every other even starting at 4!
lmaooo ty i was like “uh oh, Evens but also Alternating Ones?? can i remember both things” and well the answer would’ve been Yes anyways, but then i was like oh right that’s like. multiples of 4.........it’s a dubious if i can put “took a lot of math classes and i’m decent at math, i think” in that Talents question later on lol
4: What’s your favorite part of the day?
it depends lol....i’ve got that night owl thing going on so like maybe 10p - 4am are my Peak Hours probably like, naturally......but not like i hate daylight......Evening in summer months is good like. shit isn’t plummeting into darkness in 2 min after 2 hrs of shitty lighting like in winter......
8: How does someone become important to you?
idk it’s Not Hard but also it is lmao like. we just keep regularly interacting and we vibe? Bro......We Are Friends
12: What can you spend forever talking about?
lmaooooo so many things. like, generally i can just spend Forever Talking b/c irl (and to an extent online lol) i am a chatterbox. very rarily In Practice though b/c i have to be around ppl i want to / am comfortable just talking freely with. but i’ll like, leap on whatever opportunity to talk about some shit i’m interested in / it having already been Brought Up.....amazing restraint from me sometimes when maybe an acquaintance makes a tweet and i Could come crashing in with comments but i refrain
16: What is something you really want?
stares at hands.....big question......but i never have like 5 Year Plan / or many super Concrete specific things, and there’s a lot going on right now so it’s like, as step one, i think i and all of us want to Not be in a pandemic
20: Have you ever had a dream that made you wonder if it was actually a memory?
not that i know of (i.e. didn’t forget lol) cuz the only time my dreams really Draw From Life very directly is like “here’s some Anxiety Scenario dreams” or the location is a school i went to and stuff like that
24: Have you ever met someone you never thought you’d become close to?
i mean there’s been people i’ve been like “i’m not interested in interacting with this person” and then Not had a close relationship with lol but if the implication for this is “and then you Did become close to them, despite your expectations” it’s like.......no not really lmao. ppl have to talk to me for like weeks or months before i realize like “oh right, they’re probably doing that b/c they like you / want to” so it can’t really sneak up on me lol
28: Do you ever make impulsive decisions?
if i’m in a group or w/e i’m never trying to make decisions but if it’s just me yeah i can make kinda impulsive decisions lol.....usually just in wild ways like “hmm i want to do [whatever] so here i go doing it”
32: If you could go back in time and re-live your life up to this point, knowing everything that you know now, would you make different decisions?
really i just wouldn’t mess with the timeline lol......maybe about some smaller details but even then. i could say like “oh i could learn a language” lol but that’s asking an elementary schooler to like, take that initiative or w/e
36: Favorite book quote(s)?
well i haven’t even read the book but i guess my catchphase Invoked Book Quote is the “anger is a type of geography” one, the full quote of which i Saved just so that i could conveniently invoke it in full whenever i mention it:
Anger is a type of geography. The ways out of it expand the more you love a person. The more forgiveness you might be willing to afford each other opens up new and unexpected roads. And so, for some, staying angry at someone you love is a reasonable option. To stay angry at someone you know will forgive your anger is a type of love, or at least it is a type of familiarity that can feel like love.
and ig it ties into this stance where it’s not like “Never Being In Conflict is the ideal for good relationships” and instead is like “even if you get along with people you like the vast majority of the time, probably conflict just happens in the course of Interacting With Other Humans and can be be viewed as an Opportunity where, in the course of navigating a conflict, a relationship can evolve / improve, and also if you think Zero Conflicts Ever is the definition / goal of the Best relationships you’re going to avoid even small conflicts with anyone and probably that lack of communication / requiring ppl to trade the discomfort of Conflict / Change for the discomfort of [if you are at all upset about something you have no recourse] where the latter is definitely worse long-term”.................also related to the last time i Dropped This Quote, for some reason the other day i was remembering the story lauren told about her and will’s tiff unfolding behind the scenes of a performance......rip to how yeah i’m sure it wasn’t fun but the Funny-After-The-Fact Story sure is charming re: like oh all these friends having and getting past fights and etc lmao and in conclusion i rly ought to rewatch the bwayjackbox bmc reunion lol..........also despite me talking about “so great when people Can Be Mad at each other” at length here i’m not raring to brawl with you guys or anything lmao.....
