Imagining khr but with Tsuna and his guardians (minus Lambo) being like college aged and all in the same dorm building and what starts it all off is Tsuna opening his door one day after pulling a week of all nighters for midterms to see Reborn telling him he is his tutor just:

Tsuna, squinting with eyes that refuse to focus, 2 sips of energy drink away from cardiac arrest, has been ignoring what is either the hat man or the specter of death itself lurking by his closet for two hours: how many credits is that worth?

So, I only know of one point of foreshadowing for Verde specifically. I haven't reread the manga in a while (a few weeks to a year to not at all, depending on the arc), and I haven't really rewatched the anime since I first saw it around 2012. (However, I do rewatch the Verde episodes sometimes.) So this won't be as comprehensive as I'd like. (Sorry) Also note that this whole thing will be full of my own interpretations and theories on the manga (and a little of the anime). So some things may be biased,etc. Also, manga spoilers!

Now then, what makes me think he is foreshadowed? Chapter 53 of the manga.

In this chapter, Verde is mentioned by some of his hired assassins to have sent them to target Tsuna. He apparently has been going after bosses and their successors. (I assume this is because he was hired by another person to do this in order to make some side money for his experiments as well as test out those camouflage suits.) The attempt fails, and Tsuna tells the defeated assassins to send Verde his reguards.

Now, what's interesting to note is when any form of plot goes out of its way for an "antagonist" to send a minion after the main character, this serves as a setup for a later encounter.

Another thing to note is that at least two of the three Vongola successors, Timoteo's sons, were also assassinated near the beginning of the manga. (One was shot in a feud, but that could potentially be seen as a cover-up. The other was drowned and another reduced to nothing but bone.) As well as the fact I-pin seems to have been sent to kill what looks like another boss during her introduction chapter, all of this points to the fact that someone was hiring assassins** to take out mafia bosses. Which, I believe this was a plot point hinted at, but it never seemed to have come into fruition. (Unless I'm forgetting something 😅)

**I know Verde isn't an assassin, but he seems to run some type of business or side business where he leases out assassins who work for him and use the gear and weapons he's invented.

It should also be noted that I don't think that Verde had a hand in any of Timoteo's sons deaths. His method seems to be hiring assassins to inject poison into his targets.

So yeah, I kind of think there is some sort of hinted at future plot point that would have involved Verde. I don't know if he would have been a major antagonist or not. However, I can't help but note that up until Verde was mentioned, both Colonnello and Skull made full appearances. I don't think any other Arcobaleno were mentioned before that, and if nothing was being set up, then it would make more sense for him to make an appearance. Yet, he didn’t. Which further makes me think something was being set up, but it was scraped or forgotten.

Another interesting thing to note about chapter 53 is how unphased Reborn is by that, but in anime (I think in the filler), Reborn does explicitly state not to trust Verde. Yet! During the Rainbow arc, they seem more like typical anime rivals---minus all the fighting, of course. What I mean is, when you read their interactions during the climax of that arc, when everyone has gathered together to defeat Bermuda, they seem a little more friendly towards each other than what the anime has lead me to believe. In the anime, I'm sure Reborn states a few times not to trust Verde. Or that he doesn't.

However, in the manga, right before Verde activates his boss watch, they have a moment where Reborn is like, "But, Verde! You don't fight!" And just does the typical anime rivals scoff and is essentially like "I have an ace up sleeve!" It's very subtle, but oh my gosh, it reads so much like this for me! And of course, when Reborn activates his boss watch on that final fight, Verde just stands next to a robot version of Reborn. Like Verde didn’t have to pretend to TALK to Reborn. He didn’t have to keep up the act. But he did so Tsuna wouldn’t catch on to the fact that "Reborn's friend" was just Reborn's uncursed form. Which is sweet, and they are totally frenemies and---

I'm gonna leave it at that. Hopefully, this all makes sense. I might have a habit of over reading all the Verde parts in the manga, lol 🤣

