Luke Hughes Blurb
Being that you're loud and have a hard time shutting up, one of the first opportunities that came your way during your time at Umich was being a student information speaker during tours and other events. This means that you’d often stand at the bottom of a 300-person lecture hall and answer audience-produced question about attending the University of Michigan.
So you knew it was trouble when your Luke Hughes, Jacob Truscott, Mark Estapa, and Nolan Moyle snuck into an Accepted Students Day session during your sophomore year.
You stood at the bottom of the lecture hall watching the high school students and their families file in and begin to fill up the seats.
Once everyone was seated, and you began your usual introduction you spotted movement out of the corner of your eye. You immediately recognize the lanky body and extremely identifiable movement of your boyfriend Luke as he scurries in with a few of the other hockey boys. They sit in the back row but you can already see them doubled over and snickering.
You could tell they were feeling mischievous after their practice and could only imagine what they were going to do. But you kept it professional and finished talking about what you had to.
The boys didn't cause any issues, that is until you got the the portion where anyone can ask you questions.
You had a few other Umich students in the room who helped with the questions, standing up by the seats with microphones for the guests to use.
You had a few of the usual questions about dorms and on-campus jobs until the inevitable happened.
You could hear it from the floor even though it was coming from the farthest seats back in the hall.
“Yo, I think he has a question”, you hear Truscott’s voice say, catching the attention of one of the students there to help with voicing the questions. You see him start to walk up to where the boys were sitting and you swallow, awaiting their next move.
The boy gives the microphone to Luke who is sitting on the outer seat of the isle, but he passes it to Truscott. This relieves you slightly, but you already knew Luke would never draw that much attention to himself, so it was a given that one of the other boys would be making a scene in a few seconds. Truscott takes the microphone and passes it to Mark who then holds it up to his mouth, already laughing.
“Yeah, I have a question for you”
You see Luke shake his head and look down, smiling into his fist.
You shake your head at Mark, but can't help but smile seeing them be so stupid. Thats why you love them anyways, right?
“Which sports team here has the hottest guys?”
The room immediately lightens up with some laughter, giving you a moment to think of a response.
“Hmmm”, you pause, “The hottest? I don't know. But I will say I heard the hockey team is the most generous since they said they are taking photos with and giving autographs to anyone in the room who would like it after the session is done”
You smile spitefully up at the boys and see Luke sink into his chair, laughing while Nolan pushes Mark as he hands the microphone back to the boy, laughing too.
A few claps come from some enthusiastic dads in the audience and then session resumed.
And just as expected, when it’s over, the boys had to stay for almost an hour taking pictures. You sit in a rolling chair, watching with satisfaction the entire time. When the final family leaves the lecture hall you bring the microphone to your lips.
“I think I have to say the football team has got the hottest guys”, you state in a fake snarky voice.
“I fucking hate you”, Luke screams while laughing from up top, giving you the middle finger. The other boys seem to like this idea as they all stick their fingers up at you too.
“Get out”, you reply laughing and shooing them away with your hand.

