Behold! A gem OC!
I learned about Vivanites and just had to make this. She was formed specifically for the first gem war, Vivanites were responsible for collecting gem shards for homeworld experiments.
-gem weapon is a basket for carrying shards, could possibly be used as an ineffective shield (?)
-in service to Yellow Diamond.
-her team mostly scoured battlefields after they were empty, some daring Vivanites would jump in the fray so they could accurately tell which shards were of crystal gems and which weren’t.
-she’s easily poofable, wasn’t meant to see combat.
-to ensure that Vivanites would make their way back with shards, a significantly damaged Vivanite could potentially grow on an organic corpse and use it as a puppet. This is a last resort, though, since once it’s done it’s near impossible to undo.
-after a while crystal gems began catching on and would ambush Vivanites when they came out to scour for shards. Because of this, the later batches had knives as well as baskets, and were more sturdy. This one was not one of those.

any Gems that you think might have ice/snow powers?
Hm, how about these gemstones? Some are birthstones from winter months. While others are what kind of gems I could find that talked about their association with water/ice, or have colors/patterns that resemble snow, ice, or winter. I also included a few gemstones that come from colder countries/states as their main mining source.
Agate (Agates are quartzes- specifically a variety of Chalcedony- that come in a variety of colors, including blues and whites. Lace agates- especially blue or white lace agate can look like snow drifts.)
Anglesite (A clear to white gem that looks icy.)
Anhydrite/Angelite (A mineral that can be a nice wintry blue.)
Anorthite (A rare member of the Feldspar family, which includes Labradorite and Moonstone. It is often in white or clear coloration.)
Aragonite (A mineral that comes in various colors, including clear, white, or blue. The formations its crystals form in can often look icy in one way or another.)
Barite (It is also a mineral that comes in blues and whites. Its crystal form looks like ice pillars or sheets.)
Calcite (A mineral that can be clear or white, often looking like snow or ice.)
Celestine (Another white to blue gem with icy colors. Some of it resembles sheet ice or glaciers.)
Cerussite (A beautiful mineral that often forms in unique looking crystals. The crystals often look like pieces of snowflakes or ice!)
Chalcedony (A type of quartz that is smooth and elegant looking. It can be in various colors, like white or blue. Its white druzy form looks like snow as well.)
Colemanite (A clear to white icy looking mineral. It can develop an electric charge with temperature change, so it could potentially have ice powers and electric powers in one.)
Cryolite (A white colored mineral. Its name comes from the greek word for frost because of its appearance. And it is often mined in Greenland.)
Dumortierite Quartz (A type of clear quartz with inclusions of Dumortierite. It’s sort of like a gem snow globe with the blue inclusions~)
Fluorite (A gemstone that comes in many different colors, including blues and whites, as well as clear.)
Garnet (Birthstone of January. Page has some examples of different types of garnets.)
Hemimorphite (A pretty blue mineral that can range from blue-green, to light blue, to white. It can form in orb like shapes, or in crystals that look like icy pillars.)
Ice, and its various forms. (Technically ice counts as a mineral because its fits the requirements to be a mineral.)
Iceland Spar (A clear type of Calcite found in Iceland.)
Kernite (A pretty white to clear mineral that looks icy.)
Kyanite (A blue to light blue gem, sometimes with white streaks. It is a gemstone associated with water. It is also a refractorymineral, meaning it is heat resistant- a good trait for a gem based on cold powers.)
Labradorite (A gemstone found in Labradore, Canda, as well as places like Finland or Norway. It is heavily associated with the northern lights, which are usually seen in colder areas close to the poles. It is also associated with the water element. These factors make it a good candidate for snow and ice powers.)
Moonstone (A well known white to blue gemstone, its colors can resemble the moon or a shimmering snowflake. A star Moonstone could work extra well, especially with six rays, as it could resemble a snowflake.)
Muonionalusta (A silvery mineral found in Scandinavia, it’s zigzagging lines slightly resemble the designs of snowflakes under the microscope.)
Mica/Muscovite (A fragile mineral that forms in sheets. It is often shiny, and forms in hexagonal shapes, much like snowflakes.)
Opal (Opals can come in a huge variety of colors and appearances; the page linked shows some varieties that can occur. A white to blueish color opal could likely have ice or snow based powers, and the rainbow diffraction can resemble diamond dust in some examples. Inclusions like in this opal can also create a neat, snow-like effect)
Opalite (Man-made glass that displays opalescence. It could be a gem with ice/snow powers for similar reasons as Opal.)
Phenakite (A mineral that has clear crystals, some of which can heavily resemble ice.)
Sapphire (Sapphires in the show has shown ice powers.)
Selenite (A type of Gypsum. It can come in clear to white coloration. It can resemble ice or snow in some forms.)
Silver (A shimmering metal, its silvery color and ornamental usage throughout history makes it an elegant mineral and potentially a good candidate for snow and ice powers. Its crystalline form is also resembles many ice crystals.)
Smithsonite (A mineral that can come in many colors, especially blues and a wintery green. It can also be white to clear colored. Its smooth, rounded surface can look like snowballs or soft snow.)
Snow Quartz (An alternate name for Milky Quartz.)
Strontianite(A pale colored to white mineral, its crystals can look like ice or ice crystals.)
Tanzanite (Alternate birthstone for December.)
Tourmaline (Able to come in a vast variety of colors, including blue and white. Blue Tourmaline is often associated with water, which could be used as a basis for ice/snow powers.)
Turquoise (Birthstone of December.)
Vivanite (Normally a green color, but it can be clear and blue.
I hope this suits your needs!

Hi! Your blog is so helpful 🤣 I just wanted to ask if a cobaltite and a roselite would make a erythrite? Or what two gems could make erythrite? Please and thank you!
That sounds like a solid combination. But in case you need other possible combinations for an Erythrite, here’s some suggestions that could also work; in the vein of mix and match:
Blue Vivanite
Rhodolite
Tourmaline (especially red, blue, and/or purple varieties)
Muscovite
Lawsonite
Apatite
Inesite
Halite
Hope that helps!
