450 Followers: Meet The Writer
Hello there! We’re back with another Meet The Writer Q&A and it’s our pleasure to introduce a fellow Brazilian fanfic author for our ninth interview:
Tumblr media
Blog: @julia-highstorms Name (or petname): Julia/Ju Birthday: July 9 Nationality: Brazilian 🇧🇷 Current residency: I'm one of the 12 million people living in São Paulo, Brazil Languages you speak: Brazilian Portuguese, English and a bit of Japanese Masterlist: Julia’s choices fanfiction masterlist
1. Is there a meaning behind your url name? Yes! For those who have been following me for a while, they already know that I used to change my URL according to the Choices character I was stanning at the time but it was a PAIN to fix all my fanfics links 😩 so I decided to finally create an unique URL that I wouldn't get tired of. So I mixed my two surnames together and it (basically) means Highstorms. I loved it 😌
2. When did you start playing Choices? What's the first book you played? 2017 I believe. TRR book 1 was about to debut. YEAH. It was the Freshman Book 1.
3. When did you decide to join Choices fandom? December 21 2017. ILITW was in its last chapters and I was obsessed with it. I wanted to talk about it with other people, but I didn't know anyone who also played Choices. So I found the fandom on Tumblr and decided to join. I miss all my friends I made back then and we all went nuts with ILITW finale together 😩 Good times
4. Go back to your archive and tell us what was your first post on your Choices blog was about. My first post was about how I loved ILITW and how everyone was fucked up sjddndossok also a lot of reblogs about MAKE NOAH AN LI 🗣️
5. How long have you been writing fanfiction? I started writing fanfictions in my senior year of high school, although I attempted to write my own stories when I was younger, around 12-13.
6. Share the first fanfic you wrote with us. Do you still like it or would you change anything about it? My first fanfic ever is about The Maine, it was my favorite band back then slfjdfodj but my first Choices fanfic is If Jane Was Here (ILITW told by Noah) Chapter 1. I AM SO PROUD OF IT. Of course, there are some things I would change. Like adding even more angst. Having finished writing it way sooner. But I'm super proud of it overall. My first (and so far only) Choices long series I've ever finished. Wow.
7. What are your favorite Choices books to write about? Definitely Open Heart just because of Bryce Lahela and Rei (my MC). OPH has become a mess, but I love Bryce too much. I loved the It Lives anthology too and enjoyed writing about. And I'm hyped for my upcoming Blades AU series!
8. What is your specialty as a fanfic writer? Oooh I guess it is rewriting certain scenes or events of the books or thinking about AUs. Since ILITW I have enjoyed doing this. Writing on another character's point of view of the events that have happened (the whole If Jane Was Here series, that is ILITW told by Noah's POV). Or adding some depth to a certain scene (did something like this with Julia, my ILB MC, and Tom's relationship. And with Rei and Bryce's). Or even rewriting the story to fit better with my MC's personality (Rei, OPH MC).
9. What aspect of your writing do you most enjoy to see praised? When people say they like my MC's, Rei (OPH MC) and Luxia (Blades MC). Before, whenever I played Choices, I didn't care much about the MCs because they're all generic (which makes sense because we're the ones playing it). They're always the happy go lucky friend that tries to fix everyone's problems and every LI is in love with them. Boooooring. Rei was my first MC that I created a whole non-canon personality to her, and that's why she's my baby 🥺 and when people commented that they felt represented by Rei, that she felt more realistic than PB's usual MC, well, that was my peak as a writer lol so they're basically OC's, with their own personalities and temperaments.
10. Do you participate in any writing events or challenges throughout the year? If so, what do you like about them? I do, but I wish I could participate more often! The prompts are what I like the most, because they give me ideas that I'd have never thought to write about before.
11. Are there any writers (published authors and/or fanfic writers) who influenced your writing? Meg Cabot was my favorite author growing up and I read some of Sophie Kinsella’s books too, so probably my love for adding a bit of comedy, silly little things in my fanfics came from them. I love Jane Austen too. And last but not least, my flair for angst definitely came from reading Fruits Basket, my favorite manga ever. There’s so much angst in Furuba dodksdishd Takaya Natsuki-sensei really enjoys it. I recommend reading her other manga series, Twinkle Stars, too.
12. What element of writing do you struggle with most? Actually writing lmao. You know, taking the plot out of my mind and typing it down on Google Docs. Writing is hard, takes too much time and I'm lazy 😩 I wish I could just transfer my ideas to a document and it's done. No need to write, no need to revise, etc. I love the final product, but I hate the process.
13. Do you have any abandoned WIPs? What made you abandon them? A BUNCH OAJDSKDKD 🤦 Either because my inspiration to write it has faded or because I don't want to spend my whole time writing.
14. You’re applying for the fanfic writer of the year award. What five fanfics do you put in your portfolio? Oooooh great question! I must put:
If Jane Was Here - Alternative ending (ILITW): this is the only finale I accept sorrynotsorry
Too Little Too Late - Jax x MC (Bloodbound): I wanted to feel hurt. People cried. I loved it sclkdsdjsops
The Loudest One - Bryce x F!MC (Open Heart): I wrote this one for CFWC Kinktober! And honestly, this is the best smut scene I have written. I’m quite proud about it.
