And the great big house in the country, which Digory had heard of all his life and never seen would now be their home; the big house with the suits of armor, stables, the kennels, the river, the park, the hot-houses, the vineries, the woods, and the mountains behind it.

It is mead bottling day but someone (me) forgot to get enough wine bottles for this 3 gallon batch, so while I scramble around town to home brew stores, here it is. What started out as a lower gravity strawberry hibiscus vanilla mead, now also has blueberries bc after an early taste, the strawberries weren’t very flavorful. And after the initial fermentation, it didn’t have enough oomph, so I added more honey. So it’s a Frankenstein mead, which is honestly kind of how I do everything over here. But besides the mead, can you see my grape leaf/Greek key planters in the background? They’re huge and I think I want to try to grow some grapes in them. Can you grow grapes in planters? And is Texas too hot for grapes? Tell me your grape growing experiences, oenophile witches.

This 360-degree panoramic photo was taken in the vineyard of Dr Herman Schotte, a retired paediatrician who practices biodynamic viticulture together with his wife, close to the Kemmelberg.

Delicium !

5th March 2024
The evening started with everyone unsure who was coming, so the nine players present split into three groups of three, with Blue, Pine and Lime starting with the “Feature Game“. This was the very short, light, Make the Difference, a game that is basically “spot-the-difference” in board game form.  The idea is that each player gets a pre-printed picture and simultaneously add five extra “features”…
