Just had a random thought that kinda got inspired by Dogs Of Future Past (by @lynxgriffin)
So like, what if Chara was a "player" per say. I don't think they'd be an anomaly, but maybe a Player sort of. And that's why they can kinda control Frisk in some points.
There would be two ways this could possibly go. Either there's the player/the anomaly and Chara existing at the same time or Chara "took the role" of player.
For the first concept, both the player and Chara are "players" with THE player having a bit more control in some things, mainly their vessel aka Frisk. Chara counts as a player but is overshadowed by the player being more of connectable entity, the player didn't have a previous code in the game and so could easily connect with a vessel while Chara was/is coded into the game so that holds some drawbacks. But when given enough power/strength, or if the player is slowly losing connection, Chara can swoop in to take control.
For example, let's say Genocide is a situation where either of those things happen. No I am not a believer of "Chara is the one killing the monsters" but I am a believer in Chara doing the things the player didn't do. All of it goes to Chara anyway, as they tell the player. So either Chara got strong enough to start controlling Frisk.. Or the Genocide route is actually breaking connection between Frisk and the player. How exactly? Idk maybe the whole concept of a person growing more cold and uncaring of other's pain could be that reason. The more Frisk finds it easier to hurt and kill, the more they gain LV, the more the Player is disconnecting slowly. Frisk becoming more detached is making The Player detach a bit.
For the second concept, it would have to be set in a world where the Player doesn't exist, they actually never existed. Chara just took charge, they became what is known as The Player. Everything they do is aiming to helping monster kind however they can never truly give up and keep resetting. The reason as to why could be boiled down to three possibilities: It's like UnderPlayer and Chara is trying to figure out a way to get the absolute best outcome but nothing is perfect for them, it's like Crimson (made by @liliallowed) where they just get disconnected after the "game" ends and is stuck being alone, or it's a mixture of both. Either way, something is wrong that makes them unable to just move on after they did their job. They can't just give up and be happy with what they got.
In my opinion, for the concept of Player Chara, I kinda like the second concept more because then it doesn't conflict with the player's existence too much. Yeah you'd have to take away the player but ultimately for this kind of concept, it may be better than to create huge plot holes. Though either concept is interesting.
Idk it was just a random thought I had

It's Fictional Throwdown Friday!
This Week's Fighters...
The Angel vs The Watcher!
Conditons:
No limitations. Both have their full arsenals.
Scenario:
The Watcher attempts to possess Kris's body in order to force them to make friends, only to get forced out by The Angel. Irritated, The Watcher attempts to destroy The Angel for preventing them from "improving" Kris's life.
Analysis: The Angel
Everyone is the hero of their own story. Unless you're a protagonist in an Undertale game. Because then the story isn't really about you, it's about the Player controlling you.
The Angel is the in-universe name for you. No, not your character, you. The person playing Undertale and Deltarune. For the sake of this analysis however, we'll treat the Angel like an in-universe character because I know nothing about you, random Tumblr user, so how can I analyze you for fighting purposes?
The Angel is a mysterious entity who interacts with the world almost entirely through avatars that they possess. They are a fickle, amoral being who manipulates the lives of their hosts for better and for worse for their own entertainment, almost as if they are playing some sort of video game. Their reach spans across several universes, allowing them to possess both Frisk in the Undertale universe and Kris in the Deltarune one. As a matter of fact, they have three save files in Deltarune, each seeming to be a different timeline entirely, which they can manipulate and erase at will.
When possessing Frisk and Kris, the Angel has nearly full control over their actions and abilities. This grants them access to the boons of DETERMINATION, a substance that allows its human hosts to manipulate time, SAVEing in certain spots which they can LOAD back to later, even using this to resurrect themselves after death. Both their hosts regularly tank Small Building level attacks which damage both body and soul, making them vastly superhuman by real world standards. Frisk in particular can even boost themselves to universe busting levels of power with sufficient DETERMINATION, though this mostly applies to their durability, as they can't even scratch Asriel Dreemurr and can barely hurt Omega Flowey.
However, while the Angel does have access to their host's movesets, their control over them is somewhat limited. Kris can outright force the Angel out of their body on occasion while Frisk can somewhat act on their own regardless of the Angel's influence. Notably, if Frisk gains enough Levels Of Violence for whatever reason, their narrator and guide, Chara, will become corrupted by it and begin possessing Frisk, overriding the Angel's control over them entirely and eventually ascending into a universe destroying abstract entity.
Despite this however, they transcend the entire Undertale multiverse as a higher dimensional being. As such, no entites within it can do any more than merely inconvenience them. Chara may be able to steal their happy ending, but they can't exactly reach through the screen and punch you. As such, it's unlikely that most of the Angel's powers can effect someone of the same dimensional existence as themselves.
Despite these limitations, the Angel is a little heart shaped lovecraftian nightmare. Your existence is their game and your life is their entertainment. You can't fight them forever. Soon, it will be game over.
Analysis: The Watcher
A long time ago, an ancient entity created the universe by duplicating itself and taking the form of reality. It watched life begin to grow in this new world and worked to guide the newly born sim race out of their idiotic and self destructive tendencies. This entity... is you.
You are the Watcher. The benevolent god of the Sims universe. And your job is to protect and guide your creations to ensure they live a happy life. Or you could just remove the pool ladder and watch them drown. Don't lie. We've all done it.
The Watcher is a powerful god with many unique tools in it's kit. They created the sims mumtiverse and can manipulate everything within it to their whim. They created Death back when nothing could die and thus, transcend him completely. They are a fickle creator god as far as the Sims are concerned... with some cravats.
The Watcher can freely possess the Sims they made, but those Sims still remain aware of their possession and can even berate the Watcher for actions they don't approve of. Even so, however, the Watcher can do some incredible things with their powers.
They can turns magical beings, like vampires and ghosts, into ordinary humans and even turn imaginary friends real. They can erase being from existence entirely and can control the mind so absolutely as to change a person's moral code entirely. They can even create and destroy new universes as they please, as easily as plucking a hair from their body.
However, there is one problem with having all these powers. They've never been used on an entity that was The Watcher's equal. The Watcher is reality, the multiverse itself, meaning it never had a chance to encounter and use it's powers on an entity equal to itself.
Regardless of that hiccup, the Sims multiverse is lucky to be run by a benevolent god who wants to only improve their lives... by any means necessary.
Throwdown Theme: Player In Control, a mashup of Control by Halsey and Coded_To_Reality cover by Nick Nitro.
Throwdown Breakdown:
As interesting as the dynamic of this fight is, I actually find it rather simple once all the pieces are layed out.
The fights between their avatars and hosts would be interesting. Frisk and Kris should be somewhat capable of fending off the Watcher's influence due to their own mind resistance feats, allowing the Angel to maintain control over them. Both can sinply revive their vessals indefinitely from anything the other can do, but Frisk in particular does have the benefit of being able to flat out resist the Watcher's existence erasure, as they've tanked similar from Asriel before. However, having Frisk be involved in this fight at all does risk getting their LV too high, meaning Chara might be a wild card problem for both of them.
However, in a contest between Avatars, the Watcher would ultimately come out on top, as their absolute control over reality gives thrm options the Angel simply doesn't have, like transforming Kris and Frisk into monsters to nullify their DETERMINATION. This leads to the question: what can they do to each other.
After all, neither have demonstrated any ability to effect beings on their own level. There will be no existence erasure or possession here, where both are on equal footing. However, the Angel does have one thing that pushes them over the Watcher.
The Angel transcends reality. The Watcher is reality.
The Watcher can destroy as many Undertale universes as it pleases and that won't do anything to the Angel. Every universe the Angel destroys however, will destroy more of the Watcher's body. Sure, the Watcher can duplicate to create more of themselves, but they can't retaliate in any meaningful way, so they'd really just be buying themselves more time.
The fight goes down like this. Frisk and Kris face off against The Watcher's army of magical sims, with maybe some help from a post-Genocide route Chara. While Frisk and Chara's universe level stats prove to be an issue, the Watcher's reality warping hax undoes them. A frustrated Angel then begins destroying the universes that makes up the Watcher's body, destroying them one universe at a time as the helpless Watcher merely delays the inevitable. Once the dead is done, the Angel loads their save file back to before the Watcher intervened and contiues their playthrough where they left off.
Local Undertale fan beats Sims fan to death in Arby's parking lot, more at 6.
This Throwdown's Winner is...

