Where did Yona come from and why it matters.
I’ve been thinking about for a while but everything in the game implies that Yona isn’t from the Domain. Everyone in the Domain knows who Link is because Link has had the Domain practically be his second home. The Elderly, the Middle Aged and even the Children all know who Link is especially after he directly saved their home and created a statue in his Honor. It’s not like Hylians where he did so much work with a majority of the population didn’t know what he even looks like. Or like the Gerudo where most didn’t even know he was there. Link is an honest and true hero and icon for the Domain.
All this to say Yona doesn’t know who Link is, talks as if she showed up some time after the events of the first game, has directly mentioned visiting the domain with her entourage, King Dorephan and Sidon talk about her and handful of time like she’s not from around here, not to mention she’s royalty herself. All this goes to ask if she’s not from the Domain where is she from and I think it’s a deceptively simple answer: she’s from the Ocean.
In other games they make a point to show that theirs inland Zora and Sea Zora. The Zora of Zora’s Domain has always had their Domain in a large Water Source point that has rivers that extend across Hyrule. Zora’s Domain has never been in the Ocean. Yet we have had a small handful of opportunities to show they can and do live in the Ocean too. With Yona being an outsider and a Royal in her own right the only logical place she came from was the Ocean not too far from the Domain.
I always assumed theirs more Kingdoms outside of Hyrule as Hyrule is the name of a Kingdom, not the world. With Yona being a Royal from a kingdom beyond Hyrule it opens new possibilities and ideas for the future if Nintendo wants to take it.
The Gorons have no formal government and are simply subjects of the Hyrule Crown, Zora’s Domain is explicitly called a Kingdom itself but are vassals of Hyrule (this is probably simply because Zora value the water of Hyrule more than the land so theirs no real need for anything more) The Gerudo are interestingly never mentioned as subjects of Hyrule in any capacity and are called Allies instead meaning that they’re an independent Kingdom. (Given they have a Kingdom in the Desert theirs probably more cities and towns in the Gerudo desert we just don’t encounter because it’s a DESERT nation, that tends to be spread a little more thin. The Rito are an interesting case because while they don’t have a government they very clearly have a structure that could be the equivalent of one. The Rito have always had a very Native American feel to them. They may have status like the Zora, recognized as their own group and boundaries respected but still ultimately subject to the crown.
Now with Yona we have another independent Kingdom that is not allied to the Crown but rather allied to The Domain through marriage. I’m a nerd when it comes to fantasy and medieval politics so this revelation just gets my mind buzzing.

Okay, so, this is just me looking at what is mentioned in Creating a Champion and making connections or a theory. This isn't necessarily the case but I find it to be a fascinating (and... slightly awkward, if true) idea.
So, Creating a Champion says that the Zora armor is mainly made up from... dragon scales.
Tumblr media
So, potentially, the Zora armor has, along with possibly scales of Dinraal, Naydra, and Farosh... Light Dragon scales. And nobody knew

More Zelda Theories, about the Depths and the Statues!
BIG SPOILERS. DO NOT READ AHEAD UNLESS YOU HAVE GOTTEN THE MISSION "DEFEAT GANONDORF". FOR REAL, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
That said, this is a lot of theories about the Depths and more specifically the Bargainers, who seem to be a very prominent and important figure in this game, almost like the Zonai were in Breath of the Wild!
We'll start with anatomy, because there's a lot of interesting things to go off of there. As far as we can tell, the statues in the Depths of Zora, Rito, etc. are mostly unexaggerated and straightforward representations of the races they portray. But the Bargainer statues are...
Tumblr media
Let's just say they're big.
They are confirmed specifically to be Bargainers by the map marker, namely the one of this picture: the Bargainer Cliff Statue. This implies that it is, in fact, a representation of the group.
Some other interesting things about the anatomy you can somewhat see here: no discernible feet (potentially wearing shoes or armor) and hands that each end in three blunt fingers.
