கர்த்தர் உங்களை உயரமான ஸ்தலங்களில் நடக்க பண்ணுவார். உங்களை அளவில்லாமல் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.
The Lord will make you walk on high places. He will bless you immeasurably.
ஆபகூக் 3:19 Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign Lord Is My Strength; He Makes My Feet Like The Feet Of A Deer, He Enables Me To Go On The Heights.
My dear brothers and sisters, it is our Lord who makes our feet like legs. No matter how high the rocks are, deer's feet are stable without slipping. That is how the Lord will make your feet stable on the path of life. The Lord is with you, who makes your feet firm so that you do not stumble. He is able to keep you from slipping and keep you immaculate with great joy in His glorious presence. Cry out to the Lord when your heart is hardened by various trials; He will take you to the top of a high rock. The Lord will lift you up. The Lord will change poverty, turn evil things into good things.

I've been reading Exodus lately and I've just gotten to the portions where God gives the first commands to the people via Moses (twice), and then goes on to give detailed instructions about the tabernacle and how it should be built, and I'm just... we think art is unimportant?? we think things only mean as much as their functionality?? we so easily fall into the trap of believing that beauty means nothing, that it's cheap and only worth whatever mindless distraction it brings, that it's barely more than a cheap sensual thrill, that buildings should just be practical and plain and cheap, that everything should be functional but ultimately disposable, that paintings and dresses and mugs and curtains and carpets are just pretty but have no real value, that beauty is fleeting and vain and therefore shouldn't be thought about too much, if even looked for at all... we fall into these traps so easily, and we forget that there are chapters upon chapters of painstakingly detailed plans to build one portable worship tent, and those plans have been handed down through thousands of years of human history, because beauty and art and skill in craft is important
#I have to go get ready for work now but I will come back to this#and don't even get me started on the parts about God calling specific craftsmen *by name*#he called them!! by name!!! he said 'this man is good at his job. he creates beautiful work. he will build my temple and make it beautiful'#and even more--God inspired him!!!! it was a calling of GOD for him to create beautiful carvings and tapestries and candlesticks!!!#look even if you're not jewish or christian or religious at all you have GOT to see what it means that all these incredibly detailed plans#for building this tent-temple are extremely important#because even if you don't believe in God and don't think that this is all significant bc he personally gave the instructions#and then helped preserve this record of them so we could still read them today#you do have to see how important they were to the people of that time who first wrote them down#and the extreme care that was taken to record all of those detail#AND the fact that it's been preserved for so long and we can still read all the care that was put into creating this incredible piece#of artwork and worship they made#gurt says stuff#I just. gahhfhhfj. I'm feeling emotional about chapters of the Bible that I can't even fully force myself to pay attention to#bc there's so MUCH and I'm bad at visualizing this stuff and I tend to zone out while listening to it#but the fact that it IS that much!!! that there SO MUCH DETAIL and it goes on for SO LONG that I even struggle to pay attention!!!#that this was THAT IMPORTANT to the people who wrote it and to God!!! as an artist and someone who has always cared about art#this means so much to me ok#christianity#bible verse#bible thoughts#exodus#art#theology

“Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray.
Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” —Matthew 14:22‭-‬33 (NIV)
“Walking on Water” By Kurt Selles:
“At Rock Spring on the Appalachian Trail, I woke to a cold and windy day under threatening clouds. By the time I had finished breakfast, it was sleeting. Soon I was walking in a swirling snowstorm, barely able to see the path ahead.
Walking on snow is the closest I’ll ever come to walking on water. Only Jesus can do that.
When Jesus walked across the stormy sea to meet his disciples, they saw that he was more than a teacher. Jesus is God, the Lord of creation. Nature is under his feet. He transcends natural law and controls the wind and the waves.
Inviting Peter to step out of the boat and onto the water, Jesus called Peter to trust in him. And Peter had to trust Jesus fully, embracing his leading and guidance in the slippery, uncertain place he was walking.
Jesus calls us to trust him too, and, like Peter, we often fail. When we see where we are stepping, our doubts quickly become terrorizing, and we feel ourselves sinking helplessly into the deep. Jesus calls us to look to him alone, and he reaches out his hand to us. Turning to Jesus, we are again in the care of the One who controls the wind and the waves. Jesus will never let us sink.
Lord Jesus, give us the faith to trust you wherever you lead us along the paths of life. In your name we pray. Amen.”

It is so humbling to start using an actual lexicon after months of the one inside the language learning textbook from which all the assignments were constructed. No, I don't actually know the alphabet, why do you ask?

Verse of the Day - Proverbs 2:11
Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. —Proverbs 2:11 Thoughts on Today’s Verse… I have made my greatest mistakes when I made decisions, commitments, and plans in haste — when I didn’t allow unrushed time to consider what I should decide, do, or say. While discretion and understanding are partially acquired through learning and experience, they are also a gift from God.…