40: What makes you feel confident?
idk lol like there’s always “when you wear an outfit you like” but my outfits are like “shorts and a tee” so it’s not hard. although sometimes it’s like, well my comfortable shirts that are about like “I’m Gay” or sm shit, layers there. would i get a Boost from wearing the Lgw tee?? probably, b/c it’s like, yeah out here subtly caping for wroland really and his amazing solo number, etc......time will tell. still storing that away for Worthy Occasions that aren’t just like [me sweating into it] lmao. also when you’re around other lgbtq people in person even if they’re strangers it’s like hell yeah just overall Stats Boost
44: Do you consider yourself talented?
i mean ppl get Talented through spending a lot of time on Whatever and like, wanting to put that attention and effort into it.......like, i’ve done some cooking / baking just In My Life and so i’m hardly an expert but i’ve got like, some solid knowledge of what i’m doing i think lmao......practiced ballet for a little over a decade and i ended up decent at that........my Ability To Draw is solid for what i want out of it (which is just me: drawing gay niche shit for the self-indulgence of it) and that got a boost from like, i just had a tendency to mess around drawing shit all the time as a kid / took some art classes in like elementary school, did a lot of painting tho lol i’m not great at colors.....damn took art classes in college too i guess, i forget about that. but really drawing-wise the real Experience i got was like, realizing a decade ago like “hey i can just make and share self-indulgent niche gay fanart” so that was my motivation and i’ve been somewhat regularly making stuff the whole time.......the talent of Befriending Cats lol but that’s just “just be chill with them”
48: Have you ever started to try learning about a subject only to realize it’s not something you enjoy?
not really lmao cuz like i’m out here barely ever starting to try to learn a subject that i Do enjoy

The Complete Guide to Flights and Airports in Costa Rica
Flying can be stressful, especially in a foreign country. The following guide will inform you on international flight options to Costa Rica, give you an idea of what to expect at the airport, and hopefully leave you vacation-ready for your trip to Costa Rica.
How many international airports are in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica has two international airports: San Jose (Juan Santamaria International Airport – SJO) and Liberia (Daniel Oduber International Airport- LIR).
Which Costa Rica airport is best to fly into San Jose or Liberia?
Most destinations are accessible from San Jose. If your first travel destination is the Guanacaste region, you’ll want to fly into Liberia. If you’re headed to the Nicoya Peninsula, Arenal Volcano, or Monteverde, you might want to compare both San Jose and Liberia flights. Of course, there are exceptions.
Getting the Best Airfare Prices
If you are price or time-sensitive, you may want to compare the flights coming in at both airports. To get the best airfare prices, it helps to have flexible travel dates. Additionally, you may want to consider traveling in the green season (May – December) when ticket prices come down. The months of September and October have some of the lowest ticket prices. I would recommend checking Google Flights and creating an email notification alerting you to changes in the airfare if you aren’t quite ready to buy.

Can you fly direct to Costa Rica?
Yes, if you’d prefer to fly direct, there are non-stop flight options to Costa Rica. There are many non-stop flight options from major cities in the United States. British Airways has also recently launched direct flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to San Jose (SJO).
Talk to an Expert
If you need help with this at all, our Costa Rica Experts can advise. If you have flexibility in your itinerary, I would suggest working with a Costa Rica Expert to align your day-by-day with your preferred flight. That’s the beauty in custom itineraries.
Our Experts can also coordinate your vacation to minimize travel time. Choosing the wrong airport for your destination may lead to lost beach and rainforest time. Another consideration: just because you have flown into San Jose doesn’t mean you should fly out of San Jose on a multi-destination trip. Get an Expert opinion!
Juan Santamaria International Airport, San Jose
Juan Santamaria International Airport is located in the city of Alajuela, a 20-minute drive from downtown San Jose. It has the most international arrivals and departures in the country. The San Jose airport has a few large souvenir shops, bars, cafes, a few smaller specialty shops, and a small duty-free shop.
The capital city of San Jose is also an up-and-coming cultural hub with a lively dining scene, colorful markets, and buzzing city life. There are many accommodation options in downtown San Jose and the surrounding Central Valley where travelers might choose to stop off and explore for a night or two before continuing on to their next destination.
Daniel Oduber International Airport, Liberia
Liberia is the capital of the Guanacaste region in the northwest of Costa Rica. Compared to downtown San Jose, Liberia is smaller with fewer surrounding accommodation options. The Liberia international airport is also smaller than the San Jose international airport, but it’s still modern with some small shops, cafes, and a small duty-free shop.
Most of the travelers flying into Liberia are visiting Guanacaste, Monteverde, or Arenal/La Fortuna. Many of the beach hotels in the Guanacaste region (e.g. Papagayo Peninsula or Tamarindo Beach) are roughly one hour or less drive from the airport.
When you arrive in Costa Rica
Before landing in Costa Rica, flight attendants will pass out immigration and customs forms to be completed on the plane. Upon deplaning, you’ll follow signs for immigration and wait in line for the immigration booth. At the immigration booth, you’ll answer some questions about your stay and show your passport and immigration form to the agent.
