Kudos to all the ships that are actualized and/or actualized *and* get a happy ending. Seems to be rare. But here's to ships that don't even come close to either.
I ship nothing but Bronze medal ships - at least we're on the pedestal!

The ship that was born out of J. Smith Cameron and Kieran Culkin who amused themselves by having their characters make flirty eyes with each other until the directors picked up on it and decided to explore it on the series even though nothing, I mean, nothing would ever come of it because that is just the kind of show SUCCESSION was.
But boy, they were fun.
What could have been.
At least THE SIMPSONS got us there.
It only works due to the friendship of J and Kieran.
J and her work husband Kieran.
Sometimes you have to throw a drink in your work spouse's face. We've all been there.
And if Kieran ever goes too far and pisses J off, she has another Culkin in the wings.

"why isn't it me?" kendall hugging roman and pressing into his wound until it bled again. we've seen roman self-harm on screen before (berating himself, the logan deepfake loop listening, antagonizing protesters to incite a beating). his deeply fucked up coping mechanisms for emotions and situations he can't handle. kendall knows this, he sent the logan deepfake, is invested in roman keeping his low self-esteem, but in this situation also can control him by giving him pain to cope. roman gripping onto kendall while kendall hugs him (holds him close, very intimately) and hurts him was painful to watch because you can see how much he hates that he wants it. kendall is giving him an out, a way to cope, for selfish reasons, and roman takes it as the reminder. this is why it isn't him this is why it isn't him this is why it isn't him.