(Usually, yes!!! But the chance to talk about Verde was dangled right in front of face! So I took it 😊💚)

i want to scream you guys have no idea how much i love chapter 219, it's one of my fav chapters from the whole manga if not my fav chapter altogether. also i honestly think it's one of the darkest moments in the manga, like. everything that was said... all the revelations about what's actually going on and on whom to actually put which part of the blame on... all the implications of everything that was said...

irie straight up says to tsuna's face, to all of them's that "if that was the case... [your deaths] couldn't be helped anyway..." are you kidding me are you kidding me i'm pretty sure it's the worst, darkest, most fucked up thing he says in the whole manga and it makes me go insane. he's talking about middle schoolers and non-fighters and five years olds kids, and that's the only thing he had to say about putting them at risk.

and for having everything that happened up until then fresh in my mind because of my reread, it's not like their potential deaths was a worst case scenario by no means--well, of course it was, but not in the way where he was trying everything so it wouldn't happen, if you know what i mean? because even if he didn't come out and say it, their potential deaths was the key to the plan, the cornerstone on which it was build on, it was absolutely inherent to it. because purposefully throwing them in life and death situations again and again, and having situations like those wait for them at literally every corner, hoping--hoping they'd pull through and grow stronger for it, and putting in danger people that didn't need to be involved while he was at it only to motivate them even further in pulling through again and again, was the "training" he came up with so to "increase [their] strength exponentially in the shortest time possible".

(and look, i'm not necessarily saying he's wrong considering the context in which all of this happens, tho morally he is for sure. i'm saying it's all wrong in so many ways.)

and then, literally just after he says this, he says tyl!tsuna was part of the plan too HELLO??? HE SAYS TYL!TSUNA AGREED TO THAT PLAN. like, he agreed to that plan, no matter how long he needed to come around to it, and you know what, involving his guardians (minus lambo) in this would have been one thing, but kyoko and haru? lambo and i-pin?

tsuna. are you screaming yet too because i am, i'm screaming so hard, tsuna--ZHDLSBSLSK my god--

and THEN what does lal say to that?? "that's impossible! i know sawada's personality!"

AND YEAH LAL YOU AND ME BOTH BABE THIS IS SO--!!!

and look, i don't think lal and tsuna became best friends tyl or that she became his most trusted confident or anything lol, so i'm not saying she's necessarily the voice of truth on this, but. she's the only one from tyl whose reaction is shown about this, and also she's cedef. so presumably she was there every step of tsuna's reign during those ten years, and knows of everything he did during those ten years, knows of every decision he’s made. so even if we say she doesn't know tsuna's personality enough to say something like that, she's still the one who knows vongola decimo's best in that room, and this is what she said. with no hesitation too and with absolute conviction, like, she didn't even consider the idea even for a second, that's how much it was unbelievable to her.

and look, look, i get it. much like irie himself pointed it out, this of course says little about tsuna and much more about how truly hopeless the future became at the hands of byakuran, about how much he backed everyone into a corner and forced them into acts they'd never have done and decisions they'd never have made otherwise. and of course the stakes are much, much higher than just present!tsuna & co's lives, and if byakuran was left to it eventually they'd have gotten involved and died at his hands anyway. something had to be done, a gamble had to be taken no matter how awful it’d be for everyone involved for the literal greater good, i get it, i do.

but still, the little it says about tyl!tsuna does still say something about him. and it's not little by no means from present!tsuna & co's pov. like, his hands were forced for sure, but he still chose to go that path, to bet everything on that gamble, however reticent or well-meaning he might have been about it. i mean, he could have stood his ground about not involving the girls and the kids to the very end, but ultimately he chose to give in. he still had a part in all of this willingly (relatively speaking of course), and it's like.

tyl!tsuna, my beloved, who did this to you... how much ten years in the mafia have changed you... what did it turn you into and how far along the way are you... would your present self even have been able to recognize himself in you...? would you have been able to recognize yourself in him...?

and it makes me lose my mind, and you know what, this IS in fact my favorite chapter from the whole manga hands-down

How KHR characters play Splatoon + their weapons

I’m gonna sound insane to people who don’t play Splatoon

Tsuna- Half the time the match loads up and the other three members on his team disconnect. Sweats bullets in the heat of the match especially at the countdown phase. Never has the guts to kill Kyoko’s character. He keeps up Splattershot Jr throughout the whole game

