Scissors Crown Claus progress: 📍 A showcase of the prototype pin shapes, along with the probable final design! I ended up deciding on Thibra for these, because of the finer detail possible. The black Worbla version was very rough and hard to distinguish any tiny details on. I simplified the design too, because I have to make several and the Thibra is so delicate to work with! 😥 ✂ The goal is to make several of these as master versions, then make a mold from them and cast them out of resin. working with my mom, @kabocha1013, again on cosplay tests! This time, trying out Thibra! ✂ She made the base shape out of craft foam again, and we tried covering it with Thibra in order to compare it to the black Worbla we used previously. It's much smoother than the Worbla, but also much more finicky to use. Scissors Crown Claus progress: 📍 Wow! The master versions of the pins are done! The background ones go mainly one the hat, the sleeves, and along the skirt front. The diamond shaped one goes on his vest, and the spiky one goes on his coat! All are made from varying thicknesses of craft foam covered with Thibra. (painstakingly!) Scissors Crown Claus progress: 🔱 I made a prototype of the pin things that go all along his coat and skirt piece. Every drawing looks a bit different so there's leeway in the final design. We're hoping to make the base sort of as shown, with red beads on the end. ✂ I made this one from a base of craft foam topped with Thibra. Like last time I worked with Thibra, it was difficult to manipulate without getting fingerprints and tool marks all over. Its advantage is the smoother finish though, which would be nice since we plan on trying to cast all of these out of resin ultimately.
