I love all the drawings where Sun and Moon are in casual clothes. There’s just something so soft, so lovely about them being able to choose what to wear post-Pizzaplex life.

Because I bet they had no choice in what they wore while acting as the Daycare attendants. They had those jester pants, those bells and ruffles, Moon’s nightcap - and that was it. They weren’t allowed anything else. That was their uniform, their “signature” look as an animatronic.

They could get away with some change by playing dress up with the kids, putting on capes and tutus and silly scarves and hats. Acting out different characters, trying to fill that lack of autonomy.

Only able to watch, to yearn as they saw people come and go in t-shirts, in shorts, in flowy dresses and long skirts. Drop sleeves and off the shoulder shirts, crop tops and jeans. Sweatpants. Slacks. To covet, but never have.

Could you imagine being told what to wear every day of your life? The suppression of your self expression, the adamant refusal to see you as a person going so far as to control your body and what you put on it?

It would just drive that knife deeper. You aren’t a person. You have no say in what happens to you. You are to do your job and follow the rules. That’s it.

And when that place burns to the ground, once they’re free. Gosh, a whole world just opens right up. Textiles! Patterns! Silhouettes and necklines!

Sure, there’s a bit of a catch in how tall they are, how oddly proportioned their limbs are as opposed to a humans. But that freedom of choice? It’s well worth the trouble.

Imagine laying out shirts and pants for them to chose from, letting them feel the fabric and try it on. See themselves in the mirror. Letting Sun twirl around in a dress, Moon disappear into a hooded shawl. Let them drape different colours across their bodies, play around with different cuts and styles.

Imagine Sun and Moon choosing comfort after years of performance, allowed to relax for once. Choosing comfort because it allows them to hug you, to cradle you close and keep you warm, keep you happy. A choice made out of both gratitude and affection. You brought them physical and personal freedom; that’s something that can never be topped. They give, instead, a safe place to come home to, and loving arms to fall into.

And of course, lots of fashion shows in the living room.

Saeranlover’s Mystic Messenger writing masterlist (19th July ver.)

So, I do have an AO3 masterlist, but I thought it would be a good idea to get all of my AO3 and tumblr writing in one post. Plus, the tag I use for my mysme writing is a bit of a mess, so I thought I’d neaten it out a bit in this post. Fic previews will not be included in the list!

[707 x MC Request] - MC is kidnapped by Saeyoung’s former agency...

[Exhaustion] - Jumin passes out through exhaustion at work, and it’s down to his wife, MC, to help him rest and recover.

[Valentine’s Day gifts] - Saeran gets MC some kittens.

[Blanket Burrito Request] - Seven and MC fall asleep watching the Lego Movie, and Saeran just wants to get in with the hugging.

[Critical Hit] - MC is doing her best to support Saeyoung and Saeran after the Mint Eye incident.

[A Hacker’s Investigation] - Zen saves MC from being kidnapped by the hacker, but when Seven tries to do some investigating...

[The Drawing] - All that Saeran wants to do is see the drawing she was working on...

[Bad Party Ending] - MC doesn’t feel that she fits in after 11 days in the RFA...

[No Use Crying over Spilled Ice Cream...? (Tumblr) (AO3)] - Saeran takes you out for ice cream.

[The Art of Saeran Choi] - Saeran doesn’t understand why you make art for a living, until he inspires one of your pieces.

[Together] - Saeran and MC have been together for years, after being brought to Mint Eye together... But were they living there on lies?

[Bitten By Twins (Tumblr) (AO3)] - MC lived with the Choi twins, her rent basically being her blood once a month. But when the twins get a different supply of blood... They end up biting her.

[Turning Them] - Saeran and MC are kidnapped by the vampires of Mint Eye to blackmail the RFA, and all because Saeran still isn’t a fully-fledged vampire, and MC is a human...

[Taken, and losing the will for freedom] - After a hectic night out, you just wanted to find a way home when a stranger asks you for directions. But when you get a message, asking for you to find somebody at the exact same address...

[Ignorance Isn’t Bliss] - After being ignored by Saeyoung over and over, MC has enough, and asks Saeran for support by taking her back to Rika’s apartment.

[Providing Support] - When Saeyoung ends up in a near-fatal car crash trying to recover MC’s stolen phone, Saeran has to become the shoulder for MC to lean on.

[Provoke Him] - You going with the hacker of your own accord broke Luciel. He was willing to do ANYTHING to bring you back to the RFA and society as a whole. Unknown, however, decides to use you to provoke him, and results in a drastic change in affiliations...

[Senses] - You had began to become close friends with V... But then he turned completely blind.

[Saeran x MC request] - Saeyoung walks in on the two of them having sex.

[A Snowy Angel] - Jumin x MC, based on after the Christmas DLC.

[Sleepless Night (Tumblr) (AO3)] - Saeran has trouble sleeping, and goes to MC because of it.

[Recovery] - You remembered a man who used to go to therapy, just as you do... Saeran was his name. But why did he stop going?

[Absence] - You were scared when heading home on your own, so your classmate, Yoosung, accompanies you.

[Somebody New] - Jumin’s half-sister attends the RFA party, and ends up falling for none other than the musical actor Zen.

[To Finish His Work...] - Vanderwood kidnaps MC to blackmail Seven into finishing his work.

[Companions] - Falling for your kidnapper-turned-friend whilst being his assistant may not be such a bad thing after all.

[Confessions] - V ends up escorting you back to Rika’s apartment after the party... And quite a lot happens that night.
