This put me in the feels 🫠
You and your group had finally scored a win. After so many days of travelling without a destination in mind, just the hope of finding a safe haven to rebuild your lives, Rick and Daryl stumbled upon the prison. It was a chance for you all to bunker down and grow some roots. Have a life without constantly being on the run.
It was here, a few months later, when you all thought you were safe from the walkers, no other communities nearby, where war was declared by an egotistical psychopath who called himself the Governor. He started a war against your family for control over youse and to take the prison. He was blinded by rage, so much so he lead his people blindly a battle.
Losses were gained and mourned on both sides. Both groups held their ground, desperate to keep hold of the life they started to build. Forcing the governor to retreat, a party was sent out to follow to finish what was started. Where your group stumbled upon the massacre, orchestrated by the one they placed their trust in.
Rick took mercy on the survivors back at their stronghold, offering them a place at the prison as long as they contributed to the new ways of life.
Amongst the group brought in, one guy in particular, Dominic, took a special interest in you. You never understood why. Ever since he came back and joined your family at the prison he’s been persistent in his attempts to get into your pants. Which unbeknownst to you, made someone’s blood boil as they silently seethed in the background, watching, wishing he’d do something to show him you’ll never be his.
**** ****
Stretching out, my back cracks deliciously as I shield my eyes from the burn of the sun coming in through the small window. I groan as I sit up, trying wake up. Like every other day, today was going to be long.
Padding out into the area we use as the dining hall I approach Carol, who’s cooking up breakfast. “Morning,” I yawn.
“Morning,” Carol greets as she hands me a plate, motioning me off to go sit down and eat.
I take a seat across from Rick who’s talking to Daryl and Hershel, planning the days work and the importance of resuming clearing out the bodies of the walkers. Rick glances up at me, lips forming a smile in greeting.
“Y/N, I need you to give Daryl and I and the rest a hand with cleaning up,” Rick informs me as I begin shovelling food into my mouth.
Glancing up at him I suppress a groan at my least favourite task, nodding in agreement. Hearing the door open across the room, I glance up to see Dominic walk in beside Tyrese, when our eyes meet he throws me a wink before retrieving a plate of his own. I give him a small smile before I focus my attention back to my food. Like always he plops down next to me, closer then need be.
“Morning, beautiful,” he greets. The only acknowledgment I give him is a nod of my head. Wishing I could just eat in peace. I was too tired for conversation.
“Dominic, I want you on the fence,” Ricks gruff reply comes and I glance up, confused. The vein on the side of his neck is protruding and his one hand on the table is clenched.
“Ah, sorry was planning on giving Y/N a hand today,” he remarks.
Rick bristles at the challenge. “We have enough people clearing out the bodies. I want you on the fence,” Rick stares him down, as though begging him to say something against his orders.
Shrugging in defeat Dominic just nods. “Well then, guess I’ll see you later sometime beautiful,” he gives my hand a squeeze, resting it there for longer then needed before he takes his empty plate to the wash basin.
Finishing up my own breakfast I deposit my own plate, walking back to my cell to grab my knives and hand gun. Knives strapped to me where they belong I follow Rick into the other cell block where the dead bodies are waiting.
“He bothering you?” He suddenly questions. At my confused glance he shakes his head, elaborating. “Dominic.”
“Oh, no he’s fine, little harmless flirting ain’t hurting no one,” I tease, bumping my shoulder into his.
“Maybe I should start flirting with ya then,” he drawls. Catching me off guard my feet stumble beneath me, causing me to almost trip over.
Reaching out to steady me Rick pulls me back, hand in my forearm, a teasing grin on his face as he appraises me. Being this close to him made me realise how blue and beautiful and his eyes shine.
Ricks always been a beautiful specimen, everyone drools over him when he’s out working in the sun. Curls sticking to his forehead. Sweat dripping down him, causing his shirt to stick to his toned body. Bronze skin glowing under the rays of the sun.
Snapping out of my trance I realise I’d been staring at Rick. Though to be fair he seems to be in a trance of his own as his eyes roam my face, eyes gentle.
Clearing my throat I snap him back to reality as I take a step back, nodding my head in the direction of the cell.
Upon arrival, I couldn’t suppress the groan that bubbled up my throat at the amount of bodies that needed to be piled outside. “Let’s get this over with.”
I approach the closest walker, bending to grab its arm as Rick grabs its legs, helping me drag it outside.
**** ****
Countless of walkers later, suns rays finally letting up, I all but collapse onto the grass, wiping the sweat from my forehead. I lay back down on the grass closing my eyes as I enjoy the slight breeze. Hearing movement beside I open my eyes and my gaze falls upon the appreciative smile of Dominic’s as he eyes me.
