Holden Torana SLR & SLR 5000, 1976. The LX series was the last Torana offered with V8 engines (4.2 or 5.0 litre). It was available as a 4 door saloon or 3 door hatchback coupé. The 3rd generation Torana was the first and only mid-size car designed, developed and manufactured in Australia.

Frey would take Auden with her to go back to NY once she was sure the break was no longer a risk and could bring her cat over. She would tell Auden something like "there's....something like the Break there too, kind of. You just can't...see it. But it gets to people, you know? I want you there just in case I..." *sigh* and Auden who has decided to honor her father's memory by unquestioningly supporting her Tanta like he did his would agree.

Frey would take Auden to Footlocker to show off her beloved shoes while everyone looked at their clothes like what the fuck and Frey would make her eat a Knish and Judge Maya Bird would open her upscale condo's door and do a double-take "Where the hell have you been Alfre" "who is this?!" "why are you dressed like...?!" and Homer meanwhile would run up beside her meowing and Frey would drop to one knee starting to cry as Homer leapt into her arms. Maya would believe nothing Frey said even if (especially if) Auden was enthusiastically cosigning it

Holden Torana SLR 5000 (modified)

This 1976 Holden Torana SL/R 5000 is an Australian icon, complete with an extensive list of performance modifications. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 355 cubic inch (5.8-litre) V8 engine which sends 447kW (600hp) to the rear wheels. This powertrain is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This car’s fitting specification pairs Barbados Green paintwork with black accents, while the interior is upholstered in black vinyl. The car sports SL/R 5000 styling including pumped guards and rear duck-tail spoiler, plus it scores the large air dam on the bonnet. The car rides on a set of black/chrome 14-inch Holden wheels wrapped in Sumitomo/Firenza tyres. Performance mods include a five-speed Tremec TKO transmission, nine-inch diff, 750 xp Holley carburettor, and fuel pump.

HQ Holdens and LJ Toranas on the production line in August 1973 at the Holden Acacia Ridge assembly plant in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Plans were set up for the Brisbane plant in July, 1964 to start construction of the $20 million Acacia Ridge plant. On January the 19th, 1965, assembly operations started at Acacia Ridge with the limited assembly of HD Holdens. The Holden Torana was released to the Australian press at Acacia Ridge in September, 1967, and production of the Gemini started in 1975. The plant employed up to1500 workers, and was then to close with the final vehicles coming off the production line at the end of October in 1984

Holden Torana/Sunbird UD series, 1980. The LX/UC series had seen the Torana range split between 6 cylinder models that retained the Torana designation and 4 cylinder versions that adopted the Sunbird model name. There were plans for a UD series that would have included a 5-door hatchback not previously offered. However it was decided that the cars would be outdated (their platform dated back to the early 70s, engines from the 1960s) compared to the Chrysler (Mitsubishi) Sigma, Nissan Bluebird and Mazda 626 they would compete with. The UD project and 5-door Sunbird/Torana were cancelled and the Australian version of the GM J-car (the Holden Camira) was introduced in 1982 to replace them

So I can sight-read Athian with some difficulty now because I'm fucking insane, and per @cruelfeline's suggestion I checked the torana archive entry. Y'all, it's fascinating. I'm absolutely delighted! :D

There are some words I can't quite make out or that the margins just plain cut off, but I can make a relatively educated guess on a few of them.

"Torana" is misspelled at the top of the left-hand page; it actually says "Trana." I find this amusing :P

"The gate of mind thro[ugh] the Other S[???]"

The diagram is labeled with a T on the far left, A1(number I don't recognize, so it's either 4, 5, or 6) on the smaller circle, D on top of the big circle and Q on the bottom, and on the right side of the circle is four words that I'm reasonably certain are DIST, SPA, TIM, and POW, or distance, space, time, and power

The spiral diagram is labeled Day 2(another number between 4 and 6) at the top, and at the bottom in the middle I think is GP (the G is hard to read and probably isn't even a G) and W on the right

The paragraphs between those two diagrams read (as best I can tell) "It seems that it is pos[sible to] alter the nature of distance [???] through sheer force of will [???]" and "By visualizing where one wi[shes to] be, and firmly fixing that i[mage in] mind, a connection between [our] present location and a des[ired] destination can be establi[shed] [???] "hole" punctured in the v[ery] [???] space."

The diagram at the bottom has ?K at the top (where the ? is a letter I can't read) and P(a third number I don't recognize between 4 and 6) at the bottom

On the right-hand page it says "o[f] ability to exploit this phenomenon improves with [???] [passi]ng day, and we are able to reach ever more [???][ding] locations."

"[???]ingly, the need to clearly visualize the intended [???] seems less important than first imagined."

The diagram below is Q on the left, S in the middle, and L,PM on the right

The last two paragraphs read "While these results are encouraging, the technique will need to be pushed to its very limits if it is to prove the solution to our current crisis of scarcity."

"And as we push, the risks grow ever greater..."

...That's not ominous.

In other news! I've discovered I need a clear, high-res texture of the book Treahy's reading, because it's completely illegible no matter how close I zoom. And unless that's placeholder text like the other sheets I've been translating, I expect it to be fascinating.
