Hey Ya’ll - Zine Contest FunStuff

@bnhavillaindeku-zine’s costume contest. Be sure to check out their shop as well, and the pre-orders post !~

First things first, I am super excited for the bnha villian deku zine! Second thing, this home girl cannot draw shoes and only half colored stuff cuz I was not happy with my color skillz with Medibang plus it was almost midnight so….outlining, is that cheating? Either way! I had fun with this. Please do not mind the word vomit or vague details on the sketch. : )

Anyway, so the items: Certain things like the color of items is simply cause Izuku likes it. The bright red shoes/gloves, the bright green mint fluffy vest, etc. Now, the colors for the pants intermittenly between gray or dark green, honestly it just depends on what Izuku -wants- to choose that day. What rule says that his choices have to be stagnant? No one. He has the freedom to choose whatever he pleases.

Now Morals: Izuku is not black or white good vs evil. He’s not necessarily a ‘full-fledged’ villain despite the fact that he may toe (or tapdance repeatedly ) the line a few couple dozen times a week but if anything he would consider himself something ‘not really’ villain and something not-hero. Some people would say Vigilante but eh, he’ll digress.

Though, for sure Izuku is not a hero. At least the legal text-book term version of hero neither does he want to be there are to many rules, politics, media, hypocrisy and restrictions in place that makes the hero society warped in his head. Granted him being bias screws with the ‘hero-code’ anyway, whatever that is. Also the fact that he enjoys challenges rather intellectual or physical which blurrs that line even more.

As for The rabbit insignia - this goes back to his childhood and dealing with bullying. Being called a bunny was a insult from other kids. Obviously, they were the ones being stupid as the traits of an rabbits could be stubbornly awesome in a young Izuku’s mind- strong, quick, small but clever.

On a side note: It is a never-ending sense of amusement when he is brushed off by others as unassuming and harmless civilian teen during first impressions.

Ahhhhhhh I made a few of them bc they just kept pooling in my head. It’s kind of embarassing bc they go from “hmm yeah” to “im trying and failing” and justttttttttttttttttttttt wanted to made them and thats it lol.

The modern ninja.

Hoodie – A simple black hoodie. He wears a bullet-proof vest underneath it.

Pants – Loose fitting pants for mobility and just being comfortable.

Knee guards, arm guards and gloves – The three of them are police-standard. He got them from an actual police gear shop. They are pretty simple but useful.

Throwing knifes – He has a great bunch of them, was inspired by Stain to use them… and to mock him too.

Mask – It’s so totally not a mask, just a too long scarf that got mutilated once or twice. It has an awfully drawn smiley face that is supposed to be mocking All Might’s.

Boots – The only difference with the knee and arm guards is that he painted them red. He loved his red shoes, you see. They are pretty heavy, too.

Au background (or whatever this is)

A world where Izuku got tired of being treated like garbage and decided to take the matter onto his hands. At first, he was just a vigilante, leaving alone the heroes and having a little bit of hope that they were different. He was wrong. Once it became clear to him that most heroes where almost as bad as villains, he began to target heroes too.

He’s a sneaky rat. His tolerance levels went down to 0. This Izuku is aggressive, sassy and petty af. He’s done with everyone’s bullshit and the only person he tolerates at this point is his mother.

He might or might not be affiliated with the league. Maybe he doesn’t trust them much, but they are useful, too. (He might or might not have a quirk too.)

His costume mocks All Might, Eraserhead, Stain and the Police, bc he’s a lil shit.

He is always ready to fight and set the world on fire.

--------------- I think villain Izuku would go for a more useful oufit than a flashy, interesting one. (but at the same time i disagree with myself) sO The point in this suit was to make it out from stuff you can get from actual shops. I don’t know if it happens everywhere or my hometown is weird, but in here there are shops where you can get actual military gear, excluding the guns, ofc, but you can go full militar gear and it’s... a bit expensive but not too much. So i was thinking Izuku (or anyone, really) could do just that and nobody would bat an eye???

and even if they did, there are some places that cell construction gear and they work almost the same as military gear. U can get some nice and sturdy knee guards and it would be totally normal.

