Yesterday’s Reflections
LOCATION: Diagon Alley, Wila Travers’s Flat DATE: June 25th, 1984 @wila-travers
Elliot dithered on the street for several minutes, going so far as to walk all the way up the block and back at one point on the flimsy excuse of purchasing and eating a packet of sugar-roasted chestnuts. He only made it a quarter of the way through the nuts before he chucked the whole thing in the nearest bin. He told himself he was being silly, there was no reason to be nervous like this. The worst thing that could happen would be that Travers wouldn’t know what he was talking about and he’d look like an idiot.
It wasn’t like she could report him to the Ministry just for asking questions if he’d jumped to the wrong conclusion—and even if she did, they couldn’t arrest him for curiosity. Imagine the scandal!
Tumblr media
He stared at the crisp façade of the building, wincing slightly as the sunlight caught a large front window and turned in briefly into a blinding mirror. He almost walked away for good—but no, he had nothing to lose but a little bit of dignity and he could live with that. Elliot took a deep breath, smoothed his hair down pointlessly, and walked up the steps to ring Wila Travers’s doorbell.

BASICS.
NAME. Wila Travers AGE. 26 ALUMNI HOUSE. Gryffindor BLOOD STATUS. Half-blood FACECLAIM. Davika Hoorne
HISTORY.
The Travers family has always been more interested in business than politics. This has served them well over the years, and not just in the weight of their moneybags. It’s certainly made them many friends in high places, because wealthy people who don’t stick their noses into other people’s business enough to cause offense are always popular. They’ve been half-bloods for generations, yes, but they’re so refined (and rich) that the subject hardly ever comes up. And the Traverses don’t care: they go where the money is, even if it’s muddy. This means they’re not a good match for an eldest son or only child - but a second son? A younger daughter? Oh, the Traverses were an ideal family for marrying-off pureblood spares. This left their family tree littered with connections to almost everyone who’s anyone - and all the useful business opportunities that come with those ties.
Wila always had a head for business. She doesn’t care about the gold much, but the strategy of investment and finances has fascinated her since childhood. It’s like playing chess, only not as easy. In another life, Wila could be the sort of queen who commands a vast armada spilling across the seas in wars of undaunted conquest. Here, her targets are vaults in Gringotts and the latest innovations in things like broomstick design or potioneering. Wila is always on the cutting-edge of everything, because everything - from sport to fashion to medicine - all comes back to finance in the end. Even war, in a way, although she was too astute an investor to sink her interests into something as reckless as Voldemort’s little crusade. The Traverses prefer to steer-clear of political entanglements like that - and it’s a creed that’s served them well and lined their pockets deeply over the years. Until Wila’s little sister broke that unwritten rule and paid a deadly price.
The Traverses were wealthy, but not obnoxiously so - not like some wixen families. But of course, they haven’t been passing the same fortune down a single well-pruned branch of their family tree for thirteen generations. Travers money was more diluted, spread out to a dozen distant cousins - all wealthy in their own rights - but their money was also more active than that of most wix families. Traverses didn’t rest on their laurels; they reinvested and collected the dividends and then went back for more. Most old families preferred letting theirs molder in their vaults where it did no one any good (a large part of the reason why the Traverses haven’t been purebloods in decades). But the Malfoys understood that you have to spend money to make money, making them a regular investment partner, and it was that which led her poor sister Sarai to her doom. She’d brought a new business proposal to Lucius, who’d always been too charming for anyone’s good but his own. And Sarai, loyal little Hufflepuff that she was, had also been looking for a cause. Lucius was only too happy to offer one.
At first Wila didn’t think much about it - it was just a hobby. The Death Eaters kept Sarai busy, and she seemed to be enjoying herself, so what was there to worry about? If Wila had paid more attention she might have seen the danger coming in time to save her sister - or maybe Sarai was lost the moment she put on those black robes. Because while Sarai was loyal, she was also foolhardy. Prone to leaping without looking - to making mistakes. In business you have to be willing to take a few risks and write-off the resultant losses. But no one told the Dark Lord that. Sarai did something that drew his ire, and Sarai died for her failure. Now Wila finds herself very interested in politics. Not messy things like blood-status and Ministry corruption, but the simpler and starker politics of revenge. She doesn’t give a damn about the Order of the Phoenix save that it’s her best chance to destroy Voldemort and every single Death Eater serving him. The “cause” is a meaningless distraction. All that matters to Wila is balancing the debt of her sister’s death by obliterating the evil that murdered her.
CONNECTIONS.
ELLIOT VANITY. It was surprising to see a Vanity in the Order - and even more surprising when a second joined. While Wila views Emma as idiotic and foolish with her girly ways and batting eyelashes, she can see value in Elliot. He’s brave, but in a calculated and smart sort of way. For someone with her eye always on business, he’s the best bet as an ally when it comes to the Vanity clan. ALASTOR MOODY. Of course the Auror helped start the Order - he’d always been a bit off his rocker, hadn’t he? Wila can respect him for his expertise, but that’s about it. He’s not the sort of leader she’s used to having around. The people she tends to deal with understand checks and balances - while Moody is spouting off things like Constant Vigilance as though expecting everyone should just get what he means. Surely, there’s a better leader. CARADOC DEARBORN. Now this is someone Wila can trust. She’s been a frequenter of his pub for years - a good deal of the business she’s done is negotiated over pints in a corner booth, pipe smoke in the air. Caradoc makes a better leader than Moody, in Wila’s opinion, so she’s glad he’s up in the ranks. She just hopes that this Order business doesn’t mean Caradoc will suddenly stop wanting to do real business outside of the group.
WILA IS TAKEN.

A silvery crow perches on the window. Wila's voice is calm but underneath there's a hint of panic. "There's been an explosion in London. I'm okay but I'm looking for Evans and Lovegood. I haven't heard from Bones or Edgecombe. I can't tell how far the damage goes, we need backup." ~Wila
Weaving in and out of the rubble, the low hum of Hestia's patronus comes upon Wila, as the tiny silver creature settles itself between the strands of her hair, next to her ear.
"Looks like you've located Lovegood. Evans is not far from your location. Bones and Edgecombe are both on the move, coming to you. Yaxley and Black have been deployed to your location. Secure the area, assist any injured muggles. Return to headquarters once the situation is under control. Remain alert."
The buzz of the honeybee faded away as the patronus dematerialized.

Date: June 24th, 1984, an hour-ish after the blast Location: York, UK  @wila-travers
Ted had been deployed to the scene of the London explosion with a small group of coworkers from his department. Most days, his job wasn’t that exciting. It was a lot of talking on the phone - they were the only department with a handful of telephones and, despite everything, only a couple of people within the department understood how to use them - or writing fake reports for Muggle authorities or being dispatched to towns to give excuses to random Muggles about what they saw. He worked with Obliviators often. But, mainly, it was just a lot of paperwork. Ted typically spent his days at a desk in a cubicle with his hand cramping around a quill.
But then came the other, more rare part. The fieldwork. There were times where the Statute of Secrecy was broken to a larger scale. When he and other employees of his department had to don a disguise to smooth things over. Sometimes, it was Quidditch-gone-wrong incidents. Other times, a muggleborn child at a school had let out their magic in a very serious way. Ted had a variety of disguises all equipped with magically-forged badges of every level of Muggle authority.