Satisfied - Jax x Lily (Bloodbound): it was fun writing for my crack ship! My babies. And the first smut scene I have ever written. I’m glad it was with these two. I still can’t get over the fact that either one of them dies in BB’s finale. I cannot accept skfjdpd
Lullaby - Tyril x Elf!F!MC (Blades): don’t get me wrong, I love Tyril and his goth lordling mysterious elf boy personality and the first time he and MC made out was HOT but… I missed a bit of clousure before, you know? It felt a bit sudden to me, so I wrote a couple of fanfics showing their growing interest and attraction towards one another. This one is a light cute one and I really like it.
15. Do you create original content aside from fanfiction (original stories, art, etc)?  I sometimes draw some fanarts in which you can see by searching for #occasional drawings on my Tumblr.
Do you want to contribute with questions/ideas for the next Meet The Writer Q&A? Send us a message.
Thanks for reading! Reblog to share your appreciation for @julia-highstorms ❤️

Lori's Favorite Fics - CFWC Kinktober edition
Warning: If you're a minor or not into smut, I strongly recommend you not to read this post. Though I won't give any details, I'm sort of trying to convince you to read these stories (because they are really good). But you might not be ready to handle the content of some of these fanworks.
Tumblr media
Take the kids out of the room because CFWC Kinktober reviews are here 😆
I don't know if it seemed weird that the host of the event took a month to read the fics and didn't give likes or comments on every single story received, but the point of the CFWC is to promote Choices fanfiction regardless of my personal taste in books, characters, tropes or writing style.
I also have my personal reasons not to do so. It can be really hard to keep track of 94 stories, given that I wrote 7 stories of those (I still have two stories unfinished) and one for Bloodbound Appreciation Week.
Plus, I have a confession to make: I don't really like reading smut. I know. It's odd to know the host of a kinktober event doesn't like reading that genre, but my problem isn't with smut or kinky prompts per se. I like writing smut and I appreciate smut when it feels organic to the story I'm reading. But not every single sex scene feels natural just because the writer put those characters there (even though some of them think it is... 😏)
Alright, enough jibber jabber and shade. Let's get to the good part of this post: The steamiest stories.
Tumblr media
Blades Of Light And Shadow
A Debutante's Ball | Tyril Starfury x F!Elf!MC: After a while as Tyril's partner but spending way too long away from him, Luxia gets ready the ball and Tyril shows up to help her with the gown and give her all the reassurance she needed 😏 @julia-highstorms absolutely nailed the description of the steamy scenes. It's getting really hard to defend my honor as Nia stan when a fic like this makes me curious about Tyril 🤦🏽‍
Mother Of The Year
A Night Alone | Levi Schuler x MC (tw: Dom/sub, pet play)
I could say how fantastic this fic is with just three words (Dom Levi Schuler 😍), but it wouldn't be fair to it. In this piece, Laura (MC) makes the most of her time alone with Levi for some little roleplay. @storyofmychoices wrote s characterization for Levi as Dom and it's simply amazing how it fits him so well.
Open Heart
Eight Deadly Sin | Bryce Lahela x F!MC (tw: deep-throating): I never read Bryce x MC fics before, but I decided to give it a shot. Well, wasn't it a pleasant surprise? @eleanorbloom wrote a make out session of Bryce and Eleanor (MC) in the supply closet that is pure fire. Too bad both of them had to go back and do rounds. I was definitely looking forward to see how Bryce planned to reciprocate 😏😁
Perfect Match
The Gift of Mastery | M!Hayden x F!MC (tw: Dom/sub): Am I going to praise one of my faves again? Yes, I am. Not only my girl @thequeenchoices wrote a piece for one of my favorite LIs, but she also worked with every single detail of a BDSM scene with a Femdom and male sub like a pro. The description of Hayden and Vicky's (MC) relationship shows how much they trust each other, which makes the scene as passionate as it was portrayed.
Platinum
Silence Is Golden | M!Raleigh Carrera x MC: In case you're in the mood for smut with a good dose of humor, this one I for you. @omgjasminesimone wrote this awesome fic of Raleigh thirsty for more sex while Cadence wants to be prepared for her interview. The way she handled things with him was kind of mean, but so smart 😂
Ride Or Die
Send Off | Logan x MC: This is one of those fics that I could react just with dozens of heart eyes emoji. After a week together, Logan has to leave. But Ellie isn't ready to let go of him. @omgjasminesimone wrote this scene so beautifully, it's hard not to hope these two find a way to stay together.
Sidetracked | Colt Kaneko x MC: I may be a Logan stan through and through, but I know a good Colt x MC fic when I see one. @dancingboba did an superb job on writing a very annoyed Colt who had to share Ellie's attention with her college friends. However, he knew just the way to get attention 🔥🔥🔥
Rules Of Engagement/The Royal Romance
Boundaries | Leo Rys x F!OC x Drake Walker (tw: humiliation, Dom/sub, deep-throating): When Drake gets face to face with Leo to handle his little crush over Isabella (OC), he did not expect that. Well, neither did I. But @xxrainbow-princessxx wrote it so well.
Firm Hand, Soft Heart | Leo Rys x F!OC (tw: Dom/sub, choking, brat taming): This was one of the first fics of Kinktober and I squealed the moment I saw because I knew it'd be good. In this one-shot, Isabella (OC) was beyond mad at Leo and makes a list of demands that could complicate things for Cordonia. But the Crown Prince didn't settle for less than his kingdom deserves. Though Dom Leo is breathtaking when he's firm, @xxrainbow-princessxx also wrote him taking care of his "kitten", which is my favorite part.
Later this week, I’ll post November reviews and then I’ll give myself a break to catch up on fanfiction series and gather December fics.
