Excited to share the latest addition to my #etsy shop: Vertex Rollerball Pen - Venetian Gothic Inlay This was probably one of the very first wooden inlay pens I ever did. From an artistic side, it remains one of my favorites. From the simple clean lines of the hardware to the Gothic arches of the inlay, it's just a classic beauty. The body is a solid wood construction. Dyed in a pressure pot and then cut on a CNC laser. The pieces are then assembled like a jigsaw puzzle and glued together. The final assemble is shaped on the lathe by hand before receiving 15+ coats of protective clear coat and polished to a glass like finish. I ended up liking this pen so much that I decided to keep one in stock. There's just something so playful and cheery about these little guys. The body is a solid piece of box elder dyed green. Then each of the ladybug parts are dyed and assembled like a jigsaw puzzle before being turned and finished with 15-20 coats of protective clear coat. I've always had a certain interest and appreciation for the Day of the Dead and the beautiful art most commonly associated with it. So if you're the type of person that uses words like "cultural misappropriation", just keep scrolling. Bring a word turner, I tend to gravitate more towards more subdued earth tones. I can't help but love the bright colors of this sugar skull pen. I feel a little bit cheery every time I see it. And it's a rollerball ink refill, so it writes as beautifully as it looks. Excited to share the latest addition to my #etsy shop: Vertex Rollerball Pen - Antique Car While I can appreciate a beautiful classic car as much as anyone, I have t9 admit that I wasn't sure about making this pen at first. I'm glad I did though. The Vertex style pen is a nice, uncomplicated pen with clean lines. The magnetic cap really adds to the cool factor. The magnet is strong enough that you'll never have to worry about the cap coming lose...unless maybe you wear it while riding in a motocross rally. Not really sure what would have to happen for a scenario like that to unfold, but whatever... Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yes, Vertex pen...ahem. I then apply between 15-50 coats of protective clear coat that really adds to the depth of color and detail and makes the whole thing shine like glass.