It’s helpful to have printed documents outlying your itinerary to show immigration – such as the travel packet we provide or confirmations of things booked on your own. The airports have free WiFi but it can be spotty or hard to connect to so we recommend doing this from home before your trip.
You will then head to baggage claims, through customs, and on to your transportation. At customs, you will give an agent your customs form and put your luggage through an x-ray scanner (this should only take a minute). Once you’ve connected with your driver, you will be transported to your pre-arranged hotel.
Entry requirements
US passports are mandatory and must be valid at least six months or longer beyond your travel dates. Your passports need to be in good condition as Costa Rican immigration can deny entry if passports are damaged in any way. Please check the entry requirements if you are arriving from other countries. We do recommend carrying a photocopy of your passport and that you leave the original in a safe place as you travel about Costa Rica.
It is recommended that minors under the age of 18 years traveling with only one parent or guardian have additional documentation in an effort to prevent international child abduction. Minors under 18 years traveling with adults with a different last name are also advised to have additional documentation. Many countries have initiated such procedures for minors at entry and exit points. We would suggest a notarized letter from the parent or guardian not traveling if leaving their country of residence.
Domestic Airport Connections
Aerobell Airlines, Sansa Airlines, and Skyway Air are Costa Rica’s domestic airlines. Domestic flight durations are generally under 60 minutes.
Upon landing at the San Jose international airport, if you are connecting to a remote destination like the Osa Peninsula, the Nicoya Peninsula, or Tortuguero National Park, you’ll likely take a domestic flight. San Jose has a domestic terminal in addition to the international terminal. The domestic terminal is not connected to the international airport and travelers can walk, grab a taxi, or hire a driver to take them between terminals.
San Jose has the most domestic flights going in and out. In some cases, domestic flights to certain locations can only be taken to/from San Jose. For example, even though Tambor is a bit closer to Liberia, the only domestic flights to/from Tambor are through San Jose. If traveling across the country, from Drake Bay to Liberia for instance, there may be a short layover in San Jose.
To accommodate the small airstrips throughout the country, domestic planes are generally single or double engine propeller planes holding under 20 passengers. For this reason, domestic airlines have luggage limits ranging from 30-40 lbs per person depending on the airline – one more reason to pack light!
Charter flights are also available for travelers interested in flying private. In the San Jose province, the Tobias Bolanos International Airport (Pavas) operates charter flights. For travelers landing at Juan Santamaria International Airport and connecting to a charter flight departing from Tobias Bolanos International Airport, travelers will need to arrange for a driver or a taxi between airports.
Car Rentals
For travelers who opt to rent a car, the majority of car rental agencies have desks at the airport. After customs and immigration, you’ll want to find the appropriate car rental desk, give them your reservation, and be on your way. Car rental drop-offs are also arranged in advance based on your departing airport.
Airport Money Exchange
If you’d like, you can also exchange money at the airport. There is an ATM in the baggage claim area and a money exchange booth as you clear customs. However, you can also exchange money at your hotel. Rental car companies accept US dollars.
Departing Costa Rica
Many destinations are over an hour away from the airport and travelers should plan flight times accordingly. We recommend flights leave after 12 pm if a client is staying more than two hours away from any given airport. We recommend checking in at least three hours prior to international flights.
Domestic flights can make transportation upon leaving Costa Rica easier & more convenient, but again we recommend a buffer time of at least 2 hours between when a domestic flight lands and an international flight takes off – mostly due to unpredictable weather within Costa Rica and the fact that local airports are small and can experience delays if there are too many planes on the runway.
There is a $31 departure tax that must be paid in cash or by Visa/MasterCard upon departure from both international airports. The departure tax can be paid in advance at some banks or hotels. Some airlines include it in their ticket price; while others do not. Please check with your airline. If you are playing your departure tax at the airport, it can be paid at the airport at a special counter before you have checked-in.

i’m home, and despite my last two days not being that chill i still has a really lovely time out there lol!
