WINKTOBER DAY 2: a/b/o (Joel Miller)
*breathes into a paper bag* Hoh boy. Here we go. *places a new character gently in your hands and backs away* It’s only six sentences, it’s only six sentences....
You’re aware of someone jostling you, rousing you, and pulling you back into the conscious world, the glare of generator lights under a corrugated steel roof above assaulting your eyes and Joel’s harsh growl rumbling in your ears as he looms over you with a broken nose, shaking your face in his big hand, “Come on now, blood type–hey--your blood type, what is it?!”
You can barely bring yourself to speak through the haze and around the dull pain in your gut, “Bluh...blood?”
“Focus...you focus now...come on,” his grip on your jaw grows firmer, but still controlled, desperately willing an answer from you with whatever he’s got.
Coming through the fog, the ache in your abdomen starting to intensify, letters swim through your mind-A, B, O, positive, negative–until they land on the right combination that softens his grip to something akin to gentleness before he starts rolling up his sleeve and demanding the attention of the medic.
“Sir, are you sure…that’s…a lot of blood…” the younger man looks between the two of you, shaken, uncertain.
“Hook me up,” Joel grumbles, never taking his eyes off you, “I’ve lost enough to know the difference between what I can give up...and what I can’t.”

Animal, Kinn/Porsche

What Kinn clocks immediately about Porsche is that he's unashamed. There's no pretence about him, from the fact that he's disdainful of people using power for selfish reasons, to how much he enjoys sex, and especially to how he isn't afraid (or at all unable or unwilling) to stand up for himself. What Kinn takes longer to process is why that's hot.
It's definitely not his typical. He usually goes for a bedmate that he privately refers to as "desperate slut but polite." He likes when delicate, manicured men beg him for his cock, swallow him down wetly and take his manhandling with trembling eagerness. After Tawan, he especially doesn't like it when there's even a hint of an individual person on the other end. Easier to get off if he's not talking, or even thinking too much.
Porsche makes him confused. Porsche makes him frustrated. Porsche challenges him on every fucking thing regardless of whether or not it makes sense. Porsche is a submissive.
In this world, submissiveness is something you have to earn your way out of, something to escape. Earning dominance in society is how to get ahead and how to stay safe. But Porsche wears his submission like it's something you'd have to earn from him instead, something you'd be grateful and lucky to be granted. It's the most Kinn has been intrigued by anyone in years. It’s infuriating. It's sexy as fuck.
Porsche had wiped his mouth as he turned to haggle for his fists, zipping up his fly unhurriedly. Porsche had grinned while he punched the lights out of the guy with the pipe. Porsche had held eye contact, unflinchingly, mockingly, had held Kinn still to take his rightful payment directly from Kinn's person.
When Kinn was finally collected by his bodyguards, he had gotten into his car, closed the privacy screen, and held his breath for silence as he furiously jerked into his fist. With the adrenaline it had taken two minutes, tops, and he had felt heavy and alert and throbbing in the aftermath. He had never wanted to fuck someone's smirking face so badly. He had noticed eventually that he was idly clenching his dripping hand, staring down fixedly at it past his naked wrist.
He had wiped his hand with a handkerchief, and called his father to talk personnel. How interesting that he suddenly needed more security.

I have decided to do a combination of kinktober, inktober, and whumptober where the goal is basically just make something once a day. Welcome to #winktober and please, I'm sure there are too many verb tenses in here but I lived 45 minutes of intense word choice decision making for every 3 minutes it took to write a paragraph and I am very high so just read through it for now.
This was inspired by the hottest video on youtube: Animal by @ amateuredit17. I have watched this an unhealthy amount of times and strongly encourage others to do the same. Speaking of excellent, I am unreasonably pleased about my most excellent stylistic zeugma in the fifth and paragraphs.

The comparison of Ezra’s confidence levels before and after his time on The Green is heartbreaking. Even though it turns out he always had some doubts about himself (reading about the way he would hold Reader made me tear up and I made an audible sound), seeing the way they multiply and darken his thoughts after he gets back would hurt so much. But the way that Reader handles this situation is perfect, and it makes me so happy to know that he’s got someone who knows exactly how to pick him up when he’s low. Hopefully it eventually happens less and he can start to believe in his worth more, but for now I’m just glad these two have each other. This was lovely.

Everything from the description of Reader’s outfit to the way Din reacted to seeing her dressed like that - and then everything else that happened - was all so vivid and clear and made this such an immersive read. Did my face get hot when I read this? You bet it did, and I had to take a deep breath when I was done, too. Ask for Din’s help, she thought. Little did she know which one of them would be helping which. I enjoyed the heck out of this, and if you love reading about the Tin Can Man being a little juuuuuust bit vulnerable (and very turned on), then you’ll love this one.

