ok ok ok so i'm done with the teen wolf movie and, well, i didn't hate it entirely?

SPOILERS AHEAD.

things i liked: the lacrosse and greenberg callbacks, coach's entire existence, chris argent's entire existence, eli hale, malia running around in a crop top, the argent reunion, the scott and allison scenes, the allison/lydia/jackson hug, the jeep as a metaphor for trust and love and all that, derek and eli's relationship, derek and the sheriff's interactions

things i disliked: the lack of stiles, how bloated the movie feels with all these characters that don't really have a purpose other than just being there (mason, melissa, peter, jackson to some extent, liam) like they just wanted to bring back as many people as possible but didn't know what to do with them. i hated that they replaced kira with another random kitsune and we know NOTHING about her except that she's maybe dating liam? like literally her only purpose was to keep an evil being in a jar, and to provide scott with literal plot armor. that's it. like we literally know NOTHING about her. liam and mason don't interact at all? what the fuck? malia and parrish felt v forced too, it literally didn't make sense to me but idc much about it. also how the hell do you bring back the nogitsune but barely mention stiles. does no one here keep in touch with him? like does anyone even care other than lydia, derek, and the sheriff? and why do none of these family members interact? peter and malia, peter and derek, peter and eli, like.. what?

also. the thing i hated most was derek's death. what was the point of it? what was the point of making him die in a fire, esp knowing his history with it? what was the point of making yet another teenage hale be orphaned by watching his family die in a fire? literally why? it seemed so fucking contrived. and honestly kind of cheaply done for shock value. god after everything derek had been through he deserved to be fucking happy. what the hell, jeff davies.

i guess overall? rates a single watch but not more than that. 5/10 from me. god please let me be free of this series now please i BEG
