🍁 It's Autumn time on Simblr.cc! 🍂
I freaking love autumn as a season! The aesthetic, pumkin spice lattes and warm cozy blanket time (and cuddles while you're at it with your pet or whoever)!
So I figured, why not start an event on the site to celebrate the start of Autumn!
Share your either already existing CC or brand new CC on the site!
And make sure to tick that you're participating on the Additional Information page!
The Event starts from the 1st of September till the 30th!
So, what do I get?
Tumblr media
This freaking awesome border! ;D To cosy up your sweet autumn content :) (it even shakes when you hover over it!)
🎃 Is this like a early Simblreen thing? Nope, but that's coming up soon on the site too once the time is right 😉
See you there! :)

I really wanted to give the Goths a nice porch, but since The Sims 1 doesn’t have foundations, I needed CC to do it. And since I’m sure there are some people playing the game even now, and I had kind of a hard time finding these myself, I figured I’d make a little bit of a CC shopping list related to building porches and foundations!
You can get everything you need for a nice porch (with a slightly better roof than mine pictured above tbh) from Persimmon Grove’s verandah set. They also have a nice build guide and a copy of the invisible floor you’ll need.
The railing recolors (+ more) and gray lattice is from SirenShadowSims. They also have some elevated floor trims that might work nicely.
The particular roof pieces I used for the Goths are found here. They’re technically for gables though so they’re not perfect as porch roofs.
Beverly of Poetica Place made a bunch of foundation pieces available at SimsCave.
Poetica Place also has a bunch more gable roof pieces here under Stackable Sets.
Those are the ones I’ve found so far. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any more recolors of the verandah roof pieces, so maybe I will have to remedy that myself...
There are also some sets around with decorative stairs and whatnot but I haven’t quite figured out how to make them look right yet.

Simple Bathroom – Set
Did you ever finally find matching walls and tiles for your bathroom... only to end up with a non-matching mess when you place the objects?
Tumblr media
If this ever bothered you (or you sometimes just want a white bathroom), here's my Simple Bathroom! These are recolours of the cheapest bathroom objects, so the set is affordable and looks nice as well. The bath mat is a recolour of the MM rug, I've priced it a little lower (150 Simoleons). The set contains: – Toilet – Shower – Bathtub – Counter – Bath mat

Livin' Large Mystery Bonus(?) Skins
------ ------ ------
So I was looking around on one of my Livin' Large discs when I came across a set of skins in the patches folder. They never get installed with the expansion pack so they only ever exist on the disc itself.
The skins are obviously based off of photos of real people, but I have no clue who they are. My first instinct was that these are based off a developer and their family, but I couldn't find anyone that shared a name with any of the names that the skins were given. I thought that maybe they’re based off a friend of a developer and their family, which I have no way of finding that out. I also thought they could be based off of characters from a TV show or movie, but I haven’t been able to find anything so far.
A friend suggested that they could be from a fansite that existed way back in the day, which would make sense, since Maxis included fanmade skins with House Party. But if they are then where are they from? And still the question of who are they?
But all of that pales in comparison to the biggest question of why they’re on the disc in the first place. This is seemingly a phenomenon that only happened with this expansion pack, as neither House Party nor Hot Date (the only ones I checked) seem to have anything like this. It’s also not exclusive to the US release either, as they are present on my UK copy as well.
Anyways I have no idea what these are, where they come from, or why they’re here. But they’re here regardless, and I wanted to share them. So I’ve uploaded them to SimFileShare for everyone to be able to have. So enjoy!

