A WHOLE NEW TECHNICOLOUR WORLD

after scraping down the internet i found little bits of dialogue and unseen snippets of scenes that are there in the long trailer and saw an eng sub for 2 of those 'trailers' and I'm going crazy. all nuts and bolts on the floor, scattered, rolling away into oblivion. the dialogues are so good guys i CANNOT wait to see how it goes down from now on. once yuan is back. after having lived with his feelings for Years and Years, that they no longer make him scared or ashamed or disgusted anymore. or as many suggest when he returns ready to snipe back, 'pettier' (and prettier- THAT'S THE FIRST thing he asked qian when he comes back, atleast from the long trailer-). when Qian is the one in agony, the kind Yuan was in before he left. after all the loneliness both of them went through. as full grown lived in adults (Qian alr was but his world was yet to shift, i.e he still doesn't know how to make sense of anything or ever cared to dwell on anything thinking he doesn't want anything for he has his family, his brother- but now he's going to WANT, perhaps for the first time ever. and i. Cannot. Wait.

ok if i was gonna do a collab zine for application for release from the dream. i have two thoughts. number 1 is less structured anyone just makes a page related to the song like whatever they feel like doing. number 2 would be more structured and ppl could take a different section of lyrics to make a page about so it coheres as a lyric zine. what do we think.

Publishers' Binding Thursday

Today's Publishers' Binding Thursday book was found while simply browsing our stacks—and what a find it is! This is Poems, Dramatic and Lyrical by English poet, coin enthusiast, and botanist John Leicester Warren, Lord de Tabley (1835-1895). It was published in London by Elkin Mathews (1851-1921) and John Lane (1854-1925) at the Sign of the Bodley Head and in New York by Macmillan and Company in 1893. The book features five engravings by British artist, illustrator, and printer Charles Ricketts (1866-1931) and the bookplate of John Leicester Warren designed by Scottish artist William Bell Scott (1811-1890). Warren had an interest in bookplates and became an authority on them.

The binding was designed by Charles Ricketts, possibly with help from someone with the initials H.L.S. (or those initials in another order). Ricketts's initials and those of the mysterious H.L.S. are stamped in gold in opposite corners of the covers—C.R. in the top left and H.L.S. in the bottom right. The cover features in the upper righthand corner an angel inside of a golden heart holding a lyre made from wings and a heart. Surrounding this is a pattern of repeated rose petals, which to us look a bit like teeth or hot air balloons. The book cloth is a leafy green color that on our copy has either been glued unevenly or has become rumpled with time.

ok. do u know what songs thursday are playing when they open for mcr. ive been listening to their music but i would like to be able to sing along to their songs

YES SHOW THEM SOME LOVE geoff's had a couple major injuries/illnesses recently which means he can't jump around on stage quite as much as he's famous for but they're gerard's favourite live band ever for a reason, they're just amazing. so basically you should listen to every single one of their songs. but also me and @geoffrard just threw together this playlist of the songs they're most likely to play, though i assume their set will be slightly shorter than this one.

you can be absolutely sure they'll play understanding in a car crash, war all the time, and jet black new year (seeing as they're playing it on their current tour and that's the song gerard featured on back in the day).

if you like what you hear, carp and i also made this intro to thursday playlist that we feel encapsulates their various sounds pretty well while still being a reasonable length
