The colourful mountain is that Rainbow mountain in Perú (I believe it's Perú). I was so fascinated when I first saw the photo I used for reference. It truly is something amazing 🩷
In which mountain system can you find Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain?
Vinicunca, Montaña Arcoíris (Rainbow Mountain), is a mountain in the Peruvian Andes. It is 5,200 metres (17,100 ft) above sea level and is located to the southeast of the city of Cusco.
According to the Cultural Landscape Office of the Decentralization of the City of Cusco, the mountain is made up of several colours due to its mineralogical composition. The pink colour is caused by red clay, whilst the whitish colouring is due to quartzose, sandstone and calcium carbonate. The red is due to claystones; the green is due to phyllites; the earthy brown is a product of fanglomerate; and the mustard yellow colour comes from the calcareous sandstones.

A7 III - Tamron 28-200 KF Concept magnetic filters www.deviajeconmigo.com
Peru is a land of dozens of glorious mountains and peaks. But one of my personal favourites from what I’ve researched is Vinicunca, or Montaña de Siete Colores.
Unsurprisingly, the beautiful stripes of colour are due to its unique mineral composition. The pink part comes from red clay dialuted with mud and sand; the white comes from a mix of quartz and sandstone (full of calcium deposits); the red is from the presence of iron oxide in the clay from the Upper Tertiary period; the green comes from phyllites; and the ochre yellow is a product of calcareous sandstones rich in sulphur.

Hiking through some isolated communities, in which you may interact with the local's who are still keeping the culture alive! You’ll see snow capped peaks, herds of llamas, glaciers and turquoise lakes, all set within an incredibly colourful mountain range.
The trek is one of the quietest in the region it is likely you will not see another trekker.
The trek offers a selection of wildlife including soaring condors, vicunas, bobcats and pumas. The colourful sandstone mountains in the Vinicunca area is probably the coolest thing you’ll see in Peru.