That was necessary today. It was a planned attack - You-Know-Who and his followers at it again - in multiple locations. Death Eaters in Liverpool, Dementors (seriously, how the fuck did that happen?) in York... and an explosion in London. He’d been prepped to assume numerous injuries and, likely, deaths. What his workplace didn’t know is that these three locations were familiar to him. The Order of the Phoenix had planned to counterattack the Death Eaters and, from the looks of it, it had all gone terribly wrong.
He was wearing Muggle clothing to fit in - part of the disguise the Ministry had given him for this particular ruse. Black trousers, a white button up shirt with a black tie. He had a badge in his pocket that stated he was MI6 and would surpass any Muggle authority that was currently already there. He held his head high when he approached a group of police with one of his co-workers also in disguise, showing his badge with a flip of his wrist. “Official word is a pipe burst,” he told them and they glanced him up and down.
“We heard terrorists... sir.” One of the bobbies said that final word with an air of sarcasm, looking Ted up and down as though he would know about these so-called ‘terrorists.’ Ted gave him a knowing, unfriendly smirk in return.
Tumblr media
“If you have better intel than I do, please inform me,” he said, his voice level, a cool chill in the tone. “Otherwise, I think I’ll go with what I’ve discovered from the Prime Minister.” That made the bobbie pale slightly as Ted looked around the rubble, his heart dropping at the number of injured Muggles, the blood. He wondered where the Order was - Wila was leading this team now, he remembered from the final meeting. This was the hardest part - pretending he didn’t care. Pretending he did this often. Pretending he didn’t know that, somewhere, people he knew were here trying to stave off what didn’t turn out to be the attack they were expecting.
“No, Sir,” the policeman said. “I - “ Ted held up a hand to stop him from talking as his gaze caught someone familiar. Wila. Ted turned to look at his co-worker, nodding his head slightly so they could take over, and excused himself from the group, making his way as quickly as possible without looking too rushed to Wila.
“Travers,” he greeted. “Tell me what happened.”

Location: Street in front of the Pierce Home Date: June 24, 1984 @lxceandlovegood, @wila-travers
One second it was a lovely, London summer day, birds chirping and the sound of cars a little distant in this quaint neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful enough for Lily to almost pretend she wasn’t patrolling in anticipation of an attack by masked fanatics bent on the blood of a child. The next, the ground beneath her feet seemed to heave and then drop away. The moment after that—well, Lily was mercifully unconscious for it.
The blast flung her, with all the boneless grace of a ragdoll, across the street, where she slammed into a car. Tempered glass shattered and metal twisted, leaving her cradled in the wreckage. Her left shoulder was oddly hunched, twisted out of proper place between a broken clavicle and a dislocated shoulder, while her arm lay at odd angles, multiple of them, a shock of white peeking through a gash of skin at one of the junctures. The car vibrated slightly around her, with the blare of its tinny, half-crunched alarm, a harsher counterpoint to the many others on the street adding to the cacophony as the air rushed back into the area.

Location: St. Mungo’s, then the Prewett Estate Date: June 24, 1984, just after news starts to spread Starter: @helloxhestia
Two days in St. Mungo’s was unpleasant at any time, but especially when Frank knew he was supposed to be leading a mission. Children were unknowingly counting on the Order to keep them safe, and it killed him not to be part of it. He could only hope Wila Travers was more ready than Frank was afraid she was.
A day into his stay and still worried, Frank strained to overhear two healers. “They’re saying it was an explosion.” “Muggles need to be more careful.” “That’s just it. Our people are investigating. They think it might not have been muggle.” That was it. Frank was getting out here. Now.
It took another thirty minutes of being nice, then testy toward his healers as he tried to convince them that when he was fully healed, twenty-four hours was plenty of time for observation. In the end, Frank wasn’t sure he’d really convinced them he was ready to leave so much as convinced them he wouldn’t be worth making stay for another twenty-three and a half. Frank promised to go home, to get some rest, and to check back in if anything seemed wrong.
Instead he went straight to the Prewett Estate. He stepped through the floo in the entry room, and his eyes immediately landed on Hestia hunched over some parchment.
“Where is she?” Frank demanded. “What’s happening?”

WHEN: june 27th WHERE: Diagon Alley CLOSED for @wila-travers
"Don't run, Dora," Andromeda called for what seemed to be the millionth time, as she watched her daughter hurry off as soon as they entered the shop, completely ignoring her request.
She sighed, but the sight still managed to pull a smile from her lips. It wasn't like it was easy to lose a girl with bright purple hair, anyway -- and now green, and now red, and now pink --, so Nymphadora could have her riveting pre-teen distractions while Andromeda was doing the actual shopping. Flourish and Botts wasn't filled with any delicate, breakable items, at least. "Stay close, or I'll accio your pants back to me," she threatened, already distracted herself, running a finger past the spines of the books on the back shelf.
It was a quick errand run; Dora had been begging to get a copy of Intermediate Transfiguration, which she wouldn't need until her third year, but she had taken a liking towards the subject already. Fittingly. Andromeda promised they could get it if she behaved, which she had -- a much appreciated task in a week where her parents were both overworked and exhausted most of the time.
She'd been looking for the right title, too stubborn and too lazy to ask for help, when she found someone standing in her way. "Excuse me-- oh! Travers!" The greeting came out as a surprise, and Andromeda quickly schooled her features into something more polite. "Good evening. Sorry, you've caught me off guard. How've you been?" A loaded question when they both knew everything that had gone down a few days ago, though she tried not to think about it too much.

ANYTHING ELSE: I don’t think so!
CHARACTER DETAILS:
NAME: Wila Pensri Travers
AGE: Twenty six
GENDER, PRONOUNS, and SEXUALITY: Wila is a Cis-female who uses she/her pronouns. Wila is a bisexual woman, but she is not quite aware of the fact, and if she was she would not act on it. Even though the Wizarding World is a bit more accepting of differences, Wila does come from a family of traditionalists that have already made an exception for her and she isn’t willing to shake things up even more. It hasn’t mattered too much, though, since Wila hasn’t really had time for dating anyways.
BLOOD STATUS: Half-Blood
HOUSE ALUMNI: Gryffindor
ANY CHANGES: None!
CHARACTER BACKGROUND:
PERSONALITY:
It’s been said that Wila is playing chess while everyone around her is playing checkers. She has just always had an uncanny ability to see three steps in front of her to the point that some people have accused her of being a Seer. But it’s not some magical gift that allows her to see what’s going to happen, it’s just her years of thinking in terms of business deals. Wila was very nearly sorted into Slytherin for her ambition and determination, but she is also incredibly daring, loyal, and has a reckless streak a mile wide. It was in Gyffindor that she found other like minded individuals that helped her to hone her ability to take risks (mostly in business). As a teenager, though, she wasn’t afraid to break the rules and talk back to her professors when she had a good reason to.
