i got this ask by someone some time ago that i made a post about and sent to queue, and now its gone for some reason :)))) im so fucking mad jesus christ. i dont remember who submited the ask (if ur reading this, thank u so much!!!), but they requested me to draw venice the mink, silver's early desing(s)

Going over Silver's wiki because i was looking at a sonic frontiers Silver mod but before that i was looking for Dash Adventure mod because i remembered a bunny sonic mod for sonic adventure 2 cause i was 60% sure it existed and i didn't just make it up and i was thinking about Silvers concept and wanted to know if he was actually named Venice before he was Silver so i went to his WIKI

here are some interesting things i found about Silver the general public probably doesn't know

According to the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection interview with Sega developer Shun Nakamura, Silver's abilities were originally designed for a different action game with the character not meant to make an appearance.[12] During the development of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) in 2005, another action game Sonic Team developed, yet later canceled, named Fifth Phantom Saga featured core gameplay mechanics that focus on the use of abilities similar to Silver's.

What was Fifth phantom???????? WHAT WAS IT??

Early drafts describe Silver as having "special powers" of unknown origin drawn from the Chaos Emeralds, but this was rejected in the final game.

The design team developed over fifty different concepts for the character before reaching his final look,[9] where early sketches included a hedgehog-like animal wearing a futuristic headset and markings on its hair.

From this idea, the team pursued the idea for a mink named "Venice" (ヴェネツィア?), after Venice in Italy, the place Soleanna is based on.[9][13] However, the developers ultimately decided against this, fearing a mink would not blend in with the rest of the characters.

What do you mean a mink wouldn't fit in??? also naming him Venice because Soleanna is based on italy and making Silver cannonly italian is something i would have loved to see

The Color Wheel Challenge with Sonic characters using my redesigns!

One with shading and lightning, one with only shading, one with only lightning, and one without either.

And if you're wondering who orange and green characters are they are my OCs, Venice the Mink (orange) and Ashura the Dingo (green).

Venice the Mink was the guardian the Master Quartz, the Order / Sol Dimension's Master Emerald equivalent, but left their duty to one of their siblings. They have Faunakinesis specifically Terrestriakinesis, manipulation of land animals and they love wolves.

Ashura is the result of the Ultimate Lifeform Project. They were made to cure aging and to advance regenerative capabilities and evolution through shapeshifting. Ashura was genetically modified to become an organ donor, meaning that they could regenerate and duplicate any organ with ease. They cannot feel pain and are able to remove extra organs from their own body by themselves. Ashura can replicate the internal and external body parts of any species, human, mobian, or otherwise. They also have O Negative blood type. They have minor Biokinesis and major Cháokinesis.