“Hey,” I politely greet, resting my eyes again.
“Hey, you’re looking more beautiful then ever,” he teases beside me.
Laughing at him I sit up properly. “I’m so sore, I just want to crawl into bed and sleep tomorra away,” I groan as I stretch the muscles of my shoulders.
“Turn around, I’ll massage them for you. After the day you had it’ll feel amazing,” he promises. Too tired to argue I turn my back to him, facing the pile where I see Rick and Daryl whispering to one another.
Dominic’s hands land on my shoulders and begin kneading, thumbs also massaging my shoulder blades. My eyes threaten to close as my body completely relaxes at how good it feels. Yet before they fully close I notice Rick watching us over Daryl’s shoulder. He looks worked up. Eyebrows furrowed and fists once again clenched as though somethings bothering him.
I tilt my head in confusion at him, silently asking if everything was okay. I see him take a step forward towards you but Daryl braces his hands on his shoulders and seems to be furiously whispering to him but Ricks whole attention is locked on mine.
As Dominic continues massaging my shoulders, his thumb presses into a knot, making my head drop back onto his shoulder. I groan out as he works on kneading the knot out. Hearing footsteps approaching my head lifts and eyes snap open.
“Y/N. Can I talk to you?” Rick growls out, stalking away towards the side of the prison before I can respond.
I glance over my shoulder at Dominic and cast him an apologetic smile, telling him I’d meet him inside. Standing up I trail after Rick, noticing the way his body seems to be thrumming with tension.
“Rick?” I tentatively approach him, being cautious with the way he’s been acting. “Everything okay?”
When Rick refuses to respond I step up closer to him, reaching out a hand to rest on his forearm as I try to speak again. “Ric-“ I’m cut off as he spins towards me and grips my forearms, shoving me into the wall of the prison.
Before I can speak Ricks mouth is upon mine, fast and desperate, almost needy as I stand there frozen in shock. As he continues to move against me, I snap out of my daze and fervently move my lips against his, hands reaching up to cup his cheeks.
Rick presses my body against the wall, breaking the kiss to look down out me with so much tenderness in his eyes I’m unable to speak. “What’s wrong?” You try again.
“I couldn’t stand the sight of him touching you any longer. The way he so desperately pines for your attention,” he growls out, resting his forehead against mine as he breathes heavily. “I want all your attention. To be the one to make you laugh. To be the one to massage you after a tiring day of work.”
“Oh, Rick,” I press my lips back against his. This kiss is soft and gentle, conveying words both of you are not get ready to voice into the open air.
The dying sun behind Rick casts its last breath over his skin, making his blue eyes shine so prominently. He looked so irrevocably handsome.
“There’s never been anything between Dominic and I. He may have feelings for me but they’re nothing I feel for him but friendship,” I feel the need to reassure him.
Smiling down at me he laces my fingers with me, pulling me away from the wall. “Come on, it’s getting dark. Let’s go eat.”
Walking into the dining hall hand in hand with Rick felt normal, as though we’ve held hands many times before. I felt giddy walking beside with his hand in mind, his thumb stroking the back of my hand, content.
Yet as we enter the room, everyone’s gaze locks onto our interlaced hands. Conscious at the states I shrink and try to pull my hand from his grip but Rick doesn’t allow it. He tightens his hold, confidently walking us over to Carol where he passes me a plate before grabbing one for himself.
He walks us over to his usual table with Daryl and Hershel and those on the council. As we walk I notice Dominic’s gaze locked onto our hands as he enters the room. I pray to whatever God out there that he doesn’t do anything to antagonise Rick.
Dominic’s usual swagger seems to deflate as his eyes flicker between Rick and I. Almost possessively Rick seems to tug me in closer to his side when he notices Dominic. The action causes warmth to spread over my body.
I loved the way Rick staked his claim. Unabashedly telling Dominic and anyone else watching I was his and he was mine.
When we sat down, side by side I glanced up to see Daryl’s eyes on us, a smirk tugging at his lips as he nods to me. I tentatively smile back before Rick one again steals my whole attention as he converses with Hershel.
The way he unintentionally reeks strength and dominance. I shifted closer to him, clasping his hand underneath the table to feel his skin on mine. I couldn’t contain my smile when he turned and kissed my forehead. I felt safe with him. Content.

The Sacramento Kings have made the NBA postseason for the first time since 2006. What’s changed?