Wila is a powerful and dignified woman in business that has earned the respect of men twice her age with twice the experience. Many people questioned her father’s decision to have a woman as his heir, but they very quickly realized that they had been wrong to doubt Damien Travers choice. Wila is shrewd in business and she doesn’t mince words in her personal life. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind in a diplomatic way (after all, you never want to offend potential clients). She is a total workaholic that is somehow managing to balance her clients with her work for the Order. Wila is not always the most friendly person in the Order, and she can be quite cold and matter of fact. But you have to be to be a woman in finance. She runs off of black coffee and carries revenge in her heart. She will sleep when all of the bastards that killed her sister are dead. Her recklessness and desire for revenge is obvious to all and is a concern to all. She isn’t afaid to die in the line of duty if it means taking out the people that were involved in her sister’s death.
Since Sarai’s death Wila has thrown herself into work even more than usual. She was incredibly businesslike at the funeral and did not shed a tear in public. In private, she raged and sobbed and cursed Lucius Malfoy and his stupid bullshit beliefs in his Dark Lord. It was his fault that Sarai was dead, she had followed him into war, and got herself killed in the middle. On the outside, she appears to be dealing with her grief in a ‘healthy’ way and she hasn’t hexed Lucius, although she has been cold to him ever since. But her changes aren’t easily seen to the general public.
BRIEF OVERVIEW OF FAMILY:
After the death of Wila’s grandfather, Damien had stepped up as head of the family and President of Travers Investment Firm. It appeared that he had everything until the death of his first wife blindsided him, leaving him with a young son and heir to the family firm. Eventually, he realized that he wanted a mother for his son and someone to take care of him. It was on a business trip to Thailand that he met the perfect woman for the part. Kalaya was a beautiful model and she quickly fell in love with the older man. Moving back to England was an easy decision and after a large wedding, two beautiful daughters followed not long after. It was clear to everyone that Damien had everything that he could ever want. It was expected that his children would be just as shrewd when it came to business as their father. The Travers family might not have been of ‘Pureblood’ anymore but their connections and wealth made up for any ‘muddy’ blood that they might have. Damien and Kalaya would raise their children with impossibly high standards and with an education that could rival the Black sisters or the Malfoy heir.
Traditionalists to a fault, Damien took on the rearing of Silas while Kalaya took on Wila and Sarai’s education. Wila took ballet and learned to speak French, while Silas learned about finance and investments, much to Wila’s frustration. She thought that it was completely unfair that Silas got to learn about business while she was stuck in etiquette lessons with Sarai. But her mother wouldn’t hear it whenever Wila expressed her frustrations. She knew that she was meant for more than a marriage to some rich husband to keep the Travers line wealthy but her mother didn’t see that. Even though Silas was several years older than her, Wila could see that the way that their family handled things was unfair. So when she turned nine, she decided that she was going to do something about it, and she took to hiding in her father’s office before his business lessons with Silas. She would hide in the cupboard for hours, listening and absorbing everything.
One day her parents would realize that they had been wrong about her.
Right before Wila’s eleventh birthday, things fell apart at home. At Silas’s graduation from Hogwarts, he sat his father and Kalaya down to tell them the truth. That he wasn’t interested in the family business, that he was going to be an actor, and that he had a boyfriend. Wila wasn’t sure which was the final straw for her father, but she suspected that he was most upset about Silas not wanting to follow in his footsteps and wanting to be an actor of all things. Wila and Sarai had huddled outside their father’s study and listened to the blow out fight that ended with Silas storming from the house.
Wila had decided at that moment that it was now or never and she stepped into the doorway and told her father to let her be the heir. Kalaya had immediately chastised her for her insolence, but Damien had looked at her curiously. He gestured towards his desk and Wila stepped up to the challenge. Damien put her through a series of ‘tests’ that she flew through with flying colors. When her father looked at her with pride, Wila felt truly seen for the first time in her life. Convincing her mother was a different challenge, but it was eventually decided that Wila would continue with her mother’s teachings, but she would spend time with her father learning the family business. Her father warned her that it wouldn’t be an easy feat, breaking into business in a mostly male dominated field, but he could see that Wila was up to the task.
Going to Hogwarts was almost a let down. Wila didn’t really care about learning magic theory, although she did well in class because her parents expected it. It was at Hogwarts, when Sarai joined her, that the sisters grew close for the first time. Away from the boredom of her mother’s etiquette classes and French lessons, the sisters were able to be themselves. Wila realized that she would do anything that she could for her sister, and when graduation came, she was surprised that she was sad to say goodbye to her sister and the school that she had somehow grown to love. After graduation, she threw herself into her family business and she thrived. She was a total workaholic and quickly rose through the ranks. Everything was perfect and what she wanted.
Until Sarai came to her flat one day and showed her her dark mark. Wila knew all about the war that was waging around them but she was privileged enough to not have to be involved. She had no desire to fight or to ruin any business deals with politics. She thought that Sarai was being a little foolish, getting involved, but her younger sister had always made her own decisions and Wila wasn’t going to tell her sister how to live her life. But she regretted that choice immensely.
Within the year of joining the Death Eaters, Sarai was dead. And Wila was set on a path of self destruction and revenge. It lead her to the Order of the Phoenix.
OCCUPATION:
Wila works for her family’s Investment firm and she is poised to become President of the firm when her father retires or dies. She loves her position in the company because she has the freedom to invest in whatever she sees as a good fit for the company and her portfolio. She is incredibly knowledgeable about good investment choices and is one of the most sought after people in the firm. It’s said that she has doubled some of her clients Gringotts vaults over her years with the firm.
LIVING SITUATION:
Wila lives in a large flat in Diagon Alley. It is decorated in white and black and is very clean and crisp looking. It has a large window that takes up almost an entire wall in her living room. She charms it so it looks like her apartment looks out at different cities. She is quite fond of charming it so she can see the eiffel tower in the distance, but she has also charmed it to look out at the New York City skyline. Why have magic if you can’t utilze it to give yourself a different view every night?
ORDER OF THE PHOENIX:
The Order of the Phoenix, and Wila’s involvement in it, is a means to an end. Even though Wila ia a half-blood, she is an incredibly privileged one and due to her family’s wealth and status, she has never been looked down upon (at least not to her face) for being a half-blood. Some Purebloods even forget that her family is not ‘one of them’. But since Sarai’s death, Wila realizes that they are her best chance at getting revenge for Sarai. And revenge is all that she can think about these days. Since joining the Order, she has found a purpose in life again besides making money and business. She is running herself ragged for the Order and to try and make the people that took her sister from her pay.
In terms of strengths in the Order, Wila is a strategist at her core. She does best when she is in the strategy room with the others coming up with a plan of attack. Sometimes she butts heads with the others because she is too willing to make sacrifices that aren’t hers to make. She can hold her own on the battlefield, but can be a bit too reckless, which is something that the higher ups in the Order take issue with. She has trouble seeing that not everyone is in on her revenge mission. Wila is absolutely garbage at healing, and it’s something that nobody should ever ask her to try. She has no patience to heal injuries or to nurture someone back to health.
RELATIONSHIPS:
First of foremost, Wila is in the Order for revenge, not friends. She sees most of the members of the Order as colleagues and people that she has to get along with for the sake of revenge, but she probably won’t talk to the vast majority of them after the war.
Evan Rosier- It was a shock to see the heir to the Rosier name in the Order. That was something that she never would have expected, but it makes sense. After all, the Travers family has heard a lot, and she has heard plenty about the Rosier family over the years. She does business with some of them. She likes Evan well enough, she thinks that he is a good asset with his healer knowledge and she has certainly gone to him for injuries here and there, and for a dreamless sleep potion here and there since her sister died.
