Recipe for a Gooey Berry Apple Pie in February
On a blue sky day in October, hike up a gulch in the remote foothills to a feral apple orchard forgotten by time. Climb past snarling brambles and golden brittle weeds and silvery aromatic desert shrubs to find apple trees gnarled and twisted with magnificent age. Pick different apple varieties and taste them, experiencing depth of flavor lost to the modern world. Feel the juices drip down your chin. Load a bag up of each type of apple and haul them home on your back walking single file down the trail, feeling the wind on your warm skin, an echo of a thousand ancestors.
When you are home, sort your apples for eating now and apples that can store well. Marvel at the hardness and density of the storage apples. Make art on the counter with the colors of all your different apples. Lovingly wrap each storage apple in newspaper and store in a box in the garage, near the back door where it is coldest. Forget the box of hard storage apples as there are fresh apples and persimmons and pomegranates and winter citrus to eat.
In February, when all other fruit is past, and you've eaten more citrus than is healthy for the inside of your mouth, remember you have a box of apples. Pull one out and realize that they are finally soft enough to eat, and they taste lovely. A little waxy and wrinkly on the outside but still surprisingly fresh. Remember you have a frozen pie crust in the freezer and pull it out to thaw.
Roll out your pie crust and par-blind bake (375 for 12 min, rice nestled in tin foil for pie weights). Pull out apples from the box in the garage and start chopping them into chunks. Pull out a bag of mixed frozen berries, mourning the dismal huckleberry harvest this part summer but grateful for grocery berries as back up. Add all but the strawberries (those go back in the freezer for some other occasion) to a pot with a pat of butter. Add the chopped apples and start cooking to soften the apples and break down the berries.
Add a squeeze of meyer lemon, enjoying the floral scent it gives off. Add a little rose water. Add a little vanila paste. Decide you need more apples and go into the garage for more of your miraclous little storage apples and feel blessed with their late winter generosity. Remember that sugar is part of pie filling and add half a cup. Stir. Grab the red tapioca box from the top shelf and think about how your mom loves tapioca pudding and of bowls of warm goodnes in childhood kitchens late at night. Add a sprinkle of tapioca to the pot. Add another sprinkle. Maybe a little more. Stir. Think a bit more sugar might be fine for sweetening your terrible February mood, add more. Pull the blind bake pie crust out, fill with filling, badly wrap the edges with tin foil to prevent burning. Pop back in the oven until it smells done. Watch in fascination as it continues to bubble for a full three minutes after you pull it out of the oven. Eat half of it for lunch.

I also have a slight headcanon that's actually shared with other people!
To put it as short as I can:
Vanilla's stand, Cream, is a void. Stands are a reflection of your soul. This could mean Vanilla has a void in his heart that needs to be filled, he's affection/touch starved (which is why Cream devours everything in his path and never gets full), and could explain why he's obsessed with Dio. Dio possibly gave him all that stuff he wanted and pretty much filled that void in his heart.

i was tabling for my art club today and handed a prospective student a flyer and her sister immediately goes (very loudly but in a younger sister kind of way) "why'd you bother taking that, you're terrible at art??"
