J: Write or describe an alternative ending to Torn. 😈😈😈😈
Tumblr media
Ok ok...soooo I’m just going to post this and get it over with (finally). I’m not tagging anyone because...reasons 😬
I’ve had this alternate ending for Torn written since before I ended that series, which has to be close to a year or more now, in my notes, unable to delete it.
An ending that @bobasheebaby @cocomaxley and @leelee10898 knew about and had/have tried to persuade me to post and I just couldn’t do it, lol. I blame Thomas Rhett entirely 😒
Warnings: 🍋, ns*w

The Alternate Ending
Allie stood there stunned as she watched Drake walk up the stairs to his room to go to bed. He just told her to have a fling, that he thought she should have one to get it out of her system. She had said it as a joke, or maybe, subconsciously, she said it for a reason. She slowly turned, her heart racing as her gaze met Liam who was sitting alone at the bar. The feelings she had been having lately all boiling to the surface as she stared at him. She closed her eyes for a moment. Maybe this was the closure she needed, or maybe this was going to open Pandora’s box.
She swallowed hard as she walked up to him. “Not ready to turn in?”
Liam turned to see Allie, his heart twinging at the sight of her gorgeous face. “Not quite. So, Allie...your wedding...draws near,” he downed the rest of his scotch after the words left his mouth, lightly hissing at the burn in his throat before pouring himself another.
She looked down at her hands for a moment. “I really appreciate how supportive you’ve been...”
“Of course...I want nothing but the best for you, Allie.” he gave her a sad smile.
“Even though...I mean...even after everything that happened between us?”
“What kind of man would I be if I held you back from your true heart's desire?” He looked at her with such sadness in his eyes, she felt like her heart was crumbling. But he didn’t know that she thought she could be staring at what he didn’t want to hold her back from.
“No matter how you feel...ever the king, thinking of everyone but himself.”
“Perhaps it’s easier not to think of myself in times like these.” He looked straight ahead, finding it hard to look at her without thoughts floating through his mind.
“Oh?” Her heart was racing, unable to stop the next words from coming. “And...what might happen if you admitted to what you really want right now?”
He turned his head and gave her a quizzical look, his eyes quickly sweeping over her body before he turned back and took a sip of his drink. “Don’t tempt me, Allie.”
“Temptation is exactly what I wanted to talk to you about...”
He slowly turned to her. “Oh?” His brow arched.
“I want you. Tonight.”
His eyes widened a bit. “But Drake....”
“I’ve talked to Drake. The rest...the rest of my life will be about Drake...but tonight is about you...and me.” She looked at him, her eyes locked on his baby blues. But he saw that there was more than just want and desire in her eyes. There was something else.
“Then what are we waiting around down here for?” He threw back the rest of his scotch without another moment of hesitation, standing from the bar stool. He took Allie’s hand and led her up the stairs to her room.
It’s twelve o’clock and I need your attention
It's like the alcohol making my head spin
Your scent is the rum, the room is a bottle
Keeping me hopeless 'til I wake tomorrow
And if tonight ever makes a difference
The way that I feel,
The way that I'll remember it
I'll take this down until the glass remains
Swallow the words that I was meant to say
It's a long drive back to Vegas skies
So why don't I make one more wrong turn tonight
So say goodnight
Our first goodbye
I've only got forever and forever is fine
Just take your time
We'll stop the clock together and know that the timing was right
They stepped into Allie’s room and Liam immediately snaked his arms around her pulling her in for a passionate, heated kiss. Just the feeling of his lips pressed to hers again after no long had her heart racing. “Before we go further, I have to ask...Allie...what is this to you?” He stared deep into her eyes, almost as if he was trying to pull her every thought from her mind. His heart was racing. He had thought about this moment for so long. Having her in his arms again, his lips on her skin. He just didn’t want to think about the fact that it would be to say a final goodbye.
“Liam...I couldn’t resist you for one more minute.” The glances, and brushes of the hands during his lessons to her during the Unity Tour. The kiss they almost shared in the city that night at Applewood. She wasn’t lying. She couldn’t resist him any longer. She just didn’t tell him the whole truth.
