Why does everyone seem to dislike Archie?

Lotte: “Me and Lutz were labelled as traitors, so while our country is in The New Roma, we live with Archie and some of his allies on a sanctuary Island. Viktor lived here too until recently. He may seem unsuspecting, but he’s pretty smart and uses propaganda to his advantage - his main goal is to turn everyone against the UK, specifically Archie, by using his sister’s death as a tool.

France is technically neutral, but under New Roma control as they’ve cut off all their supply lines and communications to others. Similarly, the USA has only agreed to allyship should war break out since they have their own issues to deal with, and still hold a grudge from the revolution.

Because we’re not at war yet, everyone is tiptoeing around Italy and the UK. Should The New Roma decide to invade Belgium, Archie’s marriage to Bella - and therefore treaty - would kick start the war. Viktor joining and actively pushing against Archie is making tensions worse, and might even be the tipping point sooner rather than later.

That’s the basic run down. But I don’t hate Archie, neither does Lutz, nor lots of his allies, but his personality is prickly at best. He’s under a lot of stress right now.”
