tamama if you haven't already?

Why I like them: Tamama was my number one fave for a while and I still adore him, which is why he’s my mascot instead of Kururu. The first reason is because he’s FUCKING CUTE but that’s fairly obvious. I love all of his adorable little faces, his determined attitude, his MOUTH LASERS, even his sorta pouty baby-like tendencies…he’s both precious and can kick your ass and he is just really endearing despite his flaws and I love him. And he’s struggling with getting a grip on his maturity (or lack of it) which is really relatable. Also I love his Japanese voice! It’s Jibanyan!!

Why I don’t: He can be a little overly creepy sometimes; that episode where he tries really hard to kiss Keroro and starts attacking people comes to mind. His anger/jealousy tendencies are part of what makes him an interesting and well-rounded character, but it wouldn’t hurt to tone it down sometimes :L

Favorite episode and/or movie scene: Ironically enough, it’s not the episode called Tamamatango. Still, there are a ton of good episodes about Tamama—the one where he helped that boy with soccer, the Beetle God fight, Tamama and the Turtle, the one where he becomes a #rebel briefly, that damn Death Note parody…I could go on. I can’t think of a bad Tamama episode, besides the aforementioned creepy kissing thing. Tamama is a quality boy.

Favorite season and/or movie: Tamama is consistently pretty good across all seasons, though I think he got more attention in the earlier ones. Movie 3 is his best movie of course, as movie 3 is almost everyone’s best movie. Did I mention how much I love movie 3

Favorite line: I liked the drawing song he did of Momoka in the Death Note episode. Also, the classic case of intentionally poor translation: “SHIT MAX!”

Favorite outfit: I have a few. His little Halloween vampire-looking outfit is precious!! I love his classic cat outfit too of course, considering it’s my icon. His martial arts outfit, while simple, looks stylish as heck (potential bias here though as a martial artist myself :P)

OTP: Actually, I don’t actively ship Tamama with anyone. I think he’s still undergoing his self-discovery phase and isn’t quite ready for a real relationship yet.

BroTP: Tamama and his Momocchi! I didn’t like them together at first because Momoka can be unreasonably mean to him at times, but later in the series they make a fantastic duo. I wish we could’ve gotten even more content about their relationship. (Idk if you guys have noticed the trend yet but I really really really like the Keronian/human partnerships :V)

Headcanon: He’s trans! Canon debunked my “he looks like a tadpole cuz he hasn’t transitioned yet” theory but I’m still gonna keep this because Projection

Unpopular opinion: I know practically all of these unpopular opinions have been about ships but…I don’t know how I feel about KeroTama. I do think Tamama is an adult, but just barely (18-19ish?). Despite what his biological age may be though he’s not mentally/emotionally mature. I think his love for Keroro is mostly one-sided anyway; Keroro might view him as more of a loyal friend/little brother type figure. At any rate, maybe it’d be possible if and when he gets older, but for now eh. Second one; I don’t really see how he’s multiple personality or bipolar; I’m pretty sure neither of those disorders work the way they portray Tamama.

A wish: Similar to Kururu, I wish we knew anything about his family. I’m surprised they were barely ever mentioned at all. Also like I said before, more Tamama and Momoka.

An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen: Something happening to Keroro or Momoka; poor Tamama would lose it. I don’t wanna see him put through something like that :(