Don’t forget to support these writers if you like their work!
Happy reading!

Undermount series: The Heir to House Nightbloom
Chapter 1 - Shocking News
Summary: The story revolves around Luxia (my MC), who has her life turned upside down when both her parents die and she’s back to Undermount, to live with her grandfather, Sir Emrys Nightbloom, a respected scholar and private professor to the most influential houses. Now, being an outsider to the elven society, she must learn its culture and traditions and how to fit in (or not). While falling in love with the heir to the Ascendent House, Tyril Starfury.
Author’s note: I am very excited with this idea and it had been playing in my mind for a while now, so I thought “what the hell!” and I am finally posting the first chapter here! I wanted to write a couple more chapters before start posting it because I know me and it will take me 84 years to post a new chapter 🤦 but oh welp. Maybe posting it now I force myself to write more regularly? Who knows. Anyway, sorry in advance for the lateness of upcoming chapters.
Disclaimer: Characters belong to Pixelberry Studios.
Rating: T (trigger warning: death, violence)
Pairing: Tyril Starfury x Luxia Nightbloom (F!Elf!MC) - read more about them here

Chapter 1 - Shocking News
The young lord leaned comfortably against his favorite armchair and looked outside the window, admiring the House Starfury Gardens.
That was one of the few moments in which he could sit down with a book in his hands and relax. Just relax.
As Tyril reached majority, more and more responsibilities were passed down to him by his father - Valir Starfury, the current Lord Starfury -, which the young man accepted proudly. Sooner or later, they knew he would inherit that duty as Valir aged and his health declined, so it was only natural that his first born child would take his place as the head of the House.
So, those rare moments of complete peace were always welcoming to the young man. Whenever he had a spare moment in his agenda, Tyril would lock himself in his study room to read and let his imagination run free. He firmly believed that few activities could bring him such joy as reading.
But today, somehow, he was unable to do so. He tried to pick up where he had stopped in the book, but was unable to focus. So he picked his favorite map and opened it. Sometimes, when he was unable to concentrate, he liked to open the old map and study all those places he had read about. Whitetower, Port Parnasus, Flotilla… Places he was sure he would never see in real life, only in his imagination.
But that proved to be an equally unsuccessful activity. The young lord did not know why, but he was feeling restless today.
Finally giving up after his fifth frustrated trial, Tyril decided to just relax. He watched the scene that unfolded in the house's gardens through the large windows for a few moments, the world complete serene.
He wondered to himself why the gardener was watering the plants when it was clear that it was going to rain soon. The sky was filled with dark and low clouds.
But his thoughts were soon interrupted when Adrina stormed into the room. He turned his face to his younger sister and raised a single eyebrow, surprised by that display of rushness.
"My dear brother, I've finally found you!" - she panted out of breath, her cheeks flushed. - "You won't believe what happened!" - but even before he could ask her what indeed had happened, she spilled it in a rush of words: - "Sir Nightbloom's son and daughter-in-law are dead and his granddaughter is back to Undermount!"
___________________
A week earlier
House Nightbloom was fated to great things.
At least, that was what Emrys Nightbloom stated and firmly believed.
Those from that house were known to be great scholars, masters of a greater magic and undying loyalty, with generations and generations of tutors and professors who dedicated their lives to teach young lords and ladies of the nobler houses, gaining status and prestige through the centuries.
They were one of the ancient houses, but had lost their importance through the years since the Great War, when Gustaf Nightbloom decided to flee instead of staying and fighting. But as Sir Emrys himself believed, better be an alive coward than a dead hero, because those that were able to move worlds were the alive ones. And that was what the past generations of the House Nightbloom had been doing since their embarrassing display during the fatidical war. They were great strategists and were able to restore some of their previous glory through the last millennia.
They would never be a noble house - unless one of their descendants married a noble house -, but they attended that social circle closely.
Sir Emrys Nightbloom was its current head and a very respected professor within the elven society, having taught some of the great houses' lords himself. Such as Lord Valir of House Starfury, the current Ascendent House. And his heirs, Young Lord Tyril and Lady Adrina. By this, it was easy to presume how old he was.
But Sir Nightbloom had never been ashamed of his age. In fact, he was very proud of it. He had lived longly and greatly, and was among one of the wisest citizens of Undermount.
And being that wise, he knew that he was doomed. House Nightbloom had no direct heir.
Of course it wouldn't cease to exist, but when he died - which he was pretty sure would happen sooner than later. It didn't matter he had been saying that for the last 30 years, he knew this year he would definitely go -, the House's leadership would pass on to his younger brother, Qildor, who wasn't much younger than him, but much less… wise. His hobbies were playing card games and drinking lots and lots of elven wine. Old Emrys was worried that his brother could bring shame and dishonor to the House Nightbloom again, after all those centuries of hard work from their ascendents.
If only his only son, Kal, hadn't decided to be an adventurer and leave Undermount… Sir Nightbloom would be feeling much more secure about the House's fate.
It was a cloudy Saturday afternoon, and the old man found himself in his garden - besides teaching, Sir Nightbloom's great passion was taking care of his collection of exquisite flowers and trees -, when Siveril, the butler, came running toward him.
"Urgent news, Master Nightbloom. I'm afraid they're disturbing."
"Well then, shoot!" - he said, not taking his eyes off of his majestic yellow hibiscus.
The other man nodded and stepped closer to whisper into his ear. Sir Nightbloom's eyes widened and he even let the pruning shears he was holding fall onto the floor, as shock spreaded through his body.
