you know how resurrected people in asoiaf get singularly obsessed with like one thing they were doing before they died so beric is obsessed with defending smallfolk from invaders and stoneheart is obsessed with revenge against the freys. i think it would be funny if jon came back and he was just tirelessly devoted to the same bland nights watch management as before. just murdering anyone who tries to tear him away from drafting architectural plans for a greenhouse or writing pointless letters. can i dwell on what i scarce remember? sometimes i think i was born on the floor of that stock room, counting barrels of turnips

Just wanna mention that I know I've been drawing a lot of angst and stuff, just cause I find it easier to draw than fluff lmao, but Wilbur will heal in time. That's like an absolute guarantee, even when Phil dies and even with everything he's been through. I won't let him just hurt forever. He'll be happy again

Say what you will about Martin's writing style (and I've said plenty) but I do think he's got the White Walkers' mythos worked out for a future book and IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO NICE IF THE SHOWRUNNERS HAD DONE 1/100TH OF THAT WORK SETTING THEM UP

Gus: I am mad all over again that there was absolutely zero explanation given as to why/how the Night King operates or how his powers work or why he chose now to attack or ANYTHING ELSE

Gus: on the plus side it means I get to make up a whole subplot that, not to brag, I'm comfortable saying is at least as good as anything D&D could've made up IF THEY HAD EVER EVEN BOTHERED

Gus: but like - okay so craster's infant sons get sacrificed to the Night King, who them magics them into White Walkers as babies

dean was a complete asshole to Jack in every way for so fucking long i think while watching every single damn episode they're in. i do not doubt that they care for one another, and that they love each other as father and son. i will never doubt that. and i understand it was for symmetry. john dean sam. dean sam jack. it is on purpose. but holy shit if i see one more fluffy fix-it that doesn't slightly acknowledge the shit they put each other through, the daddy issues that literal God has, etc etc i will shit myself.

the relationship between dean and jack is one of a parent and a child, one that is fraught, filled with anger resentment and love like every damn relationship in this goddamn stupid show. they have wronged each other and yet we are explicitly told (though not shown) they are still family, still love each other. because they don't know how to not.

and they deserved to hash out their issues. jack deserved to yell and kick and scream at dean for his lack of unconditional understanding that should be extended from every parent to every child, even if there is a blatant lack of forgiveness. they deserved to talk about mary past jack breaking down in 15x14, the punishment that was seen as "deserved" (it was not. no one deserves that).

they are so complicated and had such a good fucking set up and guess where that went??? no where!!!!

So last night, I was having one of my weird anxiety dreams. They often involve packing, either to move or for a trip, and airplanes (usually crashing, but for some reason it NEVER skips past the whole process of security, waiting, boarding, trying to stow my shit in the footwell, that's all part of the anxiety I guess). (The other common form of anxiety dream is zombies, which did not feature this time. I think. Probably.)

Today, the anxiety dream was "you have a trip tomorrow, someone other than you has scheduled the flight, and they WILL NOT TELL YOU what time the flight is". Like, every time I brought it up - which I did, repeatedly, with increasing intensity - they would just divert the conversation to another subject, or eventually just laugh at me and keep talking as if I hadn't said anything. So I was getting more and more anxious, because I didn't know how much time I had to pack and prepare and when I needed to get to the airport, and getting more and more angry, and...

I wanted to punch this person. But, for some reason, in that dream we were riding in a car. They were in the front passenger seat. I was in the back seat right behind them. And I didn't have any room to hit them the way I wanted to, so... what I did. What I did. Was lean forward over the front seat back and bite their shoulder.

I felt skin under my mouth, and I distinctly remember thinking, "ah, good, I can bite them REAL good". And then I woke up with teeth indentations in my forearm.

I'd been sleeping on my stomach with my head pillowed on my arms. One of my wrists was right under my mouth. I bit myself awake.