He crashed his lips into hers again, lifting her and walking to a nearby armchair, sitting down and pulling her onto his lap to straddle him. His hands roamed down her body, pressing into the small of her back as she rolled her hips eliciting a low moan from him. He slid his hand gently through her brown hair as she stared at him and she slowly leaned in, pressing her lips into his is a slow kiss, her tongue sliding across his bottom lip. Liam could of swore she was trying to tell him something by that kiss. There was more than just a heat of the moment feeling behind it. More than just no longer resisting temptation. But he knew that he had to be imagining things.
“These clothes are in the way...” he spoke in a smoky whisper.
She pushed herself off of him taking a few steps back, her gaze never breaking from his as she reached back unzipping her dress. She slowly pulled the straps off her shoulders and let it pool at her feet, eliciting a low growl from Liam who gnawed his bottom lip at the fact that she wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
“How’s that?” She asked him, arching her brow. Liam didn’t answer. His eyes slowly scanned over every inch of her body, drinking all of her in, as if he were taking a mental photograph wanting to remember her every curve, making sure every last detail was ingrained in his memory. “I believe it’s your turn.”
Liam stood from the chair as Allie stepped towards him unbuttoning his shirt and he shrugged it off a moment later. She ran her fingers lightly over his bare chest, placing feather light kissed in different spots as she worked on his pants and boxers, him kicking them off as they hit the floor. He tilted her face to meet his capturing her lips again in a searing kiss as he walked her back to the bed. He climbed on top of her as he searched her eyes again, his hand brushing across her cheek. He was making her heart pound with the way he was looking at her. He slowly leaned down kissing her so deep it made her entire body flutter. He brought his lips down her neck and to her chest, taking her nipple in his mouth and sucking on the pink flesh as she gasped. He trailed his hand down between her legs, sliding his fingers through her slick folds then back up to her clit as he moved his fingers in torturously slow circles, watching her as she bit her lip through a moan. How he could make her feel like this with just a touch was beyond her. He brought his lips down over her stomach to her hips before settling between her legs. He slid his tongue between her folds, swirling it on his way up until his lips wrapped around her clit, gently sucking as his tongue rolled, causing a jolt of pleasure to course through her body.
“Mmmm, Liam,” she moaned, completely lost in the pleasure he was giving her. He slid two fingers inside and began pumping them as his tongue continued to work against her. “Liam...I’m going to...” she moaned out, his fingers curling to hit that spot as his tongue continued to work her.
She arched her back yelling his name as electricity pulsated through her body. No one could ever make her body react the way he could, could make her feel the way he could. Her legs were trembling when he made his back up her stomach slowly moving back up her neck, his lips finding hers again, their tongues rolling against one another’s. She ran her fingers through his hair as they parted and he stared into her eyes again. He kept looking at her as if he were waiting for her to spill her deepest secrets, her every thought that she had about him, about this moment. He lined himself up to her, still keeping his gaze locked on her eyes as he teased her entrance. Her body, her mind, her heart, they were all aching for him in that very moment.
“What do you want, Allie?” He spoke in a slow, silky whisper.
Her heart racing as her eyes stared deep into his. “I want you...I want you, and I want you to go slow. I want to remember tonight. I want to remember every last detail of tonight,” she spoke in a pained whisper. Her heart yearning to say those words to him, yearning to hear him say them to her.
He kept his eyes on her as he slowly slid himself inside of her and she moaned as she felt every inch of his thick, long cock fill her. He started at a slow pace, rocking his hips into her as she moved, matching his perfect rhythm. “Fuck, you feel so good, Allie,” he closed his eyes as he got lost in the sensation of her. The sensation he had missed, he had dreamed of feeling again. No one could ever make him feel the way she did. He started to pick up the pace, his thrusts going deeper as they hit that spot.
“God, Liam!” She moaned as she raked her nails slowly up his sides. He picked up the pace, thrusting harder.