hibiscia!!! Sorry if youve explained before but is there something specific about reset-remember fics that you hate? I don't really like them either but for me it's just because I feel like a lot of authors type sans in very ooc ways
They're completely antithetical to Sans' character arc for the sake of cheap and easy angst. The nature of his brand of cosmic horror isn't in reliving his life again and again, that's Flowey's. Sans knows OF the anomaly, knows that it's manipulating time and knows it's a threat to the entire universe, but he doesn't know how or why, because he doesn't remember.
And that's crucial! him being mostly in the dark in spite of the MANY warning signs about us... because it's in that doubt that he remains hopeful. YES we could potentially end the world... but what if we don't? yes we have unimaginable power over everyone else and we can bring back time, but what if we're just.... sad? he needs that gap in his knowledge so he can take a leap of faith across it, it's his entire character arc in the pacifist run. sans THINKS he's given up, he wants to have given up, he chose to do it because there's a comfort in that. in contenting yourself with good food and bad laughs. there's peace. but he hasn't given up, not really. on himself? maybe. but not in us.
there's no way to have that arc if he remembers resets.

BEHOLD! tWO ANOMALY AUS!!!!
((Anomaly by @htsan!!!!))
to be honest, either concept could just be for a reader in general, but the first thing I thought of was sansnomaly so!!! yeah
feel free to ask me stuff about either of these AUs!! The general info is down below but I do have more ideas for these! Depending on how well this does I might make more drawings, but if you want more feel free to ask!!!!
So the Hades AU is pretty simple. Sans is our Persephone, getting dragged down to the underworld with us!! I chose to make my Hades anomaly a lonely and nervous person, but the anomaly is literally us, so the personality is up to you!!! You can choose to follow the stuff I put in text, or not. Either way it’s more sansnomaly :)
The second one is a little more obscure- it’s a Coraline AU! We give Sans this little world where he can be happy for a while before he returns (we aren’t gonna hurt him or anything like the Other Mother dw!!!) to his own! Also, there are multiple anomalies!! Unfortunately, we’re all stuck in the Other World. This causes some anomalies to… become a little unhinged. They still don’t hurt Sans, but they take on more and more spiderlike qualities as they get more and more possessive of Sans :( The anomalies who have more doll-like attributes still want Sans to stay with them, but if he is put in harm’s way they will let him go.
Also, yes the spider anomalies have the Other Mother’s hands. Those things are fucking gorgeous how could I not

I want ot to be a running gag that whenever Kris regains control of their body they just run off to do something completely innocuous. Kris didn't slash the tires they just ran off to go egg Sans' house. With Gaster's eggs.
