Sarah just recently finished rewatching LOST for the millionth time and couldn't help feeling a little bit inspired. I know it's kind of an older show considering it wrapped up like 13 years ago now, but it's such a beautiful show. It has and always hold a special place in my heart.

(Another annoying TV post) Ten years since Lost ended. Another unspeakably formative experience in terms of inspiration. I remember begging my mum to let me watch the season one finale on a school night in 2006, which she did. My dad and I watched it lying on the floor with our mouths open. So many wonderful memories, especially watching the final episode live with America in the early hours (see second picture!) It was a dream to watch. For those of you who have known me personally as a friend for 6+ years (very few of you), you'd know I used to be an avid bike rider that did day long rides, 10 centuries, and rode 20+ miles every day for two years. To professionals, that's nothing trust me. I never wanted to be a professional though. It started out as a way to save money on gas and quickly spiraled (or morphed, whatever) into something that enraptured my entire day to day life. I was a ""cyclist"" but not one at the same time. It was my world besides writing. Then one day, I wasn't as socially awkward anymore, so I decided to join the early 20s crew (which ain't a bad thing). My Jobs got in the way, also dating. You know what I mean. I Still always ran every morning, but my bike fell into disrepair and collected dust in my garage for the past three years. I'll tell you something, saying the words to someone "Yeah, I used to ride, but..." To me is very fucking embarrassing when I always bragged I'd never stop. Lately, life has presented a very nice new opportunity. The warm weather is coming for one, And I've somehow landed work that doesn't consume my energy but somehow pays the bills too (those jobs exist I promise). Today after I got home, I dug out my bike that was in the darkest dustiest corner of my garage. I pulled it out half expecting it to just fall apart. I grabbed my good ol' Cannondale tire pump; looking as if it was recovered from a shipwreck, and filled the tires. By some miracle, the damn thing is fine. I cleaned it up and just did my first ride in three years. It's like I never stopped. Hills around Brookfield were still nothing. Almost got run over several times on route seven, classic. But 18 miles. Looped up then down then back through three towns.