Tumblr media
The Sacramento Kings have made the NBA postseason for the first time since 2006. What’s changed? By Thomas Schlachter, CNN CNN —  Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day” was topping the Billboard Hot 100, Owen Wilson had just made his debut as Lightning McQueen in “Cars” and Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray was counting down the days to his sixth birthday. May 2006 was a long time ago and for all those involved with the Kings, it must feel like even longer. Sacramento has not played an NBA postseason game in almost 17 years but after turning a corner this season, fans in the Golden 1 Center will finally have something to cheer for after the 82 games of the regular season conclude. The Kings clinched a playoff berth following the team’s 120-80 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. They now sit with a record of 46-30 and become the third team to secure a spot in the Western Conference playoffs, joining the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies. With De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis leading a new era in Sactown, there is hope that the return to the NBA Playoffs isn’t just a flash in the pan, but a sign of things to come for future years. Trading places There were a lot of questions raised when the Kings opted to trade brilliant, young point guard Tyrese Haliburton to the Indiana Pacers in early 2022. Haliburton was drafted No. 12 by the Kings and was seen by many as the point guard of the future for the franchise. The 6-foot-5-inch playmaker was named to the 2021 NBA All-Rookie First Team and finished third in Rookie of the Year voting after his first season in the league. After averaging 13 points, 5.3 assists and three rebounds in his first year, Haliburton kept up the pace during his sophomore season and recorded a career-high 38 points and 17 assists early into his second year. However, the Kings began to have concerns over his long-term fit with Fox in their backcourt and a subsequent blockbuster trade sent Haliburton to the Pacers. Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson followed the guard to the Hoosier State with Justin Holiday, Jeremy Lamb, a 2023 second-round pick and, most importantly, Sabonis heading to California. Like Fox alongside Haliburton, Sabonis was a star in a team which was not particularly well constructed around his skillset. The Lithuanian has excelled since arriving in Sacramento and is having one of his best years in the NBA in the 2022/23 season. Sabonis – son of Hall of Fame center Arvydas Sabonis – is averaging career highs in rebounds and assists at the time of writing and returned to the All-Star team for already the third time in his young career. Speaking to The Athletic shortly after his trade, it seemed that the 7-foot-1-inch star knew there were good things waiting for the Kings. Sabonis said: “They brought me here, and we want to change things, you know? “It’ll be a lot of fun. It’s just little by little, I think we’re doing great things and going in the right direction. We’re gonna have a big summer – we’ve been talking about it. And then we’ll have a good training camp and get all the people together, you know?” All change in the off-season After a dismal start to the 2021/22 season, Luke Walton was fired from his role as the Kings’ head coach. Walton was replaced by veteran coach Alvin Gentry on an interim basis and upon the completion of the campaign, the 68-year-old was also let go. The Kings then appointed the associate head coach of the Golden State Warriors, Mike Brown, as their new head coach before the start of the 2022/23 season. Brown had just won an NBA championship with the Warriors after a finals win against the Boston Celtics, and was tasked with bringing some of his winning know-how to Sactown. The 53-year-old has completely overhauled how the Kings approach the game and has turned the franchise into one of the most exciting offenses in the league. Along with Brown, guard/forward Kevin Huerter and shooting guard Malik Monk became key pieces for the Kings and No. 4 draft pick Murray also joined up with the squad. It is no surprise that the arrival of these pieces has coincided with the overhaul of the Kings’ offense. Since moving to the West Coast, Huerter and Murray are shooting over six threes a game, and both are draining shots from deep at over 40%. Monk is just slightly behind the pair in terms of three-pointers attempted (3PA) and three-point percentage (3P%) but helps demonstrate how far this Kings offense has come and the planning that went into building the squad. The Kings ranked 21st in terms of three-point attempts-per-game last season while also shooting from deep at a 24th-rated 34.4%. This term, Brown’s team has climbed to seventh in the 3PA rankings with 36.9 attempts a game at a clip of 37.4% – eighth best in the NBA – again demonstrating the offensive changes that have been made. Another contributing factor to the Beam Team’s success are the performances of Fox in the clutch. The brilliant 25-year-old is on top of the NBA’s Clutch Player Ladder and has been vital in helping his side grind out crucial wins in key moments of the season. Attack is the best form of defense So far this season, the Kings have led the league in points-per-game with a staggering 120.9. Last season, the Kings finished 16th in this ranking, averaging just 110.3 points per outing. The transition the team has made and the additions to the roster have been vital in terms of their increased offensive numbers. Summing up the franchise, the Kings top the offensive rating rankings but sit 26th in terms of defensive rating – demonstrating their all-out attack mentality. This was encapsulated in their record-breaking game against the Los Angeles Clippers. In the second highest scoring matchup in NBA history, the Kings won 176-175 in an incredible offensive display. Fox scored 42 and added 12 assists with Monk leading the team in scoring with an impressive 45 from the bench with six threes. ‘Light the beam!’ The fans at the Golden 1 Center have completely bought into the project and have also played their part in the Kings’ success this season. After every home win, the Kings project a huge purple beam into the sky, in what has become a key part of the culture created at the franchise. With a win approaching, the entire arena erupts with chants of “LIGHT THE BEAM! LIGHT THE BEAM!” which has created a social media sensation. While some opposing teams and fans have used this to mock the Kings if they lose a game, the beam has helped create a special relationship between the fans and the franchise. Whatever happens to Sacramento in the playoffs, it has turned things around this year while capturing the hearts of its fans by playing run-and-gun, fearless basketball. Everyone in Sactown will be hoping they continue to light the beam throughout the postseason. Read the full article

ENGINEERING CAMP DAY 5 PT 2: So when I snuck down the stairs around 11 Saranya, two of her friends, Anirudh, Nik, Mortar, Naga, Hart, Tyrese, and Braxton were at commons and Tyrese said I scared him. Not gonna lie the first while was a lot of Snapchat shit talk. I just sat and looked over Anirudh’s shoulder and listened and it was annoying at times. Naga and co. were still mad at Jonny for hanging out with girls or ditching them or whatever and were messaging dumb insults, then sort of moved on to Jaylean (especially harsh criticisms) and then this random kid Nick. At one point Naga like laughed and said “Ava’s so quiet” or something (mainly just to me) and I told him that I just didn’t really care about talking shit. He jokingly said youre a better person than the rest of us but it was chill. To me the gossip stuff was evidence that bullying and being like cruel and vindictive over social media really is baseless, like there was no real beef with anyone, just kids saying bad things for the sake of it. Also there were times when we heard noises and people got scared but not as much as when Jennifer came down the elevator. She was totally chill though as expected, through the night there were two other counselors who were also chill. But after she left a fucking policeman came out the elevator and walked through the room and asked if any of us were the ones who called the cops and we said no, then he just walked out the door and outside, that was crazy scary. A couple other kids came down, then at one point we all snuck up the stairs cause Jennifer told us we should knock on this chill counselors door to scare them and as like all 12 of us were going I saw people above and we all ran downstairs and through the hall and to the couch. It turned out to just be a chill prep kid who was kind of wondering why people were arguing and the hot fútbol kid, who ended up being named Sebastian. Also he is actually French, I know I described him as Latino but I more meant like Spanish, I’m not going to change my past descriptions, but I’m sorry. Anyway, he sat down next to me and I got to talk to him some. Around 12 or 12:15 we got Mario Kart running again (people had played like 30 min ago) because he was rly nice about helping me fix it and it went between me and him playing, him and Tyrese, and me and Tyrese, so I was sitting between the two of them. I did poorly🫰. By this time people were more chill but the counselors told us that the police were called because someone had heard a girl scream outside?? Idk it was strange but led to many jokes about the source/reason for the screaming. I learned that Sebastian (he went by Seb, also his accent was very cute) had grown up in France and lived in the US for like four years now, and that he goes to St James academy. We talked about some stuff like how he had ran through plants with burrs (he didn’t know the word in English lol) and he had to shave his legs to get them off lol so his legs had some cuts on them. He also asked for my Snapchat and I had to go through the whole yes I’m allowed to have mehh I just don’t really want it thing which he was cool about. The actual convo wasn’t super flirty per say, but he had his arm over the couch by my head, and contextually and visually it was flirting fore sure. For the next hour it was just more sitting and mild chatting or standing and talking about police stuff. By 2:15 people were sort of considering leaving and Seb lowkey asked me if I wanted to go on a walk?? And everyone was kinda getting up and if I wanted to I probably could’ve just gone to the staircase with him then but I just kinda lingered and stayed between him and the others instead cause I was scared lol. So I don’t know that’s something to think about. At like 2:20 fucking Choncey (a camp counselor) or whatever his fucking name is walked in and told us all to go to our rooms and Hart or someone said we had permission and then Choncey was like no you don’t. So we cleaned up trash and timidly walked back to the stairs and people were already talking about coming back later.