"Are you sure?" - he asked after Silveril helped him to sit down on a bench.
"I'm afraid so, sir."
"Both of them?" - the butler nodded. - "And… and… what about Luxia?"
___________________
Everything happened in a blur.
One moment, she was laughing and talking with her parents, and the next moment, the small village they lived in, Riverbend, and their house was invaded and they were attacked by a bandit raid that took the lives of a dozen of villagers. Including her parents.
Luxia's mother promptly ordered her to hide inside the supply closet in the kitchen. She heard everything, her parents' cries as the blade slashed through their flesh, drawing out blood, while she forced herself to be as quiet as possible as they were being killed.
She crawled out of her hiding place only after she was sure that the bandits had left her house.
The young elf was found by Kade - her neighbor and childhood friend - and other villagers just hours later, after the bandits had been dealt with. The young human's parents had been killed too, but luckily, he was outside at the time of the attack.
The last two days went on a frenzy. The village's physician had examined her and stated that, although she didn't suffer physically, she was deeply traumatized. She had the vague memory of being asked if she knew about any relative she could have, and she told them about her grandfather in the elven city of Undermount, to the north.
She still could hear their screaming ringing in her ears, and the scene she saw when she left her hiding place. She found her parents lying on the floor, both dead. There was so much blood, the furniture and walls were stained by it. Their bodies dilacerated. They were stabbed to death.
She kept staring at them, unable to move or to do anything. The neighbors' screamings and cries for help could be heard from outside as the bandits invaded other houses, but Luxia couldn't pay attention to any of it. All she could think about was that Mom and Dad were gone.
Now, two days later, she was again staring down at her parents' and other villagers' bodies. Kade's parents were among them. Luxia was lined up with the other survivors, paying their tributes to those who had lost their lives in that vicious attack.
Even though Kal's and Irin's corpses lied in front of her, covered by blankets, waiting to be buried along with others, she still felt numb and overwhelmed by all of those events. She was unable to let a single tear out.
The burial was long and painful, everyone helping and digging graves for the dead, and it took the whole day. Those who had lost their families were being taken care of by other villagers. A kind farmer took her and Kade under his protection.
She was left in one small bedroom by herself and her thoughts. The young elf lied down and tried to sleep, but she just couldn't shut her eyes. Her mind kept replaying the events of the past couple days again and again and endless questions popped up in her head.
How could that have happened? Could she have done something to save her parents? Should she have been killed with them? What was she going to do now? She had nobody. Of course, the people of Riverbend wouldn't throw her away and she knew a thing or two about medicine and cures… she could work with it.
She tossed around the narrow bed. Mom… Dad… What was she going to do? She already missed them. She felt so alone…
And then. An idea popped up in her head.
The girl sat up and looked over to the old desk across the room. Not thinking twice, she went over there, lighting up the candle and pulling a blank sheet of paper and a pen. And started writing.
Emrys Nightbloom. That was the name of her grandfather. She knew her father and he didn't see each other in the eye, but he was the only family she had left.
Although she had grown up in Riverbend, and she had few friends there, like Kade, they weren't her family. And she had been and would always be treated differently. Because she was an elf. Maybe, among others like her, she would feel less of an outcast. Although she didn't have much faith in it.
Her grandfather and she were nothing but strangers, but still, she was positive that he would take care of her. He was family after all, and one thing she knew for sure was that the most important thing in the elven world was your House. Your family. So, she had to try something.
That same night, Luxia sent away her letter. She didn't know exactly her grandfather's address, but she knew that just writing down the House's name meant something. Her father would often say that House Nightbloom had a sort of status. Hopefully, it was status enough to bring her letter to grandpa.
And so, only after three days she had sent her letter and had buried her parents, an answer from Sir Nightbloom himself arrived and he was taking her under his care.
Luxia left Riverbend that same night, taken by her grandfather's maid.

Thanks to @lxdy-starfury's blessed mind and talent, I'm now jumping into this ship too 😌
My Blades modern AU headcanon about how Tyril met Luxia (my Blades MC):
One day, Tyril is accompanying his father to the grocery store (he despises it, but Valin tends to buy more food than they need, so someone has to keep an eye on him), when he bumps into a woman coming from the opposite direction. They scowl at each other, Tyril might had told her to look at where she's going and she might had almost started an argument with him, but they end up heading their own ways.
But, when they're on the line to pay for their goods, his father collapses! Tyril usually is able to keep his head clear in emergencies, but this time he gets lost and almost freaks out. Right then, a stranger dash in front of him and start checking on Valin's vital signs while ordering Tyril to call 911. He recognizes it to be the woman he bumped into before. She says that she's confident that his father's going to be okay.
The ambulance finally arrives and Tyril goes with his father, barely having time to remember to thank the stranger before the doors are closed.
Several hours later, Valin's stable after his emergency surgery and is resting. Although Adrina is at the hospital with them and Tyril is exhausted due to that stressful episode, he doesn't want to go home. Someone comes in to check on their father and Tyril recognizes it to be the stranger who saved his father at the grocery store. The woman finally introduces herself: she's Luxia, a surgical intern at the hospital who happened to be at the right place and at the right time. She says that they don't have to worry, the surgery was a success and that Dr. Lahela is Edenbrook's best surgeon.
Tyril's embarrassed about how he behaved hours before and can't apologize and thank her enough. Luxia says that it's okay and that she's glad that both their father and Tyril are okay.