The other interesting part that we can see is their face.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Also this is a partial view of their upper half as well, which seems to be particularly hard to photograph)
Their head appears to be conical in shape with four eyes that feature prominently, especially due to the first real mission where you speak to the Bargainers and must throw their eyes into the chasms. (Also notable are their streak-like markings beneath the eyes, almost like Tears)
My two primary theories on the face is that it is either 1. A mask of some kind, with the eyes as a recurring motif and possibly some sort of symbolism, or 2. The Bargainers are constructs HEAR ME OUT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Evidence of it being a mask comes from the Hood of the Depths from the outfit you get from the Bargainers. It is shaped very similar to the head of the Bargainer statues, but the face is instead shrouded, the hood obscuring only one eye, and the rest of the face covered in the same wraps that cover Link's arms and legs.
It is POSSIBLE that the Bargainers themselves have four eyes, and using this hood structure only reveal one at a time, perhaps to keep other races from becoming unsettled, or maybe some sort of ceremonial reason. It is also possible that this is a lesser Bargainer outfit, and the ones the statues are built from have the four-eyed masks, and the statues are proof of reverence of those greater Bargainers.
Either suggests that the Bargainers are humanlike in nature, potentially a culture of their own similar to how the Sheikah are technically of the Hylian race (as seen in parentheses in the Character Dossier in ToTK).
It's also possible that they were a subculture of the Zonai, and Link's difference in outfit is due to it being an acolyte outfit rather than the outfit of a true Bargainer. It isn't, after all, called the Bargainer set, but the Depths set. It's possible that Hylians who worshipped the Zonai - and specifically the Bargainers - as gods wore these as some form of worship or ceremony.
My other theory, I personally think, holds less water, but it is interesting to pursue. Below is a spoiler for the Spirit Temple and the lead-up to it.
Tumblr media
This is Mineru's construct body after she's resurrected by Link. There are a couple notable things here that do, in fact, relate to the Bargainers.
First, the fact that the Construct Factory is in the Depths at all, which is an area seemingly mostly kept up by Bargainers in general. Second, the anatomy does admittedly seem to line up. Longer arms that reach the knees, the shape of the legs, the codpiece and the strange segmentation of the arms, which do end in three nubby fingers. Additionally, the "head" of Mineru's construct is an owl-styled mask similar to the one we see Rauru wearing around his neck, or on his face in the trailer.
The more I look at Mineru's construct, the more I begin to think that the statues are built after them, but story-wise, it has a lot of holes. It would imply that the Bargainers are, perhaps, sentient constructs. Would they be allowed free reign of the Depths? Allowed to create statues of themselves, in some form of robotic reverence?
The alternative is that they are, in fact, possessed constructs, similar to Mineru's. Interestingly, it does start to line up when you put it in that light. While the Bargainers have you collect Poes in the underground, they don't look like Poes from any of the previous Zelda games. Instead they look like Spirits, specifically those from Twilight Princess. They're said to be the souls of those who haven't yet moved on to the afterlife, and the Bargainers are able to shuffle them on their way.
Mineru, the Sage of Spirit, would be uniquely qualified to have followers who relate to spirits and souls. Putting their bodies into constructs as well wouldn't have been a huge challenge and - in fact - if the process was willing and not one of necessity, it would make sense that they would build statues of their new, superior forms.
Moving on from anatomy, we can briefly cover the abilities the Bargainer Statues seem to have.
The Bargainers are able to speak to Link in the same way many other creatures are: the Koroks, the Goddess Statues, the Horned Statue, etc. They are also able to not only take the souls that Link collects and move them to the afterlife, but compensate him for doing so. They can produce things like Dark Clumps or outfits designed to plumb the Depths. They're also able to reach out and find their "brethren" for Link to seek out and speak to. The more of them Link finds, the more they're able to work together and create better armor and gear for him.