In this AU idk if Izuku is with the league or not, if he has a quirk or not, but i’m inclined to think he actually does both. And is a villain mostly out of spite and revenge.

The bartender. (aka the one i gave most though)

Hair – Gelled to the side and tamed to the best of his abilities.

Shirt – A normal white dress shirt. Has tons of them ironed and ready to use. Rolls the sleeves up so they don’t get stained or in the way.

Pants – A pair of black slacks. Has tons of them too, they are surprisingly comfy.

Shoes – Moccasins. All black and meticulously cleaned. They shine.

Appron – Part of the bar’s uniform. Nothing special.

Gloves – Black leather fire resistant gloves with red palms. Used to hide the scars in his hands. (I really liked V!D9 Izuku’s gloves, didn’t have the heart to change them)

Scars – Has a lot of them on his arms and back.

Background/whatever.

Midoriya Inko is dead. It was the heroes fault but no one would believe the ‘traumatized child’ it happened. Izuku is sent to a quirkless orphanage and develops a passive-aggressive personality. He makes a plan and starts working to make it reality. He’s never actually adopted, even if he does have some interviews, he’s just not interested. So he stays with the old man that takes care with of the orphanage and sees how the world is even crueler than he initially thought. The old man sees the way he is being silently consumed by his rage and hatred, tries to help but somehow they end up having similar ideals and turn into something like partners in crime. The old man says he’s “too old to actually give a damn”.

He opens a business with the old man’s help and the money left to him from his mother. It’s a simple café in the day and a bar in the night. It’s pretty small and totally average. The only thing that catches attention are two plates in the front door that say “Quirkless welcome” and “Uniforms not allowed”. He doesn’t allow anyone in uniform inside his business. No heroes, no villains, no police officers. Of course, people try to give him shit because of this but he knows the laws and that, legally speaking, he’s not doing anything wrong. Nobody can touch him.

Izuku is more like an informant type of villain. This doesn’t mean he can’t take care of himself, of course, your biggest mistake will ever be to underestimate him for his looks. He focuses on getting information and working it on how ever it favors him. He isn’t afraid of going against other villains nor heroes. Not even the League. It takes him some time but he manages to set up his own network, getting information on both heroes and villains. The first thing he does is to expose all the heroes that where involved with Inko’s death.

Nobody really knows he’s the one to get the information, though. They think he’s just The Bartender, the messenger. What could a useless, quirkless nobody do, anyways?

He takes his status of quirkless and uses it to his advantage with the best of his capabilities. Anything to fulfill his goal.

The worst kind of villain are those who actually use their brains, after all.

-------------------- Escentially, my entry on the “Villain Izuku with an actual suit” trope. Initially, i though of him being something like Kurogiri’s partner, they both would make plans and make sure no one mess up. But then i though “Izuku would be totally capable of doing this all on his own. He just needs the right motivation.” and what better motivation than hate and having nothing else to lose.

An i really like bartender’s outfits lol.

I also headcanon that this Izuku knows how to use an unexpected amount of fire arms. (guns, rifles, shotgus, etc) and would never hesitate to shoot a bih. But i didn’t have the time to draw him with them (guns are hard ot draw!!) so i’m just leaving it here :/, hoping it somehow counts.

This Izuku is actually quirkless, everything he does is thanks to his brain. He learned how to break apart both information and people. bC I THINK IZUKU COULD DO IMPRESSIVE THINGS WITH OR WITHOUT A QUIRK.

The Street fighter.

Hoodie – A green plain hoodie. Used to hide his body and just how buff he is.

Face mask – Cheap and with little probabilities of it falling off or untying.

Loose pants – Easy to move in.

Knee pads – For support and protection. They are just normal Knee pads.

Sneakers – A pair of comfy and durable sport sneakers. The little short absorption they have is good enough.

