção nacional de cevada e 50% da produção nacional de trigo se concentram no estado. Atualmente, a área da cevada no estado é de 84 mil hectares. A colheita começou há poucos dias atingindo 6% da área e a produção estimada é de 388 mil toneladas, 31% acima comparado ao ciclo anterior quando atingiu 296 mil toneladas, o cultivo do cereal está ganhando impulso para aumentar a produção no estado. Novos empreendimentos, como a Maltaria Campos Gerais, com sede em Ponta Grossa, que tem inauguração prevista para 2023, além dos investimentos das cooperativas, tendem a ampliar a área de plantio destinada a esses produtos no Paraná. Amaltaria é fruto da intercooperação entre Agrária, Bom Jesus, Capal, Castrolanda, Coopagrícola e Frísia. O WinterShow 2022 é promovido pela Agrária e pela Fundação Agrária de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Fapa) em parceria com o Sebrae. Além das grandes empresas do ramo, em 2022 o WinterShow abriu espaço para participação de 30 startups.
