I love reading all the theories because it’s nice to see the many interpretations the fandom comes up with after an episode. Now, I have my foot in the whole “it seems like a dream/he’s hallucinating after overdosing” camp, but I also do think the whole trip happened. There are scenes that feel real and grounded to me, but others feel jerky and otherworldly.
We know that JaeWon can get stuck in his head, or at least dissociate, since he often has a faraway look in his eyes. He also is on medication, that he asked for more of which scares me, and drinks a shit ton. All this leads me to believe that while what we’re seeing is grounded in reality, there may be some parts that are a bit wishy washy. For example, JiHyun mentioning that there was nothing prepared for a trip to the beach and JaeWon saying they’ll just buy shit when they get there, and then suddenly there’s chairs and some shoes for JiHyun. Now, you could argue that they did buy all that stuff there, but it’s more likely that JaeWon probably did have stuff just sitting there and only remembered in the moment, which means his memory isn’t that great/his head isn’t all in the moment.
I do want to believe that this wonderful trip happened because I don’t want their intimate moments, like the hotel and beach scenes, to have all been in JaeWon’s head. Ah, I don’t know. I could be wrong but these are my initial thoughts and not concrete. After I read more discussions and sit on the episode then I’ll probably come to a more solid conclusion.

I don’t care what you fuckers say. Good Omens 2 was the best thing I’ve seen in years and there needs to be a season 3.
#spoilers: good omens 2#good omens spoilers#first off i know fuckers always say queerbaiting but there was zero queerbaiting#everything was set up and paid off beautifully#like if you're mad about the final conflict then you weren't paying attention during the whole job subplot#like what did you think that was there for but to show that aziraphale still had growing to do#that he had the capacity for growth but he wasn't THERE yet like crowley was#one's asleep and one's awake just like that last shot of nina and maggie#glorious parallel by the way#also the plot twist with gabriel and beelzebub was beautifully set up too#ANOTHER parallel by the way#like wow an angel and a demon falling in love#wonder what that represents#but i spent the whole damn show like 'WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THE FLIES. IS BEELZEBUB SPYING ON THEM?'#but no. much more betterer. that is a love fly.#and then like at the end#when aziraphale cut crowley off and spoke first i was like#'okay so they're not going to say it explicitly#but there's no fucking way to take nina and maggie's intervention besides crowley being in love#so I accept it as confirmed if questionably canon a la the kiss we both did and didn't see in yuri on ice'#'plausible deniability right'#but then NO#no crowley steered the conversation right back around and MADE IT HAPPEN#SUBVERT THAT TROPE#have him get cut off by absolutely heartbreaking news and SAY IT ANYWAY#EMOTIONAL MATURITY THY NAME IS CROWLEY#Aziraphale just needs to wake up#but yeah i was happy stimming the whole damn show#i kept needing to pause and step away because i was overwhelmed with how much i was enjoying myself#which was an experience i didn't have with the first season

decided to actually watch the last airbender and y'all...i can't lie. this is a gorgeous show
#the bending is beautifully animated#and i'm just. adoring the shot of aang looking down at the air temple#the distant landscape--#still far too early for me to say whether it's a good show or not#(i've already seen some less than stellar reviews about how kyoshi is portrayed and i'm already v attached to her sooo)#it's a more mature telling -- but so far no worse than what happened to the earth queen in korra#(and also the whole they apparently got rid of sokka's sexism bc i guess what's character growth)#but i wanted to form my own opinion instead of just seeing what other people are saying#plus i'm on a bit of an avatar kick thanks to the kyoshi novels and so this is my life now rip in rest to all my writing projects#kellyn watches

not gonna get over the bastard son & the devil himself cancellation any time soon i fear
#probably never actually#they made a high budget well acted well written beautifully paced and shot adaption of a book series#i absolutely devoured as a kid#and fleshed out the character relationships in ways i adored and just. this show had in the gd NINETIES on rotten tomatoes. for both critics#and audience scores. it's GOOD. twisty and sweary and snarky and gory and utterly charming all at once#and it got like 47 million views and was in the top ten for like at least 2 weeks!! iirc!#and it gets cancelled after a month and change#i know that's how netflix works i know that's how the industry works but it's just SO frustrating. that if a show isn't fucking. bridgerton#or you or stranger things or the crown. if it isn't breaking world records left or right and getting fallon interview slots#and magazine covers#then it's basically guaranteed to get taken out back and shot#fucking shadowhunters got more seasons than that and ik that's because massive branding and look. i watched taht show#and i like the mortal instruments. but it was hot garbage do not lie. im just so. this show was so fucking GOOD#it deserved more#SIGH okay okay im gonna chill#the bastard son & the devil himself#tag talk#iona.txt

#the mandalorian season 3 doesnt look appealing at all#it has already felt so lacklustre from somewhere mid s2 with all these cameos and trying to tie it to the main plot#its just. trying too hard. giving too many big shots who already had their time to shine even more time#i can already see them sidelining din in his own show yet again#and the interactions?? are just?? if it were not a show i was so interested in it would be as forgettable as an action movie trailer#the one you see in the cinemas and immediately forget#like bro. youre fuckin DISNEY you have the money for a good show#there is a reason why season 1 was the best one and worked beautifully#because it was BASED on star wars and not trying to BE star wars#its a star wars story not a main plot#thats the whole charm about the show#now its gone!! poof!! away!! off it fucks!!#i was already immensely disappointed with how they handled book of boba fett and the din storyline within#and lemme tell you it does not spark joy. none of this sparks joy. it had so much potential and its all????? going down the drain?????????#anyways i hate it here#siya speaks#the mandalorian
