The Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton in the tv show Smash

Before Hamilton was on Broadway there was a Musical tv show called Smash. And I noticed a bunch of cast members of Hamilton were in there. So some cast member might have knows each other before Hamilton. Here's a list of every original cast member of Hamilton who played in Smash.

Lin-Manuel Miranda (Alexander Hamilton)

He made an Guest appearence as himself in the episode "The Transfer" (2x15).

Phillipa Soo (Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton)

Phillipa had a small recurring role in Smash as Lexi, who appeared in Hit List. She appeared in five episodes: "The Dress Rehearsal" (2x11), "The Producers" (2x13), "The Phenomenon" (2x14), "The Transfer" (2x15) and "The Tony's" (2x17).

Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr)

Leslie Odom Jr. had a main role in both season of Smash. He played the role of Sam Strickland. He appeared in 23 out of 32 episodes.

Voltaire is a swing and dance captain for the Broadway production of Hamilton. He has been with Hamilton since it premiered at the Public Theatre in 2015. As a swing, Voltaire is capable of covering any male ensemble track. As a dance captain, he maintains the artistic standards of all choreograph, working alongside the Stage Manager (Cody Richard) and co dance captain (David Guzman). Voltaire also made his Broadway debut with Hamilton. He also appeared in the television show Smash and in a regional theater production of In the Heights.

Voltaire often live tweets particularly important shows including major cast member departures and is very interactive with fans (he will tweet you back!). He loves street art and hip hop.
