Monster Slayer, Dark Winds, 1.01

Enfin une adaptation des aventures des flics navajos imaginés par le regretté Tony Hillerman qui en sus de cette saison de six épisodes aura une saison é en 2023. Mais surtout enfin une série mettant en vedette l'un de mes comédiens amérindiens favoris (avec l'immense Wes Studi), à savoir Zahn McClarnon. S'il joue les seconds couteaux à la téloche depuis la fin des années 80, je l'ai surtout découvert dans Longmire où, déjà, il joue un policier tribal au charisme très intense. Je l'ai retrouvé ensuite dans l'étonnant BONE TOMAHAWK de S. Craig Zahler. Et puis, l'an passé, il a fait une apparition dans Hawkye où il était l'oncle d'Echo, le personnage qu'il incarnera à nouveau dans la série du même nom. Mais les fans de Westworld se souviennent aussi qu'il était dans la saison 2 et qu'on le retrouve aussi dans la récente saison 4.

A noter que la série, outre qu'elle a été tournée en pays navajo, est écrite par des scénaristes amérindiens, et produite par Robert Redford et, plus étonnant encore, par George R.R. Martin !
