i pray my bf never finds out how friendless i am its so embarrassing . i havent been sad about it in a long time. but i kinda am tonight

I like how the city of Baldur's Gate is handled in bg3

but I can't even begin to tell you how much I vastly prefer how much scummier and dark it is in Descent into Avernus. It's like they took the worst qualities of New York, Vegas, and LA and distilled them into a single corrupt city that you'd have to actually be mad to live in

and I just think that's beautiful

AU idea: the souls of all the past heroes remain within the sword after their worlds ended

I haven´t completely thought this through yet, so a lot of my thought process is still very vague. I think the souls might talk in spirit language like the ghosts, so Kiwi can understand them. But Audrey, or whoever the current hero is doesn´t immediately so she´d have to learn first? Maybe as in she can´t understand what they´re saying exactly but she does perceive something, idk like incomprehensible whispers maybe? Or just whatever you hear when you don´t speak spirit language?

Also, I´m not sure if I´d prefer the souls to be distinct characters kinda like the past Avatars in ATLA or that over time they became more connected to each other and the defining edges of their proper selves blur into a whole? Both has potential so idk

This opens so many lines of thought for me, like what would this mean for Audrey´s desperate need to be special? I mean she knows that there were heroes before her but being directly confronted with them? Idk, I just think that could give interesting alterations to her little crisis but I´ve already rambled way more about this than I intended to hehe

Nevertheless, I will definetly be doing more with this concept

I'm so lost in the sauce on my durge that I kinda forget there's supposed to be a video game attached sometimes tbh

#usually when the character completely takes over the game in my mind it's a moment of 'hm maybe I don't actually enjoy this game'#but I don't actually feel that's what's happening here I just think I'm That Excited.#I think a lot of it is having a character outside of an original story who doesn't exist in isolation #like. who has a web of relationships outside of just canon characters that I'm invested in and have been from so early #and we can keep building. by god we can keep building.#I also just haven't had so much fun on a totally new character in fucking forever and it's awesome #while there are definitely some novel aspects (paladin) I have also called them like. the Greatest Hits of everything I've ever done.#woag. fallen angel coded pure idealist imperfect victim Dex/Cha assassin knight with a unique personal relationship with the divine #and the most important backstory characters aren't trapped in the backstory #this rules.#rambling #balthazar is a self indulgent character as well but this is SO self indulgent. healing to the middle schooler in my heart.#and covered in blood!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#Jay does this thing on second dates where he tests the other person #he wants to make sure they'd like all of him. every part of him that may throw others off or realize he's insane #Matt and Jay were friends during high school. dated in college and broke up just before finding out Jay was pregnant #they decided to co-parent Mona and just view one another as friends #Mona really likes Don and Tk. loves Peter. though dislikes Lucy quite a bit because of how much she hears Jay complain about her with Matt #Mona is very close with Jay despite living with Matt and only coming over to Jay during the holidays/some weekends #Jay moved into the complex about a year prior to meeting Peter. he's had 5 roommates since moving in #Lucy has been the worst compared to the rest but is the only one Jay tolerates (since she's young and reminds him of himself. pretransition #Jay and Don hated each other in the beginning. only really bonded over talking shit about a neighbor #and Jay saying “anyway I gotta finish watching the game.” Don saying how he wanted to too but his tv is fucked so they watch together #Tk does have feelings for Jay but Jay just can't take the hint. he simply just thinks he's making jokes and is very kind #Jay really cares about Lucy. he often checks up on her when she's out and buys her dinner if he didn't make anything for them #and she ofc tries to make his life easier by cleaning the apartment making him coffee in the mornings etc etc #also Jay and Don sometimes just talk about marriage. how both of theirs didn't work out (I headcanon that for Don)#how it'd go - Don: I just wish I showed her how much I cared... Jay: I chased mine down with a knife. didn't kill her though. I promise.#Jay also calls Don's kid (the cop) Don Jr. he doesn't mind it that much. it's mainly cause Jay never remembers his name #my art #yb peter #Yb don #Void #Jay #Yb tk #Yb lucy #none of them die btw. Peter kills some guy who treated Jay poorly #the entirety of Jay and Peter's relationship before the abduction takes place over June #I say so cause it was a bit alarming to Tk. really need to get into bg3 so i can finally move on from elden ring. that game (fanbase) has been nothing but pain and suffering i actually feel like i’m starting to resent it now