The one on the Great Plateau says he "inhabits" the Goddess Statue to speak to Link. It feels almost as if the Bargainers are spirits themselves, able to possess objects, which is in line with the possessed construct theory.
There are two other interesting notes to leave this on, as I don't really have a conclusion for my theory at the moment. The first is about resources. Zonaite is found most prominently in the Depths, although some is found on sky islands as well. It's possible (or even probable) that the sky islands were ripped from the surface of Hyrule, or even below it, and that's why it's available on them. But Zonaite being found deep underground, and yet powering all of Zonai tech such as the Zonai Charges.
The other is about the name itself: Bargainers. Searching through the Zelda wiki for other instances of the word "bargain", only one primary entry comes up: The Statue's Bargain. This is the quest in Breath of the Wild in which you find and bargain with the Horned Statue. A dealer of life and wealth. A Bargainer, if you will.
It's possible that their powers originated not from a secret stone, like Mineru and her Spirit Sage powers, but instead from a god. Whereas Hyrulians worship Hylia and her encompassing light, it's possible that these Bargainers - maybe even the larger Zonai culture - instead worshipped Her opposite. Deep beneath the ground, away from sunlight and prying eyes, perhaps they did dealings with this strange, bargainer god. Wealth for life. Perhaps trading away your last heart for money, allowing the god to take all of your soul, would trap it permanently, forever adrift beneath Hyrule, as a Poe.
Maybe the Bargainers themselves are trying to atone for what they did, the lengths they went for riches and power, and what it took to become the monolithic figures they revered in statue form. Hylia, as we know, saw the dark god and trapped him forever within a statue. Perhaps his followers were not so different...
Edit: I absolutely forgot the fact that the Construct Factory steward mentions getting receipts and orders from Dragonhead Island, implying more than one construct needs to be built (which, I mean, they're factories and depots so of course). We see Mineru's earlier design in the Spirit Temple, and one hijacked by Kohga at the end of his storyline, so we know that there were at least several in circulation, but it makes sense that if the Bargainers were a race that inhabited construct bodies similar to Mineru, that it would be mass-produced like that.

alright fuck it... here’s my BOTW/TOTK timeline theory
(full spoilers for BOTW/TOTK do not proceed without beating the games)
okay, so the first thing i want to mention is that i don’t believe BOTW/TOTK fits within any timeline or at the bottom of the 3. i think this is a trilogy, the first game being Skyward Sword.
here’s my explanation:
Hyrule was yet to be founded at the start of SS. we start off on the island of skyloft, which has a very similar appearance of the great sky island we wake up on in TOTK. and it has been shown that if you flip skyloft upside down, it will be similar to the great sky island.
by the end of SS, we have visited several areas which are very similar in placement to the map we see in BOTW/TOTK. the eldin, the faron, and lanayru regions. Eldin being the home of death mountain, faron being the water/forest region similar to what  it is in BOTW/TOTK, and lanayru being a desert area very similar to the layout of what we know as the gerudo desert. the rest of SS map is blank, bc theoretically, they have gone unexplored. it should also go unsaid that over 10k years, there is bound to be a geographical shift, creating different valleys, mountains, hills, barrens, etc. so while it looks slightly off, with that in mind, what we find in BOTW/TOTK map does make sense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
plus, we don’t actually see sky era Link and Zelda found Hyrule, just that they have found the surface and plan on bringing their people down from the sky. we also never see how long each era of hero/princess live, but since usually 100 years pass between each new hero being born, there is roughly 80-100 years if not more unaccounted for. we also don’t know by the end of SS if there are other sky islands, bc if there’s one, then there is probably others. possibly one’s with Zonai, bc we find by the end of TOTK that the last few remaining descended to the surface, probably not long after Link and Zelda of the sky era.