Emma and Elliot Vanity- Wila has had plenty of interaction with both of the Vanity’s and she has a lot of opinions. She thinks that Emma is rather vapid and superficial and she doesn’t have a very high opinion of her. It was incredibly surprising to see Emma join the Order, and it has made Wila wonder if she is perhaps wrong about the younger woman. On the other hand, she sees a lot of potential in Elliot. He was a Gryffindor, for one, so he has that going for him already. But he is brave and Wila appreciates that his bravery isn’t quite so loud as Potter or Black’s. Because even though Wila was also a Gryffindor, she hates the stereotypical Gryffindors that give the rest of them a bad name. There’s also something about Elliot that reminds her of Sarai and she wants to protect him. She sees a lot of potential in him.
Hestia Jones- Wila thinks that Hestia is a bit strange, what with her love of all things muggle. Wila does think that there are some muggle things that she would have considered investing in, if she really wanted to, so she can’t entirely fault Hestia for it all. But most of all, Wila appreciates her mind for strategy. There are few others in the Order that Wila thinks rivals her own genius, and Hestia is one of those such people. She is someone that Wila will back down to when it comes down to it. She realizes that Hestia has their best interests in mind, which makes Wila feel a little bit guilty at times since she is really in it for selfish reasons. But it is what it is.
Lucinda Talkalot- Wila understands Lucinda and her rage. It’s rage that she herself feels every day since losing her sister. She didn’t know Mica, and would never presume to tell Lucinda what she’s feeling or going through. That’s not her place. But what Wila will do is be there for the younger girl when she needs it. Lucinda is perhaps one of the few people in the Order that Wila would drop everything for, if she needed her. Not a lot of people in the Order can understand what it’s like for them to lose a sibling.
Alastor Moody- Wila thinks that the man is completely crazy. A brilliant Auror, perhaps, but he’s not the greatest leader that they could have. Wila has mostly held her tongue when it comes to him, though, because she sees how well respected he is by all of the other members of the Order. But she sometimes questions if he is really the best person that should be leading them, he’s just so paranoid.
Sarai Travers- Sarai died on March 17th, 1983 at twenty third years old, just a few months shy of her twenty fourth birthday. Her death hit Wila very hard. It’s been about fifteen months since Sarai died and Wila has been struggling. The two sisters weren’t very close when they were children–Wila had thought that her younger sister was far too interested in the etiquette classes that their mother put them in and that she was far too vapid to have a real conversation with. It was especially hard for Sarai since she desperately wanted to be involved in the family business and her sister just didn’t understand. Wila held a lot of anger as a child and she took it out on Sarai far too often. And Sarai would just take it. Thinking back on it, Wila hates the way that she treated Sarai as children and wishes that she could take it back, if only to have had more time with her. The girls became close at Hogwarts and that followed them up until Sarai’s death. Never did Wila think that she was going to have to go on without her baby sister.
OOC EXPLORATION:
SHIPS/ANTI-SHIPS: Wila/Chemistry!
INTERPERSONAL STRUGGLES:
The biggest and most obvious struggle that Wila is going through is dealing with the death of her sister. Wila loved her sister so much and losing her felt like losing a part of herself. She blames herself for not steering her sister in a different direction and for not getting involved when she had the chance. She wonders if she had been more available for Sarai or hadn’t been such a workaholic than maybe things would have ended up differently. But she can’t go back and change things and that’s something that Wila hasn’t fully accepted yet. Working with the Order, she is channeling her desire for revenge, which has been somewhat healing, but it’s not a healthy way to deal with her grief.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?
I loved Wila and her mission for revenge. Wila is so different from Emmeline and that was what I was mostly looking for in a potential seond character. And honestly, this roleplay is just so incredible and I love everyone so much that I will be here forever.
PLOT DROP IDEAS (OPTIONAL): I mean, Wila thinks that it would be cool to get the chance to take Lucius Malfoy out for what he did to Sarai. But other than that I am just excited to see all of the drama and all of the Order things that are going to happen over the course of the roleplay!
ANYTHING ELSE? It’s not a huge change, but just aging Sarai age at death from 25 to 23 so there is a little bit of an age gap between Wila and Sarai.

THE DEBRIEFING.
An emergency meeting is called at midnight, at the cusp of June 25th to debrief about the botched mission. They have a spy — they know this already, but it’s more than evident now. Someone leaked this information to the Death Eaters.
A voice comes from the back. A haughty drawl from none other than the youngest Black sibling. You've overlooked the obvious. Not a surprise, I know, but I didn't expect to think for you all again. If you're this worried about spies, stop being so fussy about personal privacy or whatever it is you’re dithering over and make everyone show their forearms, Regulus scoffs, and the members of the Order give one another confused stares.
Regulus explains about the Dark Marks that Voldemort places on his most trusted followers and any spy will thus surely have one. Eyes go to Severus, questioning. Severus confirms what Regulus is saying, claiming he did not share this prior because Dumbledore has his reasons. He shows his forearm — a pale skull with a serpent tongue rests there. Severus explains how it works for Voldemort to call his followers to him.
Alastor and Hestia send for Theodosia from the infirmary. The same symbol rests against her skin. She’s allowed to return to the infirmary. Much chatter ensues — arguments, frustration, exhaustion — but, soon, each member shows their forearm. No other member has a visible Dark Mark. The Order is left back where they started — with a spy they don’t know, one step behind the Death Eaters.
To end the meeting, each Team Lead gives their reports. The meeting concludes around two in the morning.
FIELD REPORTS.
Team London, led by Wila Travers.
Prior to the explosion, Edgar and Nicky were stationed in the orchard in the back and Wila and Lily were stationed in the front. Xenophilius joined them in the front. There was no sign of trouble. The explosion happened at approximately 12:03 pm. The exact location could not be pinpointed, but it was very near the Pierce home. It completely destroyed the street, along with several homes.
Nicky and Edgar sustained minor injuries: Nicky a concussion after being blow from a tree; Edgar a minor wound on his side that later reopened and became more severe upon Apparating to headquarters. Xeno was blown back from the blast and sustained a concussion and other minor wounds. Wila suffered a broken wrist and cuts and bruises. Lily was critically injured after being blown into a car. She survived, but is still being observed in the infirmary.
Wila sent Edgar, Xeno, and Lily back to headquarters to be seen by the healers, and sent Nicky to find Regulus and Marlene, who had arrived as back up. They were tasked with finding as many muggles as they possibly could to help. The three of them passed on the story that a gas main had exploded and they helped as many muggles as they possibly could.
Wila met up with Ted, who was there working for the Ministry, on the scene of the explosion and Ted informed her that official cover-up story is a burst pipe. The news will be covering the story in the morning. They were able to locate Wilma’s family in the Pierce house and bring them to Muggle police.
Wila reports on how well her team did in the face of all of the chaos that surrounded them. They handled the change in team lead and the emergency planning meeting, along with the fallout of the explosion. The team members that were injured in the explosion all wanted to stay and continue helping the muggles, but Wila sent the most injured back for healing.
Team Liverpool, led by Gideon Prewett.