it was gorgeous and served to be the break that i wanted it to be, but it was as if the final two days were there to bring my ass back to earth bc i got in a really fucked situation by getting severely lost for hours (on foot/walker) w/ all my luggage on my way to the last hotel by the airport, and then the next day i got caught in torrential downpour after resolving to just do my hair and makeup despite 1. feeling really, really rough and 2. having to literally over medicate myself really hard to move about because the pain was delayed and climbing, and moving was getting harder and harder and my co-ordination was dipping - and then i nearly missed a bus that i had to wait five (5) hours for and had to like trot? as fast as i could physically manage through the rain towards the bus and i could see the bus stop in the distance but it was too far to make it and i like burst into tears (because ow and also like... what the fuck actually was that 24hour period) and someone hopped straight out of their running car behind me and sprinted ahead of me to stop the bus(i was yelling ‘don’t go, please’ at this point lol but the driver couldn’t hear me) and it waited for me and the driver was so nice once he’d seen me!! he helped me and told me not to cry in french which was so nice, i felt like such a sausage but like i had really had enough by then lol! then i got to the airport and i’m ngl, i think this next bit is just londoner privilege because the service at the airport was really bad, and on top of having rude staff, minimal facilities and vegetarian options(so i couldn’t even buy anything to cheer me up until the plane) and no priority (disabled) customer assistance on the Bordeaux end for some reason (so, pain!) until the very end when i was like dragging my suitcase on the verge of tears(but honestly they were so rude and clipped that i wasn’t gonna let them see me cry) and taking like one heaving step every ten seconds and the British Airways staff on the plane had just caught sight of me and were exchanging looks at the door like ‘um... wtf why have u just left this passenger’ THEN the men/bordeaux airport staff that were stood there finally found their job descriptions and began taking my bags off of me and holding onto my arm to support me after leaving me by myself through the whole airport and having me get on last which isn’t supposed to happen, because it makes things so much harder for me - especially with a neurological condition that affects my balance trying to get down a full aisle without hurting anyone or myself? not to mention my spine but... ok. anyway, they left after i sat down and were schmoozing in front of the BA staff and i was having none of it, so after they left the BA staff rushed to me and asked if i was okay and gave me tissues and a water bottle which i thought was rly kind!! they promised to have my assistance ready on my return (and they did) as usual and i did my best to relax on the flight, having to actually medicate on the plane for the first time which i found really embarrassing but i also had some really yummy vegetarian sandwiches at a discount which was really nice!!
when i arrived, london kicked in the way i know it to be and i was immediately glad to be home despite everything. everyone helped patiently with my bags and brought me to a wheelchair with luggage space at the plane door and i was SO relieved!! i felt like my body was hanging on by a thread by this point and i was a bit medication foggy so i wanted to bloody hug them all lmao. then LGW staff took me in the wheelchair to a giant golf cart and i was sooooo excited!! not only was i not going to have to keep stressing my body, but the guy that’s come to get me is really jolly and sweet, and the experience is actually going to be kinda fun and i’ll have my first time in a golf cart! so we transfer into there, and he whizzes me around the airport and we chat the whole time about his life and mine and my holiday, and he drives me through border control/the passport bit, customs, baggage claim and we blast through all the steps at the airport together and then he drops me off right at the entry gates to the station at the other side of the airport and i was so grateful, i wanted to hug him too for being so kind and making my return as smoothe as possible! (i didn’t tho us londoners are shy lmao)
i definitely think that the last two days were an emotional rollercoaster for me, but i don’t want it to come across like i didn’t enjoy the rest because i actually really did!! i had a lovely time for the whole time i was in central Bordeaux, everything went really smoothly until i had to change hotels - but in my mind, that last chunk was almost a separate experience from the rest of my break (and it was in a way, it was almost 6 miles away from the area that holds all of the fond memories!!) and it was vastly, vastly different which actually helps me separate it. so last night, and even yesterday people were asking me if i enjoyed myself and i was stammering because i couldn’t find the words to say like ‘the last two days/day and a half or so has been really taxing and the physical pain is still setting in so i’m hurting at the moment but everything that happened before i left quinconces and got lost was magical and i learned some lessons about myself and saw lots of beautiful things’ but yeah, i did really like bordeaux and would definitely go back to explore when the circumstances are back to normal - but maybe i’d visit from my preferred haunt of the south of France and catch a train there! i’m a bit put off by bordeaux airport hahaha
now a boring life stuff summary: i was actually going to just force myself to go straight into a meeting at work later today with all my ‘change starts now’ guns blazing, but obv i think the body has reached the pain peak so it’s probably better to have a rest for a day, maybe take my time and get anything sorted that i can without moving about too much instead such as important phonecalls and chasing up any pressing matters! i know that i have a habit of going really hard and juggling everything i possibly can at once sometimes to my own detriment, so i’m still going to just get stuck in with productivity straight away in a way that satisfies me and is in my best interests - just at a pace that’s actually sustainable for me both physically and emotionally which is what i think is really important right now. i think instead of relying on sheer force of determination, strategising and tapping into that when i need to is ultimately more effective long term. i’ve got to apply the few inner lessons i took from bordeaux and from really being with myself for a while and i’ve got to apply these things along with what i already know and where i see myself going wrong sometimes, and i have to keep in mind that i’m going in without a lot of the coping mechanisms i used towards the end of the year - but also ones that i know how to live without already!! no more burning out, no more burning out!! that’s our main goal for 2019. (tho if i can manage a bit of tidying instead of going into work straight away today... just a little!!)
