Also please please please more stained glass-style dimya art
i'm so glad you asked!!
i haven't like explicitly talked about it on here , but this past year for my final year of undergrad, i tackled an animated short film for my thesis illustration project. my friend was a coms major and was interested in sound design, so for her project she did that while i did......... all the rest alshdjfk (storyboards, character and prop design, animation). i did hire some other illustration majors to help by painting some backgrounds for me and they were gorgeous. and we got a comp prof to prepare a score for us, which is cool! but it turns out 9 months and One stressed girlie teaching herself how to animate 5 minutes worth of drawings was a bit ambitious, which is fine, so it's still more at the animatic stage i guess. getting to present it in both a gallery and a movie theater setting was one of the coolest moments of my life so far.
but anyway aslhjkdf it's about a baby bear who is new to the neighborhood, but struggles to make friends at the playground bc he's bigger and scarier than the other baby animals :( here's the video if you'd like to watch :)
if you don't feel like watching the full thing, here is one of my favorite shots
and here's the final poster
i've gotten the copywright application (so don't steal it 😤) and i'm hoping to one day get it even more finished, but we needed a big rest after all of.. that.
as for the stained glass/art nouveau look, thank you! i'm glad you liked that piece, it turned out pretty well. if you have any ideas for what else i should do in that style (specific moments, etc) i'm always down for suggestions 👀
