Why I love reading...
The reason why I love reading books so much is that it helps me understand and feel understood.

I never really understood why I like reading so much. I just assumed it was natural something that didn't really have a deeper meaning about it. I get it now. I love reading because life just gets me down so far in a pit, so frequently enough, that I just have to escape. I have to believe in happy endings, and love, and true friendship, and the good in humanity because it's not often anymore that I see it first hand. I don't want anyone to believe I'm depressed or looking for attention. I'm not. I just finally get why reading is so absolutely beautiful to me. It gives me hope and makes me realize that maybe it's not time for my happily ever after yet. I don't always get what I want and I'm not always a happy person, but no one can take reading from me. No one can burn every book in the world and no one can kick me down so far to make me stop doing one of the only things I am passionate about and love deeply. I'm not the best blogger, I'm new. Even if I stop I'll still have reading. No amount of negativity can take that from me. And suddenly I feel so absolutely strong like I'm in control of my own life.