however, since we do know that Rauru and Sonia are officially the first king and queen of hyrule, that obviously would be contradicting if Link and Zelda did, so that would mean that within the sky era, they were not able to found the kingdom and possibly passed away shortly before the Zonai descended because we find out that Sonia was a priestess of the world (bc there wouldn’t have been a queen or king in that case) and together with their powers, zonai constructs etc they were able to build the castle, the forgotten temple, zonai ruins (possibly even after what happened after rauru and sonia’s deaths) built the kingdom based upon the finding of sky era Link and Zelda.
they are not aware however of the master sword, bc since the kingdom is just being founded, they do not know it exists until Zelda travels back in time to mention it. from this point, the master sword would have likely been moved to a safer place (now known as the lost woods to be looked over by the great deku tree)
which brings me to my next point, the ancient hero. now, i know that it is being theorized that rauru and sonia must’ve had a daughter bc of when sonia tells zelda “i sense that we share a blood connection”. but i think that is being read too much into. bc every incarnation of zelda is of the goddess hylia, which would be more of a spiritual connection... but i don’t think by saying “blood connection” is wrong even if they did not have a child. also zelda’s mother in BOTW was not a goddess descendant. plus, that would invalidate the ancient hero, who is very clearly half hylian/half zonai based upon the ancient hero’s aspect, which shows this. also it would say that Link and Zelda are brother/sister, which isn’t true. because rauru would be the chosen hero of that time, so the ancient hero could not awaken until after his death.
this is when ganondorf becomes the demon king, after demise promised would be born time and time again along with each new hero and princess, which we have seen previously throughout older iterations. through rauru, who imprisons him away and binds his magic, the calamity, is a mere mirage of the power he still contains attempting to undo his seal so he can bring chaos upon Hyrule again. the first time we see the calamity is through the ancient hero, who seemingly is using the master sword, which would have been found after Zelda mentioned it to Rauru and word passed down through the sage’s (who i also believe the divine beasts are named after). the first calamity is able to be sealed away, as it has numerous times until the events of BOTW.
so, the events of BOTW and TOTK play out and that’s where the story for this ends.
now, let’s address the other games. because there is a huge implication of other domains and worlds existing by the mention of it, through a character named Yona, who says she traveled from another domain, which would mean that there are other worlds. possibly with their own heroes and princesses, bc throughout TOTK we find armor that can be obtained from previous games and locations from those games as well, which, i mostly believe is just nintendo being nostalgic and wanting to honor those games, not exactly saying that they exist in this timeline.
but what if they do? what if through other kingdoms, or universes, those events all did happen and they have either been brought to us from those who have traveled from other worlds and/or universes. because at the end of the day, it is called the legend of zelda for a reason. a legend does not exactly mean it happened, but these armors and locations say, yes, they did happen and here is the proof they did. but possibly just not in this time.
we always assume that only one hero and princess can be alive at once, which, i personally believe to be true, but what if it’s not? we know that TOTK, no other male gerudos have been born because ganondorf is still alive, but that doesn’t mean that demise couldn’t attempt to reincarnate himself through ganondorf in another kingdom or universe. with the power that we saw demise carry, he would be capable of doing so, so why not? why could these games not all occur at the same time other ones?
(also there is the theory of the dragons in BOTW/TOTK, which has been almost basically proven to be zonai who swallowed secret stones bc how else would mineru know about it? but the zonai were also believed to be gods, so... what if they were and that’s how we got our dragons?)
let me know your own thoughts!

Me: So a friend says she thinks that the rabbit figure might be a Zonai interpretation of Hylia
Brother: That doesn’t make any sense, the traditional Zonai symbol for wisdom is an owl.
Me:...well. what. if it isn’t a rabbit. what if it’s an horned owl. We’ve seen horned owls in Zelda before, like Kaepora Gaebora.
*moment of silence*
Me and Brother: Ooooooooooooooooooh

Idk if it's a coincidence or foreshadowing, but it looks like the Goron chief knew that Zelda was in the sky in dragon form before we arrive at the village!
