Gen
Tintin and the Maze of the Minotaur - Tintin goes to do a report on a recent dig in Greece that uncovered a labyrinth, but there’s villains afoot and Tintin is driven into the maze to escape. Supernatural/Adventure. A case fic featuring ghosts, mythology, and really wonderful characterization. Fun read with the cutest line breaks. One-shot.
Wonderful - Sakharine had only ever seen beauty in model ships, until he meet Tintin. Even as the young reporter continuously thwarts his plans, and his advances, Sakharine grows more determined to have Tintin for his own. Drama. Following, Tintin, Haddock, and Sakharine’s POVs through a slight AU of the movieverse. Well, and very creepily written, this work explores a more base motivation behind Sakharine’s actions along with his greed. Warning for dark subject matter and threats of sexual assualt (nothing graphic, cause that is not how I roll). One-shot.
Tintin, Haddock Friendship
A Friend Indeed - Tintin is just a little sick. He’ll be fine, really he will. At least - that’s what he thinks. TintinXHaddock - comfort only - nothing more. Hurt/Comfort/Friendship. This is purely hurt/comfort with a good bit of Tintin being stubborn. I believe slash is implied, but I prefer to read it as friendship. One-shot.
Friendship and Adventure - In which Captain Haddock helps Tintin move to Marlinspike Hall and wants to talk about distracting ladies. Friendship. Haddock and Tintin discuss sexuality in a round-a-bout way. Am I reccing this because Tintin is asexual? Yes, yes I am. One-shot.
Of Ill Winds and Weathered Storms - As the Captain is pulled into another adventure, he grows concerned that Tintin might go too far for a story. “If I’ve learned anything from that lad,” Haddock said, taking another bite of his sandwich and talking with his mouth full, “it’s that there are places where a question mark is simply unacceptable. And that’s Tintin himself, I suppose.” Friendship/bromance. Drama/Friendship. A well written series with a few one-shots interspersed. The author does a wonderful job with the characerization. WIP, abandoned.
Our First Noel - Captain Haddock has recently moved into Marlinspike Hall, and has invited Tintin to spend Christmas with him. But what the Captain doesn’t realise is that for Tintin, Christmas means memories he may not want to face. Friendship/Hurt/Comfort. A cute series centered on Tintin and Haddock’s friendship. It’s sappy in places and the writing is good, but the plot is often tropey and unrealistic. Complete.
Small Blessings - After all these years, Tintin still manages to surprise Haddock- even when he’s not trying. Friendship. Haddock still has a lot of things to learn about Tintin. After all the adventures they’ve shared, neither have addressed their pasts all that much. Warning to past implied/referenced child abuse. One-shot.
The Secret of the Unicorn - Direct continuation of my Modern!Tintin story The Shooting Star. Now featuring pirates and an exciting fight! Modern!Tintin retelling of the classic Herge adventure. Mystery/Crime. The author is really good at modernizations and I really enjoy the series. Complete.
Tintin and the Alph Art An Imagining - My interpretation of the unfinished final Tintin story. Set in an updated, modern world complete with cool phones, gadgets and Facebook. I hope someone enjoys reading this as much as I’m enjoying writing it. Adventure/Mystery. A pretty well written modernization an take on the tribute comic to Herge. Complete.
Tintin and the Incident with the Mulish Cork - A hallucination. Based on page 30 of “Tintin and the Crabs with the Golden Claws”, yet set in the movieverse. Hurt/Comfort/Angst? A more intense version of the scene where Haddock hallucinates that Tintin is a bottle of alcohol and nearly throttles him. Drabblish, more of a novelization and slight continue of the comic scene, but still fun. One-shot.
Wound - As he recovers from his kidnapping at the hands of a no-name jewelry thief, Tintin realizes that not every story is one he will walk away from unscathed. The harder lesson yet: there is now someone he can lean on when walking isn’t an option. Friendship. Tintin has been on his own for so long that accepting another’s help feels foreign. But he finds that a friend’s help is exactly what he needs. One-shot.
Tintin/Haddock (I actually really dislike the pairing mainly because I prefer friendship between the two and the thought of romance between them kind of ruins some childhood memories. I usually try to read these as friendship)
Soul on Fire - Haddock must resuscitate Tintin after an incident in Cuba. Angst/Hurt/Comfort. PWP about Haddock having to rescue Tinin and the internal turmoil that ensues. Slash, but only in a few places (which I pointedly ignore when reading). One-shot.