WINKTOBER DAY 19: Boot Worship (Jack Daniels)
I mean. Jack was the obvious choice, right? RIGHT? Lookit that winky bastard.
It’s certainly not like any other store in the City, but even if it’s only filled with cowboy boots, you can tell that the one thing it has in common with the stores in this area is that you cannot remotely afford anything in here.
“Jack,” you try to stop from entering, but he’s there behind you, scooping you forward into the shop, “this is unnecessary–”
“Nonsense, sugar, it’s my treat, you’ll see,” he says, giving you a quick peck before swaggering toward an attendant to request a style in your size.
“Now what we have here,” he says as he ushers you to a plush wingback chair, kneeling before you to gently slip the shoe off your foot and cradling your heel in his wide palm like some reverse Cinderella’s prince, “are the best boots under God’s blue sky--royal calf leather, leather sole, hand tooled and handmade in Texas since 1883.”
When the well-dressed attendant comes back with the box, he allows Jack to fit you himself, hands warming the soft but sturdy leather and gently guiding your feet into their new casing before directing you over to the full-length mirror where you can’t help but admit that the boots are stunning…and surprisingly comfortable.
“Well slap my ass and watch him take off with the cart,” he whispers warm into your ear as he stands behind you, eyes sparkling in the reflection, “you wear those ridin’ boots so well darlin’, I’m about ready to get myself fitted for a saddle.”

Animal, pt 2 (Kinn/Porsche)
continuing this thing
Porsche was not overly grateful for the offer to join Kinn's security. This was an unpleasant surprise. Apparently when structuring the offer Kinn had not accounted for the fact that Porsche was an idiot.
He seemed unaware of the whole structure of their society, and uninterested in learning about the ways to advance himself from his position. Most submissives would kill for a chance to take a job for the Theerapanyakul Group, the family that exerted dominion over a large swath of Bangkok and beyond. They'd kill and be thankful for the opportunity to be considered part of the Dominant world.
Gaining a Dominant skill set and training while working for a Dominant family in a Dominant industry is a whole bunch of respectability leapfrogs from where Porsche is now, stuck serving drinks to tourists and giving it up for money in alleyways.
Beyond the sheer advantage of the job offer itself, Kinn thought that the clear respect for Porsche implied by it would be convincingly appealing to overcome any mixed feelings from their first meeting. Possibly win him over entirely. Kinn had spent too much time thinking about Porsche grovelling, Porsche grateful and supplicant, Porsche giving in. Kinn had, he just realized, not thought much beyond that, and had come to regret living in fantasyland rather quickly when the situation went sideways.
Kinn badly wanted to see Porsche in a position of power that was still subservient to his own. He thought about baring Porsche's neck in front of the other bodyguards, but settled for tying him to a chair instead. He wanted Porsche's neck to himself, private, and simultaneously wanted to only ever sit in meetings with Porsche in his lap, gaze defiant, the long golden stretch his alone to maul and suck.
With that in mind, Kinn approached the next stage of this prolonged negotiation with renewed focus renewed, goal clear. He'd resolved to be calm and rational and reasonable this time. He even gave his most placating smile.
Another thing that became apparent, other than Porsche being an idiot, was that Kinn was possibly focusing overmuch on the specifics rather than the purpose of his goals. Damn his preoccupation with visualizing success.
Porsche had in fact stuck his neck out in the end, but it had just been to spit in his face.

OKAY. First of all, let me just say that I LOVE what you’re doing with this whole Winktober concept! It’s very clever of you, and it’s been fun seeing how you bend the prompts juuuuuuust enough. Secondly - you are now two for two when it comes to writing tropes that I typically don’t seek out/avoid altogether (the first was “only one bed” with Pats, and now I can officially add A/B/O to that list!) And even though this is only a few sentences, you managed to pack SUCH an emotional punch. I usually add a little sneak peek on these lists, but I’m not going to do that with this one because I don’t want to give anything away. But if I did, it would be that last line. Because damn. That’s going to rattle around my noggin for a while.

Before I start I just think it would be prudent to warn anyone with a strawberry allergy to consume this one at their own risk. You know what? Anyone who has every eaten a strawberry or looked at one or conceptually knows what a strawberry is? You’ve also been warned, because... *insert dizzy face emoji here* Okay, that’s done. NOW! Oberyn Martell is basically all of the kinktober prompts on a pair of legs, but the two that you chose to use for this one? They were PERFECT for so many reasons. Oberyn is all about finding pleasure and experiencing all that there is to feel and see and do in life. He is decadence and excess, but he’s also primal and hungry. He’s used to being the one in charge. He’s used to steering things. But the way that they trade power here and get to see different sides of each other and of themselves is amazing.Every second of this is such a thrill for both of them. And I have a feeling that this is only step one on this new adventure they’re taking. Also? The way this ends? My soul left my body during the smut. But it hopped back into my empty shell just to smile and scream about the upcoming meeting! ;) I flipping LOVED this, Rachael!