I can only give the example of the french version, but when Yunobo talks about the mysterious lady who gave him red rock food, the others go "could it be Zelda?" and the chief says "Well, with her gold mane, Zelda is impossible to miss"
And a kid replies "Gold mane? You mean blond hair?" and the chief goes oh yeah that's right
Since the whole plot of TOTK is a time loop with paradoxes I feel like this can't be just a dialog joke. The chief knew who the dragon was and said 'Well Zelda is up there, how can you not see her?'

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - new trailer thoughts and theories
Tumblr media
We open on what are presumably long-forgotten Zonai ruins beneath the land of Hyrule, maybe even beneath the castle itself. I’m guessing Link (and maybe Zelda) will find these in the ruins they are searching underground. The remnants of an ancient story, what I think will be another layer of the story of the first Calamity 10,000 years ago.
Tumblr media
We see ancient moblins and bokoblins (notice the horns seen in previous totk trailers) fighting Hylians. They’re surrounded by Malice. This is also more to the story of the first Calamity.
Tumblr media
This being is in the sky and surrounded by 7 tears (maybe a reference to the 7 sages of Ocarina of time). In this installment, they probably represent 7 spirits or sages that Link will need to find to collect spirit energy, or wake them from their 10,000 year slumber to best Ganondorf once more.
I’m guessing this creature or spirit we see here is the being whose hand had sealed Ganondorf underneath Hyrule Castle after the first Calamity.
As seen in the other trailer, Link and Zelda disrupt that seal when they find corpse Ganondorf and the ground opens up, threatening to swallow them both. We see Link’s arm being overwhelmed by the spirit energy, perhaps from the hand itself.
Then, we see Link reaching for Zelda to keep her from falling into the chasm. They almost both fall and the spirit hand presumably lets go Ganondorf to catch Link. Ganondorf is released, and his Malice spreads, corrupting the Master Sword.
I think this will be the beginning of the game, separating Zelda from Link and giving him the reason for a new quest.
Tumblr media
Then, we see the carved figure of Ganondorf, in the same position as his corpse version from the first trailer. There are hints of Malice below him, and what might be a figure or a piece of architecture next to him.
Tumblr media
Now present day Link, hand still “corrupted,” but it looks like just his fingertips are bad now, maybe it fluctuates?
Also note the expandable vials on Link’s hip. These must be containers for spirit energy. This might serve the same purpose as the spirit orbs in botw - heart and stamina upgrades - or perhaps the spirit energy is used for some of the new mechanics we’ve seen - the ancient Link jumping up through the floor of one of the floating lands or the puddle of tear-like spirit energy, both of which are the same color as these vials.
Tumblr media
In the next scene, we see the same mechanic we saw in trailer 2, the time or energy reversal mechanic. I believe we see Link here, using it to reverse the energy of a fallen block of sky land, thus using it to ascend to the sky.
Notice the storm surrounding the piece of land behind him, meaning there must be mechanics so not everything is easily accessible right away.
And look at the bird/bat thing!! - at the very end of this clip we see a creature we have never seen before! Some kind of flying enemy probably. Bat-like wings, extended tail with little tail fins too. The time-reversal mechanic makes the world less saturated, so I can’t wait to see what color this weird little thing is.
Tumblr media
In the final gameplay clip there is so much to see. Death Mountain is also erupting Malice now. There are new types of floating structures that we haven’t seen before. Some new holes and bumps and things on the landscape of Hyrule itself.
There are two of the glowing Zonai glyphs on the face of Hyrule, which must signify something important. The locations of one of the 7 spirits whose tears we must collect? The location of an underground entrance, revealing new Zonai lore and secrets? Full-on classic Zelda dungeons? I am so excited to find out!
One note about the glider: it seems to be part of the intact ancient tech, much like the strange pine-cone shoulder guy we saw in trailer two. It has very similar design motifs and colors.
