When did u first get into lotr?
June 2023! I spent all my life until that point making jokes about being one of the only people to never see it because "they only walk, right? And the movies are SOOO LONG."
I told my friend who is a big fan that I've never seen it and he immediately set some movie time for us. I told him "look, I know I'll get hyperfixated. Don't do this to me."
We watched the theatrical cuts. FOTR first obviously and a week later TT and ROTK. While we were watching, he literally didnt allow me to look away LMAO.
I bought the books to read immediately. Read the hobbit, watched the movies. I enjoyed the first one, the two others not so much. Then read the LOTR trilogy. ROTK in one sitting.
Ordered the extended editions a few months later and since then I've rewatched them like once a month lol.

ok i love love love mad max: fury road. god i honestly think its the perfect movie for me. the fucking WAR BOYSSSSSSS fuck yeah i love the war boys and i love the art direction for that movie, all the action and imagery and everything its just great. i also LOVE arrival- i watched it for the first time stoned with my cousin and sibling and it blew my fucking mind. proceeded to rewatch it immediately afterwards, and then again the next morning sober a third time. OH also tarzan (1999) love everything abt that movie- the animation the soundtrack the story everythings great

(this isn’t 100% accurate cuz I’ve decided to include shows that are still airing and they may move up or down on the list once they’ve finished airing. Shows with multiple seasons/spin-offs will be counted as one unless I decided that they’re too different to be in one rank. And lastly, I don’t dislike the shows that are low on the list—unless I explicitly say so—I’ve just watched a shitload of dramas, so don’t attack me if ur fave is at 26 or smth lmao)