Would anyone be interested in themed collections for The Sims 1?
Like, links to cc stuff all based around a theme or time period, so you can just click on the links and download from the sites, without having to go search?
NOT reuploading other people's things, but linking people to their sites for download there.
Just feeling something out

Emergency situation! Simbology is closing its doors!
Effective immediately, no new member applications will be accepted. The forums are now officially closed to registration. We have done this because > 99.5% of the applications we receive are from spam bots and other nefarious nameless sources. Moreover, forum traffic by our existing membership has dwindled to a veritable whisper. All of the content this site offers is freely available to all guests so you may continue to access these resources regardless of membership status. In light of the diminished activity, as we move through 2020, we will begin a winding down process of this website. After 15 years since the release of the much-celebrated Sims 2 - 13 since this website opened its doors - it is time for us to stop broadcasting our pirate signal over the interwebs. To that end, we will be offloading content to a yet-to-be-determined venue in the coming weeks. Details will be announced as we know them. If you are a contributor and wish to rehome your own content, please notify me by PM as soon as possible. Special thanks to all of our members and the staff, especially BoilingOil, for his tireless (and thankless) stewardship over the years when all others skittered away like mice, and to TwoJeffs - wherever you are - for giving life to one of those most celebrated forums in the community and a dragon's hoarde of Sims 2 content over the years. More to come...
I think we must to save content from this site in Sim Archive! Join to Simnostalgia Discord Server for more info.

"French Privacy" Door
Tumblr media
The door that started it all – alias my first CC item for The Sims 1!
As I really like the original "French Burgundy" door, but didn't want to have windowed doors in my whole house, this is my version without. Here's a quick comparison:

TS1 CC Resources
I wrote each site a summary so you can get an idea of whether you’d consider that specific site useful or not.
**All of the links are still working as of June 2023 **
Some dead links have been fixed via the Wayback Machine and are still largely accessible/downloadable that way.
I’ll keep checking for and editing dead links, but if you notice one try pasting it into the Wayback Machine. There’s a pretty good chance at least some portion of the site was archived, along with its downloads.
SimExplorer - Program/utility
• Lets you view & edit objects/textures - Useful for seeing textures of walls/floors to help with organizing/deletion
Simslice - Patches & mods, hacked objects, houses, skins
• Official Maxis TS1 patches, some unofficial/original game mods that change/improve gameplay eg skilling on community lots & more community lot visitors, and hacked objects that summon NPCs or change sim attributes
The Sims Depot - Programs for CC, objects, houses, skins
• Both original creations & a Maxis-created download archive, including programs like the og HomeCrafter & SimPose
Vivacious - Skins/heads, objects, walls/floors, pets
• Themed skin/object sets eg fantasy, post-apocalyptic, steampunk, etc. Mostly “alternative” goth/punk, but also has skins with new skintones & body shapes, and pop culture skins eg Lady Gaga, Danaerys, Michonne, etc. This is the origin of that gigantic Loch Ness Monster pet skin, but they also have a fox & alligator skin!
Sims of the World - Skins/heads, objects, walls/floors
• Many historical eras, Asian & African culture, X-Men characters, etc.
Nocturnal Market - Objects, walls/floors
• Mostly grungy/apocalypse themed object sets, with a few other themes eg ancient ruins, city street signage, medieval, etc.
SirenShadow Sims - Skins/heads, objects, walls/floors, build sets
• Gothic themed; Object/build set themes vary more than the skins eg steampunk, carnival, 1950s bowling alley, french quarter, etc. My favorite TS1 window/door set I’ve ever found is from here!
Around the Sims 1 - Skins/heads, objects, walls/floors, build sets
• Pretty much everything is a themed/matching set. Also lots of deco clutter, especially for bathrooms/kitchens.
SimFreaks - Skins/heads, objects, walls/floors, pets
• Many different decorating styles, lots of varied “normal” skins, and historical/fantasy/sci-fi themes for both objects & skins.
Ferndale Sims - Objects, walls/floors, build sets
• Huge garden-related section, many deco sculptures & plants, and themed walls/floors like post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, and steampunk.
Olena’s Clutter Factory - Objects, walls/floors
• Mostly themed object sets like mid-century modern, rustic, minimalist, etc.
Fantasy LostWorld - Skins/heads
• Click on “Les Sims 1“ in the bottom left; Mostly Final Fantasy skins, with random anime style heads.
Parsimonious - Skins/heads, objects, walls/floors
• Similar to ATS with themed sets like clutter deco, medieval, eye-searing neon, fancy luxury, etc. The sets create brand new community lot aesthetics like the Makin Magic duel arena in fancy white stone, or rustic style restaurant objects.
Gnohmon’s Sims 1 Goodies - Objects
• Hacked & modded objects that do totally new things like a phone that automatically raises relationships while the sims are on the lot, a chair that sims can walk through to avoid traffic jams, and a plant that raises motives.
Treasured Twice
• This site’s dedicated to archiving all the creations of TS1 CC creators as sites & forums have disappeared over time. There aren’t many previews or download details as there’s just so much stuff, but their attempts at preserving CC seem pretty notable.
----------------------------------------------------------
This next section is for sites I know less about but found via “Affiliates” pages. They also have fewer downloads than the above sites, usually because it’s a personal page for a single creator.
Sims 1 Mods by Corylea - Hacked objects, walls/floors, recolors, etc.
Shaklin’s Sims Page - It’s all in German, but mostly has hacked objects with new interactions/features. Like buyable guns that sims can actually kill each other with (???)
Grumpy Sims Stuff - Mainly objects in color-coordinated sets.
ST Fantasy - Skins & heads with 1980s Japanese style, hacked objects like paintings that change motives, and mods like stop relationship decay or prevent sims from getting fired.
Magic Moon Sims - This one’s also in German, but has a wide variety of skins, objects, houses, and themed sets.
Dramatica’s Downloads - Skins, objects, walls/floors, and themed sets of both objects & skins.
Boudoir Blanc - Wide variety of themed object sets like farming, underwater, and fancy “Gentlemen’s Lounge”
Purrfectly Simlicious - Themed sets of objects & walls/floors.
MMarie’s Sims Files - Themed object sets, lots of classical styles like victorian & early 19th century eras.
Madoria’s World - Themed object sets, objects converted from TS2, new “Maxis match” objects, windows/doors, walls/floors, etc.
SpaceCadet Sims - Themed object sets like modern industrial, a recreation of Hannibal Lecter‘s cell in Silence of the Lambs, zombies, billboards, gargoyle statues, etc.
Awesome Expression - A few skins, themed object sets, objects with new animations related to Chinese & Japanese culture, one that makes sims do the Caramelldansen dance, plus a section hosting downloads from defunct TS1 sites including anime style skins, objects, walls/floors.