So I went to my room and stayed for like ten minutes before I got a groupme message from Hart saying they were going to meet on level 0 at 2:45. So I thought about it and stressed a bit before leaving very slowly and going to the staircase, where I heard other students coming down the stairs so I stopped and then it turned out to be Tyrese (who I accidentally scared again), Naga, and Seb. When I saw Tyrese I said something about worrying about Choncey catching us again and then when I was next to Naga and Seb I said like the same thing about being worried. So sure enough we got to the bottom floor and within like ten seconds of being there, all the way down the hall I see fucking Choncey roaming and I turn and run. The three of us got back in the stairs and Naga kind of stopped but I just told him and Seb that I was going to bed and goodnight. So I ran back to the third floor, through the fucking hall, and heard an elevator noise when I was unlocking my door and was freaking out. Jeeeeez that’s as much of an adrenaline rush as I’ve ever really bargained for. I’m just laying in bed now at 3:04 with my alarm set for 6:50 tomorrow and my white noise all the way up. Ggbgbgn I hope there aren’t any repercussions tomorrow. All things considered, I’m not that worried about it. If they tell my parents, it’s not like I was actually getting up to any bad shit, and I had fun, I don’t regret it, not even going back down a second time all that much. Teenager experiences or whatever. I hope that in the morning Jonny can still eat breakfast with us normally and I can say bye to everyone and Seb and Luke and we can all be happy and peaceful. Goodnight
V V V the policeman outside after he came through
(Also I hadn’t realized who he was at the time but Seb had followed me on insta like the day before so he must’ve known who I was before I knew who he was)

Fast X (2023)
Tumblr media
"Fast X" charges onto the silver screen in 2023, igniting an adrenaline-fueled American action extravaganza. Helmed by visionary director Louis Leterrier, this pulse-pounding addition to the renowned "Fast X" franchise was masterfully scripted by a trio of esteemed writers: Dan Mazeau, Justin Lin, and Zach Dean. Returning to the helm of the film, Vin Diesel reprises his iconic role as Dominic Toretto, leading a star-studded ensemble cast that reads like a Hollywood hall of fame. Alongside Diesel, the cast boasts electrifying performances from Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, Jason Statham, Jason Momoa, and Charlize Theron. This gripping tale revolves around Toretto, once again thrust into peril as he fiercely safeguards his family from the clutches of a formidable new nemesis, Dante Reyes, portrayed by Momoa. Reyes, driven by vengeance for his father's demise and his family's fortune, becomes an unrelenting force to be reckoned with. "Fast X" has been a labor of love since 2014, with plans for a climactic two-part finale unveiled in October 2020. Although Justin Lin initially returned as director, creative divergences prompted his departure from the project, although he retained involvement as a writer and producer. Louis Leterrier was subsequently enlisted as Lin's successor, injecting his unique touch and overseeing several script revisions. The film boasts a captivating soundtrack crafted by Brian Tyler, a longtime composer for the franchise, who once again weaves an evocative musical tapestry for this installment. With a staggering estimated budget of $340 million, "Revolution Run: Rise of Speed" stands as the eighth most expensive film ever created, showcasing the franchise's unwavering commitment to high-stakes, top-tier entertainment. Principal photography for "Fast X" spanned several months, from April to August in 2022, encompassing diverse shooting locations across the globe. Spectacular sequences were captured in iconic cities such as London, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, and Los Angeles, each providing a distinctive backdrop for the unfolding action and drama. The highly anticipated premiere of "Fast X" took place at The Space Cinema Roma Moderno in Rome on May 12, 2023. Subsequently, the film enthralled audiences across Europe and South America from May 17, before racing into theaters in the United States and Canada on May 19. Universal Pictures distributed the film, which received a mixed reception from critics. While some scrutiny fell upon the writing, the cast's performances, particularly Momoa's standout portrayal of the vengeful Dante Reyes, garnered well-deserved praise. Despite the varied critical response, audiences flocked to witness the spectacle, propelling the film to a staggering worldwide box office gross of $318 million, securing its position as the eighth highest-grossing film of 2023. In summary, "Fast X" represents another heart-stopping chapter in the "Fast & Furious" saga, delivering breathtaking car chases, intense action, and an ensemble cast that sets the screen ablaze. Against a backdrop of global locales, this film weaves a captivating tale of family, loyalty, and revenge, making it an unmissable cinematic experience for aficionados of the franchise and adrenaline-pumping cinema alike. Tyrese Samuel banks in 3-pointer at buzzer to lift Seton Hall over Memphis
ORLANDO, Fla. — Tyrese Samuel banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer and Seton Hall beat Memphis 70-69 on Thursday night at the ESPN Events Invitational.  Samuel was left alone on an inbounds pass with 2.3 seconds left and he faked a pass to his right to create more space for a game-winning 3 that hit high off the backboard and went in.