The Death Eaters approached Liverpool just after noon, as expected. However, there were more of them than anticipated. Severus, Theodosia, Alastor, and Gideon distracted the Death Eaters and drew them away before engaging in battle. Alastor and Theo sustained larger injuries. Gideon and Severus sustained minor injuries. The team was able to make their exit to the safe house, with Severus supporting Theo to the infirmary at headquarters.
Reggie and Lucinda went to the house for the family. They were held with a knife to Reggie’s throat before Lucinda called Remus for back-up. Upon his arrival, they were successful in getting the family, including an infant child, to the safe house using their portkey. The trial run with the amulets worked well.
Team York, led by Peter Pettigrew.
The team began split into two with Peter and Gwen at the top of the hill and James and Amelia near the house when dementors approached just after noon. James called headquarters for back up and Robyn and Andromeda joined them. James found Peter, while Robyn found Amelia. Andromeda and Gwen were tasked with getting out the family. This was successful with minor set backs where Andromeda had to return for one member. She was splinched upon arrival back to headquarters, but was healed and discharged.
Robyn reports that she approves of James’ focus on finding Peter when it was clear he'd be at a disadvantage, but tempers that praise with a note about failing to inform Amelia of what he was doing when he ran off. She also praises Amelia for staying cool and in control under pressure. She notes personal concerns about Dementors slipping away from Azkaban and the potential implications that could have on a broader scale, with recommendations on remedial Patronus lessons for all Order members in case they are an ongoing threat on future missions. In the meantime, she advises all Order members be made aware of the Patronus status of their teammates going forward. Andromeda backs up this notion with colorful swear words.
Amelia has requested to not be paired up with James again after he left her in the lurch, while Andromeda reports that Gwen was very helpful in getting her to the infirmary after splinching. She is worried about Gwen’s safety on the field. Gwen praises Peter for his leadership, James seconds.
It is noted to the Order members that James’ patronus has changed to a dragon.
Team Wiltshire, led by Alice Longbottom.
Upon their arrival, Emma triggered a trap on the property of the farm, which was no doubt put there by Death Eaters after the Order’s plans were leaked. Alice inferred there would be more traps and warned the group, splitting them into teams of two to search for and disarm the rest. Dorcas and Emma took one side of the farm, while Sirius and Fletch took the other. They believe they were able to find all traps and successfully dismantle them. Dorcas, Emma, and Fletch sustained minor injuries from the traps.
Right around noon, the final trap was set off and Fiendfyre encircled the farmhouse, with Dorcas on the inside of the ring nearest the house. Alice and Emma were able to make their way across the fire with minimal damage. A patronus was sent to HQ for back up and Dirk arrived for support. Alice praises Dirk for his quick thinking to contain the fire and the group began to work as one to do so. Frank arrived on the scene, bringing news of the incantation to reverse Fiendfyre. They were successful in clearing the area of fire, although damage was done to the property.
Alice checked in on the family, who were safely inside, and did likely see the spellcasting. She reports to Ted that the Ministry may need to get involved, as the team left quickly once Muggle authorities arrived. Dirk and Dorcas called them firefighters. Dirk reports concern over Fiendfyre’s lifelike ability to adapt, change, and target individuals. He requests more studying to be done on the subject, in case they run into this again.
Burns and smoke inhalation were sustained by every member of the group, with Alice having the worse of the burns (though not severe) and Dirk having the worst of the smoke damage to his lungs. Alice and Dirk were also affected by temporary magical draining from using patronuses too near the fiendfyre, although as yet no Order members are aware of this effect. All members were treated at the infirmary and cleared. Alice expresses (somewhat surprised) pleasure with how well the whole team dealt with the unexpected (and deadly) events with a particular focus on how well members looked out for one another in the face of danger.
HEADQUARTER REPORTS.
Infirmary, report given by Evan Rosier.
Evan gives a shoutout to everyone since no one died. With that said, Lily and Theo will be spending the night in the infirmary for overnight observation. Severus will assist in overnight monitoring.
He requests a bigger space for the infirmary. One room, along with a makeshift morgue, is not enough space if more than two people need to be observed overnight or longer. Death Eaters are upping their game and he has no issue with upping his, but cramped spaces aren’t going to cut it for mass injuries. This request is granted by Gideon and magical construction can begin in the morning.
Evan forces everyone into a lecture to discuss what “minor injury” and “I’m/it’s fine” means. For future missions, he requests avoidance of black/navy blue outfits for the sake of people being able to tell if they’re injured before getting back to HQ. He understands this could change for covert operations.
He praises Emmeline for being in her element and keeping her cool throughout the entirety of the healing support. Remus, Robyn, and Daisy get shoutouts for stepping in to assist. At the team’s request, please assign Robyn someone to practice her mummification skills on after each mission. (They need a source of entertainment to lighten up the somber mood.)
Evan would like better warnings on who he is getting for team members since scrambling to try to figure stuff out is not an ideal. There was some confusion among the additional pre-mission staff as to why they were put there in the first place. It is not a helpful for anyone if Evan doesn’t know what to do with them and people don’t know why they were assigned to him in the first place. He also requests that people not assume he’ll hit it off with someone purely because they’re both purebloods.
Finally, James is temporarily banned from the infirmary. This is non-negotiable.
Strategy and Field Operations, report given by Hestia Jones.
Hestia begins her report by giving specific commendations. Daisy did some excellent work in both headquarters and the infirmary. Pandora was a necessary assistant to headquarters. Dirk did well with the fieldwork. Gwen’s work exceeded expectations. Peter led his team against the absolute unexpected with aplomb. Good work, as usual. Alice continues to kick ass. Gideon held his own in the field against unfair odds. Great work. Edgar brought a level of know-how well above his level. Brilliant job. Emmeline continues to show incredible promise as a healer. Wila showed exemplary leadership skills on the field. James managed himself well on the field.
She is proud of the Order’s teamwork and ability to keep all the families safe. Despite the challenges, they completed their objective. She has plans to discuss concerns with individual members privately, but appreciates the reports given tonight. Some members should be prepared to be called into a meeting with her and Alastor later this week if concerns need to be discussed.
She also reports on possible changes to be discussed later:
Daisy optioned for possible assistant work for team leadership/infirmary.
Frank has made a full recovery and is back on the roster.
Wila to be optioned for more frequent team leadership/possible First Level promotion.
Dirk to be optioned for field work slightly more often.
Gwen given Third Level field work status.
Gideon officially reinstated as Team Lead.
Edgar to be optioned for Second Level field work status, a promotion.
James’ request for leadership is still under advisement and will continued to be monitored based on performance. The infirmary ban is supported.
Concerns (Note: These were not shared with the group, but have been discussed with Alastor and these members may be called in for a meeting or plotted with by players):
Regulus may need to be kept on a shorter leash regarding his leg. Will be monitored. He may be optioned for field work less frequently or given easier mission work due to mobility.
Emma will be further monitored regarding field missions. She may not be ready.
Lily will be monitored based on her injuries. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Theodosia will be monitored based on her injuries. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Severus engaged in an altercation in the infirmary post-field. To be discussed.
James engaged in an altercation in the infirmary post-field. To be discussed.
Strategy and Field Operations, report given by Alastor Moody.
