Not to get deep here or anything but i really think i dont want to have a relationship with my sister anymore and ive been reflecting on that a lot. like sure she didnt abuse me or really do anything to directly traumatize me, but she voted against me having human rights because im queer, as well as voting for a party that wants to harm first nations people despite both of us being first nations i just.... i dont think i can forgive her for that. weve had laughs and good times together but i find myself unable to forgive her for her politics. i wouldn't tolerate bigotry from anyone else, i shouldnt tolerate it from someone just cause theyre family.

If you think my support for Palestine = antisemitism you are not very smart. You’re actually fucking stupid. If you see the statistics of this genocide and cry “it’s antisemitism!” Or you take “Israel is a settler colonial state and needs to be dismantled” as “massacre the Jews lol” not even a brain grown in a lab by expert scientists for the sole purpose of filling the cavity in your skull can save you and it sure as all hell can’t save you from the fucking bullshit conditioning you grew up under (that you have to save yourself from).
Taking “giving Palestine back to its indigenous landowners” as “we are going to violently kick out the people who presently live in Israel” is not only disgustingly inaccurate but is also the exact same shit that racists say about Landback over here on Turtle Island. Landback is the reversal of colonialism, not the continuation of it. Dear lord why the fuck does this have to be spelled out.
There are antizionist Jews. There ar Palestinian Jews. There is an entire coalition of antizionist Jews, with a site FULL OF INFORMATION, including about Zionism, readily available. Can’t put links cos I’m on mobile right now but it takes one google search to find Jewish Voice For Peace.
And also, the phrase “from the river to the sea” is OLDER THAN HAMAS. This I’m not even gonna bother citing a source for because it’s so surface level it’s on fucking WIKIPEDIA as the first thing to pop up on google which is as surface level as it gets.
There are absolutely people who are jumping at the opportunity to be antisemitic. That I’m not doubting. But trust me, TRUST ME, if you’re in the right circles and have the brain capacity to detect an Actual Nazi you shouldn’t even have to look at them. That doesn’t mean that it’s a nonissue, it absolutely has to be addressed and it is being addressed by many people already. BUT. Generalizing the entire antizionist movement as “neonazis” is fucking reductive, general and frankly disgusting because of just why so many people are antizionists in light of recent events. You have a toddler level black and white association and it shows agonizingly. And, ergo, THERE ARE ANTIZIONIST JEWS.
Dear fucking lord I’m so angry and I’m so fucking tired. God fucking dammit. There’s more I want to say but I am so close to just throwing my phone at the wall.

My mom had three abortions in her life. The first one was an illegal procedure arranged by her parents who were prostituting her out for political favors (in the US military, in the 60s). She was lucky it was even an option. Her other two were while she was married to her first husband, who was abusive. She knew she couldn't have kids with him, couldn't put a child through what she went through.
Later, at 39 and 41, married to my father, she had two daughters. She had issues but was able to raise us in a stable household with love and resources. Was able to send us to good schools. My dad is a loving, gentle person. My mom's abortions gave my sister and I a wonderful, beautiful life of opportunity.
My sister had an abortion at 26. She had been contemplating breaking up w her boyfriend of 3 years and found out she was pregnant. It was quick and easy, no issue. They broke up 6 months later.
She's now living in Scotland, dating a wonderful person, and is quickly becoming a well known artist who just won a major grant from the National Gallery.
I had an abortion when I was 20. I had just started dating my boyfriend, I was living with 12 people, taking drugs, going to concerts, in my sophomore year of college. I was lucky enough to catch it early but my state had laws about how it was done. I was humiliated and in tremendous pain for weeks, my bf and I almost broke up, but I recovered and we never once regretted it.
I've been married to that same guy for 7 years now (together for 14 years). We have an absolutely gorgeous 6 month old that we planned for and deeply wanted. We live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood. I work from home and am able to provide that baby with every opportunity and all the love in the world. More importantly, I've grown as a person so I am able to be a caring, attentive mother in a way 20 year old me couldn't have imagined.
I don't really care about making a grand point. I can't share this story with anyone on my irl socials because I value my privacy (and my husband's family would excommunicate us). But this is deeply personal for more women than you know. I don't think this is some grand conspiracy to keep women subservient, at least not at scale, and most people don't agree w this decision. Change is still possible and losing hope would be the worst outcome.
Never forget: Good lives, good outcomes, and good citizens are made by abortion.

is your candidate for President of the USA not a RAPIST of women and girls?
Tumblr media
please, think very hard before voting for a person who could have raped your mom, your sister, or your daughter, and who calls it his prerogative as a "celebrity"
LET'S NOT PUT A RAPIST IN THE WHITE HOUSE, AGAIN

having a wretched relationship with ur mother is really just constantly riding a pendulum between "oh god am i being too mean" and "i am absolutely not being mean enough"