It's the first time Tyril takes a good look on her and he finds himself entranced by the young doctor's beauty and confident grin.
Tumblr media
Later, just as Tyril's about to go home (Adrina's spending the night with their father and he'll be back to check on them in the morning, since someone has to feed the cats, Threep and Loola), he overhears a couple of older doctors offering Luxia a ride home, since it's about to star snowing soon, which she refuses. "Don't worry, Dr. Lahela. I know today's your marriage anniversary with Dr. Sato. You two should enjoy yourselves."
Tyril hurriedly leaves the hospital while Luxia heads to the locker rooms to change her clothes.
She's surprised to see Tyril waiting her outside, with his Audi car. He tells her he wanted to thank her again and that it would be a pleasure to offer her a ride home.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She accepts.
-------------------------------------------------
And this is how their love story begins. 😌
Yep, I had to include Bryce and Rei (my OPH MC) in this lskfsldlals I miss them. Which means that this AU takes place some years in the future of Open Heart heh. Bryce's now one of the best surgeons (not that he wasn't before) at Edenbrook and Luxia is his intern. When I chose her skills in Blades, medicine was the first survival skill I picked for her and I always pictured her working as a healer/physician in the Blades universe, before starting the adventure with the party.
Tyril's everything how @lxdy-starfury describes and builds up his story because it's perfection. I can't get enough of it!!!! 😆

Tyril has a dark academia aesthetic while Luxia has... IDK how to describe her style actually? Skater-slash-grunge-slash-urban-slash-tomboy style?? How would you define it? The only thing I know is this how I dress 🤣 minus hats because I hate them
Tumblr media
Oversized denim jackets, black pants, cargo pants, hoodies, flanel shirts, sneakers. I'm obsessed with it and so is Luxia.
More of Modern AU Tyril x Luxia because @lxdy-starfury has created a monster and now I'm obsessed with it. And by monster I mean keeping Tyril stans alive by feeding us 😌

Tyril Starfury stood tall, his gracious features twisted in a scowl, as he studied his opponents. There were too many of them. He was cornered. There was no way out.
But he knew he must face it once and for all, with his head held high and weapon in hand. He was the heir of House Starfury after all, and he was back.
The elf took a daring step closer to it and--
"Tyril, are you okay?" - Luxia's voice startled him and he almost dropped the sponge he was holding.
"Uh. Yes."
She stopped right next to him, her emerald eyes shining curiously, the last plate in her hands. He watched a playful grin creeping upon her face as she watched the pile of dirty plates in the sink.
"Then, what are you waiting for? Have you never washed your own dishes, oh great 'Heir of House Starfury'?" - she was clearly making fun of him, deepening her voice to sound like him, but Tyril was unable to feel angry. All he could feel was this deep feeling of embarrassment.
No, he had never washed dishes his whole life. They used to have the house staff to do it. But they weren't there anymore.
"Uh. No." - his cheeks and ears turned deep purple.
"I thought you'd use magic to wash them?"
"I'm not using magic for such a trivial thing. I refuse to."
Luxia giggled before smiling at the elf beside her.
Right after Tyril knew that his house was broke after his departure, he promptly said he would bring honor to House Starfury once again and that he was in debt with his father and Adrina for enduring everything throughout that whole year he'd been away. And he offered to wash the dishes himself.
Luxia felt so proud of him. Tyril was such an honorable elf. And also so cute when he blushed like that. How could she not fall for him?
"Here, let me help you. Or better, teach you." - she took the sponge out of his hand before he could protest. She knew him well enough to know that he was too proud to ask for help. Even though he had this desperate look in his face, like he had right now.
"No, Luxia, you're a guest, you should go rest with the others…"
"Nope. I'm not tired and I ain't going nowhere. I won't let you face this monstrous pile of dirty dishes alone." - she turned to him, smiling broadly. - "I told you, didn't I? That you would have to get used to someone caring about you."
A bashful and grateful smile spread on Tyril's handsome face and he let her help him with the dishes.
______________________________________________________________
"And this was the last one!" - Luxia announced with a happy sigh as they dried their hands a while later. All dishes were washed. They had won that battle.
"Thank you so much for your help, Luxia. Truly." - he looked down, his long dark hair partially covering his face. - "You always help me and with the most trivial things. I can't help but feel ashamed of myself."
"Tsk! Nonsense, Tyril. I bet all these fancy elves out there don't wash their dishes too. You and I just had vastly different lives and none of them is better or worse. It's just a different reality." - she reached out and put a strand of his hair behind his ear, smiling brightly at him. - "But I'm glad our paths have crossed and we can share these little moments and get to know our differences together now."
Luxia noticed Tyril's blue eyes shining as he stared at her intensely.
"...May I kiss you?" - he murmured, almost in a growl.
Her smile widened, her eyes shining in mischief.
"Oh? Do you want to thank me?" - she chuckled, but Tyril said nothing, he just kept staring at her lively, perfect face, waiting for her response. - "You may, Heir of House Starfury."
The short elf gasped in surprise as she felt Tyril's strong arm wrapping around her waist, flushing her close to his chest, his other hand lifting her chin as he leaned down, his lips finding hers midway.
Luxia sighed contently, cupping his face, and kissed him back with passion, the air around them going electric. They both felt that fiery hunger growing inside themselves, Luxia's hands pulling his hair, Tyril's grip tightening around her hips. His mouth descended to her jaw and neck, and a low moan escaped her lips, before she giggled to herself, feeling goosebumps all over her skin.