Yamamoto- Insanely good aim but aim doesn’t matter in Splatoon and he likes spending more time covering ground rather than hitting players. Plays the Slosher cause it seems the most fun and splashy

Gokudera- Covers decent ground. Follows Tsuna and kills anyone who shoots at them. If they’re on opposite teams he goes idle. Mains the Blaster cause look at this thing 

Ryohei- Obviously loud as hell, rushes into the map forgetting he can travel faster as a squid, has dramatic one sided conversations with idle players or players he’s at a stalemate with. Friend requests everyone who manages to beat him in a match because “he loves their passion” and Hibari has rejected him 62 times (still counting). Mains rapid blaster

Lambo- Screams every time he gets killed and starts rambling on how the other player must be cheating. Gets distracted from the goal of victory and starts trying to paint his name on the mini map. Will destroy anyone from the opposite team whose ink ruins it and has won entire matches this way. Plays the roller

Hibari- Terrifying, regularly gets entire team kills. Still loses every match cause the point of the game is to paint the ground and he only knows violence. Puts the controller in front of Hibird when he doesn’t feel like playing a match. Mains duales

Chrome- Knows how to play the game like a normal person. Says “mh” each time she gets a kill (just means she’s happy). Good balance of coverage and offense. Her strategy relies on hiding as a squid and popping out of the ink. She likes swimming as the squid, just goes around in circles if her team is well into winning. A beast with the E-liter

Mukuro- As an avid player I can tell you it’s possible to psychologically manipulate people in Splatoon. He also does insane trick shot kills and plays the most infuriating weapons in the game very well. Will drop everything to squid party with Chrome if they’re in the same match, they’re pretty much useless together. Similar main to Chrome but works faster with less precision on the Splat Charger

Haru- The most well rounded player of the teens; she covers ground, she’s strategic, she kills, she’s a team player. She’s also very sweet to novice players but will bark at you like a drill sergeant otherwise. This girl plays Splatoon like how 14 year old boys played COD in early 2000s minus the offensive language. Mains Inkbrush

Kyoko- Has exaggerated reactions at in game events, like saying “ow” when killed or gasping when she sees an enemy. She’s a very good sport and can even reign in Haru and Gokudera’s temper. Saves all the videos she records of funny moments between her and her friends. Surprisingly ruthless too, will shoot Tsuna’s character as he hesitates or her brother mid monologue. Mains Splat Brella cause she thought it was cute and now she’s op with the shield capabilities

And they all seem willing the join a mafia family wouldn’t they associate a mafia family with a dangerous organization in their heads which would put them in danger

I will surely show how they met, in the past fic it was just a collection of extra stories but I’m going to implement everything in the main one.Also, it’s true that mafia it’s a dangerous organization but the Vongola are currently (in story time) a positive organization since Tsuna became the boss, he was the first one to hate the evil stuff of a mafia organization, and willing to turn the Vongola back in what they used to be when they were created (the origin of mafia as an organization that helps people, Primo’s will).I won’t say case by case, but they believe in a dream. And Vongola is a good vehicle for making it true.

If any, how are the interactions between Xanxus and his daughter ??(baby, kid and teenage)