Tumblr media
We saw the partial version of this carving earlier in the trailer, now mostly obscured by the title. Two figures with joined hands. The figure on the right is probably Zelda, or the ancient version of the mortal incarnation of the goddess. The other figure is the long-eared spirit. They are ceremonially together with two (spirit?) tears above them, perhaps a pact between sages, or goddess and sage?
However, this is my favorite theory: The large-eared spirit is ancient Link once he is fully consumed by the spirit energy. Thus, the carving at the end is ancient Link and ancient Zelda combining their tears into a heart shape and using their love to seal Ganondorf and save Hyrule. So cute, this has to be it right?!
And then we get our title. I am so excited for this installment of the franchise! I can’t wait to find what secrets have yet to be revealed and explore this new map.
Here are some other theories, because why not make this post longer? lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Spirit
If the spirit is the ancient hero when he's full of spirit energy, then the hand holding Ganondorf’s is therefore ancient Link’s which is how present-day Link gains access to the story of old. Maybe it’s not strictly time travel, but a dive into the consciousness of the ancient hero. Thus, our present day Link can repair the mistakes of old.
Another theory: The ears are so dramatically elvish, maybe this is the first of the Hylians or a new version of Hylia herself? The shoes are also very reminiscent of Zant and the design of the Twilight Realm from Twilight Princess. It’s ears also remind me of Kaepora Gaebora.
Other Thoughts:
We’ve never seen Ancient Link’s face in any of the trailers, what if he looks totally different!
The large-eared spirit saw the Calamity happening 10,000 years ago and thrust Hyrule up into the sky to save it. The seven spirits joined to lift Hyrule, while the large-eared spirit sealed Calamity Ganon away with the help of the hero. The goddess created a sky barrier to keep the sky hidden. Then, two Hyrules diverged, and this is why almost all trace of the Zonai history has disappeared. They were actually the ancient Hylians moved to the sky.
The ouroboros of the Zonai dragons at the end is going to be the Gate of Time, allowing Link to travel back to inhabit the ancient hero to find out the truth of the first Calamity.
We still have not seen any direct reference to the triforce. I wonder if it will come into play at all in this installment.
The new script text we’ve seen has a continual motif of reflection. This makes me think of the Twilight Realm, of the mirror land of Link to the Past, of the sky lands mirroring the lands below. I think we’re going to see a lot of classic Zelda time travel mechanics come back in a new way - Skyward Sword but elevated.

Brains just gone brrr since the trailer release but what if those glowing bits you can see on the floor at the end of the trailers are the parts of the world where Link and Zelda can interact?
This floor painting flipped upside down looks like the mural in the cave painting
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we can assume that this is supposed to be Zelda, either in current botw or in the past, but we know she’s underground somewhere so what if these energy points are created by her for link to find her, helping her progress underground??
It’s a very underdeveloped theory but I miss her and we’ve not seen her since the first trailer so I’m going to pull at all the staws. Nintendo give me girl back!

What are your thoughts on Tears of the Kingdom? What aer you looking forward to? Do you have any theories abou what's going to happen? (If you've seen the artbook leak please don't say any spoilers for that.)
~ 🌲
I have seen the artbook but I will utter no spoilers, I consider this a safe place for those not looking to see the leaks.
I'm more than incredibly excited, this is the first time I've been able to actually wait on a game I've been passionate about until it comes out (mainly because my fixations only last a few months but this time Zelda been going for over a year and counting). I'll only mention stuff from the trailers, I love that they've gone and embraced a really dark tone and atmosphere but we also know that it's gonna be light-hearted at times too, duality is something I love in Zelda games. Not to mention the monster designs! Nintendo took a lot of criticisms to heart from BotW and improved on it for TotK. There's like 8 different species of monster now lol. AND REDEADS! I adore redeads they make their games so creepy!