This project is going to be so bad - Luca Fantilli
a/n: okay this is a first and i’m nervous but whatever. hopefully it’s not too bad
Last year was rough, between the softball season and the demanding major that is Architecture, I was having a hard time balancing all of my work and my mom brought up the valid point that my major shouldn’t stress me out this much in just my freshman year.
After a long discussion with my parents over the summer, I decided to pursue another interest of mine, athletics. While i’m still technically undeclared, i’ve signed up for all the course work for a sports management degree, figuring I can do whatever I want with it in the future. I loved Architecture but it wasn’t working out. Besides, the students in this major are much more my speed than the Architecture students who will gladly spend a Saturday night working on a model over a party at one of the off campus houses.
I had known Luke Hughes last year. We were friendly and often attended the same parties, both of us being athletes. I didn’t really know what to expect walking into my first Sports Law class of the year, but a row of four hockey players turning their heads after Luke called my name was not it. He sent a smile and waved me over “New major, eh?” he asked me.
“New me,” I replied with a smile, I figured most of the boys with him were the new freshman as I only recognized Luke and Dylan.
“Here, take the seat next to Luca, on the end. “
I look at the closest of the boys and am met with the smiliest brown-eyed boy i’ve ever seen. “Hi, I’m Luca,” he said reaching his hand out as I drop my bag on the table in front of my seat. I sit and shake his hand smiling.
“These are some of the new froshes, Luca, Adam, and Rutger.” Luke explains. I smile and peek over towards the door, waiting for MY softball freshman to show up. Seconds later and my new teammate, Claire walks in. I wave her over and by the time class starts the row of us seven we’re getting along just nicely.
Flash forward four weeks and we have our first partner project in the class. We were assigned our table partners and due to the odd numbers, Luca and I were partners, Claire being put with the girl sitting on her other side. “We can try to move things around if you want to be with Claire, I don’t mind.” Luca says with a smile. I snort, “I think I’ll be fine putting up with you for one project Luca.” I respond with a smile. “Do you want to try and knock this thing out sometime this weekend? I’m free whenever.” I ask while we all make our way out to the hallway.
“Hmm yeah, Saturday work?” he says, I nod. “Alright I’ll text you. Have fun at practice, bopper.” A slight blush covers my cheeks at the nickname as Claire and I turn to head towards the Wilson complex for some lifting with the team.
It’s now Saturday, a little bit before noon and Luca has just texted me asking if I wanted to pick up some lunch on my way over to his dorm.
I stop at the cafe on campus and grab two lunches before making my way to Luca’s.
“Hey,” a smiley Luca opens the door before I can even knock. “Oh- hi,” I look up with probably just as big of a smile on my face. “Ready to grind out this project?” he asks.
A smaller smile fills my face “To be honest, I don’t even know what the project is supposed to cover.” I say bashfully.
“Hmm, well I guess we better start then.”
After a grueling one and half hours of explaining things we didn’t understand to each other, I let out a sigh and flop onto my back across from Luca. “I still don’t understand all of these stupid labor laws. Why are there so many and why does the NCAA have to change them every year!” I let out with a sigh.
Luca chuckles, “Yeah, I think I’m done trying to understand injury protocol. It’s way easier when a coach just tells you you’re out.” Luca sighs.
“This project is going to be so bad. Why’d he even put us in a group together, we have one working brain cell working together.” I mutter.
Luca let’s put a loud laugh, “I don’t mind being partners with you. Makes it fun at least.”
I blush for probably the millionth time that week due to Luca and he smiles over at me.
“Really, I like hanging out with you, it’s a nice break from Adam for sure.” he continues.
“You’re not that bad to hang out with either, Fantilli.” I sit up and close my binder full of notes. Luca looks down at his computer but just stares, as if in thought.
I myself, was only slightly enjoying the view of the boy who’s bed I was currently in. Okay, maybe it wasn’t so subtle.
Luca looks like he’s thinking for a couple more seconds before he lifts his head and catches me. With a soft smile he says, “I like being your friend and all but would you want to go out sometime?” He mutters the last part and I have to lean in to hear him.
“Oh my god, I didn’t know if you were ever going to ask.” I let out a laugh as I nod my head,”Yes, Lu, I’ll go out with you.”
He breaks out in a huge smile before surging forward to kiss my lips. I kiss back immediately. The kiss was soft and sweet but soon turned into teeth on teeth as we both start smiling and giggling. He pulls away and stands up off the bed, taking my hands in his. “Come on, I didn’t even think you’d agree, but I’m sure going to start right away.” He says with his dazzling smile.
“Where are we going? Wait, I need to grab my stuff.” I say as he drags me to where my shoes are by the door.
“Just leave it, we can come back later, I’m taking you out on a date, don’t worry where.” he responds.
I give him a playful side eye as I slide my ugg’s on and walk out with him, hand in hand. “Better not be planning on murdering me or anything like that, Fantilli.”

Luke Hughes blurb
It really is days like today that you really resent your boyfriend Luke for not having to put forth an ounce of effort in school, while you fight tooth and nail to even stay enrolled at Umich.
You sit at the desk of your dorm room, entranced by your computer, and the essay that unfortunately won't write itself. But your head whips around when you hear the door to your room creak open and you see the 6′2 boy enter sluggishly after his morning practice.
“Babe don't even tell me you’re still writing this essay”, he says walking over and bending down beside you to get a better look at the screen.
“Well don't hold your breath”, you reply, your neck turned to look at him, while his eyes are still locked on your computer.
“You promised you’d be done with it by now”, he complained.
“I lied”.
You knew you should have had it done, but if there's one thing you're the queen of- its procrastination. And Luke knows this.
His face finally turns to yours and he raises and eyebrow in annoyance. You counter by shrugging your shoulders. You wait for his next non-verbal response, but it’s just him walking away to go sit on your bed. To that you just say “Sorry” as sincerely as you can and let the cranky boy wallow.
You take the room’s return to silence and finally start to get the essay done.
At least an hour and a half has gone by once you're able to give your attention back to Luke and you do feel sort of bad. You knew what was coming though and that you'd be dealing with ‘Petty Luke’ until you win him back over.
You climbed up onto your bed which he was laying comfortably on with his feet crossed and his eyes glued to his phone. He doesn't acknowledge your presence on the bed, but you knew he'd ignore you to get back at you ignoring him.
“Luke”, you say. He disregards you.
“Lukeyyyy”. No response. He doesn't even look at you.
You're sitting on your knees beside him and you look at his phone, pretending like all is normal and you're just joining in on whatever he's watching.
Then this little bitch turns the damn phone away from you. You roll your eyes. It’s time to move to the big guns.
You huff loudly and then move on top of him so you're straddling his waist.
He glances up from his phone, and back down swiftly. No emotion on his face.
Fuck it, you think.
You take your shirt off and toss it to the side, and settle into his body again, staring.
Thats when he glances up again, but grins this time. You've won.

it's been a hectic couple of days, and despite being out for the final, i had so much fun playing with this amazing bunch of women. i can only hope to get the opportunity to do it again. team usa were incredible, and were exciting opponents - congratulations on the championship.