"When you make these noises… I can hardly contain myself, Luxia." - he groaned, his eyes burning with desire.
"Normally I'd tell you to not contain yourself. But I think it's best if we not go further at your dad's kitchen."
Tyril smiled, and his lips was back to hers, kissing her lightly and sweetly. Luxia adored how he could be both so soft and have such fire within him.
Adrina had just showed Mal, Imtura and Nia their rooms and was back to the main foyer, looking for Luxia to take her to her own guest room, as Tyril asked her right after lunch.
Was he still taking care of the dishes? Luxia probably was with him.
The elegant elf found the two elves in the kitchen, trading languid kisses, in their own world. She smiled to herself and turned around, giving them some more privacy and patiently waiting in the hall.
"... You're going to show me your room later, right?" - Luxia whispered into his ear and Tyril smirked.
"Perhaps."
She giggled mischievously and they hesitantly pulled apart.
"I should go. Adrina must be looking for me to show my room."
"Yes." - he grinned at her and watched as Luxia left the kitchen.
The short elf found Tyril's sister coming from down the hall, smiling at her.
"Shall we go now?"
"Did you see us?" - the outcast asked, with a smirk, her lips slightly swollen.
"Just a little. I haven't seen Tyril smile and look this relaxed since… ever."
Adrina watched the brightest and biggest smile spreading on Luxia's face.
______________________________________________________________
"Brother, since you're finally here." - she called him later as he finally left the kitchen, after drying all dishes. Another battle won.
"Adrina. Did you take them to their rooms?" - she nodded, motioning him to follow her. Without thinking twice, Tyril followed his younger sister down the hall. - "Did they find it to their liking? Did you leave Luxia in the main guest room?"
"Yes, Tyril, they liked it. Imtura thanked me a few times for finally being able to sleep without Mal's snoring." - she turned to her brother, smiling. - "You should have seen Luxia's reaction as she entered the room. The brightest smile showed up on her face and she said something about it being triple the size of the house she shared with her brother. I told her that it is our biggest room in the house and that you personally picked it for her." - she saw a soft blush reaching Tyril's cheeks. - "I can see why you're so fond of her. She's so bubbly. And talkative." - Adrina chuckled as she reminisced Luxia talking about her old boring life in Riverbend and her brother Kade and how Tyril joined the party and how she always wanted to know more about the elven world. - "So you and Luxia are together?" - she asked casually as if she had not seen them sharing kisses just a while ago.
"Uh…" - the purple in Tyril's face turned deeper. - "I mean, I care deeply about her."
"I can see it. It's all written in your face. You two complement each other well. You're complete opposites, but in a good way." - they finally stopped in front of a wooden door. Tyril knew it was the storage room.
Adrina opened it and the next thing he knew was that she was placing a pile of mails and boxes on his hands.
"What--"
"Here's your mail, brother." - she winked at him. - "You may need some help with it."
And now Tyril Starfury had another battle to fight.

Lullaby (Tyril x Luxia (F!ElfMC))
Author’s note: Woooo BOLAS is coming back on Wednesday and I'm so excited! 😆 So here's a bit more of Tyril and Luxia closure and fluffiness ❤️
Disclaimer: Characters belong to Pixelberry Studios.
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Tyril x F!ElfMC (Luxia)
Word count: +1.4K
It was the third night in a row that Luxia couldn't sleep. It didn't help that Mal snored too loud either. Giving up, the young elf patted around until she found what she was looking for and stood up.
She took a look around herself, her companions fast asleep, but one. As expected, there was no sign of Tyril. It was his round to watch.
Luxia just walked a bit far away, towards the lake they found that afternoon, far enough to not be heard, but close enough to run back to their camp in case something went wrong.
She sat down on the soft grass, and took a deep calming breath and her fingers started dancing on the strings, playing a gentle sad song.
Whenever she had trouble to go to sleep, Kade would play this lullaby to her. It had been like that since she could remember.
She missed Kade so much.
___________________________________________________________________
Tyril had just secured the area around their camp, preventing it from any possible attackers, when he noticed the empty space where Luxia was supposed to be sleeping with the others. He gently woke Imtura up and asked her to watch while he searched for the missing elf.
Just a few steps away going south from the camp, he heard a soft melancholic melody. The elf was blindly guided through the thick forest, following the source of that sound.
He found the short elf sitting by herself, just by the side of a lake. She was the one playing it. He patiently waited Luxia to finish her song before approaching.
"You should be resting." - Luxia startled to the sudden voice surging behind her, immediately throwing her brother's lute. She looked over her shoulder, heart pounding.
"Tyril! You scared me."
"I'm sorry. I thought a warrior like you would be ready for anything. Especially an elf warrior."
Luxia wasn't sure if Tyril was being serious or if he was mocking her. His expression was indecipherable as always. But she caught the glimpse of a smirk.
"Anyway, I am resting." - she said stubbornly, picking the lute up from the floor.
"I meant sleeping. We're going into Deadwood tomorrow and we'll need all our focus while in there." - he stopped by her side. The tall elf watched a frown forming on Luxia's delicate features.
"I know. But I can't sleep." - she pouted, her long fingers caressing the instrument chords.
"I wasn't aware of this instrument before."
"Oh, this? This is Kade's. I've been taking care of it until we… you know."
"And I didn't know you played as well." - she giggled and Tyril thought that her laughter was the loveliest sound he had ever heard. Even more lovely than the lullaby she played.
