Hi and welcome to my In The Sky AU sideblog! My main blog is @just-another-miserable-prick if you wanna see more of my stuff.

Tags and warnings are the same as over there so check my main's pinned post to learn more.

So onto the meat of this whole post! (It's 00:24 so sorry for errors lol)

My In The Sky ttte AU! I'll try to keep it short but I tend to go overboard with this sort of thing.

The main gist of it all is that the "engines" aka the Wingmen are a species of almost-people living in the sky above whatever land they would normally reside in in canon, (taking the roles of planes and the like, basically anything that isn't a bird) mainly relying on tourism and cargo traffic for their work.

The banner says "silly queer train people with wings" for a reason! Obviously, almost no one is straight, and they all have wings! There are many different types of wings a Wingman might have:

"Steamies":

Top two pairs of wings: (the humanised versions of) Tank engines, tram engines and narrow/miniature gauge engines

Bottom two pairs of wings: Tender engines

"Diesels" and "electrics":

Fun fact: Diesels can modify their wings! Like Diesel or Diesel 10 here.

As for how things are built up in the sky: they use bricks made of clouds! Okay everything is made of clouds-

Example: a very quick painting I made of a balcony

The clouds are compressed so they're more rigid and durable, which is then used to build stations, houses, roads, which are indeed a thing in the sky, though sometimes they're not compressed as much, these softer clouds being used for furniture and mainly things for children (or clumsy adults and Wingmen).

In general:

The Wingmen are free to go as they please in most of the modern world, except for a few developing countries (and one Central-European hellhole in particular) due to them having wings, thus being able to fly.

The railways are referred to as airlines (North-Western Airlines, Skarloey Airlines, Mid-Sodor Airlines and so on), the Wingmen commonly being called "pilots".

Since the sentient vehicles are all Wingmen, planes aren't that much of a thing, hot air balloons being the norm, at least on the Island of Sodor.

Overall this is just for fun. Hope you enjoy your stay! Also, feel free to ask your favourite Wingmen any questions!

Final OC, Endre! I know he looks high but I swear he isn't-

So Endre, like Mihály, Erzsébet and Ella, worked for MÁV, absolutely hating every second of it, thus flying off often, which resulted in him and every sibling of his being locked up in an abandoned station with limited supplies, slowly losing 346 of their kind. This originally was planned to be only a few weeks, but ended up being a decade-long adventure.

It finally came to an end when Edward heard the last few singing and chatting away, having given up every bit of hope they had. This resulted in the 19 survivors being rescued and taken tó the Island of Sodor, where they all still live to this very day.

Personality:

Endre's a lot like Ella, as in sassy and chaotic. Very chaotic. He's said to be Ella's prankster sidekick, the two often pulling their pranks together. April Fool's is a nightmare with these two together. Other than sass and chaos, he's a little shit, constantly bugging anyone who dares to listen. It's not even intentional for the most part, he's just a very social guy who looks high as a kite but isn't-. He loves talking to people! That's it! He absolutely despises silence, having always been told to shut the fuck up back in his younger days. He's always making some sort of noise. You'll never find him just sitting around doing nothing, he always finds a way to keep himself busy. Even if said way to keep himself busy could hurt others or himself in one way or another. He, along with Mihály, is quite suspicious of Diesel 10.

He loves being around the Steam Team, Thomas, James and the Scottish twins in particular. Also Bill & Ben aka the Bee Bois. They're the ones who will always be down to chat :]. Not like others aren't glad to listen!

Aight, so-

Name's Ella, she/they and I ramble a lot. This post is all about tags, my (very much wip) TTTE AU(s), all that good stuff. I like drawing and writing, I'm not too good at either of them. Also, English is my second language. My native language is Hungarian btw.

⚠️Less than lighthearted themes: while I like keeping things fun and lighthearted, there will, on rare occasion, be mentions of death, suicide, self harm, less than ideal upbringing (and that's putting it lightly!), and other not-so-fun themes. If you're sensitive to any of the above, again, this isn't the place for you.

Emily x Rosie: Boss babe coffee-holic and the one to keep them in check. All I know is that they're adorable lol
