Okay uh FONIB the big bang fic, I'm not sure exactly what is the most exciting part to tell you guys about. I think the most interesting part about it will be that in this specific version of MegOP, it's post war and Megatron is the one who hunts Orion down while he's in exile and tries to pick fights about shit. Basically Megatron is trying to reignite his rivalry with Orion because (slight spoilers) it's the only thing he has left after the war is over, but Orion has literally moved on? So instead of Megatron having that connection with OP, OP literally just looks at him and is like "you are so fucking pathetic and you're just annoying me, can you talk to me without acting like a weirdo or trying to fight me" and Megatron does not handle this well because uh. He is trying to escape the mortifying ordeal of being known and acting as if he's perfectly fine, but also there's no war to frame his interactions with OP and OP sees right through Megatron's attempts at a violent, homoerotic rivalry.

Basically this is the "Megatron is so pathetic" MegOP scenario and I'm so excited about it because Megatron IS pathetic and. And I feel like there are too many fics where people write him as being so smart and foresighted when it's like. No this guy literally lives for war and killing and once he can't justify bloodshed to himself what does he have? Nothing. Drag his ass.

Also, I'm glad you like my title ideas because honestly? Most of the time I completely fucking wing them, about half the time I just title fics with the first random title that comes to mind (generally just for the PWP and other one-shots that aren't that important) and the other half of the time I just pick some random song lyric or poem line or ask my beta reader for a suggestion.

I think the main reason some of my fic titles slap is just because I have a really good eye for picking lines/poems/etc that thematically fit what the story is about. My favorite ones in particular are WATMM and how the entire story is basically framed around the story told by the titular poem. PUE for the way that I was able to title drop the fic in one of Optimus' speeches and the way that ties into the whole theme of forgiveness in the story. And that one sub-chapter of PUE called "Dulce et decorum est" which is a reference to a famous WWI-era poem about the horrors of war because of how well it reflects the plot. I also like NATP and EATP as companion pieces because I think the change from "not according to plan" to "exactly according to plan" is very cheeky and cute and just fitting in a very simple way.

Within my time on the internet from about 2005 to now. If the limited view rate for Twitter is permanent. This might be the 2nd most evil corporate thing I have seen that's net related on an external level. WHICH isn't to downplay that cause a lot of evil shit has happened. The only thing I can remember that's fucking worse was when Photobucket put images hostage behind a $100 USD a month paywall. That was bad. But outside of the unhinged shit with Something Awful and whatever the fuck is going on at WATMM, I have never seen a social media or internet message board get paywalled to this level. If Elon's goal is to tempt people to get on Twitter Blue, I serious hope his plan doesn't work.

The most obvious theme that I see in your work is around forgiving the unforgivable (in yourself, in others, in society) and learning to trust. I especially love the whole bit around societal forgiveness in PUE in the SG universe, but there is also pretty much the whole of As One, and the Megatron/Optronix arcs in PUE/COYC (and as you describe it in SRMW though I've evidently not seen that), and Orion (and Megatron now I come to think about it) in WATMM/AEFMB. TOMW is going to be really interesting on the trust front too.

Then there is power/control and hubris/nemesis - scattered all through the silly/sexy stuff in ways that make one think later (you so frequently paint dropping control as a good thing both ways in NATP-verse, for example, and there is M-as-rifle being cared for in Cooling Off); and more clearly in some of the serious stuff (PUE Optronix clinging desperately to his conception of power and his control over the decay of his frame, for example). Certainly that is partly a function of choosing to write IDW MegOP in whatever variants, but then who you write about is necessarily part of what you write. No-one would suggest that a biographer's focus on people with a particular set of characteristics wasn't a theme of their work.

There are others, but the last of the really big dramatic ones I see is a sort of grim hope that's a partial inversion of the Macbeth I am in blood stepped in so far... - the idea that keeping on going through some terrible necessity will really get us to a better place in the end. (Which now I think of it is odd, and you may find it insulting, because I know you are a very strong believer in ends not justifying means - but it is there for me.) Thinking for example of Orion in AEFMB, or absolutely everyone in PUE, or Megatron in the M/Z stuff, or the whole arc and ending of WATMM.

Finally - not a theme so much as a thing I think you do well - the day-to-day negotiation of living with other people and/or leading them. It's all through NATP and AEFMB, of course, but also as a failed example (in both elements) in the M/Z fics and as a beginning of hope in PUE, and it's clearly going to be a thing in TOMW. Of all of the things in your fics - that is the one I suspect is most useful to your readers, because it's the one that has the clearest parallels to daily life.