He snaked his arm underneath her lower back, pulling her up and on top of him as he sat on the bed, her legs wrapped and locked around him. She crashed her lips onto his as she rocked her hips into him. Drawing back, she stared into his eyes as she rolled her body into his, his hands gripping her hips to guide her movements. She always told him she thought this was the most intimate position, and of course he remembers it after all this time and he pulls her into it tonight.
She began moving faster and harder against him, their bodies now glistening with a thin sheen of sweat and their breathing hard and uneven. “Fuck Allie...” he pulled her into him faster as he began thrusting his hips.
Her nails dug into his shoulders as she arched her body into him. “Liam...” she yelled out as pleasure washed over her and everything faded to black as she fell apart again. He kept pulling her hips into him and thrusting faster and harder until finding his own release, spilling ropes of his milky white seed inside of her. They stayed like that catching their breath, their foreheads resting against one another’s, Allies hand running through his hair at the base of his neck. He pressed his lips to hers again in the most passionate kiss he had ever given her. She said she wanted to remember every detail, so he was going to make sure every detail was worth remembering.
They laid in the bed for a while, complete silence between them with her head on his chest as his fingertips ran up and down lightly over her back. As she laid there, she felt the sting starting in her eyes. She quickly tried to blink back the tears. “I...should probably head out,” he spoke in a sad whisper. He slid out of the bed and got dressed as Allie laid there, wanting so badly to ask him to stay. She was finding it hard to look at him, not out of shame or guilt though, it was something else. He came back over to and her kissed her one last time. “Goodnight, Allie.”
“Goodnight, Liam.” He walked out, and the minute the door shut the tears fell. It was her Pandora’s Box.
Liam stepped out into the hallway and leaned against the wall as his eyes filled with tears. He didn’t want to leave, but he knew he had to. This was a one-last-time thing, and he knew that. He knew she didn’t feel the same way for him that he did for her. He still loved her with every ounce of his being. But she didn’t feel that way, she loved someone else, belonged to someone else. He stood upright and walked to his room.
All of these guards they stand tall and defensive
Putting up walls around what once was innocent
They won't let me in, but I'm stronger than that
Cause you stole my eyes and I've never looked back
Girl, last night I forgot to mention
The way that I feel, the way that I'll remember this
When we're this young
We have nothing to lose
Just a clock to beat and a hand to choose
It's a long drive back to Vegas Skies
So why don't I make one more wrong turn tonight
So say goodnight
Our first goodbye
I've only got forever and forever is fine
Just take your time
We'll stop the clock together and know that the timing was right
It's a long way down
Just fall into place and you'll fall into me
We'll make it out
You'll see
So say goodnight
Our first goodbye
I've only got forever and forever is fine
Just take your time
We'll stop the clock together and know that the timing was right
***********
Allie stood in a daze at the flower shop with Drake and Olivia, not paying any attention to what was happening. Her mind was nothing but a cloud of what if’s and what to do’s. It had been two days since her fling with Liam in Vegas and she had never felt more confused about anything than she did in that moment.
She loved Drake, but she kept asking herself if it was really over between her and Liam, why did she ask for a fling? When she first brought it up to Drake at the end of the night in Vegas, it had come off as a joke. She never really thought that he’d be willing to actually let her have one. To tell her he thought she should have one to get it out of her system. She was stunned. She hadn’t planned on that at all. But then when he said that, it was as if it took over her mind. She knew right where she wanted the rest of that night to go. And now, after that one last night with Liam, all she could think about was him. How she had been so angry when she first came back for the engagement tour, not willing to listen to him, to hear him out. She avoided him, and found herself falling for Drake in the process. But if she hadn’t avoided him, if she had listened, if she just gave him that chance that he asked for, would it all be different right now?
She and Liam both acted odd around one another since that night as well, and she hated it. She knew why she was acting the way she was. Because she was confused and she didn’t know if she was making the right choice now because her feelings for Liam had completely resurfaced. But he was acting odd, and avoiding her. She would catch him glancing at her, but if she looked in his direction he would quickly look away. Does he regret it, she wondered. Does he feel guilty because of Drake?
“Hello! Earth to Allie!” Olivia was waving her hand in Allie’s face as she snapped out of her daze.