Bandages – His hands are bandaged in the same way of a boxer’s. He is seen with constant injures on his face because he is a street fighter. His arms are scarred because of fights too.

Hairstyle – Has an undercut and dyed hair. Usually, he dies the top black and leaves the roots green, sometimes dyes it all black. Changes them constantly so people won’t be able to relate him with Inko.

Bakcground:

Not much to say. I just wanted to draw him as a street fighter.

He ran away/got kidnapped at a not-so-young age (10-12???) Didn’t saw a reason to go back/didn’t want to be found so he learned how to fend for himself and fight. Works in an underground fight center as both a fighter and information broker. He’s fast on his feet, even without a quirk, and can pack a punch strong enough to knock someone out in seconds. Specializes in speed and precision. It’s better to know where to punch and how hard that just punching mindlessly.

Always parkour’s his way out of bad situations. The most frustrating villain/vigilante the police has dealt with. Has personal issues against Eraserhead because he’s the only one that can almost match his pace.

He’s part of another villain group and quirkless. He fights with only kicks, punchs and sTREET SMARTS(!!!!). Parkoúr is a thing. He probably breakdances too, bc he can. A kind of-free man living the live as a thug.

Idk what else to add here. Maybe just that i got inspired with the sneakers lmao lOOK AT THEM IM PROUD. they came out way better than i was expecting. The pose too, how did that even happened.

extremely last minute entry for @bnhavillaindeku-zine contest that i discovered about 5 hours before the deadline 8′D; at least according to my time zone (unspecified in the post itself so hopefully this counts hh)

details under a cut bc it’s very long LOL

i figured quirks are pretty science-y in canon, so why not raise the sci-fi a bit 8D?;; while not technically quirkless, in this au, deku’s quirk is more or less invisible and has no effect on its own... but (without getting too science-y) if a ‘quirk locus’ from another quirk user’s body is grafted/transplanted into him, his body will assimilate it. so basically it’s like AFO but surgical transplant edition, rather than ~Unspecified Purple People Eater~.

this deku works closely with shigaraki’s guys and a lot of his support, equipment, and medical comes from them. this deku never met all might or received OFA and being quirkless in such a quirk centric world led him to believe without quirks, society would be way better off. for him, the symbol of peace was still a childhood hero, but also a symbol of inequality. without quirks there would be no heroes, but there would be no villains anyway; a net gain considering everything.

AFO probably got a hold of him at some point around when he would have been mid-UA in canonverse and used deku (without really informing him) like an “innocent hostage” to lure and kill all might.

“the downfall of quirks can start here,” shigaraki tells deku, under AFO’s instruction.

deku has just woken up with all might’s massive arm replacing his right; it works the same as his real one but the graft site is a huge scar that doesn’t really heal right, even with medical quirk treatment. with it, he can use a limited version of OFA.

“i want all quirks to be gone,” he says. “and you guys have quirks too. so why..?”

~basically AFO and deku’s assimilation are the same power and they cooperate under similar goals, cuz the enemy of my enemy is my friend etc. he starts getting to know shigaraki squad. himiko in particular finds the idea of an eventual attempt at mutual murder very sexy. and so forth.

eventually his body won’t be able to maintain all these foreign grafts and he’ll die though. but if he can take all quirks with him, he’ll be happy with that.

A. extra large sleeves (moe-sode style courtesy of himiko). disguises the disproportionate arm he stole from all might, has small pockets on the inside of the sleeve end that can hold tools and stuff.

B. clothes are always baggy to keep whatever his latest graft is under wraps (literally). most of them bleed a lot initially, some of them never heal properly, so the bagginess helps hide and also prevent his blood being sampled by enemies. the inside of the sweater has a lot of pockets as well.

1. all might’s arm. while learning to use the limited OFA that came with it, he injured it pretty constantly the same way he does in canon, hence same scars.

2. weight bands to balance out all might’s arm on the other side since it’s very lopsided weight wise. in addition to evening the weight distribution, they’re placed to protect vitals on the arm and double as very hard & painful to be hit with.