Creations by Nyx - Objects, deco, walls & floors in a modern minimalist style.
Barairo no jinsei / La vie en Rose Sims - Seems to be an archive of creations from a website that shut down. Windows/doors, skins, objects, and walls/floors.
Ema*Sim - Most of it’s in Japanese, but there’s various skins and a few objects.
Andrasta’s World - Object sets like prehistoric/caveman, arctic tundra animals/plants, and kitchen objects for cannibals including a dead body fridge!
Magnolia Sims - Historical & culture-related skins, objects, and walls/floors.
Architectural Supplies for Sims - Mainly build stuff, as the name implies.
Voyage Sims - Build stuff, walls/floors, objects, deco, and a few themed sets with both objects & skins.
Simcredible Designs - Themed objects sets.
Classic Sims - Maxis match objects and conversions from The Sims Online.
Ingrid Studio - Themed object sets & lots of deco stuff.
Secret Societ of Woobsha - Themed skins & object sets.
Sim Loft - Pretty much just paintings & rugs.
SimSeraglio - Wide variety of object themes, also some walls & paintings.
Simbeule’s Curiosities - Objects, walls/floors, skins, windows/doors, and some themed sets like ancient Egypt.
Simthing for Everyone - Themed object sets like art nouveau & tudor. Also a few hacks like a phone for a new NPC called “Dial a Slap,” which makes a monkey guy come to your house, aaaand I can only guess what happens after that.
SomeSimThings - Mostly objects, a lot are TS2 conversions. Also garden stuff, windows/doors, and walls.
Stone Age Sims - Objects, deco, walls/floors, and skins.
ModGoth Currently inaccessible, not saved on Wayback Machine :( - Subsite of SirenShadowSims featuring a gothic modern design style of objects, deco, walls/floors, and skins.
Moni’s Sims - Themed object sets eg victorian era and the Simpsons house, walls/floors, and skins.
Moon Sims - Themed object sets eg futuristic and classical.
Jendea Simitecture - Garden, windows/doors, walls/floors, objects, and deco.
Marina’s Sims - Windows/doors, garden, walls/floors, deco, and objects. The largest theme is medieval, but there’s also gothic, victorian, and neoclassical. Plus some interesting pool-related stuff, which seem to be based on a hacked rug that makes the pool actually look nice & not just like a solid blue rectangle?
Ophelia’s Little Page About the Sims - Objects, garden stuff, walls/floors, and skins with gothic, victorian, and witchy themes.
Persimmon Grove - Rustic/natural/farm themed object sets and garden stuff.
Poetica Place - Objects, deco, garden. Lots of themed sets of deco build objects like hyper-modern rounded building, or an overpass covered in graffiti. Also community lot object sets like for a pawn shop or movie theater.
Sim a Little Dream a Lot - Mostly sports themed objects & deco, including hacked objects with custom animations.
Shiny Things - Skins, objects, deco, garden, and walls/floors. Also some themed skins of characters from books.
Sims Russian Vacation - Skins and objects, mostly Russian themed. There’s also cultural skins for other places like Thailand and Pakistan.
The Sims Emporium - From the same creator of Nyx’s Stuff in mostly a modern style. Windows/doors, walls/floors, objects, and garden.
Choco Toujours - Skins & heads. Mostly “normal” looking fashion, but there’s a few themed things like medieval and Halloween.
Corry’s Factory - Skins & heads. Some heads have pretty detailed 3D models instead of relying on the texture, which seems strange but seeing it in-game probably isn’t that crazy. Also anime sims like Sailor Moon and Final Fantasy.
Flamboyant - Skins & heads with sims based on popular Korean & Japanese musicians and anime characters.
Ever After Sims - Skins & heads like Vicki Vampiress & big fancy fur coat!
Eph’s Den of Many Sims - Windows/doors, walls/floors, objects, deco, garden, skins/heads, and pets. Themed sets too like mermaids and fairies.
DollHouse - Skins/heads, deco, and floors/walls.
Drop of Water - Skins/heads, pets, objects. Mostly anime characters like Death Note and Final Fantasy, plus pet skins like Rilakkuma or Cactuar. There’s also a hack to make Cloud Strife the pizza delivery guy.
i1 - Skins/heads mostly based on anime and objects.
Pa Ku Pa Sim - Skins/heads & objects. Anime skins for sims and pets like Touhou and Higurashi When They Cry with a cel-shaded effect.
Sims Pit - Anime themed skins/heads and pet skins like Fist of the North Star, Godzilla, and Mothra.
SiMoon Over - Anime skins/heads. Has some of the most HD/detailed Final Fantasy skins of any I’ve seen, and some random priest & nun skins.
Search My Soul - Windows/doors, objects, and deco. A lot of the build is in a Japanese style, plus things for fancying up community lots.
Gyoikoh Cherry Blossoms - Japanese object sets, full room sets, and quite a few hacked objects for coffee/tea/bars that let sims sit down and chat while drinking (requires the Hotel Tray Controller to work properly).
Shay’s Sims 1 Works - Skins/heads of anime characters and gothic style.
Heavy Red Sims - Gothic skins/heads.
SimWitch - Gothic/alternative skins/heads.
Ritual of Darkness - Gothic/alternative skins/heads.
Voodoo Sims - Gothic skins/heads.
Sims of Hades - Gothic/alternative skins/heads.

Simsylvania - Gothic/alternative skins/heads. Also lots of vampire themed things, like characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Interview With a Vampire.
Simage Homes - Objects including sets, walls/floors, lots