“What? Oh...sorry,” she gave her and Drake a sheepish grin.
Drake gave her a curious look. “You alright, Marino?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” she nodded.
“Well, do you like the calla lilies?”
“Yeah, those are fine.” She played with her lower lip, rolling it between her fingers, as she stared off again.
Drake had noticed the last two days how she had seemed distant. Zoning out, getting lost in thought. Any time he asked about it, she chalked it off as pre wedding jitters, but he wasn’t buying it. He knew something else was going on, but he didn’t know what or how to get her to open up about it. But he was hoping that it wasn’t the one thought he had floating in the back of his mind. They headed back to the palace to get ready for the rehearsal dinner they were having that night with just their group of friends.
***
Liam sat in his study at the palace, staring out the window from his desk. Flashes of that last night with Allie coursing through his mind like a rapid river—his lips on her skin, her hands on his body, their bodies colliding into each other, the sensation of feeling her one last time. He had just got to a point where she hadn’t been consuming his every thought, only partially. And then that night it all went back to the way it was before.
When she walked up to him at the bar in Vegas telling him that she wanted him that night, that she wanted to be with him one last time...he closed his eyes at the memory. And now, she was getting married tomorrow. To his best friend. He didn’t know how he was going to stand up there next to Drake and watch her walk down the aisle to him. Having to see Drake stand in the spot that he should be standing in. But he had to do it. She just wanted him one last night, but she wanted Drake for the rest of her life. He gulped down the rest of the scotch in his glass before heading to get ready for dinner, swiping away the single tear that had fallen.
***
Allie stood in front of the mirror staring at her reflection in her purple dress, silently calling herself every name in the book. Maybe I should have just left after the coronation ball. I wouldn’t be in this situation, and I wouldn’t be putting two people I loved in it either. But her love for one was stronger than the other. But it was too late. She slipped on her heels making her way down to meet their friends for dinner.
She rounded the corner of the hall and saw Drake. “Marino,” he smiled, “you look great,” he pulled her into a kiss.
“Thank you,” she smiled, but it was only a half truth smile and he knew it.
“Marino...what’s going on? You’ve seemed so distant the past couple of days.”
“Nothing, I’m fine.” She was fighting back the tears that were stinging her eyes. Looking at him didn’t make this any easier, knowing how much he loved her. She looked away, putting on a fake smile. Drake took a deep breath and they walked into the dining hall together where they were greeted by their friends.
When Drake and Allie walked in, Liam’s eyes immediately locked on her. He’d been doing this since they got back from Vegas. She would catch him staring and he would quickly look away. The thoughts he had when he looked at her, knowing she was marrying his best friend, he felt guilty. So he’d turn his gaze away if she saw him. But tonight, he couldn’t. Her eyes scanned the room until they found his and they stopped when they finally found him. He wanted to look away, but he couldn’t do it. And the way she was staring at him, as if her whole body was screaming, trying to tell him something.
He finally was able to break his gaze when Maxwell pulled his attention away from her. But soon after he found his eyes right back on her again. He hadn’t seen much of her since they returned from Vegas, but there was something on her mind. She was different. She was quiet all during dinner, not really talking unless spoken to, staring off as if she were lost. He noticed Drake kept looking at her, as if he was trying to figure out what was on her mind.
Eventually she rose from her chair after dinner, whispered something to Drake and walked out of the room. Liam watched as Olivia leaned over to Drake and asked him where she was going, Drake replying that she was going to get some air on the balcony and he shrugged his shoulders. But Liam could tell he was concerned about how she was acting. He watched Drake turn his head back and look at the doors she had just walked out of. While everyone began to mingle amongst one another, Liam snuck out to the balcony.
Allie stood looking over the gardens leaning on the railing. She felt her whole body trembling as the tears fell. She was trying her best to hold it together at dinner, but she kept seeing Liam looking at her, and then Drake looking at her, and it was too much. She had to step out before her emotions got the better of her and spilled over. How could you have put yourself in this situation? How could you do this to both of them, but especially Drake? She shook her head, feeling nothing but guilt and shame. Then she heard his voice.