Alastor also begins with specific praise for each team. For Team London, despite the fact that they literally had shit blow-up in their faces and numerous members injured, not only did Wila keep a level head and get her team out safely, she was also able to get the Pierce family out with no harm done to them. For Team Liverpool, Alastor notes that each member held their own well against the Death Eaters that showed up. Reggie and Lucinda both acted professional and calm despite the weapon held on them, and were able to gain the family's trust to remove them safely.
For Team York, a job well done, but a mild suggestion to check that all team members are with the group at mission's end to ensure members do not need to return to a possibly hostile area. Peter led well, however, during the dementor attack and his team aided one another well beyond this concern. For Team Wiltshire, being put up against Fiendfyre is no easy task and each member of Alice's team conducted themselves exceptionally in the face of injuries, traps, and the fire itself. They ensured not only one another's safety, but the family's too. A job well done.
Concerns (Note: These were not shared with the group, but have been discussed with Hestia and these members may be called in for a meeting or plotted with by players):
Regulus' mobility does not mean he cannot go out into the field, just that they should check what his limitations are. Concerned with phrasing of said concern, and suggests that they bring Regulus in to discuss the matter soon rather than make it a blanket statement. (Vetos)
Emma’s monitoring is fine, but again ask. Provide reasons why she may not be ready, rather than assume so. (Approves with suggestions)
Wishes to discuss Edgar's promotion further. Would like to see him do more work with another lead before being given said promotion. He did well in this mission, yes, but should not be just held to one thing and given an expectation for growth and a place to make mistakes where people won't die if he messes up (Neutral with suggestions)
Would like to add that a shift should be put into place so Lily and Theodosia may be monitored and not burden Evan or Emmeline overly much in the aftermath of the mission. Let them rest. Asks for volunteers to take overnight shift for the evening. Ted, Remus, and Gwen volunteer. Severus will also remain in the infirmary. (Neutral)
Agrees that Severus and James should both be pulled aside, most possibly separately, for their discussions. Alastor does not want to break up a school yard fight and have to send them to time out. (Approves with suggestions)
DETAILS.
You may begin threads set June 25th and after. Feel free to react to the debriefing mission in your threads or set paras on same night.
Theo Sewlyn was able to communicate with Voldemort after returning to the infirmary and he was able to make the Dark Marks invisible, which is how our other spies stayed undiscovered. After the debriefing meeting, spies will notice their Dark Marks returning even darker than before — a sign from the Dark Lord that he owns them.
Not present at the meeting: Emmeline (stayed in the infirmary while Evan went as Lead), Lily (unconscious), Theo (overnight observation; she attends briefly at the beginning when requested to confirm Dark Mark information).
As always, all existing threads are allowed to be continued, no matter the date set. If you are dropping threads, please provide a short closing summary.

AN EXPOSED BETRAYAL.
The Order expected the Death Eaters to attack. What they didn’t expect was for Death Eaters to know this. At the same time — just after noon — a series of events play out across the various teams and their locations, tipping off the Order that, once again, they’ve been betrayed by a spy.
Back-up is coming — both because of the watchful eyes on the maps and the patronuses that headquarters receive from their besieged field agents — but, once again, the Death Eaters are one step ahead.
THE ATTACKS.
Team London, led by Wila Travers.
As they wait in the busy city for Death Eaters, something even worse happens: Seemingly out of nowhere, a major explosion occurs, throwing the city — and the Order members — into ruin. Without further signs of active Death Eater activity, it’s unlikely the family will be targeted any more today. The new objective: to save as many affected Muggles as possible and get back to headquarters as quickly as possible. The problem: many members from this team were directly impacted by the blast.
Note: This team will have the highest probability of injuries from the onset.
Back-up to be given by Marlene McKinnon & Regulus Black.
Team Liverpool, led by Gideon Prewett.
This is the only team where things seem to go according to plan...much to their regret. They see a group of several Death Eaters approach, led by Bellatrix, Rodolphus, and Rabastan Lestrange, but it’s more people than anticipated, as the Order planned for the Death Eaters to be spread out amongst the locations. The objective: fight their way out of Liverpool while also bringing the family to one of the Order safehouses where they will call for Minerva McGonagall to take over and prepare the new muggleborn student (and family) for what comes next.
Note: This team has the two double-agents; how do they handle being face-to-face with their masked comrades?
Back-up to be given by Alastor Moody & Reggie Cattermole.
Team York, led by Peter Pettigrew.
They’re waiting for Death Eaters — what they don’t anticipate is something else approaching. Suddenly they feel a coldness down their spines. It’s familiar, but only in that way that’s terrifying. The dementors have never left Azkaban or government control before — this is the first time the Order has come across them. The objective: stave off the dementors and get the family to safety to call for Minerva McGonagall.
Note: Who amongst them can produce a patronus? There is also a squib on the team — can she see the Dementors?
Back-up to be given by Robyn Lynch & Andromeda Tonks.
Team Wiltshire, led by Alice Longbottom.
Having discovered the numerous traps planted around the Burns Farm, Team Wiltshire has been working their way in from the farm's boundaries towards the house, disabling (or unwillingly triggering) the traps as they go. The moment they cross a certain point — just on the inside of a thin creek that cuts across the property — they set-off the primary boobytrap that all the little traps were hiding: a large water jug tips over, releasing a gout of Fiendfyre that quickly forms a blazing circle around the farm, one that begins to slowly tighten around the wix and the not-distant-enough house that they are tasked with protecting. The objective: manage the fire, disable the traps, and get out. The family will no longer be in danger then — if they can get the fire out in time.
Note: There is no currently known magical way to completely extinguish uncontrolled Fiendfyre.
Back-up to be given by Dirk Cresswell.
HEADQUARTERS.
Strategy and Field Operations:
Hestia Jones will now be assisted by Pandora Malfoy and Daisy Hookum.
Objective: Watch maps, check in on Entry Room, assist injured to infirmary, intercept patronuses with information, adjust plans.
For thread purposes, anything goes as characters currently in HQ are told to provide back-up and teams currently on field start to come back.
Infirmary:
Evan Rosier and Emmeline Vance are the only two healers left.
Objective: heal the injured, intercept those coming from the Entry Room to the infirmary, ensure no deaths.
For thread purposes, anything goes as characters currently in HQ are told to provide back-up and teams currently in the field start to come back.
DETAILS.
Chaos has ensued, so players should feel free to jump around in the timeline — both in action and back at HQ. It might be helpful to mark event threads with a time estimate, but it’s not required.
Theo Sewlyn was the spy who set this up from the beginning (aka why she gave the Order the information in the first place), but no one in the Order is aware of this. Please don’t out Theo as spy just yet! Most members likely assume it was the (unknown) spy that leaked the information back to Voldemort after Theo had given it to them, thus leading the Death Eaters to change their plans.
You do not have to rely on the dice to determine outcomes for your character, but you are welcome to utilize them if you wish! They’re fun to use for spellcasting, injuries, etc.
Injuries are allowed and given that magic can heal most everything relatively quickly we will not be limiting the amount of injured; however if you want a long-lasting or permanent injury for your character please discuss with the admins first.
All event threads are allowed at this point. The only requirement would be that teams don’t mix on the field — only back at HQ — unless they are a designated back-up.
No future threads allowed at this time — everything should be on this date or before.
New threads set before June 24th are allowed, but should be kept to a minimum. As always, all existing threads are allowed to be continued, no matter the date set. If you are dropping threads, please provide a short closing summary.