"When I was young I used to have trouble sleeping, so Kade used to play lullabies to me. This one's my favorite, so he taught me how to play it. But I only know how to play a little; he's the musical genius of the family. I am a much better dancer." - Tyril noticed a fond smile forming on the short elf's lips.
"It's a lovely song." - he murmured.
Her emerald eyes stared back at him, searching for his eyes in the dark.
"Did you hear it?" - she asked. Tyril fought a smile back to her childish excitement.
She was as beautiful as the moon above them.
"Just the last part of it."
A gracious smile spread on Luxia's face and Tyril thought to himself that he would like to see her smiling more often.
He had noticed that the young elf, although good humored, also would get deep in thought, her delicate and pretty features twisting in a worried frown, probably thinking about her brother.
"Let me play it for you, then! This is like, the only song I can play fairly well." - she giggled excitedly.
Tyril sat down next to her as Luxia took a deep breath, focusing, and she started the first chords.
While she played it, he took the time to admire her underneath the moonlight. She had her eyes closed, her lilac skin illuminated by the moonlight, the lute in her arms. So calm. So beautiful.
She opened her eyes as the song finished again, and caught the other elf smiling at her. Luxia felt her cheeks getting slightly hot.
"So? Any thoughts?"
"It's indeed a beautiful song. It's fascinating how such a beautiful melody can come from just a few strings."
Luxia smiled broadly.
"Yes! I love music. How it touches your soul, you know? We can express our feelings through music." - he noticed her emerald eyes staring curiously at him. - "Do you play, Tyril?"
"Unfortunately, I don't have the gift."
"Don't be dramatic, I'm sure you can play this one. It's simpler than it seems. But you have to have discipline to train everyday. This is why I'm not a fine player; I couldn't stay focused for too long." - she flashed him a childish, bashful smile. - "But you're much more the focused type than me, I'm sure you'll be playing like a pro in minutes!"
Tyril couldn't hold back a grin to Luxia's liveliness. She was always so bubbly, despite everything. He wished he was a bit more like her.
"I guess, we could try… if you're willing to try to teach me." - he said, inspired by her enthusiasm.
Luxia's face all lighted up and she promptly put the musical instrument into his arms.
"Okay, so you have to hold it like this, close to your chest. Perfect." - she started explaining him, her smaller, softer hand guiding his above the old instrument, as she told him where to place his fingers.
But Tyril seemed unable to pay any attention to it when all his focus was placed on somewhere else... On her face. On the warmth and softness of her hand on his. On the melody of her voice. On her delicious smell. On her.
"Are you even listening to me?" - Luxia asked, finally turning to face him, their eyes locking instantly.
His deep blue eyes shined as bright as the moon above them, full of curiosity, and something else… yearning?
"Tyril..." - she murmured, letting herself get lost into his eyes and infinite beauty. His eyes glanced to her lips. Tyril had already noticed that he enjoyed the way she pronounced his name, as if the words danced in her mouth. - "Are you okay…?" - she asked softly, feeling her cheeks getting hotter. He'd never been that close to her. She could even feel his warmth radiating from his body.
"Yes." - his response came out as a growl, and Luxia's heart flipped inside her chest, noticing his eyes darkening a little. There seemed to have some kind of… hunger in him. Lust.
She felt her heartbeat speeding up as Tyril's hands gently took hers in his, warm and a bit calloused. She was so entranced by him.
None of them said nothing; there was nothing to be said either. The silence spoke for them. They both leaned a bit closer, as if magnetism pulled them, their eyes gazing into each other's mouth--
"LUXIA! TYRIL!" - they suddenly heard Mal's voice, a few feet away, snapping them out of their trance. - "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!"
Luxia watched as Tyril's face turned deep purple.
"I'm sorry, Luxia." - he promptly stood up.
"There's no need to say sorry--"
"We should go back to the camp. We're entering Deadwood tomorrow and we should be at our finest. We shall get some sleep." - the words left his mouth in a hurry, the tall elf still blushing violently.
And before Luxia could say anything else, he turned and walked back to their camp, his tall and dark figure disappearing into the trees.
Luxia rose up from the floor, the lute hanging in her hands, still processing all that had just happened.
She and Tyril… she and Tyril...
And then, she giggled to herself. She and Tyril had almost kissed. Kissed! She was sure of it. So sure of it
The short elf turned her face up, gazing to the full moon illuminating her and all of Deadwood's border. A cheeky smile spread through her face.
That little moment with Tyril had her spirits lifted. She knew things would get fluider between them soon. And she was so excited and ready for it. She's been whipped by that elf since she had laid her eyes on him.
She couldn't wait to get to know more and more about Tyril Starfury.

Midnight Talk (Tyril x Luxia (F!Elf))
Author’s note: I was missing a bit of closure between Tyril and MC before Chapter 7 and that kiss, so I wrote this short piece that takes place between chapters 6 and 7. Let me know your thoughts and/or if you'd like to be tagged on my Tyril x Luxia fanfics! Keep safe and wash your hands, people <3 My masterlist
Disclaimer: Characters belong to Pixelberry Studios.
Rating: PG
Pairing: Tyril x Luxia (F!ElfMC)
Word count: +1.2K
The young elf tiptoed out to the deck, making no sound. Her party had left the cursed island for a couple days now, and they were heading to Undermount.
