Really wanted to share this clip since I think about it all the time. It's such a great way to approach music and art in general. If something makes you feel strongly, even (especially) if it's strongly negative, think about why it makes you feel that way and which parts of it cause the strong emotions.
For music specifically, this helps avoid the territorialism that's so easy to fall into with regard to genres, styles, or sounds. Are the things you hate about it truly bad, or just not to your taste?
This doesn't mean you have to like everything either. It's perfectly fine to dislike something because it's not to your taste or because you think it's failing to achieve what it set out to do. Examining your gut reactions means you're able to learn from things you hate, even if the only thing you learn is that it sucks.
3x3 for TDOPOM with Tim and Noah. It’s really needed so please provide 🤭
Ask and you shall receive!
Sadie smiled: she hadn't known Noah was so good with children, but she was glad to find out. She wondered how it would work if he had children with someone else - could she and Tim still be in his life in that case? She was probably thinking too far ahead again.
