Was I born to live?
Or born to die.
If I wasn’t meant to be....
Than who am I?
I’ve played in storms,
Barefoot and free.
Or maybe I am the storm,
I drown the ships alone at sea.
My eyes a reflection of the ocean,
My voice just the rage of commotion.
The tik clocks down to explosion,
I’m almost positive my veins are poisoned.
When I look in the mirror,
Who do I even see?
A cold blooded killer,
If my triggers win my ptsd.
What if I lose myself,
Or, maybe I already did.
I have no tales to tell,
I was never anybody’s kid.
I didn’t ask to be adopted,
I didn’t ask to be unheard.
I never understood why I was unwanted,
Or how things came to be so perverse.
My body was only an object,
Worth maybe the dollar in your purse.
I learned I was only a project,
And the abuse would only get worse.
My whole life ran off of survival,
When in reality I wish it was strength.
People who justify sins from the Bible,
Justified themselves to seem like saints.
In the garden of eden I learned from the snake,
How to run with life barefoot,
How to make the earth shake.
Nobody’s anything just carrying the storm,
Just a bite of strategy that helped me envelope these horns.
I’m now somebodies something,
I am the eye of this storm.
The rain pours heavily and I dance in it’s warmth,
I am justice, I am what you seek.
I am what you made me, the evil will speak...
Nothing to be unattained,
And I’ll soon be out of reach.
Let me be your lesson, teach, to each- your peace.