Baby He doesn't know what he's doing and he doesn't like to be alone with her. Finds the crying annoying but never yelled at her for it (has yelled at Levi to "make the kid shut up"). Grunts in displeasure when Katsuki drops the baby on him. He tried to put the baby on a pillow or somewhere not close to him but quickly got spooked cause she almost fall or looked like she was going to injury herself. In the end, he very unhappily lets her sit on his lap. A lot of frustrated "No" and "Don't do that, you stupid <mutes himself as the next words are not appropriate and Katsuki's going to smack him if he heard>" Matilde is a happy and carefree baby. Wiping her drool or spilling the milk bottle all over Xanxus's shirt without a care in the world. -Xanxus: "Stupid germ bag, hurry the fuck in growing up and stop looking so weak." -Matilde: *Baby noises* Kid The habit of letting her sit on his lap stayed. He drops her off on her separate throne chair besides him when she got older though. Starts sending her off to tutors but occasionally he will gives a few pointers that are definitely too mafia. Matilde watches him when he maintains his guns. He doesn't talk casually with her, more like give out short orders or questions. Sometimes if he needs alone time with Katsuki, he'd scoop their daughter up and drop her off with a maid or one of his officers despite her protesting. But he does give her everything she wants. Everything. Toys and nice clothing, food and books, it's like everything he never got as a kid before being adopted he made sure she had it all. Matilde is a bit scared of him, especially when he's angry. Still smiles a lot around him though because she realized he likes her more when she smiles. She thinks he's cool and strong though. And since he's the one to make the final decisions around the castle, she looks up to him. Matilde has also gained enough survival skills to know when she needed to run away from him or get Katsuki (crucial in Varia) -Xanxus: "...She's starting to look like the brat when he was younger...Got my fire in her, probably won't kick the bucket soon. Fucking hell, there's no way we're getting another one, Kastuki." -Matilde: "Papa's scary...I want Mama. But I can't lead Varia when I grow up if I'm always scared of Papa. Mama said I gotta stand my ground!" Teen He checks in on her progress weekly. Don't got a lot of nice things to say but there will be at least a nod of approval. He trains her himself when he is not busy and it is as spartan as Reborn had done to Tsuna. A constant back and forth between "WTF did Dad (Katsuki) see in you, you old drunk?" and "I'm not a kid anymore! Stop treating me like I can't handle myself!" on Matilde's side. Matilde is eyeing for Xanxus's spot as Varia's boss already and looking to collect her own set of guardians. Xanxus turns a blind eye to her "acting out of line" unless it's something real stupid and dangerous. He will sneer at her when her attempts to defeat him failed with a mocking jab of words. But she's still super proud to be his daughter and prides herself in being Varia's princess. Xanxus is the person Matilde goes to if she fucked up and know Katsuki is going to be angry. There's an exchange of an offering of peace (or bribe) along with a "Please, Father". Xanxus would look at her and huff out of amusement before taking the bribe, ruffling her hair, and going to deal with Katsuki or clean up the mess Matilde made. Matilde's standard for romantic partner is that they got to compare to or be better than Xanxus in all areas (minus the anger issues), preferably with Katsuki's cooking skills too. -Matilde: "*screaming* STOP SCARING OFF MY DATES!" -Also Matilde: "I'm going to prove to you that I can already do better than you, stupid old man! Varia's going to be mine anyways so fucking go have a honeymoon with Dad already!" -Xanxus: "Those trash are not fit to be called dates. And you still haven't defeated me yet." *raises wine glass in a cheer*

somebody got it in their head that i’m unnecessarily critical towards japan from previous posts so, based on my experience visiting japan as part of an exchange program, here’s what i love about japan!!!!

the food!!!! the very first day, my exchange group visited a ramen place in front of our hotel and it has ruined me for ramen anywhere else like it was so rich y’all 😭😭😭 i was a picky eater then so i didn’t experience as much food as i would have liked but my favourite staple had been salmon onigiri and melon bread. and lol there was this veggie juice that tasted like liquified peas and lima beans it was terrible and one of my exchange buddies had dared someone else to drink it and we were treated to a funny spit take lol

the clothes!!!! it’s just a shame i had no sense of fashion then lol but like i went to the shibuya 109 mall!!!! it was so nice and there was this gyaru employee walking back to her store and we were all like 😍 and she winked at us when she heard us get excited about how cute she looked lol and harajuku was really neat as well!!!! we stopped by a lot of vkei/lolita specialty shops and i will never forget those knee high six inch platform boots 😌

speaking of gyarus, the people!!! like any other place on this big ol space rock, there’s an assortment of people on their streets. we visited a few temples and one of them had was hosting another high school trip and unprompted, a group of boys started yelling ‘hello!!!! 😃😃😃’ at us and waving vigorously lol and the mayor of the program’s sister city had spoken to us about anime and whatnot and where he would like to travel!!!! he has a sense of adventure so he wanted to go to places without huge tourist markets and wanted more local experiences