“Allie?”
She didn’t turn to face him, not wanting him to see her like this. “Hey, Liam,” she tried to quietly sniffle.
“Are..are you alright?”
“I...” she paused for a moment trying to gather herself. “I’m fine. Just needed some fresh air. I should get back in there.” She turned and headed toward the door, but Liam gently grasped her arm and she stopped, still not turning to face him.
“Allie...I know something is bothering you...”
“I can’t...I can’t talk about it, Liam.” He heard her voice break. I’ve already done enough damage. “Excuse me,” she quietly whispered as she maneuvered herself from his soft grip.
Allie headed back inside, everyone leaving a short time after, saying their goodbyes until morning...the wedding. As everyone dispersed, Allie stood at the bottom of the stairs with Drake, saying goodnight to him before they went their separate ways. Drake stared at her thoughtfully for a moment. “Marino...” he let out a soft breath, “talk to me...please. What’s going on?”
“Nothing...just-“
“Jitters...” He had heard it so much over the past couple of days, he already knew what she was going to say, not that he believed it. He stepped forward, his rough hands gently taking her face as they stared at one another. “You know you can tell me anything...”
She responded by leaning up, pressing her lips to his, a part of her hoping she would feel a semblance of that spark she felt with him. There was something there, there was chemistry, love and respect...but not that same spark. “I love you,” she whispered against his lips. It was the truth. She did love Drake, but not the way he deserved to be loved. He deserved so much more than her, so much better. But maybe she could morph herself into that person for him. She wanted to be able to be that person for him, because he didn’t deserve any of this.
Allie headed back to her room and once inside she laid in her bed and just cried. How could she break his heart. He had been nothing but good to her. He had been there for her when no one else was. From the very beginning, he had always been there. But with all these resurfaced feelings for Liam how could she go through with it? How could she do that to Drake? Why did these feelings have to come back only a few days before the wedding? Why did that have to come up now, giving her no time to process them? Why did she ever ask for that fling?
***
Drake sat with Liam and Maxwell that night, noticing that Liam was zoned out...just as Allie had been. He knew that tomorrow was going to be a little rough for Liam, considering he loved her once too. But over the past couple of days, seeing how Allie was acting and how Liam was acting, he couldn’t help but feel that it wasn’t a past tense feeling anymore...for either of them. It wasn’t hard for him to put two and two together. The way Allie had been acting, and now seeing Liam, Drake was pretty sure he knew in that moment who Allie had the fling with that night in Vegas. He swallowed hard, knowing he needed to have a conversation with Allie. And it wouldn’t be an easy one.
**********
Allie woke the next morning, not sure how she was feeling. She needed to get her hair done first thing because they were doing pictures before the ceremony, since the wedding was at night. Olivia had come in bustling about trying to make sure everything was ready. Finally, once Allie’s hair and makeup was finished, it was time for her to get dressed.
***
Drake paced in his room, trying to muster up the courage to go talk with Allie. He knew he needed to, but he was afraid of what she was going to say in response to him. But if she wasn’t going to be completely happy with him, if somewhere in the back of her mind she was going to hold questions about her feelings for Liam, if she was going to someday down the line question whether or not she did the right thing, if she was going to regret it...it wasn’t fair for him not to bring it up to her, for the sake of both of their happiness. He wouldn’t be happy in a marriage where she still had feelings for someone else, and neither would she. He poured himself a glass of whiskey to try and calm him stirring mind before getting dressed.
***
Liam was in his suit ready for the pictures, but his mind was racing. He felt as if he was suffocating the closer the wedding loomed. Thinking about her in her white dress, her hair done, making her way down the aisle to his best friend. Hearing her say the vows that should have been meant for him if he didn’t make such a huge mistake all that time ago. He wished he could rewind time to the night of the coronation ball. Four words could have changed his whole life.
I choose...Lady Alessandra.
That’s all it would have taken, and this would be him getting married to her today. He felt as if the walls were closing in on him and he needed to get out of the palace at that moment. He took off down the hall and out the doors.
