Placing .lot files?

Hay y'all! Every computer I get I put Sims 3 on it and I find new CC (thank you everyone!) to ad to the old folders.

WHERE DO I PUT .LOT & .LAYER FILES?!

I downloaded Bright Falls and there are two entire folders for it, and i don't wanna download it until I know it won't cause issues. Google has been zero help :(

Hallö ✌️

Nach längerer Zeit habe ich es endlich geschafft, alle Gemeinschaftsgrundstücke zu bebauen. Daher gibt es hier schonmal den Link zu meiner Dropbox. Da findet ihr sowohl alle Grundstücke zum Download als auch die Welt.

Die Weltdatei von den Gemeinschaftsgrundstücke ist unter dem Ordner Gemeinschaftsgrundstücke zu finden als .sims3pack und .world Datei:

Wenn ich irgendwann mal Zeit haben sollte, poste ich die einzelnen Grundstücke mit Dateien und Screenshots.

Modern Ikke - world download

The idea behind Ikke was to create a scandinavian/swiss inspired world, but most importantly a place where sims can go (fake) skiing and be surrounded by pine trees and snow. I took inspiration from the Swiss/French Alps (especially Verbier) so naturally all buildings go along that vibe.

I kinda made it my mission to leave CC to a minimum, so I used only a few cc items and the rest is from expansion/accessory packs or ts3 store. - So make sure to at least have Supernatural, Pets, Into The Future and Late Night in order for the world to show up properly.

Note: the world file is pretty much empty, so I strongly recommend to download the world AND the save file so Ikke can look the same way it does in my game. - I am going to share furnished lots too, but finding cc takes time so bare with me :p

All relevant info is under the cut, so please read it!

>DOWNLOAD< (early access until 20/10/23)

>CC: there's two folders included with the download; the one called CC has all the necessary stuff you need so the world looks exactly as it does in my game. I didn't include some mods objects, so if you don't already have these then grab omsp, omsp resizers by Buckley, medium size rocks here, (more) medium size rocks here, city hall/police station/military base rug shell (you only need that one) & this set of patterns (I didn't use all of them, but I love them and highly recommend getting all of them hehe - I used the ones from the wood category) / the second folder called CC Recommendations is not necessary for the world to show up properly, but everything there goes along with the vibe and would look great in most buildings (;

>Modern Ikke.world: as said above, it's almost empty except for some scarce decor and the chairlift (but without it's start/finish bit) / Goes in Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Installed worlds

>Save File: Has all the buildings I did (14 lots), plus a few other details I changed from the original world file. I tested it along with my bf, so you'll start with my Svensson household and there will be some npcs (with randomized Spanish names as he has the game in Spanish hehe) - obviously just get rid of them all and start with your own simmies (; / Both folders inside 'save file' go in Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Saves / you NEED to install the world file too or the save won't work!

>Additional note: If you downloaded the shell rug linked above, then you'll find a "city hall" icon in Ikke's Hotel; I put it there mostly so you can change NRass settings if you're using it. Otherwise (or when you're done setting things up) feel free to get rid of it.

Remasked? Reshelled? My other Nordic build for this frozen skittles settlement.

CURRENT CONCEPT: "Longyearsim," inspired by Longyearbyen, Svalbard, is the perfect mix of survival and normal life! No grocery store for you kiddo, but there is a diner and cafe running off of the ingredients YOU grow! Most of the residents are students at the Longyearsim College of Science, which specializes in research on thriving and preserving this fine climate. There is also a nice little pub to get you through those long winters.

BARNACLESS BAY CAW FILES by technicallyswagpizza

"A storm swept through the island, it ravaged for what felt like weeks and it was so fierce it completely erased part of the island! Now there is nothing else left but sand! And it's everywhere! Even in my ears!"

I always liked the idea of a remote farm type island where the folks living there still haven't heard about Gangam Style or paywalled CC, but I felt that the original Barnacle Bay is just too dysfunctional to play. It has good bones and I really wanted to make it work, but after chipping away at it on and off for almost a year I have come to a point that now whenever I open it in CAW I just don't know what to do with it and feel like I should go play in the traffic instead. Maybe I will finish it one day, but since I'm just sitting on these files I figured perhaps someone else wants to give it a go and make it your own. Change it completely, keep it as it is, share it, lock it in your basement, you do what you got to do to tame it.

These are the CAW files only, I have not play tested the world as it is very much work in progress thus there is no point releasing it in the state it is.

CHANGELOG

Standalone world, it will not replace Barnacle Bay.

A good chunk of the map is gone, I also ran the coastal parts of the map through World Machine to make it feel more realistic, thus all the sand everywhere.

Deleted a fair few lots completely.

Emptied majority of the lots, however I left some of the original lots in because I had a plan, but I forgot what it was.

Reduced the amount of spawners, there's at least one or two each rather than 3-5.

Added and removed some roads.

Replaced all the palm trees with Red Oaks from Ambitions exp.

Added shrubs around the fields

// There's not THAT much to do, but things you may want to fix:

Bumpy ridiculous roads (-᷅_-᷄๑)

Sort out the mess I made with the town centre layout

Double check routing, I'm fairly sure I started working on that but it's been so long I can't remember if I finished it completely.

None of the lots have addresses.

Waterfall looks ok in CAW but in game uh, idk. It looks like farts.

What you need: Maybe the original Barnacle Bay? I'm not sure, if you don't have it then the random CAW items/remaining lots that got stuff in them will get replaced by something else. I'm not sure if there are any BB items left though... I did swap the bridge and idk beachy barrier thing with something else. I don't remember which expansion they came from though. I'M REALLY GOOD AT THIS I PROMISE (.﹒︣︿﹒︣.)

Let me know if the CAW files do not work, I don't think I have ever shared my raw CAW projects before so yeah. I included all the terrain paint .dds texture files just in case you want to paint stuff.

The Old Town Shops is among the oldest building of Hidden Springs. Here you can buy the finest nectars for your romantic diners, do you laundry or do a great deal at the pawn shop ! But it is said many weird people roam around here at night... Wonder where they’re going...

I love adding hidden little secrets in worlds. A reworking of Hidden Springs in a mysterious supernatural town needs secrets, doesn’t it ?

Then we will not talk about the secret door in the back... that definitely not lead to a secret underground vampire bar... which is definitely not linked the to nectar shop... no, please, don’t ask questions about why it’s linked to the nectar shop.

Hope you like this renovation of a Midnight Hollow building ! And the little secrets added into it!

Zwischenstand | Intermediate Status

Hey ✌️

so sieht derzeitig meine neue Welt Paradise Archipelago aus. Ein paar Grundstücke habe ich schon bebaut, aber es liegt noch viel vor mir. Die leere Welt lade ich noch nicht hoch, da mir beim Bebauen von den Grundstücken viele Fehler auffallen, die ich direkt im CAW ändere. Wenn ich also irgendwann mal alle Grundstücke fertig habe, werd ich auch die leere Welt uploaden 😅

This is what my new world Paradise Archipelago looks like at the moment. I've already built on a few lots, but I still have a long way to go. I'm not uploading the empty world yet because I'm noticing a lot of mistakes when building on the plots, which I'm changing directly in CAW. So when I have finished all the plots at some point, I will also upload the empty world 😅

인간 (English: Human) is one of Korean simmers who created many amazing and distinctive buildings and worlds in the early 2010s. In his only world creation, Human's Island, Maxis-match buildings can hardly be found. Instead, there're lots of modern and minimalist houses which reveal his great skill in building.