there ain’t no scenery like japanese scenery 😌 we climbed mt. fuji a little bit!!!!! i’d never been to a mountainous place before and i’m really glad my first was mt. fuji like the silence being so high up and being high enough to look down on a forest was something else. on temple visit, we found a turtle!!!! that’s it we just found a turtle slowly making its way to a nearby pond lol

there are a lot of places that suit my interests lol like in the bat&bb minus ichiro post, they were all in akihabara and i recommended visiting there for your weeb needs because i also visited akiba!!!! i bought a handful of merch for the series i was into at the time, khr, and i won a small tsuna keychain figurine in a gachapod machine. later on, a student caught sight of the keychain hanging on my bag i was carrying and couldn’t hold back her excitement as she yelled exactly which version of tsuna my keychain was modelled for lol

being part of the exchange program meant they showed off their traditional customs like tea ceremonies, flower arranging classes, calligraphy and the like and it was very educational!! i sat in seiza the entire ceremony (it was rough on my untrained legs lol), learned less is better for flower arrangements, and i honestly just suck at calligraphy lol like they had elementary school kids manning some of the cultural features being showcased and the piteous look and hum that came from that child when i screwed up ink writing the mountain kanji 山 LMAO 😭

You know how people joke about Uchiha-Uzumaki children being a bunch of hellions? Tsuna having kids with mukuro and/or hibari would be fucking terrifying.

Just imagine a whole army of little Hibari’s wielding blunt force weapons with little mukuro’s at their backs weaving illusions.

I honestly do not think the world would survive, let alone the Mafia.

To be fair if Tsuna were to have kids with any of his guardians (minus lambo for obvious reasons) they would all be hyper competent nightmare monsters that would bring the mafia world to their knees.

A little girl with Hibari’s eyes and Tsuna’s sweet smile that fights with a staff and is particularly brutal when people that aren’t the family get too close to her “mother”

A silver haired little boy with glasses that do nothing to hide his big brown eyes with a bow. The family genius that hides it behind a loud mouth and a temper.

The “twins” who only their family can tell part as they are constantly weaving illusions and switching appearances with each other. The only consistency is their wild hair (unfortunately neither of them were able to escape the pineapple curse and if anything it’s worse because they also got Tsuna’s genes in the mix) and that they can almost always be found together.

A girl that looks just like Tsuna but there is no mistaking her other parent with her constantly covered in bandages and dirt as she puts her all into whatever she’s doing. There’s really no mistaking it when a rival family member said some unkind things to Tsuna and she knocked them out cold in one hit at five years old, pretty frilly dress and all.

And of course a little boy that is the carbon copy of Takeshi who has fallen in love with nearly every sport he has ever seen and who takes up the sword like he was born for it and his one true desire in life is to beat Uncle Squalo.

They would have the entire mafia world terrified of them by the time they hit puberty and those that weren’t would learn to be very very soon.

I am so sorry for this third Tsunatale ask but this came to me and I need to share it. Post reveal Tsuna rants about the Ten-Year Bazooka and possibly the Future That Never Was Arc to Sans and Flowey. Just, that's it that mental image came to me and won't leave me I'm so sorry-

Annual Halloween gore contest

The varia doesn’t really dress up for Halloween but they do have an annual contest of who can leave the most horrific gory and bloody crime scene on Halloween night. They all take solo assignments and end up very very bloody and messy so any costumes that they might wear get absolutely ruined. Bel and Toga do switch outfits for the night, however and Luss does the whole thing dressed up as a naughty nurse

results are judged as follows

Heroes involved in the case that quit after seeing the crime scene = 3 points

Crime scene investigators or Cops that see the scene and quit = 2 points

Anyone involved in investigating the crime that immediately signs themselves up for therapy (doesn’t count if the person already goes to therapy) = 1 point

NOW while tyl hibari has seemingly seen to be the shortest among the tyl vongola decimo guardians since we never got a proper tyl tsuna, tyl tsuna would still sometimes be depicted as shorter than him.