3. muscle stimulators since his body isn’t used to having something like all might’s humungous arm on his shoulder/back muscles. they’re basically superstrong versions of the irl medical support. the shirt is more or less a tube top but its function is supporting the muscles around that side.

4. kind of like the top of a chinese-style outfit. the inside is padded with medicated compresses on the shoulder scar from all might’s arm graft and a smaller band over the throat does the same for the scar where his vocal chords were replaced with ones stolen from a voice-type quirk user. the wrap is just on the shoulder/neck region and unbuttons for easy access to wound care.

5. mismatched eye stolen from a girl with a snake eyes quirk. the idea was to steal her hypnosis ability (focused in the snake pupils), but that was TOO integral to normal body functions and it failed (vocal chords were pushing it, hence the throat scar not healing). his body took the eye transplant, but for all intents and purposes it’s uselessly blurry and just gives him headaches. his hair is longer on that side for the purpose of shading it.

6. after getting used to the idea that hey, he could actually fulfill his dream of bettering the world by removing quirk-based societal inequality, his first target was his childhood tormentor bakugou. they didn’t know what the limits of the assimilation quirk but they did know his arms couldn’t be messed with any further; bakugou’s arm was successfully stolen and the sweat glands placed in deku’s feet (with the idea being explosion kicks would be helpful). unfortunately it actually does need to be on the same locale (and a fundamental misunderstanding of how bakugou’s quirk works), so... it ended up just causing his feet to sweat acid. he goes barefoot all the time now because shoes/socks cause sweat and get melted anyway. the quirk is not voluntarily activated, but also doesn’t happen unless his feet are sweating.

7. useful boob window + the wrap aesthetic based on yaomomo’s hero outfit/concept after he stole a similar creation quirk (the scar for that is somewhere on his stomach). not really intentional, but a functional coincidence of the wrap + ‘tube top’.

hopefully this is not too late to be counted 8D;;

I had a cute idea were instead of deku actually taking a more offensive role in villainy, he was more of like a sneaky boi who gathered info on heros and sold it to villians lol I even thought of his villain name being “Traitor” and i couldnt get this dorky little outfit out of my head lolol

he would definitely slap something together and i could totally see him putting on his old all might gear and using it to get close to heros only to lull them into a sense of false safety lol not the most badass look buuuut, its still cute to me lololol

Last minute decided to hop on the train and draw up my Hero Killer / Hero Stalker Villain!Deku AU for the @bnhavillaindeku-zine contest!

Before I bombard you with all the other information regarding this AU of mine, here’s the links for pre-ordering the zine! ( Here & Here ).

With that out of the way, here’s all the AU information + photo captions in case my handwriting is Bad TM:

AU BASICS:

The AU begins with Deku losing his family at a very young age due to a villain attack where the heroes weren’t able to act and prevent their deaths.

Jumping from foster home to foster home, Deku’s obsession with heroes slowly began to turn to something more twisted as his resentment for what happened started to sink in.

Around 10 years old, Deku decides he wants to reform the hero world into one with true heroes that would risk their life to save others instead of just soak up publicity and fame (for this AU, Stain doesn’t exist because that spot is taken by Deku WAY early on)

He takes to the streets and back alleys picking fights with unsavory people to get stronger and making a web of connections.

Around 13 he finally feels confident enough to seek out a black market support hero dealer and uses the money he’d saved up to purchase a custom made blade that has the edges soaked in a quirk neutralizer.

Shortly after this he makes his first kill. It sits heavy on his mind for awhile until he makes his next kill, and he eventually becomes desensitized to it.

Of Class 1-A at Yuuei, the two people he already considers to be true heroes are Bakugou Katsuki (for the same canon reasons) and Mina Ashido (he happened to be in the area of the villain attack that she protected her friends during)

(Arrow to Belt): Utility belt with different fighting aids, like tranqs and restraints; one has a picture of All Might