***
Allie stood looking at her reflection in the mirror in her complete ensemble. Her white gown, her makeup and hair done. As she looked at her reflection her eyes welled up with tears. She began breathing heavily as Olivia stood there talking to her, but she couldn’t hear anything she was saying. “Liv...I...I...need to get some air...”
“You’re just nervous, it’s fine.”
Her head shook rapidly. “No...Liv...I...” she trailed off, the tears threatening to spill began rolling down her cheeks. There was a knock on the door pulling Olivia away from asking anymore questions as she went to open it. Allie heard it shut only a few moments later.
She continued looking at her reflection when she heard Drake’s voice. “You look beautiful, Marino.”
Her heart began to race as she slowly turned around, looking at Drake’s sad smile. “Thank you,” she half smiled. “Isn’t it bad luck to see the bride before the wedding?” She dabbed tears from her cheeks.
“I think we need to talk, Marino,” he let out a heavy sigh as he stared at her. “I...I think I know why you’ve been acting so distant the past few days. And I think you’ve been afraid to say anything to me.” She looked at him as her freshly cleaned cheeks became wet again as the tears started. “Marino,” he took her hands in his, “I can’t marry you, or ask you to marry me...if you still have feelings for Liam.”
At his words she closed her eyes covering her mouth with her hand. He knew. “Drake, I-I’m so sorry. I-I thought it was over but-“
“You don’t need to explain yourself to me,” he gave her a sad smile. “I love you, Allie. But it wouldn’t be fair to either or us for this wedding to happen tonight. And there’s no animosity...you will always be special to me. You will always be my friend. Don’t ever doubt that for a second.” She threw her arms around him in a hug as she cried and he let his own tears fall.
After a long moment they stepped apart and she looked at him, reaching up to wipe the tears from his face. “Drake, you...you are so incredible. And you are going to make someone so happy. And I’m so sorry that I couldn’t be that person for you. You deserve so much better than me,” she bowed her head as more tears fell.
He tilted her face up to meet his. “Don’t say that, Marino. You can’t help how you feel...” he stared at her for a moment before he gently placed his lips to hers in a lingering kiss. He rested his forehead against hers. “I should go...” he brushed his hand across her cheek and smiled at her before he turned and walked out.
The minute the door shut the quiet sobs escaped her. She didn’t know how she was lucky enough to meet two of the most selfless men she’d ever known. She needed air...she had to get out of there. She headed out of her room and ran down the steps and outside, not sure where she was even running too until she found herself in one of the pathways of the garden maze. Of course her subconscious would lead her here of all places.
More tears fell as she continued to run through the paths, her white dress floating behind her, unsure of what to do now. She made her way to the center of the maze and she heard the sound of a faint voice talking. When she neared closer and peeked around the corner of the hedges she saw Liam standing there with his back to her, looking up at the sky. She heard him take a deep breath as she crept closer.
“Ok, Liam...you can do this. You just...have to watch the woman you love marry your best friend.” He dropped his head down. He stood like that for a few long moments when she heard him whisper, “I will always love you, Allie...” She covered her mouth with her hand as her tears fell harder.
Liam took another deep breath and turned, his tear filled eyes widening when he saw her. There she stood before him in her wedding dress, looking more stunning and breathtaking than he’d ever seen her before. “Allie?” His voice cracked. “What...what are you doing here?” He saw the tears streaming down her cheeks and quickly wiped his face of his own.
“I...I can’t...do it Liam,” she began to cry harder. Liam stood there trying to understand what she was saying. She can’t do what.
He stepped to her and pulled her into a hug to comfort her. “You can’t do what, Allie? What’s the matter?”
“I...I can’t marry Drake.” He slowly pulled out of the hug as they both stared at one another in silence for a moment. “I thought...I thought I could, but I can’t.
“Allie...” Liam shook his head looking at her. “What...what are you-“
“It’s you, Liam.....it’s always been you. I love you.” His tears filled to the brim as he took in her words. She loved him.