JUNE 24TH, 1984.
The Order of the Phoenix has spent the last several days prepping for the mission announced during their last meeting. With new information coming to light from Severus Snape, along with Frank Longbottom’s injury, the Order has to scramble to change plans and make adjustments. But they can’t wait any longer - the Death Eaters are one step ahead and they have to do what’s right. The morning of Saturday, June 24th, the teams are dispersed to their locations to get settled and watch for activity. Thanks to some quick planning between Dirk Cresswell and Hestia Jones, those back at headquarters are now able to track the movements of members at each location.
The rule: Do not engage until Death Eaters arrive.
FIELD TEAMS.
Team Lead: Frank Longbottom Wila Travers (Following an injury on the job, Frank Longbottom has been benched for his safety as he continues his recovery. Wila has been placed as Team Lead in a last minute decision the night before the mission).

Dirk Cresswell Severus Snape (moved to Liverpool) Reginald Cattermole Dilara Yaxley
Healing Lead: Evan Rosier
Emmeline Vance Regulus Black Robyn Lynch
DETAILS.
Players should start as though groups are waiting for action. Please do not have characters engage in combat or see Death Eater activity at this point. We will be having a mid-event plot drop related to action after a vote in the discord for timing, and this will initiate the actual conflict. (Feel free to jump at shadows, etc, though!)
Field teams: paras can be broken up into several 1x1 or group threads - anything goes, as long as they stay in their starting locations, for now.
HQ teams: Paras can move between teams, since everyone is in the same location. You may engage in any threads within one another, just not with the current field team characters. These characters are able to track the movements of the field teams using the maps.
No future threads allowed at this time - everything should be on this date or before.
New threads set before June 24th are allowed, but should be kept to a minimum. As always, all existing threads are allowed to be continued, no matter the date set. If you are dropping threads (such as from the last event), please provide a short closing summary.

Note
June 23rd, 1984 Just before midnight
Lily,
I know it's late, but I couldn't live with myself if I didn't try and talk to you before we both go off into battle tomorrow. I didn’t want to have this morning be our last time in case… well, you know. I’m sorry for being a right prat lately, but I can’t look at you anymore. Maybe that’s why I’m writing. Easier this way or something. Be safe tomorrow, okay? I won’t ask you not to throw yourself in danger for that kid or anything like that because I already know you will if you have to, but just still try and be safe. I know you think the world needs me or some shit, but it needs you, too.
I really fucking miss you.
Love,  James
A scribbled hasty addition at the bottom: Sirius doesn’t know I’m writing this and I think the lads would be mad if they knew because I’m pretty sure Remus and Peter think I’m the one at the wrong end of this relationship… so just… me and you, alright?
Bad enough that she was coming off days of constant anxiety and existential guilt over the nature of this mission, but then there was the pressure of Frank’s injury and having their team rearranged to be led by Wila Travers less than twenty-four hours before they were due to head out. To add this on top of it all?
It was too much. Especially when all she wanted on a normal day was to Apparate to James’s side and hold him and cry and let him tell her that everything would be all right, the world would right itself somehow and things would work out. Today, Lily barely had enough left in her metaphorical tank to feed and water Obie before sending him off. She read and reread the note with a detached numbness that rang in her ears until the exhaustion won out and she fell asleep with the paper clutched in her hand.
The next morning brought no respite, but she read the letter one last time before neatly folding it up and tucking it into her pocket to keep it close before she headed out to meet with the rest of her team. Perhaps if she got through this, she would find enough in herself to be able to handle the message, and James, without falling to pieces.

BASICS.
NAME. Okello Brown AGE. 26 ALUMNI HOUSE. Gryffindor BLOOD STATUS. Muggleborn FACECLAIM. Daniel Kaluuya
HISTORY.
Okello Brown never set out to change the world. He was an average kid from an average home and he had average expectations for his life — except it turned out he was wrong about all of that. Because Okello wasn’t average, he was magic. All the weird little things that happened whenever he was around weren’t mere coincidence, or the result of an ordinarily hectic family existing in close proximity to one another. They were a sign of wizardry, and he needed to go to school to learn to master those powers. This revelation led to something of a row between Okello’s parents, but eventually the witch who’d brought them the news got everything sorted out and straightened up and the next thing Okello knew, he was on his way to a magical castle to learn how to cast spells. It was unbelievable... but it wasn’t perfect, of course. Nothing in life is, not even magic.
That was all right, it wasn’t exactly a surprise. Okello had never expected perfection, so finding that Hogwarts came with its fair share of sneers and shadows and prejudice was hardly earth-shaking. Okello did the same thing he’d always done back home: he kept his head down, he didn’t make trouble, and he just got on with his life. Rabble-rousing and protesting and whinging about fairness was for other people. Not everyone in Hogwarts agreed, of course; there are troublemakers everywhere. The Wizarding World seemed to have almost as many as the Muggle, although the fact they all had wands made them a little harder to ignore. Okello tried, though. And for years he succeeded: he built himself a neat, safe, happy little life where he didn’t have to deal with things like Death Eaters and Ministry raids and Dark Marks.
That changed the day he came home to find one of the latter hanging over his home, the lifeless body of his soon-to-be wife inside. Suddenly their happy life, all their plans for the future, were shattered and Okello was left adrift in a world — in two worlds — where he no longer had a place. He couldn’t leave magic behind and go live with his Muggle relations, the way he and his fiancée had talked about. It would’ve been easy, with them both being muggleborns. But leaving the Wizarding World without her would mean leaving behind his memories of her, of all the places they had shared, too. But staying here surrounded by reminders of the woman he’d loved — of the life he had lost — was no better. Eventually Okello realized there was only one way to live in this world without her: to fight for it.
Okello didn’t know how to get in touch with the vigilante group that was causing the Death Eaters such fits — didn’t even know their name. But he hadn’t spent a lifetime keeping his head down without learning how to do the opposite. How to be noticed. So he made himself visible. Made himself a target. The only question was who would find him first. And if that happened to be the Death Eaters, well, at least he could take a few of them with him before the Dark Mark indicating his corpse’s resting place rose into the sky. It wasn’t as though he had anything left to live for. Fortunately, it was the Order who came and with the Order, Okello has found a new reason to live. Not love; that was lost to him. But friends, allies? People he can fight beside, can rage beside? That, he has, and it’s good. But is there any point in holding himself to the moral standards of the man he’ll never be again? Maybe it’s time — past time — for the Order to take the Dark into their own hands. Maybe if someone had done that sooner, his wife would still be alive. Maybe it’s time to make sure nobody else dies in this war... except the enemy, of course. Every last one of them.
CONNECTIONS.
WILA TRAVERS. They were in the same year, the same house, in school. That doesn’t mean Okello ever expected to have anything in common with this wealthy witch from an old magical family — but now they’re more than just on the same side. They’re here for the same reason: revenge. He’s never felt as though he understands someone this much, this quickly - even his fiancée. If he wasn’t so numb he’d probably feel guilty. ZINNIA TURPIN. They’re both new to the Order — sort of. Zinnia was here before, but doesn’t remember much of it, so doesn’t that sort of put them on a level playing field? Okello knew her in school, but they didn’t really know one another. She’s here now, though, and is willing to fight, which means she’s a friend of sorts. If friend means on the same side, anyway. He hopes she’ll eventually remember who cursed her — so he can kill them.  GLENDA CHITTOCK. He’s not sure why she’s here, to be honest. She has power from the famous people in her life and could coast through this war with her head down if she wanted. But he’s certainly glad she is. Her radio show led him to the Order — well, led him to the idea of it. He’d been listening, realized it was more than just music, and it had pushed him towards seeking the group — towards making himself a target, hoping they’d show. He owes her one.
