One of the biggest flaws I think with how reading is presented to kids and teens is it's always about a book and never about it being a story. A book is just another piece of media with advantages and disadvantages, it's not this big scary thing like it never seems to be considered what a kid might like in shows or games it's always just about finding a book and I really think it's a problem tbh