Although getting the second Shard had been successful, catching her sleep definitely has been unsuccessful. After a few hours blinking into darkness, trying to force herself to sleep, Luxia finally gave up. Mal, Nia and Threep were fast asleep, while Imtura was gladly piloting the Wraith, whistling some kind of a pirate lullaby to herself. Luxia looked around, knowing that Tyril was awake somewhere in the ship. She had already noticed that he rarely seemed to get a rest.
As she crossed the deck, the only thing she could hear was her heart beating hard on her ears and the waves gently swaying around the pirate ship. With a sudden move, she hid herself behind a giant wooden box, her light eyes focused on the tall and lonely figure gazing out to the night sky.
Luxia has been feeling all over the moon since Tyril agreed on being part of her little party of adventurers. She had lived among humans her whole life and only have met a few elves, but whenever she tried to get to know them, they would simply scorn at her and turn away.
So, having Tyril around was perfect. She wanted to know so many things about the elf realm, about their history, society, culture, everything. She wanted to know where she had came from. If he might had an idea of who might be her family, if she still had any. Who was her. And getting that information from a marvelous elf like Tyril was even better.
But should she just go talk to him? Or wait for a moment? But when was the right moment? If she showed up suddenly, would that startle him? Would he be open to talk to her in the first place?
"I know you're there." - Luxia jumped in surprise to the sound of Tyril's voice.
"Uh, hi…" - she waved at him, a sheepish grin forming on her lips. He just raised a questioning eyebrow to her.
"Hello, Luxia."
That seemed welcoming enough to her and she crossed the ship to his direction.
"Lovely night, isn't it?" - she asked casually, leaning against the railing. - "And what a view…" - she took a deep breath, enjoying the salty air of the ocean, the breeze on her face.
"It just seems to be an endless sea to me. But if you like it, be my guest."
Luxia turned to face the tall elf beside her. They have known each other for a over a week now, and he wasn't exactly the most optimistic and sociable creature on Earth, but she knew that was his way of trying to be a bit sympathetic. He was as intimidating as he was fascinating. If Tyril didn't want to interact with you, he would simply grunt something in response before walking away to find a place where he could be left alone (he usually did this whenever Mal was near him).
But he didn't leave this time.
"...But I doubt you came here to talk about the ocean." - he pointed out, standing by her side.
Luxia chuckled softly, turning her back to the waters and crossing her arms, mimicking Tyril's pose. He always looked like he was stand watching.
"Clever. Very clever. You're right, I didn't come here to talk about the ocean. I came here to get to know more about the elven world, actually."- he said nothing, so she just continued. - "Its history, culture, customs, society, laws… everything you know. I was mostly raised among humans, so I don't know much about my… your… erm, our world." - he listened to her carefully as she babbled. Luxia felt her cheeks getting slightly hotter to the way Tyril stared back at her. He watched her with such intensity.... His eyes were as blue as the ocean around them itself, so blue that she felt herself getting lost in them… - "Plus, it would be good to know what to expect before reaching Undermount, right?" - she concluded abruptly, before she drowned herself into his eyes.
"There wasn't any elf in your village?"
"There were a few… but none of them ever wanted to talk about it. I guess they didn't know much about the elf world either. I don't know about them, but I've kind of always felt a little out of place, you know? And as I grew older, the feeling that I was different from humans just grew too."
Tyril finally looked at the young elf beside him. Not that he hadn't noticed her before. He had, obviously. Luxia was different from any other elf he had met before. First, although elves were known to be taller than humans, Luxia was shorter than an average elf, reaching the height of an average human girl. Her hair was as dark as the night, contrasting with her pale lilac skin and big bright emerald eyes.
Eyes that stared back at him with infinite curiosity.
"Well… ask away. I'll see if I can help you."
The most dazzling smile spread out on Luxia's face as she first bumped the air. The taller elf just raised an eyebrow, but truth be told, he always got more and more fascinated as he got to know her. Luxia had such a vibrant energy, so much fire in her, so much life inside her that Tyril couldn't help but be entranced by her enthusiasm and will power.
She was so powerful and didn't know it yet.
The two elves spent the next couple hours talking about the elven world.
"Wow… I can't believe it. So much information…" - Luxia sighed, knowledge filling her head.
"But about you specifically… about who's your family… I'm afraid I don't know what to tell you, Luxia." - Tyril frowned.
"Nah, it's okay. What you have just told me is so much more than I could have ever imagined or tried to search on my own." - she smiled reassuringly. - "Man, I can't wait to tell Kade everything. We spent some time at my village's library researching about elven world, but nothing was as complete as this. He would be thrilled to know all this too." - she smiled fondly to the memory of her brother.
Tyril knew by now that this Kade human was the short elf's only family. She was always mentioning him and how she had to bring him back.
"He'll know, Luxia. I will tell him if he wishes when you bring him back."
Her grin widened as she looked up to him.
"Thank you, Tyril." - her face turned a deeper shade of purple as she blushed. A lovely shade of purple. - "And, uh, if you feel like talking too, just know that I'm here, okay? I'm all ears."
Luxia didn't know what to expect; Tyril was so mysterious, he was indecipherable to her. But instead of grunting anything, she watched the hint of a grateful smile on his lips. And gods knew how much she wanted to just pull he in and kiss him until she was out of breath and felt her knees weaken. But she controlled herself.
Instead, she just stretched out and they both gazed out into the water, feeling the cool salty ocean breeze in silent companionship, feeling a bit closer to each other than when the night started. Tagging @brightpinkpeppercorn @hellomynameisdevi @thequeenchoices