OKELLO IS OPEN.
**Note: Okello has not yet joined the Order. Upon an acceptance, a plot drop will occur which will allow him into the organization.
Any applicant should include information regarding Okello’s fiancée in their application; the admins will then do a “npc bio” for the deceased character. The fiancée can be of any gender.

NEXT MEETING: MONDAY, JULY 02, 1984
Held late into the night as per usual to allow for workers to attend after their normal jobs have completed, the next full member Order meeting begins at 10 o’clock in the evening. Led by Alastor Moody, Hestia Jones, and Caradoc Dearborn, this meeting is mainly informational in nature.
Hestia begins by giving the report on her and James Potter’s recent larceny mission in which they successfully obtained information on recent injuries treated at St. Mungo’s Hospital, much to Evan Rosier’s indignation. James was detained by Ministry officials, but was able to avoid doing time in Azkaban due to Alice Longbottom and Alastor. Despite this setback, the mission is deemed successful. The information will be used to compare recent hospital visits with the injuries the Order caused towards Death Eaters in Liverpool in hopes of identifying some Death Eaters.
Caradoc then takes over the meeting to inform members of several new interorganizational task forces that will begin in the coming days, now that the majority of injuries are healed from the previous mission:
THE MUGGLEBORN TASK FORCE.
The Muggleborn Task Force sprouted from the last mission to get the muggleborn children and their families to safety. Lily Evans has been appointed the leader, as she has already been working on her own to assist families as she’s been able to for years. The objective of the task force is to recognize those families and wix in most danger from the Death Eaters and allow them an opportunity to leave Britain with Order support. New Muggle identification documents and a place to live will be provided by this task force. This is purely optional for families, but the risk of staying should be obvious.
Members working underneath Lily:
Dorcas Meadowes
Nicky Edgecombe
Amelia Bones
The Muggleborn Task Force will be overseen by Hestia Jones for any assistance needed.
THE AMULET EXPANSION.
Created by Remus Lupin, the communication amulet was utilized in a trial run during the previous mission and deemed successful. The expansion of these artifacts has been given the all clear and the amulet team will work to give each Order member a piece of jewelry that allows for communication. The objective is for short messages to be able to appear on these artifacts for quicker connection within field teams. The amulets only work within a limited range and can only support a few connections at a time, so they will need to be re-charmed prior to each mission.
Members working underneath Remus:
Wila Travers
Emma Vanity
Pandora Malfoy
The Amulet Expansion will be overseen by Caradoc Dearborn for any assistance needed.
THE TATTOO OBJECTIVE.
Alastor reports the last bit of information to the Order:
After a meeting with Dirk Cresswell, who brought to Hestia and Alastor several ideas that will be put into action, it was decided to study the Dark Mark that was discovered at the previous debriefing meeting. The objective is to understand this brand — how it works, the design, and the communication factor. Robyn Lynch has been chosen to lead this team, as her work with the Department of Mysteries will likely prove valuable.
“Volunteers” to have their Dark Mark be studied are:
Severus Snape
Theodosia Selwyn
Regulus Black
A second part of this objective is also discussed. Dirk’s idea is to use similar magic as the Death Eaters in order to better communicate with one another when distress occurs in any location. The objective is to provide tattoos to every willing member that will be linked together (like the Dark Mark) that will allow a distress signal to be sent to team leaders in headquarters during missions.
The hope is that, when touched with certain intent, the team lead’s tattoo will warm and darken, indicating assistance is needed on the other side. Once the team lead responds, they should be able to understand the location of the distressed and provide back up from other members. This magic is at the beginning stages and changes may need to be made as development continues.
Alastor informs members that the decision to get the tattoo is optional, though he discusses the potential benefits this would provide members. A clear example in most member’s minds is the captured four, who might have been rescued right away had this been in use eight months ago.
Resident tattoo-artist and creative Edgar Bones is put in charge of the development and design of the tattoos, along with the spellwork involved. Those working under him, as a start, will be:
Mundungus Fletcher
Regulus Black
It is very likely more help will be needed and members should consider what they might be able to provide Edgar.
The Tattoo Objective, at all stages, will be overseen by Alastor Moody for any assistance needed. The meeting concludes at 11:38 in the evening.
THE MAP DEVELOPMENT.
Ted Tonks, Edgar Bones, Reggie Cattermole, and Dirk Cresswell are asked to stay behind after the meeting’s closure to meet with Hestia, Alastor, and Caradoc.
Dirk is given the floor and he explains to Reggie, Edgar, and Ted about the development of a map he is working on. This map will be of the Ministry of Magic and will, in theory, consist of each floor. In addition to the basic structure, it will show and track both Order members and high-ranking Death Eaters by name, using the magic of the Order’s blood oath and the Death Eaters’ Dark Mark.
The objective is to both help track members when missions within the Ministry occur as the war continues to ramp up, along will confirming the identity of any Death Eaters working for the government. Names will appear in a similar fashion to the Muggle maps they’d used in the previous mission, and while the map will be unable to differentiate between Mark and Oath, since the Order knows their own people they will know that any unaffiliated name must be a Death Eater. Unfortunately, this will not be able to help find the spy, as no other Order member has a Dark Mark (at least as far as they know) as was proven during the previous meeting.
Dirk will lead the spellwork and expansion of the map, but Alastor asks Reggie to assist him.
Ted is tasked with the trial mission of drawing up blueprint plans of the Ministry’s Level 10 (courtrooms, rarely utilized day-to-day) and tracking the wards in order for Dirk and Reggie to plan around that during their mapping. Edgar should work under Ted on this mission, as his skill test that will allow him to continue in the ranks of fieldwork.
This information is strictly confidential. Members currently involved should use discretion in who they might discuss it with. If the completion of Level 10′s mapping is successful and the theory of the map works, then more members will be added to this project as more Ministry Levels are tested and blueprinted.
The mission portion of the Map Development will be overseen by Alastor Moody for any assistance needed. The spellwork and informational portion of the Map Development will be overseen by Hestia Jones for any assistance needed.
DETAILS.
This is an informational plot drop to allow for the initiation of these plots on the dash. As of this meeting, you may feel free to start the individuals plots, as well as react to those your characters are not a part of.
More members will be pulled in as time goes on, especially with the map developmental. After Ted and Edgar’s mission, we will begin to ask for volunteers for further two or three person paras as they continue mapping the Ministry levels. Remember: this is illegal and being caught will get your character arrested (just ask Potter!).
Please consider if your character(s) would get the tattoo, which tattoo design they’ll ask for (it should be Phoenix-related, but they do not all have to be the same) and which location they might get it in. Location should be easily accessed by intentional touch for the spellwork. We will have a mandatory character development at some point in the future surrounding this, once tattoos are ready to be implemented.