OMG! Is he that rude and inconsiderate or does he feel he is above his chosen Gf? I just saw the pictures of D and M at Soho house. He is literally a step or more ahead of her and even goes in the door ahead of her! Ok so he didn't open the car door for her some guys don't do that anymore, but to look like you don't want to be seen with her....? Why take her out to lunch? So he wont have to eat alone? I have never seen pics of D where he isn't at least trying to look charming except with her.
!!! THIS IS WHAT I’M SHAYING !!! AND I SWEAR
“Why take her out to lunch? So he wont have to eat alone?”
YES!!! AND I think the gym bullshit is…. the same bullshit!!! the “being in the same house” iS THE SAME THING!!!!!! LMAO its all just SO HE DOESN’T HAVE TO BE ALONE!!!!!!! AND HE IS SO AFRAID OF BEING ALONE he’ll literally do THIS like LMAO ok then DAVE!!! do that then. yIKES
idk, its really alien to me honestly because I have no problem being alone so i cannot fathom behaving like that or even like… spending time with anyone I won’t acknowledge or don’t like or don’t trust (so…. could david you know at least try or pretend for this person or does he think that by picking up the tab he’s enabled to do whatever he wants because….. :l ) but ok obviously David is different soo yep but I think you’ve got it with the “cannot be alone” thing and especially since David is so damn self conscious he always needs a woman by his side (his father’s words) to make him look masculine or “taken” or w/e bullshit
Like y’alls he’s probably so glad (like, we can see that he’s miserable but doing this he’s less miserable than if he were alone and couldn’t go out to eat because he’s too scared to eat out alone… lmao. Like, David, you are old enough and nobody cares but ok!!! lmao).. so, he is so “glad” he can do this instead of cooking which I guess involves too much manual labor for him idk too many arm movements too much planning and too much knowledge and research of food oh me oh my
and like ya’lls he’s probably so glad that someone is so gullible and devoted to him…….. that they won’t even question his completely nonsensical “I can do everything better than everyone and pay me money to come watch me. BUT I cannot cook how strange!!!!” BULLSHIT that is basically, again, societal brainwashing that shapes the woman to become some form of caretaker or replacement mother I mean its just ridiculous
at least….. when u treat this person to lunch and don’t make them cook for you (theoretically, i don’t really know or care I’m just reiterating that David said he cannot cook and I was surprised bc of how overachieving he is how into nutrition he is and yanno how fcking old he is)………. like… at least pretend to enjoy it?????????? but first you’d have to acknowledge them.
but maybe like ok this is just my THEORY but what if part of it is that obviously he is so cheap or from his childhood seems to have this notion of poverty ingrained in his mind that he’s like “i’m paying for it and fk it I keep forgetting this person has no job like fk i feel a bit blue thinking about my dire situation so i’ll just eat my pain away and someone has no choice but to put up with it because they are completely reliant on me” like………… FUCK THIS (but its still just a theory lmao !!! nvm)
SO DATS WAT I MEAN AND YEP U GOT IT ANON
LIKE…….. I WAS ACTUALLY SCARED TO LOOK AT THESE PICS when I first heard about them BUT THEN when I did it was like wait ?????? uhh??? my first thought: disrespectful. ESPECIALLY the walking ahead and not even acknowledging this person in the restaurant wtf??? Literally: dad-like body language after you just disappointed your father and had an argument with him.
BUT, and as you pointed out, this kind of interaction seems to be the norm between them so ???? i mean… and even though I support that people should not tolerate disrespect… I STILL PLACE ALL THE BLAME ON DAVID because he is the ADULT!!!!!!!!!!!
For me, #1: the walking ahead without even looking behind him or anything is just……………………………………………………………………………………………… nope.
Red flags all around. And one red flag should be enough for anyone to end a relationship, there isn’t any room for doubt or detective work or forced forgiveness etc. in a legitimate relationship.
But yanno…. David is clearly maintaining this controlling “situation” for a (completely self serving) reason. …… just…….. look for the parallel in everything else he’s ever done (literally: his acting, his directing projects, his “music”, his books - its the same song and dance over and over and over and over…….).
thx anon