So I'll talk about the theory I had before looking at the artbook. My idea was that TotK was going to shatter everything we knew about the franchise and basically make the timeline a big circle with no end. And also that Hylia is a monster, I really want a monstrous Hylia - it would be so fun compared to pretty blonde woman who's maybe tall and has wings like in the manga. In a way, I do still believe this will happen, but the artbook changed some little details and nuances so I think I'll just keep it vague for now ^^

Totk last trailer thoughts - Ganondorf, temples, tears…
I sorta wonder if what Ganondorf pulls out of the earth with his awakening are all the old temples - all the traditional dungeons we didn’t have in botw. Where the origins of the sages/zonai/ deities (whatever) were kept or intentionally burried long ago… maybe to start anew or they realized collectively the only way to keep him sealed was to burry it all- including themselves (the sacrifice “the tears” of that kingdom). And he’s like no, look at it all (don’t look away), the ruins, your tombs - he’s pulling up the hyrule he tried to rule (he was meant to rule) 10,000 plus years ago back to the surface. He doesn’t care/ doesn’t know this new hyrule. He’s been stasis forever. He wants the hyrule he lost and he wants revenge on the people(s) that took it from him. He’s literally pulling up the past and Zelda, through magic, is thrust into the past when it all started.
And then we have Link who loves this hyrule (not the 100 year ago hyrule he barely remembers), the one he’s helped open back up, breathed life into, built many parts from the ground up. We have a hero that isn’t plucked from a forest or off a farm- he’s so much a part of the whole Hyrule from his journey in botw.
And this hyrule loves him. They are not an old man handing a child a sword, this isn’t just some terrible fate thrust upon him…They are his people and they decide this time, we fight with him. Beside him.
I wonder if with each temple you take a different companion and that’s how each chosen person/being ends up with a tear. They become the new sages of hyrule together.
The old loz phrase is literally put to rest, “It’s dangerous to go alone, take this” becomes “it’s dangerous to go alone, take me.” This time link doesn’t have to do it alone.

Interesting Things in the Final TotK Trailer (Part 1)
Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
Starting at the very beginning, we get a shot of the sky above Hyrule, and see a soldier construct fighting a chuchu — that opens up some fun gameplay opportunities if you can get them to fight monsters for you or vice versa!
Tumblr media
Next we see a glimpse of Hateno, which seems to have grown… mushrooms? This might be related to the underground elements. The most effected building seems to be the one that in BotW sold armour sets, so they’re probably selling something else now. My guess is either potions or fireworks! There also seems to be a new trend of mushroom hats, so maybe they’re still just doing clothes.
Tumblr media
Next, we see a camp in Castle Town, with a little Link walking through. They’re rebuilding! Hopefully this is a quest like Tarrey Town, where we can help them out as we run around Hyrule.
Tumblr media
A better look at the ring structure spotted in previous trailers and the shrine-like structures! There seems to be some scaffolding around the ring, maybe the Sheikah are investigating it? The shrine-structure also has two colours (green and blue) in its spiral where before we only saw green. Is this just a better look or does it mean it’s not fully activated yet? Kakariko itself seems fine, even if some sky island debris seems to have narrowly missed it.
Tumblr media
Typhlo Ruins, now without shadow! I wonder if we’ll find anything interesting there now we can actually see? Also, rather than disappearing altogether, the shadows surrounding it may have just gone up, as there’s a cloud seen in a previous trailer that looks oddly similar.
Tumblr media
A mysterious structure rising from the ground… could it be a dungeon? Maybe even the Arbiter’s Grounds or Desert Colossus?
Tumblr media
Our first glimpse of Ganondorf, all powered up by the Blood Moon. I wonder if this is when he first wakes up and rises Hyrule Castle from the ground, or just before Link fights him at the very end of the game?
Tumblr media
Link trying to grasp Zelda’s hand, and just missing — is it just me or does his arm look a lot more malice-y than the previous times we’ve seen this scene? Maybe it bursts out just as he’s about to catch her?
