So hard to find flat paved areas that aren’t parking lots or busy with cyclists and/or pedestrianssssss

#i don’t want to die nor hurt someone or be a nuisance but i wanna skate so bad and i’m not good enough for paths n trails yet :(((#i need to find a good practice area -> get good enough to not be a danger to myself and others -> skate the bike paths #but it’s so harrrrrd I’m allergic to leaving my house and i am so scared #at very least i’m mostly over being scared of having wheels stuck to my feet #hobbies are hard to take up. reading abt them is so easy but the ‘actually doing it’ part is so difficult

#pole dance #yes it was raining lightly yes it was so lovely i love this kind of weather #i inline skated like 2km to get to this playground and then back home #a little further bcs i decided to get off the bike trail at a different spot. thought i got lost twice #the rain got more insistent on my way home but i was so pleased and felt at peace #face

#dogblr #about mav #im being dramatic hes actually really good #ive skated with him on ice and rollerblades #and he has run next to the bike on a springer which was really fun #but for him to actually be pulling me at speed?#hes a little too distractable for that (even canicross is a stretch honestly)#also im not a confident biker and in case it wasnt clear i do not trust mav to stay on the trail #or to not stop dead in front of a tire to sniff something and get run over #im a much more confident skater so as long as we have the space (like the ice roads) i looooove skating with him

I'm so excited. I have a date (not a date-date, like just a playdate? A hang?) with my coworker on Thursday after work to go roller skating! I was lamenting the nice weather and how I never managed to find a place where I felt safe skating here, since this town is allergic to sidewalks and she was like, "oh, I know the place, my skates just live in my car, I'll show you."

I'm finally gonna get to go skating and im excited

#before anyone tries to 👀 me #theyre 19 and its really really just a coworker hang #theres a trail that i never really considered because i assumed it was just a small section that was paved #and ive mostly been on the not-paved portion #i am obsessing over my putfit though because ill need something work appropriate that i can get kneepads around #i havent actually skated in like 15 years so i anticipate falling and i dont fall well anymore #im old gandalf

#theyre a penguin thats a rejected member of the babylon rogues but went on to make their own extreme gear and become a racer #i think their backstory is sorta like syndrome from the Incredibles where he eas like ''lemme join yall are so cool'' but they said no cuz.#well bc they arent a babylonian. and then they went on to create their own version of an extreme gear that can morph between a board and #cool skate shoes like what shadow has. BUT they also have these gauntlets that create ice trails they skate on which make them much faster #sorry ive been thinking alot abt this. i still havent come up w a name tho i was thinking hail or blizzard but eh #ocs
