My Current Tangled the Series Character Rigs and what they CAN and CANNOT do! (plus what I plan to change about them)
All of these rigs were created by me using the original show as reference with the main goal of learning and improving my animation skills! They were all made with Vectors using standard vector art and rigging techniques.
First of all (which is actually the latest cause we're moving in reverse)...
HAMUEL!
My plan with him is to be able to do a full turn! Am I over judging my capabilities? DEFINITELY! But it's through failures we learn so I shall try.
For flight I believe I'm going to need to create separate open wings, but I'll figure that one out!
Secondly...
LADY CAINE!
She's my most advanced human one and there was a lot of cool stuff accomplished here!
I'm not done with her.... I can fix her.
Third up...
ZHAN TIRI (Demon Form)
I seriously messed up rigging her legs/tentacles and am not sure if that's fixable... The other stuff are easy fixes! And I have actually given her some varied expressions for an animation, only I did so manually using frame per frame animations rather than making use of rigging so...
Forth on the list...
Rapunzel! (With short hair and only shoulders and head)
CAN ALSO DESTROY YOU:
Using a variety of methods that look way better animated than as single frames xD
Next up:
Cassandra!
She can also probably destroy you...
The final human puppet but not final puppet!
Eugene Fitzherbert
Okay... He used to be able to do more, some very basic lip syncing and expressions as well as the smoulder as long as that was the LAST thing he did in an animation... But he was the first human I did so there were so many mistakes! I need to re-do him fully, no adding, no editing, full makeover for Eugene coming up!
Finally, the first puppet I ever made!
Owl!
And that's all!
Learning animation through this method is a lot of fun, it's so useful to have a huge source of references allowing me to concentrate on the technical side of things!
This is moving from newest to oldest and I think you can see an improvement?
I plan to make more of these, rework a lot of old ones as well!
If you haven't seen any of these in action, you can find a bunch of examples under animation on my blog!
A huge thanks to everybody who's offered up advice as vector art I may be familiar with but vector animation is still pretty new to me!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you make your lineart so nice, clean, and not pixelated? Your art and animations are incredible btw 👌👌❤️❤️
Thank you!
I use big ass canvases!
As you can see, smaller details still look a bit crunchy, but they will be okay once you zoom out to view the whole image.
Alternatively, maybe drawing with vectors in CSP would be useful for clean lines?
